Spouting Horn, Kauai

Spouting Horn is a blowhole on the rocky coast near Poipu. Incoming waves force water through a lava tube and send a plume of spray into the air, accompanied by a deep hiss and roar.

The lookout and nearby parking make this an easy stop while exploring the south shore. Watch from the viewing area, where you can take in the bursts of spray and the surrounding coastline without going onto the wave-washed rocks.
