We rented this unit while attending a conference, but loved it as a centerpoint for both our professional commitments and for exploring the area. Paul - our rental concierge - was kind and responsive and the rental had everything we needed! The Steak Shack and Acai bowl place in the building were also surprisingly awesome. Before you walk over to the Starbucks in the building next door, try an iced coffee from the Tropical Tribe on the main floor first!

As long as you follow the instructions they give you, checkin was easy. We parked on site but unless you plan on traveling to different adventures, a rental car was not really necessary. This property does not have a pool but that was not a priority for us. We enjoyed the beach and chairs that were provided inside the condo. It was a very spacious and comfortable stay for us with a beautiful lanai. We spent most our time on the lanai. Beautiful views especially of the Friday night fireworks. We found the bed to be very big and comfortable. Washer and dryer was a very nice addition and worked great. Air conditioning was fantastic. Elevators were quick and always operational. Great location and walkable to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

The condo is very clean and comfortably sleeps a family of four. The owner met us on the day of our arrival and explained everything we needed to know to best enjoy our stay. The condo came with plenty of incidental items to to kick off a great vacation on the beach. We will book this condo again in the future. Oh and I must mention that since we were on a high floor we had the perfect balcony view of the Hilton Hawaiian village fireworks display on Friday evening.

We’ve been to Oahu numerous times and had a very high mark of what we were looking for in terms of accommodations and this place hit them all; location on the beach (just an elevator ride downstairs), full kitchen, two bathrooms, walkable location to Waikiki restaurants, included parking, a beautiful oceanfront view.
We were so incredibly happy with our stay and our hosts. We hope to be back soon!

It was a wonderful 6 days. I wish I could have stayed longer.The rooms are oceanfront, breakfast is served on the lanai, and it is the ultimate in luxury.The rooms were clean and comfortable.One disappointment was that the shower stall was very poorly drained.Perhaps this is a problem with the Waikiki Shore building itself.I would appreciate it if you could address this issue as soon as possible, as I feel the “poor drainage” every time I stay at the Waikiki Shore.The shower was almost watery on one day during our stay. Other days were fine.I would like to stay here again next time.

This place is amazing!
PROS:
-The photos can’t do the view justice. Beach on one side, city on another, and hills on the last
-It’s on the beach and steps from tons of shopping and restaurants
-The huge patio doors open all the way, extending the apt onto the patio so you can enjoy the view and smell of the ocean anytime
-The garage parking is an absolute game changer (parking is very challenging and expensive in Honolulu)
-Comfy king size bed
-Big tv (though we never turned it on)
-Full kitchen (having a dishwasher was awesome) -In-unit laundry
-Great water pressure in the shower
-An amazing bidet
-Provides beach chairs and beach towels
-The beach is vast and beautiful with a gorgeous view of Diamond Head
-There’s also a great pier you can walk down and watch for sea life- we saw a huge turtle!
-NO mosquitos! At first I was disappointed the patio didn’t have screens but you won’t need them
CONS:
-none!
-If I’m being picky, I wish there was a beach umbrella because those are expensive to rent on the beach. But there’s a Target nearby if you want to buy one (probably cheaper than renting for a day).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
-The ocean floor on the beach directly out the building door is very rocky and not great on bare feet so bring water shoes OR walk down the beach 100 yards, it gets sandier.
-Get gelato at IL Gelato Cafe (5 mins walk from apt)
-Try the dessert cafe on Saratoga St (2 mins walk from apt)
-Cage dive with sharks with Hawai’i Shark Encounters

We stayed for a week of surfing and foiling at well known local spots and had a wonderful stay. The condo had more than everything we needed for our vacation, when out of the water as a 1/2 with two tvs with cable and lanai overlooking the jetty. We definitely enjoyed it and using the pool next door was a bonus.

We very much enjoyed our stay and wished we’d had another couple of days.
Everything met my expectations. My wife wasn’t sure she wanted to spend part of our vacation in a city atmosphere but once we arrived she quickly realized how much there was to do around us there. We really enjoyed the views from the balcony and being able to just take the elevator down and be at the beach or the pool in 60 seconds. My only very minor issue involved check in/out but this was just due to either vague or incorrect information from the workers. If that’s all I have to complain about then I’d say I had a great time.

This unit was truly amazing. The views from the lanai were stunning. The unit was well stocked and exactly what we needed. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. By far the biggest plus with this unit is its location. Amazing dining, beach, and entertainment within just a few steps. The entire building was very clean and secure. This is a small studio that has ALL the basics… comfy bed, small kitchen area, washer and dryer, decent bathroom. And… location, location, location! Right on the beach by a part. Great little balcony for ocean and people watching, and fireworks watching on Friday. Lots of food options nearby. We loved it!!

We couldn't be happier that we were able to stay at the Waikiki Shore condo. The security was excellent, and there was so much to see and do within walking distance of the building. Not to mention the views of the water and the sunset. The unit was stocked with everything we could want for making our own meals or keeping leftovers and re-heating if necessary. Loved it!

There was nothing lacking at this property. Check in with Paul was a breeze. He was totally responsive when we arrived. The shower was decent. We especially appreciated the Toto Washlet. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living space was comfortable and the living room TV was quite large and hooked up to our devices readily. The closet space and drawer space was more than we could ever need. The bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well. We enjoyed the balcony most of all. Of course, we didn’t miss the friday fireworks. We love the location of the building and the parking across the street was secure and close enough. The building has had many updates and upgrades since the last time we stayed here. We hope to return and stay in this unit again.

Absolutely incredible location and place. Enjoyed incredible ocean views from the room and balcony. Was located in the perfect spot for us, truly on the beach for snorkeling, surfing, swimming plus located facing a quiet park away from the noise. Plus a bonus, very cool pickleball court and community in the park beside the condo.
Room is very easy to get in and out of, with elevator access on the beach side.
Would 100% recommend this for others.

Dingy walls and paint peeling. Not "one bedroom" as advertised. Only a studio with two double beds. Photos and description on VRBO are misleading. Not renting from VRBO again.

We spent nearly a week in Waikiki and were grateful for the location and proximity of this condo to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and much more. The unit itself could use some updating but the views from the balcony were perfect and the in-unit laundry was extremely convenient. There was also minimal noise which was nice given the bustling location.

A studio that has everything you need. Well equipped, amazing view, perfect location next to a less crowded beach than Waikiki central, great for swimming and snorkelling. Unit has beach chairs and a boogie board. Very comfy firm bed. Gas stove, big fridge, great shower. It’s just a short walk or bus to everything else. We’ve stayed at several apartment style buildings in Waikiki from the east to the west ends and think this location was the best as you have an unobstructed view west and out to the ocean, great sunsets, fireworks view, much quieter traffic, close to buses and trolley stops, and great restaurant choice on Beach Walk and nearby hotels. We particularly enjoyed Monkey Pod next door at Outrigger Reef hotel. It’s beachside and has good happy hour. The beach can be accessed from walkways on the west or east sides of our building, with the western one taking you to Steak Shack at the beach end of the building and the eastern one having a shower at the beach end and accessed with your key fob. There is a hire stand on the beach with umbrellas, recliners, boards, kayaks, etc and they give you a discount if you are staying at Waikiki Shore. We hired a kayak and saw so many turtles while paddling towards the Hilton pier. We’ve stayed twice with Captain Cook and highly recommend them. Very reliable and great communication.

This was our second amazing stay in this building. Location is fantastic, beautiful views out to the ocean, watch the Turtles, saw 2 Monk seals in the water and on the beach, Stunning Diamond Head views from the apartment and lanais. Excellent location to watch the fireworks. Stunning apartment in a convenient location with quality and plentiful amenities. Restaurants, ABC stores all within walking distance.Excellent space for our family of 5. Parking included. This space was perfect and made our family holiday memorable. Our 1 regret was not seeing Paul Tucker before we left to thank him personally. Paul manages this property and his welcoming, friendly, accomodating nature is why we will return to Oahu and book here again. Thank you Paul and the Captain Cook booking staff who I communicated with prior to arrival and allowed us to check in 2 days earlier when our plans changed. We loved it here. The condo is located very close to the beach boardwalk but also close to great restaurants and shopping. It was busy outside as it is Waikīkī and near the beach, but the inside was very quiet and we heard no noise above or next to us as it’s a solid concrete building. Terry was easy to deal with and very responsive. A big plus was a full on view of the Friday night fireworks while sitting on the deck.

Our overall stay was wonderful! The view itself is a 10++. We enjoyed every sunset and we were fortunate to be there on a Friday and enjoyed the fireworks show too. We rented a car and although there is no parking on site, the parking that was offered at a fee was right across the condominium and very easy to get to. The condo itself is basic, but has all that you need for your stay. The bathroom as a bidet and after 3 days we used it how it's intended to and let's just say I want one for my home!!! The bed was way too soft for my liking. I know others complained it was too hard and well now, I feel the topper that was bought for it is just way too soft. If they replace it for something in between then you have it made! The location is great and you can easily walk to Kalakaua Avenue (main strip) and find plenty of shopping and restaurants. Overall, would stay here again and highly recommend it.
