We did not spend much time awake in the unit, why would you when sun sand and surf are a 5 minute walk away? The place was very clean and as described and the beds were comfortable, even the pull out couch. The parking is convenient and the hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful. Also if you want surfing lessons the guy at Duke's Lagoon in the hotel is great and he has a photographer accompany you in the water.

We arrived and the power had been out for sometime. The host was aware and did not inform us. Our first evening we had to go out to eat and my groceries that I ordered all spoiled. The unit is dated and small. Many issues with things being sort of taped together. The ac is a wall unit that they do not want you to run while you’re not in the room. Which is unfortunate to return to a hot room and then it makes the main room very cold and the actual bedroom very warm. Parking at the property is very expensive. This is not what I would consider a kid friendly unit. The tables are all glass and my two small children barely fit on the pull out couch, which is smaller than a futon. Because of the outage at the building there were no other units available in the area for us to rebook. This was very disappointing. The power did return late our first evening.

This room has a fantastic view - worth the extra money. Kitchen was sufficient for our 2 week stay. Pull out couch was not good for sleeping - more comfortable to sleep on the couch without pulling it out. Plenty of space, nice bathroom. Clean, airy feel.

Two couples stayed for 4 nights at this comfortable property at the Ilikai which has many amenities including musical entertainment some evenings and Friday night fireworks - best view from this unit. Beds were comfortable and space was ample in master bedroom for clothes. We did not use sofa bed. Unit is at the end of the corridor on a corner and quiet. Only comment is that all the doors have slats and are not solid so sound carries a bit but would stay in this unit again. Bathrooms are a bit dated but clean and serviceable. This is a great choice for family or 2 couples. Plenty of storage.

I was visiting for my son's volleyball tournament at the convention centre, so this was perfectly situated between that and Waikiki beach was about a 30 min walk. So I was all set! Great communication from the property manager and I loved the view from the large balcony. I will stay here again for sure.

Exactly as advertised. Amenities above expectation. Lots of little unexpected perks. Perfect Location. Free Entertainment Friday and Sunday nights at the hotel [dancing as well]. Ocean View much better than pictures. Spent a lot of time in comfortable chairs on the Lanai enjoying it. Would definitely stay here again.

Great room, felt very clean and had cute decor. Loved the well equipped kitchen. Plenty of clean soft towels! Good water pressure and temperature in the shower! I very much appreciated the door code system with easy checkout. The building itself is great with shops on the main floor. Nice location, from the lanai you have a view of the Ala Moana street below. Would definitely stay again!

Incredible views of the pier and ocean, it was lovely sitting on the balcony at night during sunset and watching all the lit up boats on the water.
Fred was the most enjoyable person I have ever rented from. Incredibly kind and accommodating during our whole trip. We had some flight delays and friends who had cancellations and he graciously worked with us so we all wouldn’t be stranded without a place to keep our things until we could get flights figured out.
The condo had everything we needed and was very clean. Location is also excellent to great restaurant and the beach.
We will 1000% rent from Fred every time we visit Waikiki going forward!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The views of the lagoon and ocean are incredible and the balcony is large with enough seating for our family of 4. A great spot to watch the Hilton’s Friday night fireworks show. Check in was super smooth which was great as we didn’t arrive until 1am. Plenty of dishes/cutlery and access to laundry on the same floor. There are 2 bus stops right outside the hotel which take you to most of the touristy places. In the hotel and across the street is a convenience store that has your necessities an actual store is within a 10 minute walk. Every Friday night from 6-8 there is free music/hula presentation beside the restaurant.
This unit could use a small facelift with a coat of paint. At no fault or the owner there are few plug ins, especially if you need to charge multiple devices. If we were to visit Honolulu again I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

The Ilikai building is in a great location, and this condo is very convenient being on the third floor… With that being said, the unit and furniture are a bit older, and definitely could use some improvement… But it was very clean, and very well stocked

Great place to watch the sunrise and fireworks on Waikiki! Not super well accommodated in terms of beach gear, but a clean nice looking condo that was perfect for the two of us!

Great place to stay, close to target for groceries, beaches are great, restaurants are also great around the Ilikai.
I was disappointed with the playpen we had asked for, it was very smelly, so we had to order one from babyrents!
Everything was there for us, bathrooms could have used a bit of scrubbing.
I would definitely come back to the Ilikai again 😊

The studio was perfect for what we needed. It is walking distance to Waikiki and conveniently located to the places that we wanted to visit. Free parking was the icing on the cake! Jean was the best host. Communication and hospitality were 10+. Thank you Jean for creating a memorable time for us!

Stayed here with family, including kids. There were plenty of basic kitchen essentials and even some toiletries, as well as beach chairs, toys, and snorkel gear. Probably one of the most stocked vrbos I’ve ever stayed in! Prepaid parking was a plus, and convenient location to lots of restaurants and walkable places.

The view and location was perfect, but the condo need some TLC. Definitely was not for 6 people. The sofa bed was not possible to sleep on. Fortunately there was a air matress that save the day.

Condo was in good location, clean and tidy. Excellent view over harbour with a shaded balcony. Very comfortable bed and thankfully for us Brits, a kettle!
As we did, many visitors arrive in the evening, tired after a long flight. A welcome starter pack would be nice so we can leave shopping till morning. An area guide telling us where to shop too. The hotel shop is treble the price of ABC!

Pros: The view was amazing! Bring binoculars! So much to see while enjoying the views.
Cons: no access to the gym in the building, on site restaurant cinnamons was terrible.
Condo could use nicer bed and bedding. Needs a good cleaning mold in primary bathroom shower. A new coat of paint.
The condo was bare bones.
No storage for clothes, 2 nd bedroom for the size too many beds no space to move around.
Be prepared for the in room air conditioners, the air blows directly into your face. Kitchen and primary bathroom cabinets falling apart. Dresser broken.
Good to know:
Make sure to bring your own beach towels. Rent chairs and wagon from Dukes on the 1st floor great guy and lots of advice on where to go what to do.

Honestly, this property is perfect for a busy family. We loved the 2 pools and ammenities onsite. The kitchen had everything we needed. The condo itself is dated. It feels slightly grubby and could use a good spruce for picky guests, however it was as clean as possible when we arrived. No complaints. We were very comfortable in the beds and sofa. The hotel had great entertainment and lovely staff too. We would stay again.

This was our first time visiting Hawaii and we couldn’t be happier with the choice of accomodation. Perfect location, beautiful view, easy walk to beach, spacious unit, comfy beds (including the futon which I slept on), well equipped kitchen.
The Friday night fireworks could partially be seen from the lanai but full view was great from the downstairs courtyard at the Ilikai.
Loved that we were able to walk everywhere including the Ala Moana Mall and the other end of town. We didn’t have access to the gym however we walked to Planet Fitness behind the Ala Moana Mall each day and they offered us a really affordable plan.
Easy to come and go with PIN code rather than key entry. Loved our stay and would definitely chose this property next time we visit Hawaii.

The property it self is a bit dated as is most of Waikiki and ready for a pressure wash and some fresh paint.
All the basics are there. The view and pool is amazing and the adjacent property to the hawaiin village is great as well.
Totally safe day or night 7th floor unit is high enough and there is a lovely penthouse restaurant which serves breakfast lunch and diner.
The ride up the exterior glass elevator is exhillerating to say the least.
The management encourages pictures and to explore the restaurants layout with exquisite wine encased in various glass enclosures.
I nice deep clean with mr clean or something similar would really add to the arrival experience.
Without a doubt, booking 8-10 mins the in advance you’ll get the price u need and a vacation worth going on.
The beech chairs and umbrellas were a nice added touch.

We have stayed in Waikiki numerous times, but never down this way on the beach.
The ilikai is hidden gem of a property that feels secluded from the busyness. The property has two great pools, restaurants and shops - and a short walk to Hilton Hawaiian village brings more options for dining and shopping. The shopping mall is also very walkable.
1417 at the Ilikai was perfect for my family - 2 adults and 2 kids. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The two beds were comfortable as was the sofa bed. We did not find the street to be too noisy - probably because we were so tired after our daytime adventures! The one main closet was big enough for all of our belongings. One thing we felt was missing was some hooks or additional bars to hang towels and wet swim wear in the bathroom.
Laundry facilities were easy to find and use.
We had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again.

The host, Arvis, was very accommodating and awesome to work with. Everything we needed was provided, including lots of beach toys, chairs, etc. Yes, the unit needs a little updating, but the furniture, including the bed, were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. We really didn't spend much time in the unit because the pools on the property are awesome and the beach really close. Didn't rent a car because everything we needed was within walking distance. Very enjoyable experience.

Great location to stay for New Years! The condo views are beautiful. We sat on the balcony and watched fireworks on Friday night (you will need to be by the lagoon/on beach to see the NYE fireworks on main beach; or there are others to right in far distance). The condo was clean and provided the basic needs for our stay. Bedrooms/beds were comfortable. Kitchen is great to cook in. Main pool very nice. Everything in walking distance (and easy to get Uber when needed). We enjoyed our stay - thank you!
