Great location to stay for New Years! The condo views are beautiful. We sat on the balcony and watched fireworks on Friday night (you will need to be by the lagoon/on beach to see the NYE fireworks on main beach; or there are others to right in far distance). The condo was clean and provided the basic needs for our stay. Bedrooms/beds were comfortable. Kitchen is great to cook in. Main pool very nice. Everything in walking distance (and easy to get Uber when needed). We enjoyed our stay - thank you!

The view from this corner unit was beautiful. Even though the parking lot to the harbor is visible you still have a full oceanfront view. The access to the beach is a short walk adjacent to the parking lot. I would call the unit oceanfront not beachfront. The layout of two bedrooms each with a bathroom was great for two couples. We did not do any cooking so I cannot speak to how well appointed the kitchen was. The two balconies were nice, however, the front one needs some attention. The outdoor carpet is very worn and the patio furniture needs some love. Overall, it was a very nice place to spend a few nights while in Waikiki. The one disappointment was that the pool closed at 7pm so we never had a chance to use it

If I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely amazing. Recommend 100% I brought my parents to Hawaii for their 1st time. This is a 2nd home. Had everything we needed for a weeks stay. We cooked breakfast almost every day. Enjoyed both balconies morning and evening.2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms worked perfectly. The dishes were beautiful.We parked in the lot which you pay $1 per hour and it was the best decision.Plenty of towels. Would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

This condo at the Ilikai was even more spectacular in person! Roomy and decorated so nicely with a beautiful kitchen, lovely bathrooms with amazing showers, comfy beds in bedrooms with large flat screen tvs and ample closet space. Very nice living room and dining area, all done in a very modern, upscale look! But the standout of this corner unit on the 12th floor were the breathtaking views of the ocean, marina and lagoon from the two lanais giving you two different amazing views of this beautiful area of paradise! And such an awesome location central to everything in Honolulu! The host was kind and quick to respond, answering every question for us and making the rental process a breeze! Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to anyone we know coming! Staying here was a big reason this trip will be a memory of a lifetime!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We walked to restaurants and water sports - parasailing etc were just minutes away.
Jennie the manager was very communicative and promptly handled our concerns.
The only glitch was that we did not get cold water at faucets due to some HOA issue. Water was lukewarm to hot. We left before it could be addressed. .

One of the best units in the building for sure. Beautiful wrap around views, the unit is impeccably decorated and clean. Comfortable beds and it was quiet as far as noise from neighboring units goes. Not sure if this is year round but we had the best seats in the house to an incredible fireworks show on Friday night that was at the lagoon below. Spectacular. Easy to walk to a lot, great little market on lobby floor with all the essentials.

Two adults and two teens stayed the first week in July.
This unit is on the twelfth floor. It is a corner unit and has excellent views of the ocean, the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon, and the harbor.
The unit has been remodeled but still could use some updates ... interior doors, moldings, etc. The cookware was marginal but useable. There were manual ice cube trays in the freezer.
Plenty of quality beach towels and regular towels.
The pro & con of this unit/complex is that it is in the heart of Waikiki ... so you are close to shopping and activities ... but there is also a lot of noise from the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the beach/park/lagoon.
The second bedroom has two "entrances" ... one is a standard door. The second has a pocket door that closes towards the glass sliding doors to one of the decks ... so it never closes off completely ... so not 100% private.
Jeannie was an excellent host. Access to the unit was quick and easy.

Came to Hawaii for my husbands birthday. The condo and location was perfect. Beautiful condo, with spectacular views. Condo wasn’t to small, it fit all 7 of us, just right. Great location in Waikiki and convenient to shopping at Ala Moana. Condo had a great view of the beach and marina. The Ilikai is celebrating its 60 year anniversary and needs some refreshing. Inside the condo, both beds were well past their prime and Jeanne was aware of one of them and made plans to replace the mattress. She promised to replace both mattresses which would happen after our stay. She was prompt when we asked her for additional clean up of the showers. Jeanne was also most helpful in recommending a nearby pharmacy for us. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.

The images of the property are amazing and what led us to book our stay here however the condo and the view itself were even better than expected in real life. The location of the condo was central to everything. Spacious and extremely clean with all necessities provided. Right from booking, the owner has been wonderful and extremely responsive to all questions as well as providing all information about the condo and surrounding areas. The description and reviews were very accurate. We decided against hiring a car and had an easy 3 day stay enjoying the beaches within walking distance. Ala Moana mall was very close too and the apartment balcony was an excellent spot to see the Friday night fireworks. The Ilikai building itself is iconic and the apartment has been updated.

We had an amazing time at Waikiki beach staying here. The apartment had two well fitted out bedrooms and bathrooms. The lounge and kitchen area were perfect for hanging around between excursions. I've stayed at several hotels and resorts in the area and this was much better! Highly Recommended by this family.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo very much; it’s bright, with amazing views, in a good beachy neighborhood with restaurant/shopping amenities nearby. We’d stay again - but we are only a couple, not a family. It is disappointing - see below — that the management hasn’t paid attention to previous reviews about maintenance problems that shouldn’t be the case for a unit that is billed as a “luxury” condo. It’s not a luxury unit as you would expect; it’s getting worn.
The unit does indeed look like the pictures; it’s bright from the early morning until sunset and the views are spectacular; it’s on the 12th floor of what is probably the best vertical tier of units in the Ilikai. It’s beautifully decorated, and communication with the rental manager was fine and prompt. There are amenities in the unit, but absolutely nothing more than salt, pepper and Pam to cook with - not even a coffee filter. It has the benefit of being a condo with a good amount of space, but accessible to restaurant, shopping and other amenities of the Ilikai Hotel, and the Hilton Hawaiian Village steps away. The beaches nearby are beautiful, but quieter than on the east end of Waikiki, and the high end stores are only a 25-minute stroll away. (You can get Dole Whip!) We loved being away from the craziness of the other end of the beach. Also, great options for sunset or turtle snorkeling catamaran cruises are minutes away.
About the maintenance: The owners are clearly not putting money back into the unit to maintain it. As others noted, all of the outside cushions are worn, stained, and have little comfortable stuffing left, and one of them is torn open. There is no bureau in the second bedroom - not a problem for us, but a family needs not to live out of a suitcase. The primary bedroom mattress is shot; particularly along the sides where you might sit. As someone noted, there are only four wine glasses, unmatching like they came from a flea market.
Again, as a couple, we didn’t need to experience several of these things - other than the decrepit primary mattress, and would stay there again - we had a great week there — but a family considering this unit should ask first about what’s been done to the maintenance, considering the cost of the unit.

This property did not disappoint. It was very clean with modern decor... The 2 lanais were perfect--shade or sun depending on the time of day. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and most importantly to the ocean/beach! Jeannie was prompt and available for any questions. Perfect view of the Friday night fireworks. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

In our experience we would give this a 3.5 star rating ( but this request for ratings, only allows whole numbers ) We did not see this as a “luxury condo “ as described. Our opinion is the unit was nice , but had flaws, which I will explain.
The Good: Very easy check in process, fabulous views, friendly workers at ilika, Close to beach and restaurant, easy in and out valet parking. Good ice cream shop on property.
The Bad: Bathroom tile and vents in shower had mold buildup ( I have photos, but not sure where to post ) the sleeper sofa was broken, which resulted in my granddaughter sleeping on the mattress on the floor ( when I called about this , I was offered a blow up mattress ) How comfortable could that be for 8 nights ? There is no dresser in the second bedroom - you had to live out of your suitcase for your shirts , under garments , bathing suits etc. the doors for the bathroom squeak so loud - waking up everyone when someone had to use the facilities throughout the night .. we needed to get wd40 to fix the squeak after the second night to get a restful night of sleep. The headboard in one room bumped against the wall every time you flipped sides sleeping ( it needs to be tightened to the frame ) The outdoor seat cushions were stained ( I would be embarrassed to have guest at my house , with stained seat cushions ) and there looked to be what once was a place for towels on the door of the bathroom- was no longer available ( meaning , one towel rack , for several towels) The owner could offer small beach accessories ( sand buckets ), since the condo is at the beach , but they don’t . There was not enough trash bags for 6 people for 8 nights and the trash bins down the hallway stayed overflowing.
The Ugly : While waiting for our car from valet- guest parking apologized for the delay and informed us the the vehicle next to ours in the garage had the window busted out . Later that morning an individual ( God rest his soul ) either fell or jumped from a higher floor than what we were on ( not sure what happened) and the body of the deceased and body parts were exposed for several hours ( there was no tent placed to shield this from those walking out on the balcony) . Very sad and disrespectful to the family of the deceased and very disrespectful to every guest walking outside their balcony to witness such a horrible tragedy.
The unit is nice , but the owner needs to take some additional steps to make it a luxury condo .

We thought we would be going to a luxury apartment but that only applied to the view. The roads surrounding the property were very noisy into the night. There were very few cups and wine glasses to use and a very cheap toaster that did not work as it should, only toasting one side of the bread. The second bedroom had no bedside lights and minimal storage. There were plenty of good quality towels. There needed to be an extra lamp in the lounge and balcony lighting would have been nice. We were given a list of rules but not much information regarding larger Supermarkets other than ABC which only had minimal stocks of fresh fruit and vegetables. The Satellite controller in the lounge didn’t work until we swapped the battery, which should of been check before our stay. The hook to hang your robe in the en-suite bathroom was missing. We feel the owner had taken their eye off the ball for this apartment and was charging top dollar for accommodation in a rather tired building. We would not rent again in this complex.

Location and views could not be beat. Unit was very clean and nicely furnished. A/C was working great for when the sun was pouring in. Valet area was always very crowded with cars which made loading and unloading difficult. Ended up using a public garage one block away to avoid the traffic jam at the front door. Communication to rent property was great. We had issues with the TV that property manager never responded to. That was disappointing. Ended up that all of the remotes were dead. Went out and bought batteries and problem solved. Overall, very happy with the unit.

Our group of three adults and three teens enjoyed our week-long stay. The condo was beautiful, views were breathtaking, and balconies were great. The pull out sofa and twin pull out in Livingroom took a bit of time to figure out, but once we got it figured out, it slept three teens just fine. Code to get in door was easy to use, and Jeannie was quick to respond to any and all questions. Only downside was that it was about a 25-30 minute walk to main Waikiki strip but an easy and quick Uber ribe when we got tired of the walk. Cinnamons in lobby was great for our arrival lunch, and kids got açaí bowls, smoothies and coffee every morning from downstairs coffee shop. Lovely stay.

We had a good experience. The property is very nice, although if you rent via VRBO you do not have access to any of the concierge’s services, etc.
The pictures make it look like the ocean is right up under the linai but it is not. The ocean is a good bit away.
The location can be noisy at night with doors/windows open but it also has a great energy, so it’s a trade off.

We had two families with children stay here. The location is fantastic, close to the beach and the lagoon. The way the unit is setup is very convienient for two families with little ones. The rooms are on other sides of the unit so noise “crying” from either room isn’t to distracting.
Views from the unit are amazing. The unit has beach supplies and all the basics that you need to have a successful trip. Overall we plan on staying here again in the future.

We had everything we really needed during this stay. The apartment was easy to locate and check into. The building itself is on the older side, but everything was working smoothly and it was actually really helpful to have the little convenience store right downstairs in the lobby so that we could stock up on snacks and water.
Biggest perks of this apartment was the VIEW(Just stunning with direct view of the sunset every evening!!!) and the livable space - we had 2 couples (4 adults) during this trip and we had enough space to relax on the lanai and in the living room.
Parking was relatively easy with the valet downstairs - we were paying ~$35 per night, which I'd venture to say was reasonable. The valets were very fast and efficient, we never waited more than 10 minutes from our car.

The condo looks just as pictured in the ad! We had my wife and I in one bedroom, my in-laws in the other bedroom, and our 12-yr old son on the fold-out bed, which he said was decently comfortable. The condo itself was perfect, with great views (nice sunset view), and the two separate lanais are great to be able to be outside yet avoid sitting in direct sunlight if it gets too warm. Beach is about a 5 minute walk. We opted for the valet parking - slightly more expensive than some nearby parking ramps, but worth every penny for the convenience, and the valet staff were all superb! Property owner was very helpful and responsive to messages via VRBO app very timely. All in all a great experience!

This property is located in the Ilikai Hotel right on the edge of Waikiki Beach. It is in between the Marina and the Hilton Grand Vacation Complex. It is a lively location with great people watching from the lanai. We had some internet issues when we checked in; Jeannie and Brian responded immediately and fixed the issue. We were very impressed by Brian's diligence as he stayed until 9pm on a Friday. The internet was crucial for us as we were working remotely. The pool is fun and there is direct access to the beach via a short walk. The Ilikai has an ice cream store and convenience store located on the bottom floor along with a cafe and diner. It has an open air lobby which is fun to hang out in. You can walk the entire length of the Waikiki beach starting at the Ilikai. We found that you don't really need a car if you join group tours to explore the island and if you use taxis and uber. There is a good market, "The Food Pantry" just a few blocks away.

The condo was really nicely updated and very comfortable for 2 couples and a baby. The view was fabulous and we used the lanai’s even with the rain. It was super easy to park and check in. However, we didn’t love the area but that’s not the fault of the property. If you want to stay in this area it’s a great spot!

All the reviews I read for this property were very good except for one. That 1 person must have impossible standards because this property was amazing. Magnificent views, great location, and the host couldn't have been nicer. Only sorry I didn't get to meet her personally before we left to thank her.
