We had a great time at the apartment. On arrival Jo met us at the apartment and gave a tour of the property. The location was ideal, just a short walk to Kapiolani Park and beach. The location of this property was excellent for my needs. The building was quiet and the unit was all I needed. I never used the kitchenette so I can't evaluate that but it looked well-stocked. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There's a small air conditioner that is more than sufficient to cool the place and a big fan when you don't want to use it. The views from the backyard were amazing. Parking was a breeze most nights at the park across the street. I would come back.

This was a good little home base as we explored the island. It’s at the far south end of Honolulu, so it took a little longer to get to anything north since we had to navigate city traffic. Clean, a little dated, quiet, and very close to Diamond Head. The mattress & pillows were not as comfortable as we’d have liked, but we’ve learned to not to expect much of bedding in this price range. Overall a good stay. It was hard to find the right foot traffic entrance when checking in, even with the written directions, and we quickly learned to never leave the room without the fob since it was necessary for getting back in the gate.

This location is wonderful. You’re in easy walking distance to Waikiki but it’s very quiet and calm at the apartment. The shared beachfront area is lovely and the perfect place for a morning coffee. The apartment isn’t the most updated but it’s perfectly functional and comfortable. Just be aware that the kitchen area is definitely a kitchenette and there’s only one sink in the bathroom.

We love staying at Diamond Head Beach Hotel. Each unit is individually owned so the review is for this unit. Exactly what we needed! Enough room in the bedroom and even more in the living room. We stayed here mainly due to the proximity to the honolulu marathon. The unit is stripped to the bare minimum. There were four towels for the entirety of our 4 night-stay for 4 people. There were a few *critical* things (both tangible and conceptual) that were missing or lacking of. No toiletries were provided, and when I informed the host he did not apologize but rather said I should look harder as he is certain there is some in the bathroom. The inside of the unit did not appear to have been professionally cleaned. There were mold-like residue on the shower curtain. The exterior door is covered with grime. The blinds in the living room were not working and was left up, so we lacked privacy during our stay. I did alert the host about the issue, and again was told to try harder as he is certain it should be working. He eventually sent someone to look at it, and that person confirmed that it was indeed broken. No apologies from the host whatsoever. We decided not to pursue repairs as we are nearing the end of our trip, and did not want to be bothered with people going in and out of our space.
TL;DR
Unit was subpar and customer service. *Two stars at the most.*

A great condo unit in a great location away from the crowds of Waikiki.
Bathroom:
Shower pressure was solid.
Good sized and clean. Located in the bedroom, which could pose problems if you are sharing the unit with kids or another couple (sleeping on the pullout couch).
Kitchen:
Fully equipped to cook except for b pot holders.
Coffee maker was dependable and great to have. We left a couple cold paks in the freezer hopefully for future users. Great having a cooler to bring to the beach with us for cold snicks and sandwiches.
Bedroom: Great king-sized bed that was extremely comfortable. Lots of room to hang and store clothes in, closets with hangers and dresser drawers. Larger sized bedroom.
Location: Great being so close to Kapiolani park to watch little tyke soccer on weekends. Also great location for morning runs along the Ala Wai canal, around Diamond Head and close enough to walk to, to hike to the top. Also within a good walk to the Kapiolani Community Center Farm Market. We had our own beach nearby (Kaimana). We call it ours because it was close enough to our place and wasn’t overrun by tourists. The outdoor space with loungers, faced the ocean and had amazing sunsets.
Overall: would highly recommend to other visitors that want to get away from the crowds but don’t mind a long walk into Waikiki for dinner or drinks. We used the Biki city bike services often, so getting around was convenient, safe and an inexpensive alternative to Uber/Lyft.

Kept the windows open the whole time but none of the windows on the south side would open so to get a cross breeze had to keep front door open. This is an amazing 1 bedroom with scenic ocean and Mountain View’s. Located far enough from the noise and crowd of tourists but close enough to walk to Waikiki. Cool trade winds with lanai screen doors minimizes the need for air conditioning. Amenities present including private beachfront to watch the sunset. Mark, the property manager, kept in close communication with accurate details to the check in process. We were even able to check in early. Shades are see through, so there is no privacy in room. We had to undress in the dark, so nobody could see us. Makeshift curtain in bathroom is also see through, so no privacy there. The view is just of other apartments and buildings that can look at you. The bed lacks any firmness whatsoever. The paid parking situation is horrible, and one of our parking days was taken away just before our trip after we paid for it. The door doesn't have any locks from the inside, so you have to hope that nobody knows the combo to room lock and opens the door while you sleep. The shower is extremely small. There are only slats in the bathroom door and no fan, so there is no privacy while doing your thing in the bathroom. The free parking situation is a complete joke.We left 2 days early and ate the cost, so we could feel safe sleeping somewhere else.

The AC was cold, the kitchenette was nicely appointed with all items you would need for snacking, or heating items up, plenty of towels were also available and had good communication with the property managers. This unit is located in one of the best neighborhoods on O’ahu. Right on the beach, across the street from Kapi’olani Park, and a short drive to some of the best spots on island! We had a remarkable stay! Slept with the lanai door open and could hear the ocean waves, which was amazing. View and the sit out behind the building was very good. Inside the room space was limited. There was no stove or skillet to fix quick meals. To wash utensils need to use the bathroom sink which was very inconvenient and not pleasant/clean. The kitchenette area was very congested. The place was not very clean and many items were cheap like the wine glasses. The dresser was the oldest one could find (antique piece) so we did not even used it. There was a cockroach in the room so tried our best to keep all our bags closed all the time. The air conditioning was very close to the bed blowing air on the face/in the nose. There is no centralized A/C.

There's a reason why the pictures of this small condo is blurry, when my girlfriend and I stepped into the apartment she was not happy, I could see the disgust on her face that she was not impressed by this booking ,the place looked mediocre to say the least #1 The view in the pictures is a reflection off the mirror taking in perfect blur but has a obstructive view with trees and buildings blocking but the pictures make you think that the views are great. #2 The condo has been built out on to the balcony to create more living space but there's about four inches of foot space from the living room to stand on the balcony #4:The shower is smaller than a airplane bathroom you had to take the shower head off to shower because it's so small my girlfriend hit her head to pick up shampoo bottle off the floor #4 The electrical is faulty. I had to use the toaster on the foot of the bed on the floor, my girlfriend hair dryer in bathroom kept switching off because the electrical was not powerful enough so she used it in the living room. #5 check out time is 10:00 AM but at 9:58 AM House keeping came busting in without knocking then announced house keeping! after scaring the crap out of us. I told her you could of knocked first she replied check out is at 10:00 I replied its 9:58! she replied people are usually gone by now then she stepped back out as we were leaving going down hall she said you "feel better now @$$ hole." I was shocked to be spoken like that very unprofessional :-(

So here are the positives:
- extraordinary views from windows and lanai. The pictures understate the views.
- great location, separate from the cacophony of Waikiki but an easy, safe, short walk to everything
- bed was comfortable and bedroom cooled well
- parking arrangement thru prop manager was ideal, make sure and pre arrange parking.
And then the issues: condo building is from the 60s, still nice but tired. condo unit is years past last renovation and shows it. Worn carpet, walls, furniture and in need of an investment. toilet is not super functional. Flushes sometimes with effort. wall AC units work hard to cool den. Blinds closed made the difference but was warm first day.
All in all, we would definitely stay again in this area, and if there was some modest maintenance and updating would love to stay in this unit again.

This condo was all we needed for our stay sans vehicle. It was right in the ocean, view was 270 degrees of ocean, mountains, Diamond Head and more. Lanai is not roomy but enough for 2, and furniture can be updated or cushions replaced but none the less it was coffee out there every morning. Never used the AC as the breeze was lovely. In general the stay was fine, but for an elderly person, the shower was dangerous for me (slippery tub, no grab bars and poor lighting). Most importantly,you have a security issue: mid morning on Aug 31st, somebody opened the door (602) (I had my back towards the door) for a second and closed it. Apparently, someone has a pass key (housekeeping?) no knock. That was not a good experience, needless to say I was not dressed.

We had a great 10-day vacation in Mark's condo near the circle/fountain at Kapilolani Park. It's spacious and clean, and has extras like coolers & beach chairs. The location is ideal if you want to be near Waikiki but not IN Waikiki. Mark was very responsive to my questions/messages, especially when we reported that the air conditioning unit in the bedroom was not working well (they replaced it ASAP and lent us a fan in the meantime). There is currently construction next door, so if you plan to sleep in (like our teenagers do, even in Paradise!), that will be a challenge. Glad we purchased a parking permit for our rental car since it was so, so convenient with our schedule. Very close to Diamond Head.

This rental is in a great location and within 15 minutes walking time to Waikiki beach. The layout is a little weird. You'll need to go through one bedroom to get to the other. The lower rating is due to there not being any curtains in 1 bedroom for 5 of the six nights we stayed. Although we were compensated, the communication between maintenance and property managers could've solved the issue.

This was a lovely location. It exceeded our expectations. Parking was easy enough. We always found parking at nearby park. We could easily walk to the popular beaches and shopping of Waikiki if we wanted, but the patio, grassy areas, and beaches along the boardwalk of this accommodation was quiet and perfect for us. Inside the accommodation was everything you need for an extended visit...boogie boards, snorkel gear, pots, pans, plates, extra towels, etc. Highly recommend!

Spent 4 days on Oahu, and this condo was amazing. Great views of the ocean from the balcony were a great day to start and end each day. Modern interior, with very comfortable bed and great location, as we were in walking distance to Waikiki Beach, and a quick drive to our hike at Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, etc... Would highly recommend this spot. Host was great with communication.

Location was far enough away from Waikiki to avoid the crowds, but close enough to walk. Noise from the road and outdoor concerts was pretty loud. Barefoot Cafe was close and good quick eats.

My five grandkids (18 to 22 yrs) and I stayed in the 3br Penthouse and had a great time.
Waikiki location was great and views from the apartment were stupendous (Waikiki in one direction & Diamondhead & surfers in the other).
The apartment was clean and adequate - not elegant. The third bedroom just had a "hide a bed" which was a disappointment.

This condo was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for us. The pictures do NOT do it justice! It had everything we needed, couldn’t have asked for a better place. The Waikiki strip was only about a 15-20 min walk and was not bad at all. The nearest beach was only a 5 min walk and was perfect, not crowded. They also provide 4 beach chairs! And if you have more than 2 kids they also provide an extra foam mattress. If you’re on the fence, book it!

The balcony was like a little tranquil spot with the right amount of breeze, lovely view and nature sounds morning and night. It was definitely paradise. We were within walking distance of the beach and shopping. I personally enjoyed watching the surfers riding the waves and hearing the waves crash below. One night I even fell asleep for a little bit to the sound.
We decided not to rent a car during our stay which was the perfect choice for my family and me. We bought trolley tickets on day 3 of 6 and enjoyed the guides of the Waikiki Trolley and took trips to some amazing locations.
I 100% would recommend booking a stay here. Mark, our property manager was always quick to respond and very friendly. There were items we could take to the beach and use like snorkeling gear, beach towels, chairs and an umbrella.
The people we encountered at this location were friendly as well. Grounds were well kept and the environment was all outstanding.
When we decide to come back if this location is available it will be my number 1 place to search for.

The location across the street from the park can’t be beat. Away from the hustle and bustle but only a short walk to Waikiki beaches. The condo was comfortable. A bit dated and the kitchen needed some organizing and a wipe down. Bath and bedroom were fine.
