We booked this room as it was described as a luxury but it was far from it due to the problems experienced.The whole building and rooms are old. Built in the 1960s, the hotel shows its age. The escalators from the front of the hotel to the lobby were broken our entire stay. There were large parts of the lobby roped off for repairs to the ceiling and I saw that the water was to be turned off for many hours on our last day. There had also been floods in the lobby.Room-The bathroom was dirty. The glass shower doors were so caked in dirt and debris they looked frosted. The room is truly not clean. When you look closer there is dirt on the walls and into the corners of the room. It absolutely needs a deep cleaning and my suggestion is to use different cleaners. The air conditioner started to die and making a constant shrieking noise. It started at 5 am our first night and kept it up our entire stay. We contacted the management and they were very responsive which was nice. They sent a cleaning duo who did not make any difference. They also sent an AC repair person who determined a new motor was needed but unfortunately the parts were not available. We were given what was called “one night” refund however it only equaled 1/6 of our bill. The bed was very old and soft & should be replaced and the toilet runs constantly unless the handle is lifted. The balcony & furniture were old & dirty. The view & location were nice and we appreciated the support from mngt. Can’t recommend..

This vacation was everything I was dreaming about and more. The accommodations were great, clean, spacious and a wonderful view. We took many guided tours while there and our pickup spots for the tours were usually within a half a block. The island is beautiful, make sure you explore more than jus5 Waikiki area. I will definitely stay at this condo again when I return to Hawaii.

We stayed at a great unit at the Illikai. 15 floor ocean side. It had all the necessities, was quiet, and close to everything in Waikiki. The check in and check out were simple. One issue was the expensive parking. The hotel has ‘valet parking’ which limits your ability to travel freely around the island. Otherwise it was a great stay. We will be back!

Loved the location, pools and room. One suggestion, we were there 21 days and sand gets tracked in regardless of what we did. I swept the whole floor 2 times with the small whisk broom that was there - I would suggest a full size broom which would help an old person with old knees. Thanks

After 14 years of marriage we finally got to the honeymoon! And this unit was paradise! The view was so peaceful (those sunsets!!) and close to our favorite beach. It was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Definitely would stay again!

Stayed here for 8 nightso. It was my first visit to Hawaii and my expectations were well met. It was super clean, well maintained (10 out of 10)had a few extras such as Saran Wrap and coffee filters and plenty of linen if needed. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

The location was wonderful next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the view from the condo was beautiful and exactly as shown in the picture. It was lovely overlooking the marina and the ocean and watching the sunset every evening!! Unfortunately there were MANY problems with the Ilikai building complex that were NOT good and some issues with the condo we were concerned with.BUILDING issues were:1) Many electrical and air conditioning problems on the main floor so the restaurant was closed the entire 10 days, and other stores had shortened hours for most of the days. 2) The escalators to enter and exit the lobby worked the first few days we were there, but were broken for the last week we were there. 3) Our last full day ALL the elevators were out of service except the one express elevator to the Pesca restaurant!! We were on the 15th floor so that involved walking 15 floors up and down every time we left, including carrying luggage!!!!! This went on for more than 36 hours and was still an issue when we left. Several guests we spoke with were requesting partial refunds for the enormous inconvenience!!CONDO issues were:1) The condo was clean, but there were multiple large round yellow stains on the sheets. 2) The closet door was constantly coming off the track and sticking literally every time we moved it. 3) The toilet frequently would run and we had to take off the lid to get it to stop. 4) The day we checked in we had problems with the door not staying locked, but it worked fine after that.

We were overall happy with the property. We found there was not enough clothes storage as there were no dressers. Had to go buy hangers before we could hang our clothes. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Adequate electrical plugs to enable charging. Kitchen was minimally stocked but adequate. The hotel grounds were lovely.

Great unit with FABULOUS view: you will definitely see sunsets all year long from this unit. It was very clean and the a/c works well. Plenty of towels and kitchen stocked well enough to cook simple meals in. Plenty of space and closets to store things for long term use. VERY responsive management when a minor issue arose. Please note: you do NOT need coins for laundry but you do need to bring or buy detergent and have (multiple) cards to pay for washer/dryer which can be fussy with taking payment. They are easily accessed less than 20 feet from the unit and seem efficient enough: a large load washed well and dried on low heat on a 50 minutes cycle.

We loved the pictures when we booked but once we got to our room it was so much more. The view of the ocean and the yacht harbor was so relaxing. The beds and couch, chair was very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom had just what we needed. Having a laundry room just steps away was an added bonus. The restaurant, Dave’s Ice Cream, and coffee shop as well as market made our home away from home perfect. Thank you!

Nice stay however, the room was musty and we feel it was from the AC. We bought some spray to drown out the musty odor. The cleanliness was average. It could use a deep cleaning every once in a while. We stayed in another condo in this building in april and it nicer.

Pillow and beddings had someone else's body odor. Used towels to cover the pillows and I sleep with two pillows.
Had TV remote issues. Could not turn tv off or control it. This is minor compared to the odor issue.

Great location. Nice room. Kitchenette was fine. Kitchen amenities were very poor. Expect to buy everything. No salt no pepper no nothing. The shelves will be bare. The knives were all serated and dead dull. The plates and cutlerly were mismatched. Blender did not work. Toaster was old. Mostly what annoyed us was there were no tea towels or dish cloths because we like to keep a clean room.. Lots of nice toilet paper and paper towels so we give them credit for that.. Had more to say but we apparently ran out of room. All in all still a great place to stay. You will just have to adapt.

The property was clean and had a stunning view. Right below the railing is a birds eye view of the back of the hotel where they put on entertainment. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and the bathroom was nice and spacious. There was also the much needed air conditioning that helped out immensely. 10/10 would stay here again.

The view, location, and building were great. Proximity to the beach, local restaurants and the balcony view were perfect. The bedding needs updating. There were two pillows, that were flat and lumpy and seemed like they were ten years old. The pillow cases were pilled and dingy. The comforter on the bed was old and dingy. Two other blankets were available, one was in a bag and was stained. Extra sheets and another blanket were on the floor in the closet, not sure if they were clean. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. We contacted management, rued their troubleshooting advice with out success.

Everything was good except the bed. Two cheap, flat pillows, the sheets were scratchy, and the mattress felt old. We were rolling into the low areas made by years of use. It made for difficult sleeping. Everything else in the room was in good condition.

Our stay was absolutely lovely the room was exceptionally clean and beautifully Remodeled. We enjoyed the spectacular view. The service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this condo. Just a few suggestions for the owners to maybe help others. There was only one end table on one side of the bed it would be nice to have two And tables to accommodate each person. There was not a dresser or a luggage rack to accommodate for luggage. You would have to put your luggage on the floor I would feel sorry for old people that have to continually bend over to get their Belongings from their luggage. I would think that most people renting a condo do so to be able to cook and enjoy dining in there was not a dining table or an outside lanai table to accommodate us. The lanai furniture was not comfortable and I would say definitely needs updating. You have such a lovely condo I think if you added these additions you would be number one condo. Thank you for such a lovely stay I would highly recommend your condo

The condo was clean and in a great location. Easy to get to the lagoon near the Hilton Hawaiian Village and walkable to lots of other places. The balcony has a great view which can be enjoyed inside the unit, too (I'm afraid of heights). The bed was comfortable and there was closet space but no drawers. The internet was hit or miss and a lot of the times it was very slow. That was the only thing to improve. Overall, we had a great stay.

So much light in this place, and a lovely view of the ocean and marina from the lanai! There is also a thoughtfully heavy curtain that you can draw if you need to sleep in. Check-in was a breeze, and the place was well-stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We didn't cook anything in the kitchen, but we were grateful for the fridge (which was stocked with ice!) and microwave, which we used on leftovers from the nearby restaurants. The place was clean; the hotel is perhaps a little dated, but in a charming way. The hotel employees we encountered were warm and welcoming - even though technically we weren't hotel guests - and the property is in easy walking distance of the beach, Ala Moana Center (check out their food court for fast and delicious food) and several restaurants. We also tried La Pesca, the restaurant at the top of the Ilikai and the staff were considerate, helpful, and the food was delicious. I do recommend getting reservations in advance, to keep things easy and stress-free. Really enjoyed, and would definitely rent from these property owners/managers again.

Location was amazing with plenty to do, restaurants, stores, shopping malls etc. Valet parking only quite expensive but for us was worth it and convenient. Did not want to spend the extra time and walking distance to free parking by the marina. Front door needs replacement for extra added security but Overall great Condo. Mahalo!

Walked inside the room the first day and it was AMAZING!! The View really was beautiful and you knew you were on an Island and in Hawaii.
Went to bed with an amazing view and woke up the next day with even more of a amazing view.
Wished that they would offer a Rollaway bed or a Sleeper Couch. I was visiting my Son that was Military and it would have been nice to have him able to sleep over a few nights..

Great place to stay if you want a central location to the area. Parking is expensive if you stay here. Pretty much valet parking only ($25). The room was great. Plenty of utensils and dinnerware to cook with. No extras. Buy everything you need including Salt and Pepper. Bed was nice. Couch is nice but never sat down to watch tv. Elevators are slow.. if there is a line.. take the freight elevator. Enjoy.
