Overall, a nice stay. The property is located centrally in Waikiki close to many stores, restaurants and beaches. I would recommend with disclosures for that guest to make their own choice. Its plainly decorated, did not care for the furniture but the bed was comfortable. A/C unit very loud. Sometimes street noise is heard all hours of the night. It would be nice to have (in the unit) other towels and chairs/umbrella for the beach, as well as an umbrella as rain is likely. Theres a nice city view. The round table is too big on the balcony- a smaller rectangular seems to make more sense. The property is managed by a realty office that closes 4-5pm and could be a concern for issues that arise, and they can't help you. Finally, additional feedback. leave a key with reception for emergencies after Realty hours. Reception indicated other units leave keys.

This is incredible value—literally 3 minutes to the main drag that takes you to Waikiki beach (7 minutes). The unit is airy and has lots of light, is very good sized and has a super comfortable and big bed. The cute little balcony is nice to hear the sounds of the city. Instead of spending 600 a night for a comparable hotel room, we used the savings to enjoy the very fun (and very expensive) restaurants and bars in Waikiki

We had friends stay in 2 other similar fully renovated units in this building for the same price. This unit is very worn, should be updated as most. Of the unit is drom the 80’s at least. I recommend choosing a different unit.

I would have settled for less for the perk of free parking and the central location. But the unit itself was excellent, spacious and clean. We like to walk so it was great to have everything within walking distance including the beach. It was also easy to get to the freeway to explore the island.

Great location. You can walk to anywhere in the immediate city. Noise level is appropriate for the city location. Air conditioning very noisy, old and filthy. I cleaned the filter and wiped out as much mold as I could. Emptied the water pan was a messy job that a frailer individual could not handle. The place was tidy but not clean and there was an over growth of mold. The furniture is also weathered and the pictures are of a newer time. The bed is comfy for a back sleeper but not a side sleeper. There is limited drawer space as quilts and towels fill the drawers. WiFi did not adequately work. So forget using WiFi. The TV channels are very limited as well. Great place to rest and explore from there!

My Girlfriend and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Ocean and City renovated Marine Surf Waikiki condo! With just a short walk to Waikiki Beach, we rarely used our rental car. Everything we needed from surfing, swimming, restaurants, and shopping was all in walking distance. Nella with customer surface was awesome and made everything so easy!The unit was just as described! Super clean and well put together. It was equipped with all the essential cookware & dishes, and even had a little day cooler for us to use as we went out for a picnic.The one heads up would be the parking. There is a 6ft clearance in the parking garage (as was described) but the parking stall itself (for unit 2103) is in the corner and does not provide such clearance. An SUV, Jeep,etc. would not fit well. We lucky had a Nissan Altima and snugged in all good to the spot.We had a Great experience from start to finish! Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The conco showed some age and wear and tear but it was clean and efficient. Easy walking distance to the beach. Plenty of places to eat near-by. The only negative was the noise of garbage trucks at 5:00 am waking us up almost every day. This is not a condo issue but a Wakaki issue. I’m sure they could be heard anywhere on Wakaki.

Overall, great place to stay if you plan to be outdoors for majority of the day. Pros:Location is ideal and dedicated parking with no hassle to go in and out. Great experience walking around Waikiki. Plenty of towels in the unit. And house slippers were provided. Lanai was great to dry clothes.Cons:- Bathroom could be cleaned better, specifically the shower curtain.- City noise was very loud and had to use headphones to sleep.

Nice place. However there were tiny bugs crawling all over the kitchen and bed side table and floor. I cleaned the kitchen counters many times a day to try and get rid of them but they just kept coming. They were all around the sink and dishwasher too. When I opened the dishwasher they were on the clean dishes. I just decided to keep cleaning them up and deal with it, but it was pretty gross. Other problem was there were no pool towels and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall so we couldn’t use it. Aside from that the place was nice.

There was no cooking pans for the oven, 1 pot and 1 frying pan. *Only one fob to get in and out with.

Great location, a low stress stay, very easy to check in and out. Just as an FYI for people who might rent this place and have a rental car: google maps will always keep trying to get you to go to the wrong entrance, but you have to go in via seaside avenue, which is a one way street, so a bit tricky until you get used to it.

Great Location of the condo. Love that it's walking distance to everything, alot of food and marts to quickly get bites and toiletries. Access to parking was great! Love that we have a parking spot. Parking lot was small and tight to pull in but still works. Just drive with caution. Room was clean and has full amenities. Bathroom does not have air ventaliation so it can get very humid or skinky. There's alot of mirrors in the room too, kinda wierd about that. Mattress was not confortable but the sheets are nice. Our condo level was 7 and it's was very noisy. With all the windows and doors closed, you can still heard trucks and car horns very loudly every day. Overall, satisfactory stay.

Great location with a short walk to Waikiki beach. Plenty of restaurants and stores in walking distance as well. Kitchen fully equipped & all functioned properly, plenty of towels provided, hosts were responsive over messages on vrbo, fast/reliable wifi, easy check in/check out process, comfortable bed, nice partial water views from the balcony. Dedicated parking spot was easy to access and convenient.
It can get a bit noisy at night with loud cars & people on the street being loud, as the apartment doesn't block the noise too well. But not a major issue really. And the bath/shower took a very long time to drain, but again not a major issue at all.
Overall this was a great stay & definitely would consider staying here again.

Given I booked last minute and this is the only condo that was available, I was grateful. Here for a family emergency. I’ve stayed in the Marine Surf many times over the past 8 years but this condo was the most rundown: broken springs in the soiled couch, ac that drips in a bucket on the lanai- the guest is supposed to empty it and it fills up every 6 hrs. No beach towels or chairs, no decor to speak of and 1/3 of the lanai window is boarded up - it’s dark inside compared to most. The table and chairs are awkward - the table is high, the chairs are low. With some upgrades, it would be fine, just run down. The bed was ok if I kept to the middle. The included parking is what makes the Marine Surf my top choice, every condo is different.

We liked our stay at Capitan Cook. We liked the location a lot, very close to the beach, shops and all kinds of food. It can be a bit loud because of the central location, but I used earplugs. My husband was sleeping fine. Parking is great, it would be difficult to find parking elsewhere. The apartment itself is clean, a little bit outdated, but it has everything you may need. We didn’t use a kitchen, but it was clean and has all appliances and dishes. I would recommend to add one warm blanket, as I felt cold at night, while my husband preferred this temperature. Very comfortable mattress and bed overall. Having a balcony was a benefit too. Very pleased with our stay, we would come here again.

We spent 9 nights at Marine Surf unit 1204 in October 2024.The beds were very comfortable. There was also a variety of pillows ranging from thick to thin, so we were able to find some to suit our preferences.The location is good. Close to the beach (10 min walk) but also not facing another high rise. We could see a sliver of ocean and a sliver of mountain. It was well situated for driving in and out of the area, given all the one-way streets in Waikiki.The parking spot barely fit our rental, a Chevy Malibu, so bear in mind not just a height restriction but also length. A shorter SUV may have fit better, and you really need to back in or pull into the spot as far as you can.There's enough storage for two adults with four suitcases plus a bag of motorcycle gear. Space to hang in the closet, two large dresser drawers, and the beds are high off the ground to store suitcases underneath. The table provided surface area to hold pantry items.The stove is small but we used it a few times. If you plan to cook, don't expect room to cook from scratch. We bought meatloaf and lasagna from Costco and the containers barely fit into the oven. We would not have been able to make either from scratch.There was a pan under the air-conditioner on the balcony to catch the run off. We didn't realize it until our first morning when the container overflowed and it was all over the balcony. There were no instructions about that and we would have checked it before bed the first night had we known.The unit appeared clean. Clean sheets, clean towels, clean tub and sinks. However the entire unit needs a deep clean. There were food splatters on the white kitchen cabinets, there was a spill of makeup (foundation) on the wall next to the vanity. Dirty handprints on the bathroom door. And the floors need a deep deep washing. We spilled water and wiped it up with a paper towel that came up black. Very dirty.Aside from the cleaning, we would stay again. Great loc
