Unit was clean and comfortable, and property was beautifully landscaped. Parking was convenient. Beach across the street provided a beautiful view and it was great to hear the waves crashing. However, we were a little disappointed that the beach was so narrow and bordered a busy road. But there were other sensational beaches within a short drive. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

This property was phenomenal. Right across the street is an amazing beach with snorkeling and a really great restaurant. The property was clean and cute. There was plenty of beach stuff like beach chairs, beach towels etc to help support your stay. We absolutely loved it and plan to stay again when we are back!! such a rare find!!

We really enjoyed this studio. The bed is wonderful - king size and very comfortable. Even with a king size bed there is plenty of space to sit and visit. The kitchen worked great; we appreciated the full-size refrigerator. The closet area was good and the big set of shelves was very useful for laying out our clothes, etc. Bathroom is well lit. The grounds are truly a garden paradise, with beautiful tropical plants and flowers everywhere. The pool is also very nice. I loved hearing all the birds...my husband was not a fan of the roosters crowing at all hours! We would stay here again, and recommend it highly. The only drawback was the stairs; my husband is recovering from knee surgery so it was a bit difficult for him, but he did OK!

Beautiful one bedroom apartment. Very cosy and comfortable. Has an amazing ocean view from the balcony. The pool on site was incredible - great temperature. The landscaping is incredibly beautiful. This condo is on the 2nd of three floors (stairs only, no elevator), but we were happy not to hear any noise above us. We rarely used the air conditioning, but relied mostly on a lovely cross breeze through the jalousie windows located at the front and back. Unfortunately, the wild roosters crow at all times of the day and night, so ear plugs are a great idea. The place was charming but some of the luxuries we expect in the states were not provided; i.e. dishwasher, disposal. The lanai was tiny but it offered a beautiful ocean setting. The bed is huge and comfortable, the bathroom (especially the shower) was very nice and the kitchen furnishings were everything we needed. We were disappointed that the recycling was mixed in with the garbage because there are no clearly marked bins. The pool is lovely and surrounded by lots of beautiful greenery. Other than these few minor things, the condo is situated in a perfect part of the island and beaches for any activity are within minutes, even if walking. Kauai is paradise and we very much thank our VRBO hosts. It was wonderful! Mahalo!

We had a wonderful stay at Prince Kuhio. The location was within walking distance to multiple beaches and the unit was well-equipped with beach chairs, bags, boogie board and an umbrella. It was nice to have shady place to park our car. As with any place on Kauai, make sure you bring earplugs - otherwise you'll hear those roosters very early in the morning.

One of our favorite places we stayed on the islands!Beautiful grounds with abundant orchids and tropical plants.Condo was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything we needed. Great snorkeling beach just across the road - we even saw breaching humpback whales from there!Full kitchen had all we needed to make several meals (Hawaii restaurants are expensive!) Laundry on site is great, and VERY convenient, COVERED parking is right next door - Actually better than the condos lot!!Pool area is wonderful- right balance of sun and shade, and plenty of chaises.Short drive to other snorkel spots, Spouting Horn, and airport. Buy your groceries in Lihue, though, because markets are limited on South shore.MUST get white pineapple from a fruit stand on Kauai - may change your life, they are that good!My only criticisms are minor, and not the fault of the hosts - just FYI. First, someone in an adjacent condo was smoking, so we couldn't always enjoy the balcony (tho smoking is prohibited on grounds). Second, Roosters crow at all hours, even before dawn (Island-wide problem, and can'tcontrol the wildlife!) Last, the condo faces East, so you get first light. We were generally up early, but sun might wake you. Excellent communication with hosts, and lovely, convenient, quiet condo. DEFINITELY BOOK THIS ONE!

Nice location for exploring the south shore. It’s right across the street from great snorkeling (lots of fish and turtles) and a beginner surfing off shore break. It’s walkable to a shopping center with restaurants. It’s a 5 minute drive to Poipu beach. Take the boogie board that’s provided over to the small boogie boarding beach next to Poipu beach- felt like a kid again! I’d definitely recommend!

A dishwasher & garbage disposal would be good. The shower has no light or fan. Suggest adding or using a transparent shower curtain to allow more light in.

Great location and great price. Have to talk about the roosters though. These guys wake up anywhere from 0045 to 0330 and choose violence. I had to sleep with earplugs and noise canceling headphones. Go to bed early because you will be up very early.

Due to some kind of malfunction we were unable to stay at the room we booked, however our hosts were incredibly quick with presenting an alternative property that they had available. This second property was not on the beach, as we had intended, but I genuinely believe we had a much better experience at this second property than we would have had at the beach. We loved our visits to Poipu beach, but being in a small residential neighborhood, still close enough to drive, had a lot of charm and a real sense of tranquility in the evenings. Our hosts were friendly and gracious, and even refunded us the difference in price between the two listings. They clearly would have graciously granted a full refund if we decided to make other arrangements. I loved my time in Kauai, and WHEN I return I fully intend to book with Julie again.

Overall location was great. The pool was great. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was decent. Patio and view were very nice. The TV could have been larger for watching a movie at night. The biggest disappointment was the dripping AC unit and the bright sun shining in just below it. We went through a few bowls each day collecting water from the unit.

The gardens at this property are outstanding. The view off the balcony is wonderful. The air conditioning doesn’t work but there are plenty of fans and the whole wall towards the ocean opens up.

This was the perfect room for our stay in Kauai - it was close to Kōloa and Po’ipu and served as a home base while we explored the island. Great restaurants around there - Beach House, Merriman’s, La Spezia, Porky’s - and shopping. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were even coolers we could take to the beach. We had a great time - mahalo!

Prime location for how close it is to the beach, shave ice, nearby restaurants, and more! We loved our stay here! We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and had dinner at the Beach House restaurant during sunset and it was amazing to just get to walk there and not have to worry about valet parking or anything. The place was very clean, with a comfy bed and in a lovely garden setting. We would have given a higher rating except for some lacking amenities expected for higher ratings. While it’s not a problem to use the general site laundry facilities, there was no detergent or fabric softener in the unit or facility dispensers (as noted in the unit book) - we purchased pods and dryer sheets and left in the room. Only 3 bathroom towels were provided (they didn’t dry well), which is not enough for 2 people who are active on vacation. Coffee pot in pictures is a 12-14 cup coffee maker and the unit only had a 5 cup coffee maker with 12 cup filters. Kauai is amazing and overall this is a clean and comfortable unit.

My reviews of other properties have been overwhelmingly positive. However, this particular condo unit is shabby but definitely not chic. The furniture is beige and uncomfortable, there is an entire wall (the length of the condo)of mirrors with peeling edges, water damage on ceiling, walls are dinged up, kitchen tile done poorly, dim flickering lights, oven doesn’t work, no air conditioning, no dresser for clothing, no place to dry suits and beach towels, and the chairs at the kitchen island aren’t at counter height. The street noise late into the evening is incredibly loud. There is a deck but it is so narrow you can only sit sideways in a chair. The most comfortable place to sit is on the bed, but you can’t see the tv from there. In the bathroom, there is a curtain rather than a door which makes privacy difficult. There is also no bathroom fan and weirdly there is a window from the shower into the “family” room. You can watch TV and watch someone shower at the same time. No shampoo or conditioner - just a bar of soap. They use nails to hold the toilet paper on the holder. Overall there is just an unkempt outdated feeling.There are a few positives. When I contacted management for towels or for an early check-in they were courteous and responsive. Parking is easy and the pool area looked clean. They had beach chairs and a cooler.
