We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. We stayed in this same complex a couple years ago and this unit was a much better fit. Having everything on one floor was so much better. The view from the Lanai was spectacular and since I got the flu the second day in Kauai, laying in the sun on the Lanai was just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely book this unit again.

This is a lovely place and the description is accurate! You can hear the ocean?m, even though it’s a short walk away :-) The kitchen is decently equipped, the king bed is comfy (only one we slept in).Bring a book light if you want to read, the lamps are all pretty dim…unless you turn on the very bright lights on the ceiling fans…

This place has so much potential, the space and location are amazing as well as the Nihi Kai property is really well managed, unfortunately we faced many issues during our stay, many cockroaches (we expected some but was not normal…nightstands and beds), the mattresses were very uncomfortable and when we checked they were from 1979!, the dryer does not dry the clothes or beach towels -it would takes 3 cycles to be ready for the next day, the kitchen cabinets and bedroom drawers had a smell we had to wash cups, plates and our clothes after unpacking and there was some potential hazard with bathroom doors not working properly and mirror lights missing with open outlets at kids height. Some of the issues were fixed during our stay that’s why I’m giving 3-5 but the beds were something we couldn’t believe. A easy fix for guests to be comfortable. I would not recommend based on current state but as mentioned has great potential.

The host was very responsive. There was free parking and the accommodations were very clean and comfortable for four adults. The location was great and was very quite a peaceful. I highly recommend staying here.

Septic smells from parking lot filled the condo. Had to keep sliding doors shut. Everyday. This was awful. The Air Conditioner did not keep the lower bedrooms cool. The condo had everything! I mean everything! The beach chairs, boogie boards, wagon were so handy for our beach days. The beach is literally a 1 min walk. The beds were comfortable. The living room furniture was high end with pull out bed. We cooked meals and made lunches each day to take on our day trips. The kitchen literally had everything. We would stay at this exact place again hands down.

What stood out most was truly everything — especially the host. They went above and beyond throughout the entire process and made our stay seamless and welcoming. The amenities were perfect for our family, and the location couldn’t have been more ideal — extra close to the beach with beautiful ocean views. We were lucky enough to see whales right from the deck, and being within walking distance to the sea turtles was unforgettable. Seeing them every single day made this stay incredibly memorable.

Loved the condo, especially the main lanai. Great place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We cooked only a couple of basic meals but the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. We loved the walking distance to Brennecke and Poipu beaches and loved being able to utilize the provided beach towels, coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas, and the regular umbrellas for rain showers and the in unit laundry. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous all around! The location was spectacular. Just a short walk down to the beach for boogie boarding and snorkeling. The grounds were beautiful and onsite activities (pool and tennis/pickleball courts) were great fun. The condo was beautifully maintained, very comfortable and well stocked will all the essentials. The host was fantastic with communication, check in was a breeze. And then any question during the stay were answered lightning fast! We definitely recommend.

Great location with great views of the ocean overlooking Brennecke's Beach just east of Poipu Beach, both an easy walk to and from. The Condo was quiet and comfortable with all the kitchen utensils needed. Bedrooms were clean, quiet and comfortable.

loha! We absolutely loved our stay at Nihi Kai 203 in Poipu. The location truly does not get better. You are right next to Poipu Beach, with ocean views and the convenience of being poolside, which made everything feel effortless and relaxing.Check in and check out were incredibly easy, and there was always someone available if we had a question, which made the entire stay feel seamless and stress free.The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully laid out. And if you like to cook, this kitchen is basically a chefs kitchen. It was fully equipped, spacious, and perfect for cooking meals at home after a day at the beach. Morning coffee on the lanai with the sound of the ocean was a highlight, and evenings were just as peaceful.Being steps from the pool was ideal, whether it was a quick dip or just relaxing nearby. We also loved how walkable everything was. Beach time, sunsets, and nearby dining were all right there without needing to hop in the car.If you are looking for a place that feels like true Kauai living with an unbeatable location, Nihi Kai 203 is a gem. Stephen is a gracious, well organized, responsive & helpful host. So, as one would expect, his place was perfect in every way.It's an ideal location, yards from the Ocean, a block from the beach, with a sunset view & adjacent to two nice tennis courts.The condo itself is as advertised. Newly remodeled, amazing & fully stocked kitchen. Ideal for cooking & entertaining.This 2 BR condo actually has 4 lanais, two upstairs & two downstairs, so if ya need a little a separation from whomever you are traveling with, you've got it.We only have one regret and that is that out a nearly 2 week trip, we didn't allocate more nights to staying at Stephen's condo. Now we know!

The best VRBO we have ever stayed at! From the communication with the owner, to the location, and the all the amenities included with the unit, it was fantastic! Great location on the south side of the island. Walk out the door and you are two blocks away from Brennecke's beach and further on is Poipu beach. Beautiful condo complex and we have never seen so many amenities in a unit (beach chairs, coolers, umbrella, snorkel gear, pickleball ball equipment....I could go on). Also, walking distance to several resorts (including the Grand Hyatt). Would not hesitate to stay here again if we return.

The host was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. We needed a cookie sheet, asked if one was available, when we returned to the condo later that day a set of cookie sheets awaited us. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and inviting. We enjoyed our stay and the view was awesome!

This was a very comfortable and lovely place to stay! The host was extremely responsive. The location is wonderful, and we walked to the beach and nearby restaurants. The three of us felt very comfortable in all the shared spaces and thoroughly enjoyed spending time together. We couldn't quite figure out the television, but that was okay. We used the pool as well, and the unit is so close to the pool, and the parking was extremely easy! We appreciated the beach towels and laundry as well. You will be so happy you stayed here!! .

Villa is very nice and well equipped. Beautiful views/sunsets! Only issues were the latch on the dryer was missing (had to tape it shut-tape was provided), bldg. was not marked with a number so that it was visible from the street (had trouble locating the bldg.). Host was great and very responsive. We would recommend this villa/host!!

overall the property was fine. Some issues were: The unit is very outdated. They do not clean the unit well at all. The cabinet knobs were all nasty sticky. Underneath the couch was very dirty with large pieces of waste. They should move the furniture when cleaning, it was obvious they didnt. Front door was not secure. When the front door is locked, one can still easily turn the doorknob and come in.

Our family of four just spent 7 nights at this condo. It was spacious, clean and in a great location. Very walkable to the beach and a couple restaurants. We appreciated the use of the chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. The view from the deck was beautiful and we really enjoyed drinking our morning coffee while sitting out on the patio. The first few days of our trip were really hot and the primary bedroom got really really warm. We used the fans to air it out and try to cool it, but even at bedtime the room was still pretty warm to sleep. Thankfully it was a little cooler for the end of our trip. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed the condo!

All of the staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the air conditioning. The beds, including the sofa bed, were very comfortable. The location was perfect. The main suggestion I would have is to replace the thin older drapes with something that provides more privacy. We felt that people could see into the bedrooms and living room since we could see out. This would not stop us from staying here again though or from highly recommending this place! Also, the listing states there are 3 bathrooms but there are only 2, both downstairs, so that should be adjusted.
