Perfect condo in Poipu/Koloa with a view! Faces east for incredible sunrises, and if you’re on mainland time, you will be up for them!!! We could see turtles and whales right from the lanai as advertised and just a short walk to Baby Beach, which was awesome!

We love the location of this VRBO. Right on the water and close to mini great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of TP, paper towels, beach towels, ocean gear, including snorkel stuff, wake surf boards a catching a surfboard even. The binoculars were especially helpful during whale season. I definitely would recommend staying at this VRBO and we will be back.

The pictures were accurate but the unit was very tired. The couch and overstuffed chair were well worn. The ottoman you couldn’t sit on comfortably because it had no support. The glass coffe table had a narrow edge and was dangerous. We moved the table out of the way.The living area was very musty. Carpet was old and likely contributed to the musty smell. The air conditioner in the living area did not perform well and did not clear out any of that musty smell. The old, small beach chairs, and very small umbrella in the closet was not really usable for us. We went ahead and rented our own Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella for the trip.The unit was very clean. The bathroom was nice as it had been updated. All communication with Vacasa and the logistics of renting was excellent.Great view.At 400 a night I did not feel it was a good value.We will try another location next year.

We were super excited about staying near the ocean and this property didn't disappoint for that reason. Beautiful location. Outside property was well maintained. Denise was very easy to communicate with. Nice to have beach chairs, and accessories. We were just disappointed in the unit itself. It was very dated and definitely needs some upgrades. Carpet looked dirty, fixtures and furniture outdated, too cluttered, and an unusual shower in the bedroom. Maybe someone likes that? Just didn't feel like a vacation rental.

The location of the condo is simply amazing. Watching from the comfort of our deck, the whales, dolphins, turtles and P20 the monk seal are experiences of a lifetime. The icing on the cake was meeting Walt and Joy. They truly are the most gracious hosts. Thank you for everything and we will see you again in 2 years.

Kuhio Shores complex was older and less maintained than we had hoped. Condominium itself had recently updated kitchen that had everything needed for a stay which was nice. Balcony overlooked inlet on one side and busy road to the left. Easy check in process and owner had great communication. Upon arrival noticed couch and loveseat were quite stained and dirty looking- owner responded assuring he would put that on list to get cleaned .There was an insect issue- notified owner and he said he would pass on for additional services . Overall this wasn’t the area/ place we think we will be returning to- we enjoy the North shore more. We did however appreciate owners timely responses.

This property was perfect. The balcony was amazing to just watch the surfers and whales spouting and the beautiful sea.This condo is equipped with anything you might need. Beds were very comfy too. It’s so nice that beach chairs, coolers etc. are there for your use.We were busy doing things but it was always nice to get back to this unit and relax.Hoping we can come back again. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay here, watching the whales each day, listening to the waves along the shore and relaxing on the lanai. Location is very nice with easy walk/drives to many restaurants and shops. Quiet complex with easy parking as well. Great communication with owners. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time, convenient location to explore the south shore. The water and sunrise views were wonderful. Well equipt room. Parking was free and right at the building. Restaurant was right next door so you never needed to travel for dinner but make reservations. Just don’t park directly under the palm tree at the condos, bird poo but everything was great. We would stay again.

We just had the best time in Poipu, Kauai. If you are looking for a great, comfortable and functional place to stay, get to all the amazing natural sites (and Kauai has many), go to beautiful beaches, swim, snorkel, eat delicious food out or stay home and cook, have coffee with the turtles in the bay right in front of the lanai, every morning for sunrise, and watch the whales spout, (I even saw one breach one morning), and walk around the building for gorgeous sunsets, this is perfect place! They provided everything that one could want and it felt like home, clean, nicely decorated, functionl, excellent communication… I really enjoyed reading the book about the restoration of the building plus.Very interesting and showed the amount of work and care that was put into the project. This condo was in an excellent neighborhood. Very safe for walking and very close to stores, restaurants, etc. There were beaches on each side of the condo complex for swimming and snorkeling. The condo itself was clean and well equipped with a retro vibe, sort of like a 70s vibe in terms of decor. The shared laundry facilities are very close - just down the hallway. Definitely can’t beat the views.

The location is great! Morning coffee sunrises were the best, right from the deck. We didn't use the AC, just closed blinds during day when we were away and fans at night. Check in was self check in and parking pass must be issued by on site manager, not in the room as our paper work stated. The condo could use some updates and minor repairs. We were short on bath towels and toilet paper as we stayed for 2 weeks. It was quite spendy to have the rental company bring fresh towels so we decided to use the on site laundry facility and it was clean and efficient. It was a short walk to Longs drugs for more toilet paper. We would stay at Kuhio Shores again but definietly would inquire about an updated room.

We loved our stay at the "Ocean Front Condo" at Kuhio Shores in the Poipu Beach area of Kauai. While the unit does not face the open ocean, it looks out onto a small bay and you can hear waves crashing on the rocks. You can see the open ocean from the lanai which is large and furnished with a bar table/stools on one side and comfy chairs with foot stools on the other. The unit is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need - iron/ironing board, ice chests, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella. The kitchen is large, clean and well stocked with everything you might need to cook and clean. I would suggest the addition of a dish drying rack, but that was the only missing thing I could think of. The bed was very comfortable and the building was very quiet. We'd definitely come back!

The location was superb! The condo was stocked well-salt, pepper, etc. The condo was a little dated, but not a problem. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. Dust was very piled up in back of the night stand lamp in the bedroom. And there was a big cockroach in the bathtub. Overall it was beautiful and I loved going to sleep listening to the crashing waves of the ocean.

The view off the Lanai is mesmerizing as is the sound of the surf crashing against the reef. The unit was clean with everything that you would need. We had an unbelievable time at this Condo! We saw whales and turtles every day while enjoying coffee and again at Social hour. And one day we saw at least 3 dozen dolphins some doing their jumping out of the water and spinning. The A/C worked great. The community bbq grills worked great. You can swim, snorkel and surf right outside. We picked the right place to stay on Kauai!

We really enjoyed the unit. Great design, very well supplied with all one would need, loved hearing the surf. But it really does need a new bed/mattress. It was too soft and jiggled any time one of us moved. A small point: I would have a thinner bedspread rather than the quilt.

We had an amazing visit. We really appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs (one of them was broken, but considering there were 4 that worked we have no complaints). The view is amazing and the kitchen was full of all the little things one might need (seasoning, ziplock bags, a variety of pans and utensils, etc). Thank you very much!
