We experienced several issues during our stay at the condominium. The front door would not lock properly unless it was pushed tightly closed, and the keypad was not functioning when we arrived, requiring us to call for the default code. (The host was very quick to get this resolved which was appreciated)The bathroom door also did not close completely because the rear roller is off the rail. The beds need replaced they were both very small for 2 adults and were very uncomfortable. One of our biggest concerns was that the pool has reportedly been closed for a year, yet this was not disclosed anywhere prior to booking nor after. We found this out while we were on our flight to Hawaii. Had we known this in advance, we would not have chosen to stay here, this was very disappointing.The shower drain also emptied very slowly. We were informed that suv vehicles would fit in the garage area, but our rental vehicle did not fit. The response we received was simply to find overnight parking elsewhere, which in most nearby locations costs approximately 35 per night.That said, the building’s management company was very accommodating and allowed us to park our rental vehicle on the main floor area normally reserved for owners, which we greatly appreciated.

Communication with Cathy was great from the start! She was very clear with instructions and easily reached throughout the entire process. The property was very clean with a great view of the mountains. By opening the windows in the kitchen ad bedroom, we were able to get a nice cross breeze going and didn't need to use the AC at all!We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of amenities Cathy had prepared (especially the cabinet with sunburn relief spray and extra sunscreen). From coolers with frozen ice packs to beach chairs and snorkel gear, the property had everything we needed to ensure our time in Hawaii was memorable. Everything was neatly labeled and well organized.The location was perfect. Just far enough away from the main street to avoid crowds, but close enough to walk to all the restaurants and beaches nearby. Parking our rental car in the garage was easy, and the security guards are very friendly. (You can park all the way on the left side and take the tower 2 elevators from the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floors instead of walking the lobby)We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for my family and I! Kitchen was the main thing because I have a severely food allergy kid so I was able to make his food the whole stay. Room was clean and spacious and garage parking with security! Easy access to stores and highway! It was a 10/10 for my family of 3 adults and a 11 yr old.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The room met our needs very well. Do have to wonder why there is two microwaves in the room? The one on the counter uses up all the counter space. The central location to all of our needs and the views of the beach and diamond head were great. The night club really wasn’t that much of noise problem but the traffic on the street was, still slept very well. Would come back again

Awesome stay - rented through Captain Cook rental agency, and they helped us move to another, more spacious unit in Fairway Villa after communicating that power was undergoing maintenance due to recent storms. Unit had a great central location, was clean, and had great amenities (kitchen, beach supplies, laundry, etc). Management was professional/ check in and out was smooth. Parking being included was a huge plus. Only feedback is we noticed the air vents were dusty/due for a cleaning. Overall fantastic stay though, would return and recommend!

The furniture was extremely dirty, the drains in the bathroom sink and bathtub wouldn’t drain properly, the entire apartment smells like mildew. The host had horrible customer relations. There were photos of the pool/spa advertised as well as being listed in the amenities, however they were closed for our visit. While it does state in a small section hidden in the property description there is a closure, I feel it is false advertisement to have it listed in the amenities and photos. When trying to address the missed information with the host, as well as our dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the property, I was met with snarky and unhelpful responses from Steven. He managed to take down the photos after I pointed out that it was misleading, but never offered any sort of accommodation to remedy things.

The rental had a full kitchen, great shower in the bathroom,and a nice view of the Waikiki beach.Check in and check out was easy and seamless.The only downside to the area was loud music at night coming from the bars in fancy hotels across the street.We did remedy that by closing all the windows at night while we slept.

I can’t describe the amazing views and perfect location if this place! Parking is covered as part of the room, it’s in a perfect spot for some lovely restaurants and beach fun. We did have to search for the check out instructions which we found in a drawer by the dining area. It was very easy though! The trash chute is right outside the room but is behind another door labeled “trash”. Sounds easy but my silly husband was looking for a chute out in the open on one of the walls.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Banyan VRBO. The location was perfect; close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We were happy that the unit came with parking as this was important to us. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony with the partial ocean view. Only downside was the bathtub/shower. It was very high to get into/out of and the grab bars were on the wrong side of the shower to use (next to the toilet). The towel bar next to the tub was broken/missing but this was actually probably good since it would have been in the way of getting into the shower.

Parking garage included, nothing super tall in garage but jeep wranglers, rav4, etc type vehicles fit with ease. Great place on the edge of Waikiki! I was visiting for work & loved having a large space to be in. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook & more. This place just wasn’t for us. The location was close to the beach, but that was the only thing that I would give this a 10. In my opinion, this place is best for three maybe four nights or less. We were here for nine nights, and that was a lot for this place. We really needed a kitchen with better amenities. There was no dishwasher or disposal, which makes it hard to cook meals. Leftover food scraped into a garbage brings bugs. The refrigerator was too small. The parking is very expensive and for nine nights you need a car. I can’t imagine just staying in Waikiki that whole time. Public transportation while carrying beach chairs and towels to explore other beaches is just not possible. The check-in was very slow and there was only one person ahead of me. There was soap left over in the shower from the previous guest, which starts off the trip on a sour note. The cleaning service was prompt and corrected the situation, but you can’t un-see old soap with hair on it. I’ve stayed at many VRBO properties and I definitely would not to return. The view from this unit is not great, but if you go to the 10th floor, you can visit the sun deck which has a fantastic view. Too much noise when you open the window so using the AC was a must.

We loved our stay at the banyan! The condo has everything that you need for cooking and also some beach chairs, and cooler for outings. The separate room with sliding door was great for privacy. Maybe could upgrade that door if I’m nitpicking. This is located nicely in Waikīkī where walking or moped is a must. Great places to eat just a block away, as well as the beach just a block away! The pool / spa area was closed, I would have loved a soak in the spa after hiking but it looks like the remodel should look great soon. The condo has great view of the beach and the city. It was very clean and with great decor. The beach chairs, umbrella and cooler were in great condition and were super helpful whenever we headed to the beach, which is literally only a 5 min walk. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and fridge had plenty of space. The elevators were fast and we never had to wait more than 1-2 min for it. Parking was easy. We had a smaller SUV (Highlander) and it was great, a bit tight to park but good. Anything bigger than that, like a Tahoe, Expedition or Yukon, it would definitely be super tight if not impossible to park. Lifted SUV or lifted truck would probably not fit in the parking garage. The pool and the recreation area of the condo was under renovation, so we didn’t get to experience. We were a little bummed out since we didn’t get to be in the beach too much due to the second wave of the Kona Storm hitting the island. I wish that the dates of the pool renovation was disclosed somewhere on the listing. Nonetheless, we had a great time. Lots of restaurants and fast food places nearby. Linens provided were great, the shampoo, body wash and conditioners were also great and smelled so good! We will definitely consider coming back here in our next Oahu trip.

It was a good experience. The owner was very responsive. I had a problem with the refrigerator acting up. It turned out the fan was dealing with ice. I contacted the owner and got a quick servicing which fixed the problem. Including parking was very helpful
