It is hard to beat this location. The building is right on the beach and steps from the water. There is a coffee and smoothies shop downstairs. There is a Starbucks next door. The building elevators have security. You must use key fob to use elevators. All around feels very safe. The check in process is super easy. There is a front desk just like at a hotel. The building is called Waikiki Shore. Very walkable all around this area. The Monkeypod restaurant next door is very good. The unit was clean, beautiful, and with a million dollar view! I would absolutely stay here again.

The location of this property is outstanding. While it does not directly face the beach, it is very visible. The amenities are top notch and communication with the property management was excellent. For being in downtown Waikiki, the location couldn’t be better. Having a parking spot is amazing. Having to figure out how to get your keys on the parking pass is difficult. we were lucky enough to show up during the week and before 5 o’clock, so I have to catch somebody at the business office. She did not speak English well so it was difficult to communicate, but she was able to get me the keys. I never did get the lockbox code, nor the code to the door at the condo in my email. I went back and double checked all my emails and my junk mail. It is not there. It would benefit everyone if the owner could figure out a way to skip that step. I saw other lockboxes on the fence at the condo which would be a better option, but what do I know. The toilet wasn’t working when we got there, but I quickly fix that, and some of the lights didn’t work well which weren’t an issue for us. I did request a one hour late checkout and was denied without paying extra. Given the check-in process and the fact that I had to fix the toilet, I was a little surprised by that. If you say it goes well without needing to communicate, it is a great place, I would be worried for someone who had to reach out because the response time is not very fast. The bed in the kitchen were in good order, there were towels and hand towels, but no wash clothes.

The condo is beach front and steps to the sand. It’s in the heart of Waikiki and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The property manager handled our requests promptly, checking in and out was easy. The condo is beautifully appointed, the air conditioning works well, there are two spacious bathrooms and there is easy access to the Outrigger next door. ( pool only / gym not included). The downside of the condo is it is one story above a busy restaurant called The Steak Shack. At lunchtime and dinner there is a line of 20-30 people directly below you looking up at you. The aromas from the restaurant make it difficult to sit on the lanai and enjoy it. While we were there the building crew was using a jackhammer which made it impossible to sit anywhere in the condo M to Fri during the day. I’m sure this was a “one off” however, I think we will return to a sure thing like the Moana Surfrider or the Halekulani in the future ( same price but better ambience).

Had a great week in Honolulu. Communication with the owner was excellent. View was great. Not a good swimming beach due to rocks in the water. Having two bathrooms was a treat. All worked well except blinds and owner is replacing them soon. Location was great. Check in at the Regency was easy. Leaving was a bit more confusing. Very popular beach and steak shack below the balcony. AC was great and needed. Construction below the last two days drove us out. Kitchen is completely equipped, altho having ice pre-made in the freezer would have been nice.

As the title says, the location of this property was absolutely perfect! Step out of the condo building and you are right on the beach and walking distance from most everything you would want to do in Waikiki!. The condo was clean and having a full kitchen made it easy to prep/warm many of our meals. The washer and dryer was also a nice to have amenity so we didn't need to pack as much as we normally would for a week. Also, having electronic keys to get in and out of the property made it feel safe and secure and having a parking spot right next to the elevator was a major plus! All in all, the wife and I had a fantastic stay and we do plan on renting this unit again in the near future - next time it will be 2-weeks vs 1! We loved it, thank you!

Decent place! Typically we stay at the outrigger, but wanted to try renting a condo. Condo has been updated, but still could use a bit more. Bed was comfortable, TV and AC worked fine. Location: •You’re next door to the Hawaii Army Museum, so you’re overlooking a park, not another hotel. •Number 20 and 42 buses stop half a block away on Kalia Road. 3 per person, no change given. The 20 stops at airport terminals and both run to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Taxi/uber to either is 45 and up. Use your GPS and pick public transportation to find the next bus. Be careful to get on one that doesn’t require you to transfer – ask the driver if you’re unsure. Go to thebus website for schedules and trip planner.•Cut through the lobby of the Outrigger Hotel next door (Martin will show you when he’s showing you the apartment) and you’ll find a Starbucks. Diagonally across the street to your right as you leave that hotel is a 24/7 Denny’s (in case you have jet lag and everything else is closed). Next to that is a large ABC store – best place to buy souvenirs, but also has a small grocery, including good ready to nuke/eat food. Keep going up Lewers Street for one long block, turn left onto Kalakaua Ave and there’s a 24/7 Longs Drug/CVS. These streets are well traveled and lit at night. Lots of restaurants at multiple price points.Accommodations:•Not only is there a washer/dryer, Tide pods are provided. Same for the small dishwasher. There are filters for the Mr. Coffee-style coffee maker. There’s also a cooler and ice packs to take to the beach. Lots of wooden, not wire, hangers. The mattress is good - yay! First of all, Terry, the owner, is a fantastic host. She communicated clearly with me every step of the way. Top notch guest service! The unit is a nice size and was very clean. The lanai has a nice partial view is the beach and sea and is very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and a plethora of clean towels and linens were available. Property just as shown in pictures with great location. The Lanai was great to sit on and people watch. Close access to Diamond Head & Pearl Harbor. Only one minor issue which was resolved in a timely manner, Terry very communicative. Well equipped with beach chairs, umbrella etc. Didn’t have time to cook since we were on the go, but lots of food choices in the vicinity.

Overall, I give Waikīkī Shores four stars. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable, the views from the lanai were great, Waikīkī Beach was a short walk away, and access to public transportation was close by. My only complaint is that there were no items like salt and pepper, cooking oil, spices, etc. we had to buy all those things. Most VRBOs I’ve been to leave items like that for the next renters. We weren’t impressed by the owner of the condo we reserved. When we arrived, we were told that the owners must have needed their place because it was no longer available! Unbelievable! We never heard anything from the host - no explanation, no apology. Thankfully, Waikīkī Shores found a different (better view!) condo for us and didn’t charge us for the difference in price. We definitely recommend Waikīkī Shores and will be back.

Suite condo is in an older building right on Waikiki beach. Interior and furniture are a little dated, and support only two guests max. But the views from the balcony make up for it! Sunset views over Waikiki beach and the Pacific Ocean, and perfect place to watch the Friday evening fireworks. Note that this condo is on the 11th floor. Easy walk to lots of shops and restaurants. Parking is a challenge in the area. Recommend you rent the parking pass for the adjacent lot from the host.

Pros: We loved the location of the building and places around it. Lots to see and do, relax or eat.Bed very comfortable and clean.And sweet view on the 13th floor.Cons: Check in instructions ambiguous. Not being certain, so I asked, and instead of answering my questions, I'm told to go back and read previous emails. Not good customer service!!!Come to find out when I emailed the host that I had arrived, then someone is coming from another location with key and fob.It was only 1 key and 1 fob..a real pain when my wife needs to come and get me when she had to go in early to get ready for plans.Should be 1 key and 1 fob per adult!!!Bathroom could use some updating.On next to last day, cleaning crew (man and woman) had entered my unit to clean it but then saw our stuff still inside. They were standing outside my unit when I walked up, calling trying to find out why the unit wasn't empty.It was their honest mistake, but what if my wife had been in the unit getting ready when they entered? That would have been very bad.

The ocean view is unbeatable, and it’s lovely having two bathrooms. The location in Waikiki is great and you can walk anywhere in Waikiki from this location. The only thing I’d say is because it’s so oceanfront, it can be busy in front of the unit and there is a steak grilling business right below the unit. So if you’re sensitive to smoke and grease, this would be tough for you. Also, things are old and could use some repairs.The curtains didn’t open, the lights weren’t working, and towel rack was falling apart. Also, the mattress on the bed is really of poor quality. Maybe a topper could help. It was very uncomfortable.With that being said, you probably won’t be disappointed staying here. It’s a cute unit with everything you could need.Thank you!
