The complex/grounds were nice. Location was great. It's quiet back in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking. The parking lot is right next to tennis court. Also street parking if you prefer that. Short walk to poipu beach. Pool was great. The unit itself was nice. Some things do need repaired. Another review highlighted some of the obvious things. The toilets are terrible in this unit. They flush so hard/loud that anything in the toilet itself will be splashed out. It's nasty. That should be addressed. Air conditioning worked great. There are 3 mini splits in the unit. One upstairs, two downstairs in the bedrooms. Plenty of dishwasher pods and laundry detergent pods. That was a nice plus. All in all, it was a nice unit in a nice location.

We had a wonderful vacation at Nihi Kai 203. We were two couples in our late 50’s, early 60’s. Location was excellent. Poipu Beach is amazing. Snorkeling was easy to get in and out. If you walk a little further right as you’re facing the ocean is a wonderful Sandy Bay right in front of Marriott. You can float out in the bay. We did a boat ride to Napoli Coast, tubing down the sugar cane plantation, Hanalei Bay, Anini Beach and Waimea Canyon. We still managed to find time to relax and enjoy the condo. The management company was easy to reach and very responsive. They left us a beautiful welcome basket for our 35th Anniversary and my friends birthday. It was very thoughtful. The lanai is super usable. We played cards out there every early evening. Amazing view of you Ocean and pool. The pool was pretty small, but heated perfectly. The only small complaint and not really a complaint is the stairs. You go up the stairs to enter main living area and kitchen. You have to go down a pretty good flight of stairs to get to your bedrooms and bathrooms. Not such a big deal for me and my husband. We have a two story home. Our friends didn’t love the stairs. Kauai is amazing and we can’t wait to return. Mahalo

This place was great for many things, walking distance to the beach, a well equipped kitchen, and a comfortable and rather large space with a view of the ocean and sunsets. A few limitations too, there is no actual washer and dryer present, and the place is not optimally maintained, of note there were several poorly functioning screen doors, one of which was actually falling out of its tracks, and there was no attempt to fix this during our week stay. The curtains were torn in some places and not opening and closing easily. Aside from these shortcomings, it still gets a good rating but with room for improvement.

The location was great. Extremely close to the beaches and the kitchen was well updated. However, given the money spent, we were really disappointed in the cleanliness, privacy, and comfort of the unit.The furniture, carpet, and bathrooms were very dirty with all fabric and carpet showing dirt and a peeling toilet seat, mold/mildew in grout around tubs and sinks, and missing baseboards in the bathroom. Only 1 washcloth, 1 bath towel, and 1 beach towel were provided per person which meant A LOT of laundry with a broken dryer door - very inconvenient! This was not a quiet unit with thin walls, neighbors on both sides and above as well as the pool directly out front and no curtains in the living area for privacy. Finally, the seating in the unit was very uncomfortable with benches for dining, and no chair backs on the patio furniture. The wicker chairs are also very uncomfortable. Disappointing when you are tired from swimming and hiking all day. Unit has potential, but failed to meet our expectations.

This air conditioned, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor unit was very close to parking and incredibly nice. There is a view of the ocean, and the grounds are well kept. Peaceful neighborhood.My brother’s family stayed roughly a mile away at the Marriott Waiohai beach resort. This condo was as large as their suite and much “homier” feeling. All at about 1/4 of what it would’ve cost me at the big resort. There is also a variety of beach gear from Chairs to umbrellas etc… that save on rentals. I was very pleased with my stay and will definitely stay there again if I ever have the opportunity.

We had a wonderful time staying in Poipu at this property. The location is excellent, with an amazing view of the ocean, complex pool and gardens from the lanai. It’s close enough to walk to Poipu beach and the restaurant and coffee shop there (2 blocks) but far enough that it’s quiet. Check in was super easy and there were lots of emails with instructions. There was beach equipment to use, wifi worked well, laundry, kitchen had everything we needed, beds are comfy. There is AC but we didn’t have to use it that much in March. The breeze is good enough. We would definitely stay here again!

Outstanding location; literally a few minutes to several beaches; 25-30 minute (easy) drive to Wal-Mart; COSTCO; Safeway and a host of other stores. 30 minutes from airport.Host was very responsive to an our questions we had. This luxury condo was clean, fully stocked, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the lanai looking out to the ocean and beautifully landscaped property! It had everything we could possibly need except a keirig.The kitchen is fully stocked! I had requested one, but that wasn't provided. Beach chairs and other beach gear was great! There are many stairs to climb up and down getting into the condo and to the bedrooms and bathrooms. If stairs are difficult, this isn't the place for you. The only complaint we have is the picture of the pool in the description. That was one reason we booked this place. The pool looks like an infinity pool looking out to the ocean. It is not! It was small, a long walk from our condo, and not looking out to the ocean. It has a wooden gate around it and it is not an infinity pool. Parking is free and convenient being able to park right by the condo. I give this place 5 stars and the pool 1 star!

Excellent location. Saw whales and spinner dolphins almost daily from the second floor lanai. A short walk to Brennecke and Poipu beaches, about 2 and 5 minutes, to see the green turtles and Monk seals. The place was nicely appointed and comfortable. Bedrooms and baths are downstairs. You come in upstairs and the space is very comfortable with a large lanai. Would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. We stayed in this same complex a couple years ago and this unit was a much better fit. Having everything on one floor was so much better. The view from the Lanai was spectacular and since I got the flu the second day in Kauai, laying in the sun on the Lanai was just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely book this unit again.

You can hear the ocean?m, even though it’s a short walk away :-) The kitchen is decently equipped, the king bed is comfy (only one we slept in).Bring a book light if you want to read, the lamps are all pretty dim…unless you turn on the very bright lights on the ceiling fans…

This place has so much potential, the space and location are amazing as well as the Nihi Kai property is really well managed, unfortunately we faced many issues during our stay, many cockroaches (we expected some but was not normal…nightstands and beds), the mattresses were very uncomfortable and when we checked they were from 1979!, the dryer does not dry the clothes or beach towels -it would takes 3 cycles to be ready for the next day, the kitchen cabinets and bedroom drawers had a smell we had to wash cups, plates and our clothes after unpacking and there was some potential hazard with bathroom doors not working properly and mirror lights missing with open outlets at kids height. Some of the issues were fixed during our stay that’s why I’m giving 3-5 but the beds were something we couldn’t believe. A easy fix for guests to be comfortable. I would not recommend based on current state but as mentioned has great potential.
