The pictures don’t really show how nice the unit is! Everything is updated and nice! The kitchen has everything you would need- appliances, rice cooker, knives.. etc The location is great, the building has been upgraded and the pool/ bbq area is clean and new and pretty. We had a good stay here for 10 days. Plenty of room and there were extra trash bags and bathroom essentials available. The bath tub is a bit outdated and the beds are old and quite uncomfortably. Overall the stay was good, besides the bed and tub I would given it a 9.5. There were enough dishes and utensils in the kitchen for a family of 4. Appreciate the beach chairs and towels. Price was great.

We’ve stayed at several Midway Vacation properties, and most have been great. This one was just okay. The biggest downside was the extremely dim lighting in the kitchen and living room. The staff was responsive and tried to fix it, but unfortunately there wasn’t much they could do. If good lighting is important to you, that’s something to be aware of. Otherwise, the place had plenty of beds and worked okay for our family’s stay. The sauna and pool were great.

Great location and only a five minute walk to the beach. Parking was free, and there were always available spots in the garage. We had four people in our reservation, and the fold out couch was a little uncomfortable. However, for two people, this would be a great place to stay. The window unit AC also kept the rental nice and cool during our stay. Would stay here again. We had a wonderful time there!

This was my second time staying in this unit, and it was just as nice as I remembered. The first time was in April 2022 when I celebrated my 50th birthday with friends while running the Hapalua Half Marathon. When my family decided to vacation in Hawaii to celebrate our son's high school graduation, I immediately told my husband that we had to stay at the Banyan.The location is hard to beat! It includes parking, which is a huge bonus in Waikiki, and it's less than a 5-minute walk to Waikiki Beach and Kalākaua Avenue. There's also a Catholic church just 0.2 miles away. We were able to walk to the Honolulu Zoo ( 15 minute walk), and we only needed our rental car for trips to places like the Byodo-In Temple and the Dole Plantation.The full kitchen was another great feature. I was on vacation, so I didn't want to spend time cooking, but it was perfect for storing drinks, snacks, and reheating leftovers from the many great restaurants nearby. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also incredibly convenient during our 7-day stay.The pool was open but we did not use the pool. The elevators can be slow or fill up so we parked on level 5 and just had to walk up and down one flight of stairs to get to our car. The mini store & the coffee shop are so convenient.This condo is comfortable, clean, and in an ideal location for enjoying everything Waikiki has to offer. We already miss Hawaii and are looking forward to staying here again. Thank you for another fantastic stay!

Was looking for somehwere to stay for 1 week and came across this place on VRBO. Told my kids that the view is city and mountains instead of ocean and we all agreed to stay there and try it out. First off love the lobby upon entering then as entering the parking got a little confusing but after a day got used to where exactly to park. Going into the room was just stunning and amazing. Super clean and beautiful plus we were really comfortable too. I had my own bed my son had his own and daughter too which she slept on the pull out couch bed and she loved it. AC was super cold too and we all just loved it. The kitchen was perfect with things we needed to cook and keep our things cold. The beach equipments was great when we used it. Beach was walking distance not even 10 minutes down the road which we loved because the kids got to ride some waves also there was restaurants and food trucks near by so of course we were able to get food and drinks too. ABC store was near by which was pretty cool cus I haven’t been to one in a while. But all in all I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will return for sure to stay here again.

However, having the bar directly below us playing loud music until 2 am every night was not enjoyable. The host did provide ear plugs because of that, which I did use.

We loved our stay at the apartment. Check in was smooth with a door code. Everything was clean and the apartment was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you’d need and the bathroom had plenty of towels, shower gel etc which we really appreciated. There were also coolers, beach chairs and boogie boards. The bed was very very comfortable and we found the apartment peaceful and we were not disturbed by city noise. We would love to stay again.

The location is great and a short walk to the beach. The unit includes so many things to make our stay great, including beach chairs, snorkeling gear, full kitchen and utensils. We were really surprised at the little things. The condo is a corner unit so you don't share a wall with other units and therefore it was very quiet. The laundry room was 5 feet away. The garbage chute was 5 feet away. For a family of 4 we found it very spacious. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The parking pass was a definite plus! Jeff is an amazing host and made the whole process from checking in to checking out very easy.

The pictures do NOT look like the condo. It’s dated, paint peeling, bedroom doors broken, patio door won’t open properly and there was no spatula. Plus the the kitchen island has exposed sharp staples or small nails.

My stay was wonderful. We were so close to just about everything. The pool was nice. The beach was walking distance. I love the unit. The views were awesome from our terrace. There were ample towels and washcloths. And the beach chairs came in handy. The unit was cleaned and stacked with cooking utensils. The laundry room was conveniently down the hall. A bit pricey but hey!! My only downside was that the sliding doors to the room didnt close all the way which limited our privacy. However, my overall experience was excellent.

Perfect location for our stay in Waikiki! You don’t need a car at all - everything is walkable or a quick Uber away, and the beach right across the street was ideal. The rooftop gave us a front-row view of the 4th of July fireworks, which was such a treat. Check-in was smooth and the host was quick to respond to any questions. One small suggestion: adding a mirror near the TV/closet cabinet area would help a lot, since the bathroom mirror being the only one made it a bit tight when getting ready or sharing the space with my husband. Otherwise, we loved every part of our stay and will absolutely book here again!

This place worked well for us, as it is within walking-distance to the beach and many restaurants and shops. It has a free parking space, which is a valuable amenity when you have rented a car. Also, having the beach chairs and umbrellas was great!The view is on the mauka side (mountains) and is really beautiful. It's fun to watch the paddlers on the Ala Wai Canal and the rain in the valleys.

Great location in relation to the beach! Loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops along Waikiki Beach. As stated in the posting, located above a bar, so loud music and rowdy crowd outside until late into the night (we didn’t have an issue but lighter sleepers may be kept up). Well-stocked kitchenette with full-sized fridge, two-plate cooktop, pot, skillets, and utensils. Overall pretty clean other than a bit of hair around the apartment. Shower rarely got warm, water pressure wasn’t great, and drained very slowly such that you were often standing in a couple inches of water. Apartment had beach towels and bath towels, outdoor chairs (what I would consider camping chairs, not beach chairs), one boogie board, a beach mat, a beach umbrella, and a small clip on umbrella for a chair. Also, not about the condo, but the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful!Tl/dr: the location relative to the beach and having a guaranteed place to park (paid) was very worth the price we paid for this location!

The property location was great two blocks from the beach. The only issue we had was the sofa bed. It was me and my two sons and we had to call a couple times to try to get the bed to close. It would keep getting stuck on something and we could sit on the sofa our recommendation would be to upgrade the sofa bed to prevent this issue for future travelers.

This trip was a challenge. The listing was selected based on upon the VRBO search feature having a hot tub and pool listed. We weren’t expecting anything fancy but certainly were expecting the pool and hot tub as listed. About a week before our trip we reviewed the listing and saw that the pool deck was closed for renovations. This is not what we remembered from when we booked it about 4 months in advance. The host used a property manager that did reimburse us a small amount for the pool area not being available to us. When we arrived there were rotten potatoes leaking through the cabinets all over the floor. There were swarms of fruit flies in the condo for our entire stay from the rotten potatoes. I told the property manager via vrbo messages and never heard back about it. All in the property was ok. It served its purpose for a place to sleep close to the beach with parking included but the lack of communication and the fact that we booked based on amenities not available at the time of stay and had a very minimal (I think just over 100?) compensation was really disappointing. The coffee shop and bodega downstairs was nice for early mornings and last minute late night purchases. I would stay in this building again but this exact property would be a no.

Overall, it was worth to stay. The room was large enough and had almost everything what we needed. The resort has a swimming pool and barbecue area but some information has not updated yet. The rate for using BBQ area is 5/hr, not 2/hr. And there's a laundry room while the machine only accepts credit cards not coins. For three persons staying 13 nights, they only provided one toilet paper, it's obviously not enough. However, we are willing to stay here again next time.

The condo at Waikiki Banyan was more than expected!! The views and the central location was superb. The convenience of having a kitchen was worth it. Didn’t have the expense of dining out every meal. Also the convenience of free parking was well worth it also. I highly recommend this property against any hotel. Clean and well maintained. It was our first time in Hawaii and it was a wonderful time. One of the main reasons was staying at the Waikiki Banyan. The location was excellent, so close to everything and so reasonably priced. The condominium had some additional items we did not expect, like beach chairs, umbrellas, even underwater snorkeling equipment. They were a pleasant surprise and parking was a great plus! This was a great place to stay. It had everything you could need, plus a beautiful view of the ocean. Laundry was literally next door, but you could not hear the machines in the room while they were running, which was a huge bonus.Elevators were quick, building was clean overall, and the use of the parking garage being included with the rental was huge.Location was also great. Waikiki was easily walkable, with tons of restaurants and stores within walking distance as well. There's a small convenience store on site, and a small coffee shop.Overall I'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone that is looking for a clean, comfortable and quiet spot to stay.
