We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. Loved the decor and the lanais. Nicest decor I’ve seen in a rental. We enjoyed coffee on the upstairs lanai every morning. The view was nice. You could see the mountains and the ocean from a distance.
The downstairs lanai were relaxing too. The condo was well Stocked. I made a casserole and found everything I needed. There were plenty of spices that were available to use. More than enough bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes and beach towels. More than needed for 4 people. The beds were very comfortable, although I wish that we had brought our own pillows. Loved being able to control the air conditioner by room. We turned it off during the day, and when we came back it cooled quickly. The only thing I would change is the couch and chair. We watched a few movies at night, and I found them to be uncomfortable. And, the water didn’t get as hot as I like. We noticed it was more lukewarm once everyone took a shower in the morning.
They also have plenty of beach chairs, an umbrella, several sizes of coolers (ice maker in freezer was nice to add ice to the small cooler) and a nice beach buggy to lug everything to the beach. Beach is close and can walk. It is downhill though. We actually drive down and dropped everything off, then parked back at the condo and walked back to the beach.
I would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautiful and great location. Kitchen was well stocked, beds we’re comfortable, bathrooms updated, and overall the space was perfect! My only suggestion is to update the carpet. Although the place is very clean and well kept, the carpet is just old and causing a little musty smell. We enjoyed our stay and would rent it again if we return!

The location was really good and close to Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach. Nice condominium complex which was well maintained and quiet. The Property management gave good communication leading up to the stay and texted me to let me know the condo was ready for us before the check-in time. We only had 2 issues:
1.) the unit smelled of urine coming from the upstairs carpet which was more pronounced when the A/C was off. I let them know to clean the carpets before the next guest and they appreciated being notified. They also offered to come in to clean the spot on the rug while we were there but we only had 1 day left and didn’t want to have people in/out of the unit again
2.) the A/C unit in the master bedroom was not working for the first 5 days of the trip. I reported it when we first arrived but did not get anyone out to fix it for 5 days. There were 3 different men that came and went throughout the day to finally get it working correctly. The property management was very apologetic and financially compensated us for the inconvenience. I do realize that it’s difficult to get repair men/women out on the island because of lack of service workers so we understood. We managed fine with the ceiling fan.
Overall, this was a good place to stay and we would return despite the hiccups we encountered. I do feel the property management care about the guests and try their best to make it a good experience. Thank you/Mahalo

Condo was clean and had lots of amenities. Plenty of dish ware with lots of pots and pans. Appliances in good/newer condition. Living room furniture could use replacement, looks a little worn. Bedrooms were nice with comfortable beds. Bathrooms were updated and had lots of space. Soap and shampoo were even provided. Convenient to the beach and local restaurant. Two shopping centers close by. I would definitely stay here again.

We were thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness and beauty of this property. The space was perfect for our family of four. I liked how they had the connecting lanai from one bedroom to the other; my youngest daughter especially enjoyed going out and reading her book. My wife, my daughters and I were thankful for the comfortable beds, and the spectacular views from the lanai. The upstairs lanai was perfect as it was just right for warm air, but still shade. The location was *perfect*. I cannot recommend this property enough!!!

We were so impressed with the management of the VRBO from start to finish. They provided all sorts of recommendations, detailed clearly how different parts of the house worked, and check-in/check-out were so easy. And the unit was much larger in person than we expected! We especially loved the A/C that kept us cool, the beautifully updated bathrooms, and the balcony and deck spaces. Location is fantastic as well. Absolutely no complaints, it was a perfect place to enjoy paradise!

Great location, walking distance to beaches, close drive to restaurants & very informative emails from rental company. Only cons: no hot tub, pool closes at 8pm (would've been nice if it closed at 10pm since everything closes so early) & bedroom doors have slats so zero privacy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nihi Kai 802. The keyless entry made check in/out process very smooth and obviously no-contact. The location is great! The property is right across the ocean, and we saw seals there every day during our stay. We even gave them nicknames and checked on them every time we drove/walked pass them. Poipu beach park is about a 5 minute walk away and we saw lots of turtles there and of course seals again. There are wireless chargers throughout the condo, very convenient. Very well stocked kitchen with new appliances. Smart TV. From the living room lanai, we could see the ocean. During our stay, there were days it was pouring and very windy outside. The view somehow reminded me of some disaster movies :) If this unit is available next time we go back to south Kauai, we would stay here again

Loved this property. Having 2 levels meant that kids could sleep on one level while adults stayed awake upstairs. Carpet on the steps was cozy and nice underfoot. Property felt large with plenty of space to spread out and have our family over (traveling at the same time but staying at a different property)
The only areas for improvement would be:
- The king bed shakes a lot when your partner moves at night. I ended up sleeping on the pull-out couch upstairs for the entire stay.
- Rooms are fairly bright making it hard for napping kiddos to sleep
- There are bugs, as in every unit in Hawaii. They didn't bother us that much but it's something to be aware of — that bugs easily get in with any crumbs or food left out.
All in all, we would return in the future!

The newly remodeled bathrooms are gorgeous, the beds very comfortable, the AC units a welcome relief from the heat. Very close to the beaches, and the on-site pool is a short walk. There’s a beautiful view of the beach from the pool deck. The grounds are beautiful. No complaints, would definitely stay again!

The walk to the beach was a nice, easy, short walk. The pool was great! Shipwreck Point and Beach are less than 2 miles away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property!

Location, location, location!! If you’re looking for a great place to stay that’s walking distance to Poipu Beach, look no further. This 2 bedroom condo has everything you need, plus air conditioning which made our stay enjoyable. We hope to come back to Kauai and rent the same property.

Ten days can get uncomfortable in some vacation rentals, but not this one. So spacious! We were so comfortable with everything that we needed. Beach toys (chairs, ice chest, umbrella, beach shoes) were plentiful and new. Kitchen was well equipped for a few dinners in. Bathrooms were beautiful. And location was great. A nice short walk to the beach and even a sunset from the balcony. Perfect. I hope to be back

Well appointed, furnished and supplied unit that provided a perfect headquarters for our time in Kauai. Great location for enjoying this side of the island, within short walk to the beach and short drive to many great restaurants and other attractions. Excellent communication with the owners, as they provided much appreciated helpful information on enjoying the island. The unit was as advertised but exceeded our expectations in terms of quality of supplies and equipment. It was as if the owners were preparing for their own stay in the unit. We hope to be repeat customers.
