The condo was great and very comfortable. Awesome views from the lanai. It had any the beach supplies you would need. We had a little trouble with the AC but that might have been due to us having it too low. The owners quickly responded and resolved the problem. Food places were close but not walkable. You need a car to get around. We would definitely recommend it.

Lovely, well equipped 1 bedroom. This condo is in a great location - close to beaches, shops; the highlight is sitting on the lanai or in the main room watching the shifting tides, seeing the sea turtles near the surface, listening to the waves crash, watching the moonlight light up the ocean. This is a quiet peaceful place. The condo also offers the ability to go to the Poipu Athletic Club, and the excellent Beach House restaurant is next door to the condo.

A condo with wonderful views and in a quiet location. Very well equipped, nice linens and towels. Fabulous hosts, quick responses to any queries. Check in very straightforward, with clear instructions for arrival and departure. Appreciated the books and puzzles in the unit for quiet times. We didn't need the air con as the fans worked well in the bedroom and living room. Great location for travelling West or North. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Very comfortable apartment for two adults and a 6 year old, easy walking distance to a lovely kid-friendly beach. Communication with host and housekeeper was friendly and helpful. Spent all of our time on the balcony enjoying the spectacular view. I would book again!

The unit has many positive features and is in a fantastic location. Items we experienced during our stay:- The kitchen fluorescent light became increasingly unreliable. It would sometimes take several minutes to come on and, during the last three days of our stay, stopped working altogether.- The bathroom fan is quite loud and appears to have some mechanical wear.- Several cabinet drawers and doors are misaligned and do not close properly.- The AC unit occasionally rattled and made loud noises during the night. Adjusting the fan speed or turning it off temporarily usually resolved the issue.- Many of the electrical outlets no longer hold plugs securely. Some plugs become loose or fall out. - We were unable to get the smoke detector to function. We recognize that wear and tear are inevitable in a vacation property, and we appreciate the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful location. However, given the premium price associated with a beachfront property, we were somewhat surprised by the number of maintenance items that needed attention. I hope this feedback is helpful and taken in the spirit intended. We enjoyed our stay overall and wanted to pass along these observations so that future guests can have an even better experience. Our stay was just magical, enjoying the ocean and surf view right outside the windows, sitting on the lanai with a cool drink and snacks, watching those sweet sea turtles swimming in the waves, and the surfers were fun to watch too! The view of the ocean greeted us as soon as we opened the door. We did not over-plan our itinerary to be gone every day because it was so pleasant and restful to stay home to make the best of that view opportunity. The location was a good hub for getting around to various points of interest, shopping, and restaurants. Our host was very responsive if we had a question come up now and again. A delightful 5-star vacation accommodation!

This was an awesome property that was perfect for 2 people staying for a week in Poipu. The ocean sounds from the crashing waves are priceless. The room was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, beach chairs, coolers and a whole bunch more! We loved this place. The only reason we are not a 5 out of 5 is the cockroach we saw in the bathroom. That was not a great experience for my wife, unfortunately. I know that bugs in Hawaii are a reality so it is hard to have a perfectly pest free environment. I’m not “bugged” by that one thing. One thing I really appreciate is the A/C. Wow, what a difference maker. Overall, we are very pleased with this unit and the overall location. If we are going to Poipu, this will be on the top of the list to re-rent if it is available! Well done!!!

This stay was absolutely unreal! My husband and I came to Kauai for a week for our honeymoon and Denise was the kindest host and always responded so promptly to my messages! The condo was absolutely beautiful and the sound of the waves put us to sleep so fast every night, not to mention the turtles every day feeding on the reef! We also loved the convenient location, so close to all you could need; a variety of restaurants, shopping and specialty stores, drug store, farmers market, etc., just a short drive or walk away. Really an amazing property. The view was awesome and the place was very clean. The only negative was the 78 degree rule for the AC. This is too hot to sleep. We opted to open doors and windows to get a nice sea breeze at night but was still a bit warm and noisy. However, the place was great and I would stay there again as I already miss watching the surfers every day.

The ocean is so close. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sea turtles and the surfers. The sound of waves crashing lulls you to sleep. The condo and property are a little older, but well kept. The condo was FULLY stocked with anything you’d need inside or outside. The entire process was very easy. The view from this unit can’t be beat. We worked our dinner schedule around the two hours before sunset to watch the surfers and the turtles. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. The kitchen is fairly well equipped though an outlet didn’t work so we moved the coffee maker. It would be nice to have a bigger pan to cook on even for just the two of us. We like easy one pan meals! But otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the unit is well equipped with beach chairs and towels. Thank you! This is a very comfortable unit with an awesome view!

Fantastic views in a great location. Enjoyed being right on the water with a very short drive to restaurants and shopping. Walking access to snorkeling beach by restaurant next door. A monk seal hung out on that beach the first few days of our trip. Convenient elevator for moving luggage, plenty of parking, and water spicket to wash sand off feet when returning from beach. Grounds are nicely kept. Didn't end up needing to use the laundry facility, but appreciated it was there if needed. Highly recommend. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful spot being close to Hoai Bay with great turtle watching and the sound of the surf. The unit has been upgraded and worked well. The air conditioning was not working but we had been informed of that and offered an alternate unit but we chose to stay with this one as we loved the view and the fans worked well. Only issue that we had was challenges with the dishwasher as it didn't always start when we thought we had it set properly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We spent a month in the condo as an anniversary vacation.The view is incredible and the condo complex is very clean.The condo is dated but clean. One thing that needs to be addressed: Toilet is practically on the floor. I think right about 12 inches but they tried to lift it by putting some lifts on the backside of the toilet seat which makes cleaning very hard. Very hard to flush and collects orange iron staining. Anybody with mobility issues this toilet is not going to work. Knees or hip issue good luck. The TV. Oh my what an ordeal. For some reason we got knocked off while watching and not even touching it. Spent two hours on the phone with Hawaiian telecom to get it back working. Trying to get in touch through VRBO was very hard. Not sure if they check VRBO messages.. Get a phone number for texting for problems.

Oh my gosh!!! The best decision we made when planning our trip was to stay at this oceanfront condo!! It was so amazing to have the beautiful blue water just steps outside our door! And to get the best sunset on the island that everyone else has to drive here for, or eat at the Beach House to see. . We loved the ground floor so we could lay on the grass, play games and have meals with the ocean literally 5 feet away. And to hear the waves crash through the screen doors or windows as you sleep is amazinc. No need for A/C at all (though the unit has it it if you need it). We were so sad to leave this morning! The photos on the post of the couch are a bit older, there is now a queen size pullout bed. I researched a ton of different places to stay, and none of the others would’ve held a candle to this because of the ocean being right there. Also, Lawai beach, with cal snorkeling and a small sandy beach is steps away around the corner from the condo, just beside the Beach House restaurant. Watching surfers outside all day was also a bonus! Don’t spend any more time researching where to stay… This is definitely where you want to be!
