Damage & House Rules Policy / Guest Responsibilities.
We inspect every condo at every check out. We again inspect every condo before every Guest Arrival.
We have documentation for each condo to assure the condo is good condition and working order before your arrival.
1) Guest is responsible to pay for any missing/broken/damaged items, extra check out cleaning & for a drain or toilet that requires clearing due to Guest clogging the drain or toilet. Every condo has a plunger for the toilet. If you clog the toilet, please use the plunger provided. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 2) Do not use the Kitchen Sink Garbage disposal for potato peels, fruit rinds, banana peels, pineapples, egg shells, noodles, rice etc. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 3) Sand: Please rinse off all sand (self and gear) before entering the hotel/condo (there are rinsing stations at the beach) to avoid extra cleaning fee and clogging the shower drains. 4) Lanai: Please do not hang towels or other items from the lanai. Please do not feed the birds. 5) No smoking in condo, on lanai or in common areas. Guest charged to have upholstery, drapes and linens cleaned, deodorized. 6) Guest responsible to pay for locksmith if they lock themselves out the of the bathrooms or damage a lock.
CANCELLATIONS:
1) Reservation deposit is non-refundable. 2) Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check in date can have the deposit applied to another stay at the same condo within one year of the original check in date. 3) Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit. 4) Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit and rental balance payment. 5) We strongly encourage you to get travel insurance so a cancellation can be recovered.
Rentals are not transferable to another party.

Nice sunset and ocean view from balcony.
Close to Ala Moana mall (we got groceries at Foodland).
Very close to beach (no huge waves due to coral reefs with little fish and turtles) and can surf too.
Full kitchen with utensils and blender for morning smoothies but would change fry pans.
Parking is expensive but we used uber and Turo.

Unit was nice and has a great view. Location is really convenient. Lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Only real downsides of the property are 1) getting an elevator takes forever and 2) the only option for parking is valet and the valet area is always full with cars waiting in line for quite a while to get through 3) pools aren't great.

Unable to talk with HVR left msg. When emailed prob with AC just excuses. Unresolved. I owned 218434 u for 10 yrs all 5star ratings. I know what good customer service is. Would notrentwith HVR again will post this on social media.. I have stayed multiple times in the Ilikai.

This is a small, well kept, well equipped condo in a historic property in Waikiki. The location could not be better— everything you need is a short walk. The view from the lanai is incredible and I am going to miss it! Easy access to beaches, pools and a fun lagoon with many activities for families.

It’s very nice for the money. We could sit on the deck every morning w/o the sun on us. Bed was super comfy. Would’ve been nice to have extra set of king sheets & pillow cases. There is a laundry on each floor, however, I don’t do laundry on vacation. Many of the restaurants on the property were still closed due to COVID effects (people not going back to work yet). There are a ton of restaurants in a short walk. It is a 5 min walk to the beach, it was very easy.
The only reason I would not stay on this property is you don’t walk out the door onto a sandy beach.

We stayed here for our honeymoon trip in June. It was a great little spot. Everything inside was comfortable there was plenty of things to use in the kitchen the patio furniture was comfortable and the view was of course beautiful. We usually rent houses to keep from having hotel noise but in this apartment style condo we never heard our neighbors through the walls or when they were in the hall. The location is off the beaten path between Waikiki and Ala Moana which was great because we got to walk to both sides and didn’t miss out on anything. Only downside was the previous renters had put all the plates away dirty. (I assume the cleaning crew doesn’t pull all the dishes out of the cabinets) so when we pulled them out there was a film on all of them so we had to wash them.

This is a very lovely property which faces over the marina. The owner has made this a place to be a home away from home for the visitor to Hawaii. There are a number of paintings, artefacts and decorations which maybe reflective of the owner's travels but also I think of those staying here.
The location is very convenient to the Ala Moana Centre in one direction and the Waikiki shops in the other direction. We thought that the keyless entry was a great idea as it allowed us access to the condo independently. It also solved the problem of 'forgetting to take the key'!
We noticed that some of the cushions had a strong perspiration smell but this was the only drawback. This in no way diminished our holiday and was a minor thing.
Thank you to the owners for sharing their condo with us for this holiday.
