The place was small and clean and has beautiful grounds! When we booked it said it had a pool which it does not. I contacted the hosts and they removed the pool listing from the VRBO site! It was about a mile walk to Waikiki Beach where everything is happening! Great people watching!

Gold Coast is the best area for me to stay when I’m visiting my daughter! Condo was clean, well stocked, comfortable bed, and wonderful communication with property manager. I will definitely be back. (Sunset view from the waterfront of building) Thank you!

Parking is almost impossible, shower is way too small. The unit was dirty around the base boards and the pillows were trash. I'm not trying to be rude or mean but just giving my honest opinion. It was not worth what I paid.

Large, well maintained property just as described. Great location, quieter but just a few minutes from the Waikiki bustle, plenty of open public parking, close to beach and diamond head. Highly recommended.

It was great to be away from the really busy area or Honolulu and still be within walking distance

I felt like I was staying in a "Retro Beach Surf Shack" which I REALLY Liked! I LOVED the kitchen & bathroom natural wood countertops! The kitchen was very well stocked with every quality utensil & appliance necessary to cook yummy meals. There was a nice dresser to unpack and put away clothes. The sofa & Futon was very comfortable, and perfect for me to sit back, prop my feet up, and get some work done on my computer. And it was so nice having a big sliding glass door to open and allow the trade winds to flow through, and the sun to shine in. Though I'm not a fan of the color black, especially in a bathroom, and a beach house, it was ok, since this cute place had so many things I liked. I am definitely NOT computer savvy, therefore, I had great difficulty getting in touch with the property manager through VRBO email. However, I was finally able to communicate through texts, and the manager and staff were really nice. I enjoyed my stay, and would definitely return in the future.

Wonderful hosts, clean and relaxing space! Gated entry and great place to listen to waves while reading. Community chest was a nice touch. We were steps away from Kaimana Beach, fine dining (Arden Waikiki) and walking path, Queen Kapiolani Park, Waikiki. The host was personable and thoughtful in every way.Mahalo nui loa!

Pros-The location was great- short walk to Waikiki Beach or downtown. Not far from diamond head. Has paid parking.Cons- building is in need of TLC. No pool.

Checking in was easy. Went to unit which had good views from each side of the room. Room needs updating, appeared to be a work in progress with drywall missing and damaged floor tiles. Large painting was a bit unsettling, definitely an island theme would be better.

Check-in was easier than expected and the unit has plenty of room for 2 people. Kitchen supplies were accurately described so don’t plan on cooking a gourmet meal but suitable for breakfast or simple meals. We loved the location and would stay here again! Had a slight issue our last night (there was a half marathon the day we were checking out and the surrounding streets were closed (the police said they could not guarantee we’d be able to leave) so we parked our car 3/4 mile away to ensure we could get to the airport. Parking across the street otherwise very easy. Overall we thought a great place despite that complication.

We loved this room! Could observe the birds in the tree canopy, see the surfers and see Diamond Head from the lanai. Good cross-ventilation meant we didn’t need the AC much.

What an incredible experience. When I needed help, the help was so fast and kind. The location is my favorite part of Waikiki. Great places to walk and swim. The condo has everything that you would need, including a sun, hat! Beach, chairs, towels, and even snorkeling gear. Amazing! Thank you for a beautiful stay.

We felt right at home here. The building is in a great area near Kapiolani Park and walking distance to the Waikiki beach area. Mark was very helpful with clear directions sent ahead of time. Loved the room!

We stayed five nights and our stay was great. We appreciated the nice bedding and towels, and everything else that was provided. We were able to find free on-street parking one day, and otherwise meter parking, which was no problem. Safe, walkable neighborhood.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the new, comfortable furniture on the lanai. It was too bad that much of the kitchenware needed to be cleaned before we could use it, but maybe that's typical nowadays.

Nice beaches just a short walk away, Kapiolani Park across the street, Diamond Head and Waikiki within walking distance. Convenient location for getting around by car or uber, and the parking space is a huge plus. The kitchen had all the essentials including pots, pans, utensils, knives etc and a decent amount of seasonings and oil. The unit has plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and bath and beach towels. There are washers and dryers available in the garage, and we never had any trouble finding open machines when we needed them. Common area/lawn was great for watching sunsets and we were lucky enough to see a whale. Overall this was a perfect location and size for the 2 of us, and Terri was an excellent host!

A comfortable affordable little bungalow right at the foot of Diamond Head. Great location for views of the beaches and mountains without being right in the crowds of Waikiki. Our only issue was that we couldn’t get in the water due mostly to our age. Perfect place for those under 65.

Well supplied vacation condo close and convenient to Waikiki and Diamond Head. Had all the amenities needed to support a great relaxing island getaway. Would stay there again.

This older unit is across from park. Difficult street parking, rec paying for parking. The beach in front of unit rocky and hard to access but San Soucii Beach is a couple blocks away. No grocery nearby but small convenience store 1 block. The unit has a small refrigerator, coffee pot , toaster, microwave. An electric skillet is the cookware. Diswashing is in bathroom sink which drains sluggishly Hard to really cook a meal there, kind of like college style cookIng setup.

Great location, and the ocean-facing lanai was wonderful. Microwave didn't work. The kitchen was pretty poorly equipped. No bedspread or duvet of any kind on bed in second bedroom. Hangers were a pain to use--they don't come off the clothing rod. No privacy because window coverings are all sheer to semi-sheer and there are other condos right next door. The one bathroom was adequate pretty small. In general, a dated property that could really use a number of upgrades to make it more comfortable.

Six of us stayed at this property for nine days in March 2025. The location, views, and overall amenities were good. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs. Tips to know are; there is a narrow stairway above the elevator level you will be carrying your suitcases up, read all the particulars. There is a limited amount of paper products, so if your stay is longer than a few days, you'll need to shop. We enjoyed our stay! amountof paper products stocked, so bring

All was great except the check in process. The only room recommendation is maybe some darker/blackout shades as the room is very bright in the morning.

March 2025

Overall this is a two star room in a two star hotel. Best feature is the location and neighborhood with access to park, beaches and walkable dining. The place was very clean and had no bugs. Great ocean breezes, but plenty of street noise and neighboring condo lighting with open windows. Only place we have ever stayed that provided eye masks and earplugs on the night stands. Our experience with the rental agency and their automated booking system was horrible! They withheld our check in information until just hours before checking in after we had paid in full weeks before and completed their boarding pass process well in advance. They spoiled all of our anticipation and excitement for a lifetime trip accusing us of an invalid signature on our rental agreement that they had previously accepted and returned to us. We wouldn’t consider booking through them again.

The Diamond Head Beach property was a wonderful place to stay! It was roomy with plenty of places to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of both Diamond Head and the ocean including a private lanai. This studio is very clean and well kept. The host, Mark was easy to contact, responsive and very pleasant! I've now found my go-to place. One piece of advice is it might be worth paying to park as there were times available parking was very far away, especially on the weekend.

My friends and I called this place a non-hotel, hotel. Safe, secure, clean, the property was exactly as pictured. The property has a great outside communal space with tables and a grassy area that overlooks the ocean.

March 2025

We stayed in this building along with other friends. Group of 10, with 5 condos rented. It was nice to be able to sit in the community patio and grassy area as a group with an ocean view. We would all bring down our food and beverages in mornings and evenings. This allowed us hang out as a group without being in a restaurant. Building has everything needed for a nice stay. All units were clean and the response from property management was outstanding. It was great that everyone in my party could fine a room style that suited them and their budgets. We prefer this side of Waikiki so can get away from the noise and hustle in Waikiki proper. About the unit, giving 3 starts overall because the blinds really need to go. It's impossible to open the blinds and with them down all the time, I felt like I was living in a cage. Just like the photo shows, so I knew to expect those blinds, but it took me a couple days to get used to the experience. The blinds make it almost impossible to open the slider for a breeze. Everyone in my party agreed they would stay in this building again. I would consider a different condo, but this one is good enough. Higher the better, otherwise you'll be looking at roofs, but this is reflected in the price.

This was our third time staying at this property, our first time in this unit. We enjoyed it immensely! The ocean views are spectacular and the unit is well-appointed and comfortable. The location on S Shore is simply the best!

February 2025

Location was perfect just outside of Waikiki. Used Kaimana as our home beach for kids. Rented a car a few days from rental on southside of Waikiki. Short walk there, bus back. Nice to be outside of Waikiki traffic when driving to other parts of island. Nicely equipped condo. AC a bit noisy, but not big issue.

February 2025

We had a great time at Diamond Head Beach. Great views from the balcony and the property patio area. The traffic was a little noisy at times, but nothing excessive - Waikiki is a busy place! We appreciated the toaster, hot plate, and coffee maker for light breakfast prep. I highly recommend this property if staying in Honolulu for a few days.

Enjoyed our stay at the Diamond Head Hotel & Resort. We really liked the back patio where we could watch the sun set and eat at the tables. Mahalo...

Perfect spot!! We were there during the storm & it would have been really nice if the water would get hot, it only got warm! The onsite property manager was great. The booking manager was unresponsive or took a long time to respond and when he responded - he did not address our specific questions. Very frustrating. We will be back. Thank you!

The property was conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and stores and the beach. Nice place. Clean. The best place to watch sunsets from your lanai.

The spacious, clean, and well-appointed suite met our needs perfectly. The location was superb. It was a treat to be able to walk out the door and step into the ocean where tropical fish and sea turtles swam.

February 2025

we had a TV that did not work even when they replaced its so without communication the whole time we were there during the storm we were in our room from 8 am until 5 pm mopping up water from under the door spent way to much time trying to get the TV to work and it never did the manager was helpful (front desk) but still couldn't fix it. we have been staying at the DHBH since 1977 so were very disappointed

Difficult access for mobility challenges. Parking. Arrived to property, difficulty accessing lock box, finally able to obtain key/parking FOB. Parking in garage very tight, even for small car. Park nearby. Beach down street, walking distance. For more able, walking to town accessible. For our needs, unit was challenging r/t Microwave in upboard above fridge - had to use step stool (very small), danger for those with balance and mobility issues. Possibly for anyone getting hot food/drinks out. TV was difficult, no instruction on site - kept getting "no signal". Have to say, value for this unit based on viewing unit next door lacked for appeal for homey to feel and better ammenities. People in general living/staying were very friendly. Security on duty at night.

Great location, nice beach close by and a fountain and park close for outdoor activities. Lounging out by the Ocean was a highlight

February 2025

We loved staying in this area. It's next to the park and the ocean. Quiet for Waikiki and a little secluded. Enjoyed waking up the to sound of the fountain each morning. The T.V. in the room was complicated to figure out and didn't get local stations other than prerecorded local news. Maybe add an antenna to the T.V.? Just a suggestion. Husband was bummed he couldn't watch football on network T.V.

Beautiful 12th floor view from this 1 bedroom apartment. About a 15 walk from Waikiki, with good snorkeling in front of the building itself. The apartment was clean, comfort and quiet, although the bedroom A/C unit was a little noisy. We'd stay here again.
