This condo was amazing! The location couldn't be better. Right on the water. You can see the sea turtles come in and feed right out the front door. Lawai beach is super close and great for snorkeling with the gear provided at the condo. Food, grocery, and shops super close. Instructions were all super clear and communication was quick and easy if we had any questions. Was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to Kauai!

This place is as advertised with a great view and nice one story condo. The neighborhood was nice and we traveled north and west around the island and felt it was centrally located for our needs. We enjoyed the Poipu area. When I had questions, he was quick to respond and gave us lots of information.

We are so glad that we chose this property and to rent from Greg. We couldn't wait to open up the front door when we first arrived and go out to the back patio and see the incredible ocean view and watch the sunset, which we watched every night afterwards right from the grass area. We we were very comfortable in this condo with plenty of room to spread out and we felt at home. Greg is an excellent communicator which was very important to us when choosing a VRBO. We were glad that Greg lives on the island, but we had no problems or reasons to communicate with him during our stay. What a gem of a property this is! The lighting inside the condo was great with all of the dimmer switches for the perfect ambiance. We loved eating breakfast looking out at the ocean and sitting out on the patio looking at the stars at night! We would definitely recommend staying at this condo. No need to look any further. An oceanfront condo in Poipu doesn't get any better than this!

We all loved the property. Beautiful location and was right on the ocean. Close to many amenities. Manager/owner was very responsive to all of our contacts with him and he was very informative with activities and restaurant choices. The snorkel equipment was not in the condo as stated so he offered to bring some to us or we could buy some and he would have reimbursed the cost. Super nice location.
The only negative was that the interior doors had frosted glass, while pretty they do not offer 100% privacy and that made our future daughter-in-law a bit uncomfortable. Back bedroom had signs of moisture damage on the ceiling. The bathrooms had glass bowl sinks that sat on top of the vanities. This makes it difficult for shorter people to reach over the bowl. They are quite beautiful.
All in all this was a great condo to stay at. We really enjoyed the area. Poipu Beach was awesome to see turtles every evening. He also supplied coffee. *****

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It was near shopping and had a great little beach (Lawai) that was a good spot to snorkel. It’s down the street from Spouting Horn and a garden so there’s a bunch of things to do nearby. Poipu beach was only a few minute drive away. The condo had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable too! Since it’s on the ground floor, there were some noises that we heard throughout the evening but nothing too loud or enough to even wake us up. Greg was very responsive and friendly. He helped make our first stay at Kauai amazing. We will definitely stay here again next time!

This is a wonderful place to stay! It’s located on the south side of the island, 25 min drive from Lihue airport. First of all, thanks the owner Greg for his hospitality and for the easy communication with him. His condo is on the first floor, just on the water front and on the little Lawai beach where you can snorkeling (there are all beach equipments you need in condo). You will feel in this nice decorated condo like in your house. The Big Save Market is 6 min drive, Waimea Canyon is 40 min. It’s also two great beaches not far away where you can see seals and sea turtles on the beach and sunsets: Salt Pond Beach and Poipu Beach. Don’t forget to visit Kaua’i Coffe Company, for 15 years we buy and order coffee only from there. Amazing sunrises and starry nights from the front patio. I highly recommend this place! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kuhio Shores. We saw whales and turtles from our lanai every day. The apartment was perfect for 2 couples. And it was a short drive to Koloa town and the great beaches of Poipu. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had 6 friends over for dinner one night and cooked up a storm with no limitations. We had to connect with the owner a few times and he was incredibly accessible, responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Everything about this place is perfect. The pictures are accurate; the ocean is just steps away from the back door. The views are gorgeous, the room is clean and quiet, the bed is comfortable, and everything you could need is close by. We spent a lot of time sitting on the lanai, watching turtles swim in the surf.
Greg was also a great communicator and responded quickly when I had a question!
I seriously can't say enough good things about our stay here. We loved it.

We stayed at this condo in late October 2023. It is all that the photos and description says it is. It is right on the shore (no beach) with surfers going to it just off shore. For a 2 bedroom condo, it is not huge but plenty big enough. The lanai is ground floor and really nice. The view is, at the right times of day, spectacular enough that we saw multiple people doing selfies trying to post "show off" videos right outside. We especially liked the AC systems. The condo has 2 bedrooms and the living area; and it has 3 AC systems, one for each. You can set the temp in each area as you see fit and the systems will cool it. And the parking for the condo was really easy. But of all the positives, the best thing about this condo is the location; right on the shore and centrally located around the Poipu area's stuff. One thing we were concerned about was that the condo did not have its own washer/dryer. Each floor has a coin-op, which proved no problem at all as they were available the vast majority of the time...just bring quarters, $2.50 per load either washer or dryer.
Bottom line - this is a really good condo and when we come to Kauai again, this will be our choice.

I couldn’t imagine staying at a more beautiful place! Right outside the sliding door is the ocean. Every day started with watching the sunrise and ended with a beautiful sunset. The interior was clean and spacious. The property was quiet. I highly recommend staying here.

An amazing location and beautiful condo. The condo was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, etc.
We sat on the patio each morning to watch the sunrise and every evening to watch the sunset. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and the locals are very friendly. The owner communicates well and timely, and was very helpful with suggestions for fun and dining on the island. I highly recommend this property!

Our stay was great, the location was perfect. They were doing construction right next door so it got noisy but the contractors staff were very nice and tried very hard not to be a distraction and kept us informed so we could clear out before the noise started. Other then that it was exactly what I had hoped and plan to return again to that location and if possible to unit 110. Thank you Greg for being a great host

The view of the ocean from the lanai is fantastic! The ocean is about 30 feet from the lanai. Being on the ground floor is great as you can walk from the lanai to the seawall. My wife and I ate breakfast and drank coffee on the lanai every morning. We also drank wine many nights on the lanai. We loved to listen to the sound of the waves crashing. On many occasions, we saw seals and turtles in the ocean while sitting on the lanai. We also watched the surfers when we were there. Some people do walk in front of the condo, but no one ever stopped and obstructed our view of the ocean. My son and I used the boogie boards at Brennecke Beach which was great! The condo was clean, and everything worked properly. The beds were very comfortable. The condo is slightly dated but you are reserving this condo for the view. Greg was very quick to reply to any questions we had. My family and I really enjoyed our stay!

The views in the pictures don’t do this justice in person. The whole condo front is open to the ocean and the breeze is wonderful too. Cold air conditioning and very comfortable master bed is really important to us and it didn’t disappoint. We loved being able to watch the turtles and cook our own meals. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Location is super easy to get to local stores and sights. Lots of turtles and surfers to watch. We loved every minute. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in Poipu. The condo was very well fitted with everything you needed for a beach stay . Plenty of beach gear, towels, umbrellas, even snorkeling gear. (Oddly there was no shampoo - we missed that in the description and had to make an emergency trip to the store). The condo got great cross breezes and stayed cool without AC, though we closed the windows and used AC at night to help with the noise from the parking lot. Beds were comfortable and we had a great time.

We’ve stayed at the Kuhio shores before in other units and keep returning as it’s SO close to the ocean. This unit surpassed expectation. It was very clean, well furnished, and extremely well equipped with kitchen and beach amenities. The little beach at the end of the property is in such close proximity for those who wanted to swim and snorkel (to see tropical fish and turtles!). We felt completely at home the moment we walked in as it feels like you are staying in a well stocked home of a friend. The owner was friendly and gracious in our communications with him.

Greg’s 2 bdr/2 bath unit was modern, clean and comfortable for my adult daughters and their husbands. Check in and check out was simple and easy, and they were given an extra hour on check out. Vacationers to Kauai should be aware of the 10 am check out time - very common - and the red eye flights back to the mainland.
This condo building is older, no pool, but the views are beautiful. Good for adults!

Our daughter got married at the Beach House and this condo was a 2 minute walk from the venue. Beautiful ocean view, you can see turtles and surfers from the patio. All four of us loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the ocean. Greg communicated promptly and answered all the questions. Highly recommended. Thank you, Greg!

The Poipu/Koloa area is more resort style than up on the north shore, so you either have a little walking to do or a short drive to go places. That said, this property is in a really nice location and has an incredible view and awesome patio to sit and enjoy. It's a short 10 minute walk from a shopping center, and better yet, 11 minutes from a local strip mall w/ a great convenience store (which has a juice bar, coffee shop, bakery, fish hut, shaved ice...), taco stand, etc... The stay was great, everything was as expected. If I need to find negatives to point out, let's say the screen door kept coming off the track, likely just needs to be replaced - and even when tightly closed, the freezer would leak a bit. We wiped it up and hey, no big deal. Thanks for the great stay!

We were here for my niece's wedding at the beach house so can't get any closer! It's very nice and had everything we needed to cook, grill and go to the beaches. We had a small issue about bedding for a friend and Greg was super helpful. He's the best at getting right back to you and finding the perfect solution. Best host we've dealt with and we come to Hawaii often. The property is beautiful but I have to say we miss having a pool. Not everyone wants to get sandy at the beach everyday. Overall great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit is right on the ocean. Very nice neighborhood. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, plus a restaurant right next door. You can snorkel or surf just a few steps from the lanai. Plenty of available parking in the private lot. When we return to Kauai we will very likely look to stay here again.

From the first interaction with the owner through the last closing of the door, everything went wonderfully. Greg was easy to contact and offered assistance if I ever needed it. I’m thinking the best review is that I never needed to contact him while we were the entire 10 days! The unit is clean and easy to move around in, the entire condo complex was clean and well taken care of. The view is absolutely amazing. I won’t hesitate to look at staying here again. It was a perfect place to celebrate my Mothers 85th and my Aunts 80th birthdays.

Great property. Right on the ocean with a nice patio, grass strip, rocks and the sea. Perfect for watching sunsets every night. The unit was clean and had a great kitchen for cooking. Lots of pans, etc. Could use a few more wine glasses. Easy to walk to restaurants and shopping and beaches. Also handy to have some guide books for the island in the unit.It was a great 10 days on the Garden Isle. We would come again. Greg was a very attentive and helpful host. The door has a number lock so easy to get in and not worry about keys, too. Book it!

Overall this property needs a deep cleaning. There were mold (on AC units/vents and master bath ceiling) and dust balls on walls (above master bed and bath vanity). The mold were a huge health and safety concern that we did not run AC units in the rooms.
Otherwise great location and million dollar ocean views. Also great to star gaze at night.

The location of this condo is amazing - you are right on the ocean and a few minutes walk to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. Host was wonderful to work with before and during our stay. Made great suggestions for restaurants and even made one reservation for us due to the restaurants being so busy during the holidays. Right next door to the building is the Beach House restaurant, which was wonderful. Condo was very clean and had everything we needed from beach towels to boogie boards and snorkeling gear. Will defintely stay here again!

You can’t beat the view, location and the magic sound of the ocean. Private location in Poipu yet only 20 minutes from airport, 30 minutes to small boat harbor and a little over an hour to my favorite Hanalei.
Owner/manager very responsive.
Could use some new wine and mai tai glasses, and second bedroom is on the small side but master is big and comfortable.

My husband and I have stayed and loved Kuhio Shores but we have never stayed on the first floor front and center to both a fabulous sunrise and sunset. This is the prime spot for some of the most beautiful mornings and evenings on the island.
The condo is well stocked with what you need to make a great dinner, or for a beach adventure. Greg is a treasure. He always responds within minutes (or less) if we had a question. He is a real asset to this condo!
We traveled with two of our friends and we all had a great time and never missed a sunset.

When we walked into the condo the view took our breath away. We loved the fact that the lanai was probably only 20 to 25 ft away from the ocean. There is a drop off of about 3 feet and rocks below so it couldn’t be walked but it really didn’t matter. The condo was older but clean and comfortable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The view from the condo is exactly what the VRBO shows. The green grass and bright blue water is nearly at your doorstep. A great location too as its near shopping, a relaxed outdoor mall and excellent restaurants. And you don’t have to leave the condo as it is well stocked with kitchen accessories and a great fridge. The best part is Greg who helped me during a tricky time for me as I was booking the condo. Bravo!
