The property it self is a bit dated as is most of Waikiki and ready for a pressure wash and some fresh paint.
All the basics are there. The view and pool is amazing and the adjacent property to the hawaiin village is great as well.
Totally safe day or night 7th floor unit is high enough and there is a lovely penthouse restaurant which serves breakfast lunch and diner.
The ride up the exterior glass elevator is exhillerating to say the least.
The management encourages pictures and to explore the restaurants layout with exquisite wine encased in various glass enclosures.
I nice deep clean with mr clean or something similar would really add to the arrival experience.
Without a doubt, booking 8-10 mins the in advance you’ll get the price u need and a vacation worth going on.
The beech chairs and umbrellas were a nice added touch.

We have stayed in Waikiki numerous times, but never down this way on the beach.
The ilikai is hidden gem of a property that feels secluded from the busyness. The property has two great pools, restaurants and shops - and a short walk to Hilton Hawaiian village brings more options for dining and shopping. The shopping mall is also very walkable.
1417 at the Ilikai was perfect for my family - 2 adults and 2 kids. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The two beds were comfortable as was the sofa bed. We did not find the street to be too noisy - probably because we were so tired after our daytime adventures! The one main closet was big enough for all of our belongings. One thing we felt was missing was some hooks or additional bars to hang towels and wet swim wear in the bathroom.
Laundry facilities were easy to find and use.
We had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again.

The host, Arvis, was very accommodating and awesome to work with. Everything we needed was provided, including lots of beach toys, chairs, etc. Yes, the unit needs a little updating, but the furniture, including the bed, were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. We really didn't spend much time in the unit because the pools on the property are awesome and the beach really close. Didn't rent a car because everything we needed was within walking distance. Very enjoyable experience.

Great location to stay for New Years! The condo views are beautiful. We sat on the balcony and watched fireworks on Friday night (you will need to be by the lagoon/on beach to see the NYE fireworks on main beach; or there are others to right in far distance). The condo was clean and provided the basic needs for our stay. Bedrooms/beds were comfortable. Kitchen is great to cook in. Main pool very nice. Everything in walking distance (and easy to get Uber when needed). We enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Great location and view and from there it goes downhill. Condo #2029 pictures are not representative of what shape the condo is in. Walls are scuffed and in need of paint. Carpet is worn and has holes. Bed pillows are of low quality and stained. Kitchen sinks grout needs attention. Electric stove needs a deep cleaning especially the burner drip pans. The most disgusting was the air vent above the stove. It was caked with grime and accumulated dirt/dust. No fire extingusher and there needs to be a posted placard for emergency exit route on entry door. Entry door needs adjustment as it sticks when trying to open. I'm 6'1 in good shape and it was hard for me to open. Bathroom was clean and shower was good. Bed was comfortable.

A beautiful unit with fantastic views. The Hilton fireworks from the lanai were awesome. The sunrise from the lagoon and sea wall were stunning. About a 10 min walk to the main strip in Waikiki.

The property is good but needs upgrades in the kitchen. The sofa needs to be replaced or shampoed. The linen is very good quality and soft. The location is fantastic, the property manager is very nice and readily available as needed. The garage is a plus!!! The condo building is well maintained. Cleaness was a concern because, when i looked under the beds, there was so much dust and trash from previous guests. The bathroom was sparkling clean though.
Overall our stay was amazing and I would stay there again.

We loved the condo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We thought that the fact that my daughter and I had both caught colds would dampen our spirits and throw a wrench in our vacation—it might have altered some of our plans but we still had a fabulous time. The condo was outfitted with everything we needed to feel at home; a well-stocked kitchen, adequate linens and towels, and appliances that worked very well. I thought the bed was super comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to our questions and it was a pleasure corresponding with her/them. We are already considering a return visit to this condo soon! Highly recommend!

Let's start with how spectacular the view from the lanai is, it's simply breathtaking to just sit and embrace the environment.
With that said, the unit is very dated, can use a bit of TLC to get the place more comfortable and cozier. The dining room table only has 4 chairs around it and it's quite small, if you're going with a family as we did, you'll need to sit separated and/or sit outside on the lanai which is what we did for the most part. The kitchen has limited supplies, i.e. serving bowls and such that might be needed for a family meal. The range is electric, and the bottom right burner was broken, and this is the power burner that people would normally use to cook. In the living room, the couch is comfortable but there were a few spots. There are 2 bedrooms in the unit but the wall dividing the rooms isn't completely closed, there is about a 5" gap against the window which gives you ZERO privacy. In the front bedroom, there is NO dresser to put your clothes in, so you'll have to hang up your clothes and/or leave it in your luggage for the duration of your stay. Both bedrooms have a very nice firm beds, but the blankets were very thin. The weather definitely was nice, so a thicker blanket probably wasn't necessary but if you like the "fluffy" bed, you'll have to pack your own.
Washer START button is VERY sensitive, it took us about 30 minutes to start it every time we ran it. No gym access either and pools were marginal at best.

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful condo. The location was perfect, and it was just enough space for the four of us. The little extras we found in the closet, snorkel gear, a beach cooler, boogie boards, Etc made our trip that much the better. The Ilikai is beautiful, and having shops on the lobby floor made our stay very convenient. If we ever get the chance to return to Honolulu, this would be my first choice of accommodations. Gloria and her property management team was super easy to work with, and they even accommodated changing the dates of our trip. All in all, we love staying in this condo, even if I did fall and Fracture my elbow on the first day of our vacation while I was out and about and Waikiki!

Enjoyed our holiday at Ilikai. Spacious unit with amenities we needed for our family. Good view of marina from 11th floor. Condo needs some updating like the very loud primary air conditioner. It runs none stop and makes it hard to have conversations in living room and lanai. Some sleepless nights because of it. Stove knob broken on one burner. Slow drain in bathroom but luckily did not clog. We appreciated the beach chairs and bag for going to the beach. Overall Ilikai great property but feeling its age. Escalator and an elevator often not working. Wallpaper pealing off wall pooling to floor and no one seems to notice. Easy access to condo using door code. No desk check-in needed. Just go to your room. Thank you for great vacay.

Our 7 person multi generational family (14-80yrs) had an amazing time in Waikiki. The view from the lanai is stunning with the marina and ocean. We enjoyed many rainbows and spent lots of time on the lanai. The rental is clean and comfortable with space for everyone. It’s easy to walk to shops, bars, restaurants. Hilton Village is just to the south with lots of shopping and casual dining. We bought supplies (beach towels/sunscreen)at ABC, and ordered groceries from Safeway. Valet parking was quick and easy. We brought our own games. The kitchen is handy for making coffee, breakfast etc. There weren’t any measuring cups so we did a best guess for pancakes. The workout room/gym is for Ilikai Hotel guests only. Walk around the Hilton lagoon to watch sunrise over diamond head. Snorkeling from shore at Queen’s beach was great (long walk just south of Waikiki pier). Cinnamon and Pesca are both great restaurants at the Ilikai and Tropics Bar and Grill at the Hilton is a tasty casual option on the beach. We also enjoyed drinks at Barefoot Bar. Absolutely would recommend this condo to friends and family and hope to stay again!

The Ilikai is an ideal location and this small condo has all you need to enjoy it. While not luxurious, it is priced right and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable. The view is great. The location near the elevator is convenient. Bring your own towels and beach needs as none are provided. Contactless check in/out is simple with keypad access. No dishwasher but, really who needs one for a week in Hawaii.

Fun to stay in the place Hawaii 50 made famous. Our unit was exactly as pictured. Wonderful spot to watch the Friday fireworks! Appreciated Ilikai activities a couple of the evenings we were here. Not too far to the mall, and many restaurant possibilities within walking distance. It was nice to have the property management company located in the building. There was an issue with the shower head, and they fixed it the same day.

The unit is renovated and overall cozy. Kitchen has some but not all needed supplies (cookie sheet, whisk, wooden spoon missing). Access to beach, pool and the wonderful Waikiki shopping and dining areas was easy. The fold-our couch was broken during our stay and an inflatable mattress was in the unit for use instead. This was not ideal but we made it work. We did not see a note to not use the couch that the rental company said they left.

This was my first time staying at Ilikai Hotel and Suites, renting an apartment through Ali'i Beach Rentals. Loved it! The apartment was modern and clean, with plenty of storage. Appreciated the kitchen have a kettle. Loved the lanai - I started and ended everyday sitting outside, the sunsets were beautiful. I usually stay this end of Waikiki, as I like being walking distance to the beach and Ala Moana and Waikiki itself. It was useful being able to store my luggage ($2 bag) with front desk before checking in. Would definitely recommend, in fact have already done so!

The property was beautiful, tranquil and peaceful with excellent views of the ocean. The interior was top notch and included two separate balconies with upgraded interior furnishings and hosts are attentive and responded quickly when I inquired about TV operation.

A pink line trolley stops in front of condo and the bus is just down the block. Nice view of Diamond Heard and partial views of ocean.Cons-Very dirty. Ice and water don’t work, and behind it is covered in black mold. No kitchen sink drain cover. Greasey fan over cooktop stuck to me fingers-fire hazard. Floors are so dirty that the curtains are black, and discoloured. We replaced 2 of 3 burned out lightbulbs, one shade is missing all shades are full of dead bugs. Light in bedroom doesn’t work, and it is dark in there as it is. Smelly bed and sofa. The Sofa is very stained. Balcony chair and leather stools are damaged. There are Signs telling us what we can and can’t do. (Water the plants, etc) Missing tv box(management said last person took it- don’t you check your property?) only ~8 channels, mostly non English channels. They sent repairman to fix the ice maker- the workers said it is fine. (we had no ice the whole stay). We had a false alarm fire bell go off, and we came back to the condo to see men in the condo. Unsafe- a fire alarm just went off! Missing bar stools, chipped wall corners and needs a paint refresh. With a very good cleaning and some minor repairs, this would be a lovely place! I always videotape the unit just before we check out.

First time to Waikiki. Great location, picture perfect view and accommodating. I added an extra night last minute and they had no problem with making it happen. Definitely recommend and will be back

A little tight for a family of four. We have two young kids so we made it work. Room was clean. Not much as far as cooking amenities go, limited pots and pans and cooking utensils. We had to call for a couple extra towels but they were delivered in a timely manner. I would stay again if I had three or less people in my group.

This condo was absolutely perfect for our Waikiki stay. We were here for 5 nights, and the space was just right for our family. Clean, comfortable, and located in a great spot. The Ilikai is a bit outdated, but you can't beat the price and the convenience. There are also a few amazing poke and coffee shops in the hotel, which were the cherry on top. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in Honolulu. However, the VRBO did not meet our expectations for the price we paid. The floors were not cleaned. We had to use the bath towels to clean the floors which were very dirty. The master bathrooms' shower drain was backed up. The bed is too low to the floor. Also, the sheets were so dingy and old we had to go out to purchase new sheets which only cost $20.00 for the set. In addition, we could not sit on the balcony to enjoy the view or fresh air because it was covered with bird poop, which should have been cleaned prior to our stay. Also, the tenants above us smoked cigarettes throughout the day which added to the balcony issue. We clearly overpaid for this unit unfortunately, it was too late once we had you arrived. Our stay at the Hilton Hotel Waikiki was less expensive with daily cleaning and great location.

The unit was clean, bright and perfect! The bed was comfy. The pillows were a little flat for me, but there were so many that it wasn't an issue. The AC kept the room comfy. You have access to Roku, Netflix and other stations on the TV. The kitchen had everything you would need. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. If I had to have a complaint, it would be the showerhead- there wasn't a lot of water pressure, but it still worked! The balcony overlooks the 2 pools and has an ocean view. The elevator wait times were excellent. Never more than a minute wait. It is the perfect location! It's a 1 minute walk next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village where my conference was. There are plenty of food options in walking distance and Door Dash/Grub Hub/Uber Eats is always an option. I will definitely be staying here next year for my conference!

Spent 3 weeks in this unit and it was clean and quiet, plenty of towels and appreciated starter supplies of TP, coffee, paper towel and trash bags. Would recommend investing in a coffee pot with automatic shutoff, and a new couch. Other than that, very comfortable unit and an amazing view.

Our check-in was so smooth and easy, even arriving after the office closed.
Upon entering the place was clean and beautifully set up. We all instantly went to the views! How perfect! The room with the two single beds and bathroom was perfect for our two adult kids, while the primary was lovely with the separation and own bathroom.
We didn't hear noise from other rooms at all. There is a little city noise in the primary bedroom in the morning, but nothing drastic.
The living and dining area were just right for relaxing and playing cards. We used the kitchen to have breakfast and sandwich food ready and frozen pizza. The $5 Uber to Walmart is a great money saver on food, so we only needed to eat out for dinner.
We spent most time outside, of course.
Check out was super easy as well.
This is definitely an easy location for all that is Honolulu.
We recommend snorkeling out front to swim with the turtles, swimming at Ala Moana beach and Waikiki reach, riding around on the Pink Line trolley to get oriented to the city, ordering Poke at Foodland Fams, renting a day car from Turo to drive around the island - Lanikai beach is fun for snorkeling as well - very clear and lots of fish, visiting Pearl Harbor, golfing - our son's preference had to rent clubs, and generally hanging out with family and friends.
We had a marvelous time and cannot recommend this location in Honolulu enough.

My family and I stayed at this condo for 7 days. It has everything you'd need for a visit to the beach; beach toys for the kids, beach chairs, kid size life jackets, snorkeling gear. These all all the things I found very useful with a 4 year old. Comfortable bed and a sofa bed. We were able to see the sunset from our balcony every evening. The host was very responsive. We would stay here again if we are ever back in Oahu.

This condo is located in a decent location but the lack of privacy is hard to get past. What you don't you see in this listings balcony shot is that there are other units to the right that stare right into this condo. The building is T shaped and this is a corner unit and the adjacent unit is right there. Given that this unit has no bedrooms the beds are in an open room you will find yourself pulling the drapes more then their open. There is also another hotel building to the left that's not being shown in that balcony shot but its further away and we didnt find it as intrusive. The unit is on the smaller side....The hotel Ilikia is older and doesn't offer much as far as restaurants or live entertainment.... go Next door to the Hilton they have live entertainment every night...
