I work in Hawaii often and usually stay at the Ilikai because it is at the edge of Waikiki, with easy access to the Honolulu business district, but also easy access to Waikiki.
The Air Conditioner of this unit was not working properly during our stay, making the room unbearably hot in the afternoons and nights. In addition, the ironing board was damaged. I immediately contacted Lei Hawaii Realty. They were extremely responsive and brought a new ironing board the very next day, and sent a repairman to clean the AC unit. Unfortunately, the unit needed to be replaced which didn't happen until the day we checked out.
If the AC unit had not been replaced, I would rate this property a 1. However, with a new AC, I would give it a 5 (based on the cost of the studio and the responsiveness of Lei Hawaii). I will rent from them again.

Very nice and comfortable condo with an amazing view and beautifully updated kitchen & bath. My only negative was that the older tile floor in the living & bed area was very dirty - I'd strongly suggest replacing it to bring it to the kitchen & bath standard. Loved having the kitchen to mix drinks and make breakfasts & dinners. I'd definitely stay here again!

The location of the condo and view from the lanai are great. It could use a good detail clean. The vent in the shower is very dirty and there are dust lines around all the baseboards and outlets. Other than that the space was clean. The A.C unit does not work well and struggles to keep the place cool. We did keep the curtains closed in the afternoons when we were out and that seemed to help. The kitchen was well stocked and definitely nice to have.

There are some positive things about this condo, mainly the location and the views, but there are some updates that need to be done inside. If you struggle with warm to hot weather, this condo is not for you! The AC unit is very old and does not work well. We ended up sleeping each night with the sliding doors wide open because it was cooler that way. The bed is comfortable, but the rest of the furniture is not! The couch in the living room, and furniture on the lanai is very uncomfortable. When you’re in Hawaii, the lanai is where you want to be all the time, but not on that furniture. When you sit on the couch, you can’t lean up against the back of it as it will fall off the couch. The kitchen was good, as well as the bathroom. However, the cleanliness could be better. Found an old Hawaiian roll from previous guests on top of the refrigerator that the cleaner obviously missed. I also have concerns that there might be termites, as I can see residue start to collect on top of one of the bar stools, and on the floor under the bathroom door. There is also a considerable amount of dirt/dust buildup in the fan grate in the shower. The host is very responsive as we only had one bath towel for two people, and she was able to quickly get us more. Overall, this could be a good place if if they made a few changes.

Sand on the tile floor throughout--this happens when you are near a beach, but it feels dirty. Bathroom is dated and showing wear and tear. Main issue was with the A/C--it was NOT working well and we were not able to cool the room to anything lower than about 80 degrees. You're in Hawaii, so I guess not horrible, but there was a light that said the filter needed to be changed. We even tried cleaning it. We did not contact the property manager--we didn't have time. It was just warm at night. We also could tell that based on the instructions to keep the windows shut for the A/C to work, that this has been a problem with other guests. The A/C is not functional for that large of a space--windows open or not, new filter or not.

The space has spectacular views in the perfect location. Walking distance to all the shops and the beaches you could want. Everything you need is available to use in the studio. Everything else can be found on the lobby floor shops and restaurants. You will enjoy your stay.

The most beautiful view! Almost Panoramic ocean view. On a busy street by the harbor so lots to watch as well. Awesome location, easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. The only issue with this condo was it wasn’t as clean as I was expecting it to be. Sand all over the bathroom. Felt good after a thorough sweep. It could use a good wipe down by cleaners tho. Other than that it was great! Has all the basic essentials you would need for a short stay. Would recommend 😊

The views were wonderful. Clean unit and roomy. Served us well. The birds also loved the deck, so there were some droppings that you needed to be aware of. The air conditioning unit was maybe not large enough for the suite size?? We would have liked it cooler, especially at night. We did keep the curtains closed during the day so that helped to keep the afternoon sun out. Thank you for responding to our emails regarding a couple of issues.

The apartment was just as described and pictured, but the apartment has termites under the kitchen counter facing the living area and under the cabinet between the stove and kitchen sink. We kept sweeping the areas but they kept coming back.

My only con would be that the bed is not as comfortable as I had hoped, my husband has metal rods in his back so we may be a bit harder to please.

First let me say my traveling partner is a germaphobe. She brings her sheets, quilts, et cetera. I always worry when we go somewhere together that she will freak. This was not the case. Condo was spotless...cleanest room/condo we have ever been in. Everything we needed was in the room. I slept on the couch/bed and it was quite comfortable. Vrbo responded immediately to any question I had, and the only question I had was I didn't see the e-mail they sent me with the information. Had a view of the harbor and at night it was awesome!! Thanks, Vrbo, for making our vacation so wonderful!!!!

Property was as described, great location/view, easy check in and check out instructions, and clean. Valet parking was easy ($35/day with in and out privilege). We didn't use the kitchen. Bed frame was very squeaky but other than that we loved the unit and would stay there again.

Great place to stay, worked well for us, clean room, comfy bed, small kitchen but worked great for our uses.
Shower was small and the shower head wasn’t a great fit for the shower. The hotel valet has upped their daily price from 23$ to 35$ and we learned the hard way.
Other than that our stay was very nice and relaxing!

Nice room though lacked simple items like salt and pepper, cooking oil, pot holders and kitchen towels. The bed needs repair because it's loud when you get in or out. There is a daybed type couch. The backs slide off. The room is clean and bright. Shoes are "strictly prohibited" so they do provide slippers. Bring your own beach towels as none are provided. Room service and concierge are not available for use in this room. Information for restaurants, grocery store, buses, etc., is not available. Microwave door was not working so they did bring a tabletop unit.

This unit is in a great location and has a lovely view of the marina and ocean. Surprisingly very quiet at night. Our only disappointment was that there was no hand soap or small guest toiletries provided, and the guest instructions did not say we needed to bring our own. This may have been a cleaning oversight but we had to go out late at night to buy a bar of soap, which was inconvenient after a long day of travel. Otherwise it was a comfortable, nice stay.

We love the Ilikai. We have rented three different condos. This last unit was lacking. You got the feeling of “cheap” in this unit. Every little detail, lightbulbs were not matching in lamps, one tiny dish soap, two tiny shampoos for a 10 day stay for 2, 4 coffee pouches...you get the idea. No grocery cart, beach items, bags for shopping, no clock, no fan, no dishwasher. We have been in units that had huge shampoo and conditioners, sun block, beach chairs, styrofoam surf boards, toys for kids, etc. this unit was lacking. 2 coffee cups, 3 bowls, a tiny coffee pot that a guest bought. Bed was comfy but the couch is about useless and that is all there is to sit on. Back falls off if you lean on it. Location is great. Views are great.

Me and my wife were there for our honeymoon, and the place was awesome. The view from the balcony is panoramic and beautiful. This place is right in middle of this island and you can reach anywhere on the island, from this place, within 30-45 minutes. Walking distance from downtown. Overall very nice place to stay. We will definitely come back and stay here again anytime we are coming to Oahu. Thanks for hosting us.

Overall was a decent experience. It was not the cleanest when we arrived, and they did not provide enough amenities (shampoo, body wash, etc.) We needed to go and buy extra. While the price per night was cheaper than booking at the Ilikai Hotel directly, after all of the fees, it ended up being more expensive.

The place is exactly as advertised - small, clean, and has a spectacular view of the Marina from sunrise to sunset (sun hits the balcony in the afternoon FYI). You enter/exit through the Ilikai Hotel, which has some shops & cafes inside - I highly recommend Cinnamon's if you're looking for something quick in the morning. You can try and mess around with street parking if you have a car, but the $28 per day valet service is definitely worth it - they are very easy to deal with and super fast. The management group is very responsive and will send you multiple emails with instructions & direction leading up to your stay.
For the price & location, I would 10/10 recommend staying here!

Loved the location, the room was perfect for the two of us, bed was really comfortable.
I didn’t like the stove every time I would get into the cupboard I’d turn on the burner but other than that I loved my stay.😉
