Ck out instructions for a unit that charges out cleaning & represents sanitizing the unit. Our sheets felt sticking & had body odor, the floors had a film of street dirt that Indicated that the unit was cleaned prior to our ck in. I do not recommend staying at unit that is not properly cleaned & sanitized for safe conditions for guest. Check-Out Instructions from owner.
2. Start a load of laundry in the washer with any dirty sheets/towels you have used. Put it on Quick Wash.
3. Make sure you don’t have any dirty dishes remaining.

Overall we had a great time. The unit is set up in a way that is perfect for families - a king size bedroom, and a den with a sleeper sofa for the kids, in addition to the living area. For the price, that set up could not be beat! The unit itself could use a little sprucing up, but was overall fine. One of the pools did not seem to be heated while we were there, but the other one was warm enough to swim in. My kids LOVED exploring the beach here and looking for sea cucumbers - I think they liked that more than some of the days we spent at more swimmable beaches.

Overall the apartment was in great condition and we had no issues parking our vehicle. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The only issue was that the sofa bed mattress was too soft and possibly needs to be replaced. The folder listing attractions and restaurants needs to be updated since some of the listings are no longer in business.

We arrived late at night after 11:00pm. I was concerned that we might have an issue because of our late arrival, and we were traveling with my grandchildren. I reached out through VRBO to communicate with the property management about how we would gain access to our condo and we were given misinformation. When we arrived to the property there was no one available to talk to so we could find out the code for the keypad on the door. I did not receive the code via e-mail. I was on the phone with a VRBO representative from 11:00pm until 12:30am and they were unable to help us, in fact they were telling us that we were going to have to find other accommodations. We finally managed to find mention of an off site property management in an email that was sent while we were on the plane and found a night time security person who was able to get us the code, but we sure got off to a terrible start on our trip that could have been completely averted by just e-mailing the code to us. Other than that the condo was nice and the location was great. The beach was beautiful and the property was well maintained.

This condo was a nice place to stay near the ocean. You can see it from the condo. We saw 2 monk seals resting on the beach nearby throughout our stay. The beds don't look like much but they are very comfortable. I slept great and that is uncommon for me when traveling. The A/C is a huge bonus. Especially if you are not use to the humidity. It is a great location close to the grocery store, restaurants, etc. It is also a unit that is right next to the community center with ping pong & BBQ's which we enjoyed. There were lots of beach chairs and boogie boards. And I liked having a washer & dryer in the unit. The community in general is also very quiet and peaceful. On the downside, There is an adjoining room and the door is near the end of the hallway next to the half bath. I was fine with my husband but if I had been a single person I would have wanted to know about this. If it was in the ad then that is my bad but I don't remember seeing anything about it. Overall, for the price I felt it was a great value and I would stay here again.

Property is conveniently located, with Safeway across the street and about 15 min to Costco and airport. It has all the amenities that are needed, appliances are new, kitchen cabinets are pretty. The views from the property are very beautiful with being able to see the beach and the water up close, and you can seep listening to the sound of waves. About a block away starts a walking trail along the beach, if you want to exercise a bit or rent a bike and ride. If you like to watch sunrise over the ocean, you just need to look out the window or step on the balcony. Note for people that want to swim in the ocean: entrance to the ocean near property has rocks that you need to pass through to get to the swimming part; there are some gaps but not much; I would recommend wearing water shoes with sturdy/rubber soles to protect your feet.

Central location, great communication with owners. Layout of condo is a bit odd - No bathroom near the "master" bedroom. Paper thin walls, so pretty noisy with all the other tenants. Couldn't leave the windows open at night for the wonderful trade winds because of all the noise from the courtyard and the complex game room (which is next to this unit). Apartment dingy overall and needs a face lift. Past ceiling leaks haven't been repaired completely, walls are dirty, cheap furniture is scratched up, and the couch was filthy. It's nice to have AC units in the bedrooms, but they mounted the units right above the beds, so we had to turn them off when sleeping because the cold air blows directly down on you otherwise. A little TLC would go a long way to making this a place worth the price they are charging!

The condo was cute and Aloha. Walk out on this ground unit to tide pools, and property amenities were good, property grounds were pretty. Ocean views all day all night, perfect breeze. Location in Kapaa is perfect for reaching most of the islands best places. Airport is 30 mins, Waimea canyon 45 mins, Nepali reserve 1 hour, north shore 45 minutes. Poipu beach snorkeling 40 minutes, Lydgate state park 10 mins. Condo is small, but has what a small family needs, and is nice. If you are spending your time in the condo instead of being outside, you are missing the action anyways. Mahalo!

We stayed at this little 1 bedroom for two nights. It was just what we needed- a clean, conveniently located landing pad! Sure, it's not the Ritz, but who wants to spend their whole time on Kauai in their hotel room anyway? The bed was comfy, the bathroom roomy, and it had AC. It is part of a bigger condo and is only the master bedroom, with a locked connecting door. But we couldn't hear anything through the door and this didn't bother us at all. The AC was quiet and efficient, and there were also a few fans supplied if needed. There is parking provided. Its just a few minutes (not even) drive to old town, and right on the main drag through town (though set far back, so traffic noise is not an issue), so you can get on the highway and get to your next adventure easily. The host was super communicative, gracious, and just great! End to end, a wonderful experience!

This was our first VRBO and I am impressed. The unit was clean, well stocked and had newer appliances. The location is great and convenient to shopping and dining. The hosts are very responsive. The microwave stopped working Saturday night, I messaged the host. He called me within minutes, and we had a new microwave the next morning. Absolutely awesome!

The overall layout was spacious. Great King bed, nice sized bathroom, and walk-in closet also serving as the mini kitchen. The bathroom exhaust fan was clogged with dust. The folding bistro chairs were flimsy & uncomfortable (reported by another guest), & the kitchen area had no plates (problem also reported in Sept.), no wine or beer openers or glasses. Cheap fixes that would have really increased my overall rating. The pool and waterfront area were nice. The photos of the unit were accurate. However, the unit did not hsve a deck/patio or any view. The condo was centrally located in Kappa. We had two grandparents, two couples and an infant and everyone was comfortable! We had to rent a crib but it fit in the ensuite bathroom of the king bedroom, allowing the baby to sleep undisturbed. They had everything we needed for a great stay.

3rd floor condo with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunrise. Centrally located, easy drive south to Poipu or north to Hanalei.
Sheila, owner of a local housekeeping business, was responsive to any need we had. We had an enjoyable week and would return to this condo again.
The only suggestion I have is that the lounges around the pool are pretty worn, hopefully the overall owners will replace them before we return again.

Although the condo met our basic needs, we were disappointed to find that we were in Bldg B which is behind Bldg A which is oceanfront. The picture online is from the pool in Bldg A, not B. We also wished we had AC and a washer-dryer. The unit has fans, but it was still quite uncomfortable inside. It was also annoying to have the internet going on and off. The unit is centrally located in Kapaa, but because we had to leave windows and doors open at times for cooling at night, there was a lot of road noise from the Kuhio Hwy.

After arriving, the first thing we did was unpack and cool off the made ready for dinner. After we got ourselves acclimated we enjoyed anything and everything, after each excursion we returned to the home base to rest up and refresh ourselves. It was great!

Within walking distance of Kapaa and a major grocery store right across the street. Nice to have a washer/dryer on premises.

Beds are comfortable. The pic of your view is totally spot on. A number of good eats are just down the road. Centrally located for traveling to the North Shore or Lihue and beyond. Overall the property was nice. As pictured, however no homeyness/coziness, which would be nice. Pretty clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, which was important to me. AC, ceiling & standing fans were all great. The condo was supplied with paper towels & tp. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes & small appliances. Only salt & pepper in pantry, which was a little disappointing, we are accustomed to have some pantry items available. So you’ll need to buy all. Left some things, hoping the next renters can use (waters, unopened soda, butter). Beach chairs, umbrella available. Very nice lanai looking out on grassy area, pool & ocean view. Wonderful sunrise views!! The grounds were pretty & well maintained, pool cleaned daily.
Minor issues: The floors were a little dirty, felt sandy & damp the whole time, even with shoes left at front door (May have partly been the humidity); the cooler was flithy, so didn’t use it; parking spot taken one night & loud neighbor, although didn’t let any of those bother us.
Condo was nice & comfortable. Great communication with owner. Dave supplied all information needed and we had no problems with property. The property was pretty quiet, people respected others. The pool was refreshing, Beach area was very nice, with lots of lounge chairs.

The condo was just as listed, and Wendy and Adam were great hosts. They made sure proper accommodations were made while they had the AC repaired, and were very easy to communicate with! They also were incredibly nice and reached out to us regarding a personal item we left behind and worked with us to get the item back! We stayed nine nights and it was the perfect location for exploring the island. With Safeway across the street we were able to prepare meals and pack lunches with ease (get a Safeway card if you don’t already have one). For this Gulf Coast visitors, ABC Stores are like Alvin’s Island stores and there is one across the street, too. The condo had plenty of cooking utensils and equipment. Also beach chairs and beach towel. The bedrooms are small but adequate so we used our luggage as a dresser. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a big plus. The beach is a short stroll away. Like most beaches on the island, be careful before you swim, there was no protective reef here but sunrise was GORGEOUS.

This was our second visit to Kauai. Beautiful island and this rental was the perfect location. Many perks! The rental was clean, well stocked with everything you need for your beach vacation (beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc.) and very spacious. Loved the outdoor balcony plus the fact that it had a designated parking spot. Just a short walk from the rental, there’s a nice beach to take in the sunrise each morning. Staying here you’re located in the center of the island, with many shops and restaurants nearby plus easy access to the North and South sides of the island. Highly recommend the drive, it offers picturesque views of the island with great beaches to explore! Checking in and out was very smooth and we loved the fact that it was very quiet and peaceful here. It you’re looking for a relaxing vacation with a home away from home feel, this is the place to stay!

The property was nice. Beach is nice and proximity to restaurants and shopping was good. My TV did not work in master bedroom, Pam does not fit on stove properly for convection cooking. I asked for a comma Ina rate when I checked in as my daughter-in-law is an islander. No answer to that one plus the list of house keeping I don’t mind doing but I am slightly offended that I am asked.

Forty years ago we came to Kauai Kalani A for our honeymoon. Forty years later and many times in between we returned to Kauai Kalani A to celebrate our 40th. We did this because it is where our life together began. We hadn’t been here in fifteen years and what we found was amazing! The condo had been completely updated. They added in unit washer/dryer, Smart TV, plenty of towels , pool towels, toiletries, cleaning products etc. to make our two week stay the best possible. The most important part of this location is you are literally 25 steps to beach and 10 steps to the pool. The city of Kapaa and neighboring locations have lots of great places to eat or you can just eat in and enjoy your own oceanfront view. Purchase your own groceries at Safeway that is within a block from this location or head into Lihue for Walmart or Costco. If you have any issues Vacassa steps right up to help. Wonderful place to stay.

Great location. Beach chairs and camping chairs were great. AC was very cold but the apartment gets great circulation. Lanai was great and has views of sunrise.

The condo was actually even better than we imagined. Literally just steps from the ocean. Kitchen was stocked for all our cooking needs, there was a big half bathtoom we didnt even know the condo had. The closet on the patio was stocked with lots of toys- 4 beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a dmall coller, 5 boogy boards, snorkels, a couple of bikes. Those really helped us fully enjoy our trip. Plus 2 large ice packs in the freezer to go into the cooler daily. Plenty of towels plus large beach towels. Washing machine and dryer in the unit was awesome. There is no AC, but there were several large fans to keep the breeze flowing from the sliding doors to the porch. Loved the twin beds bedroom for our kids. The view from the balcony was amazing. The location cant be beat. Central on the island to make it easy to go any direction each day. Safeway grocery store, ice cream, shave ice, and restaurants within easy walking distance. Was nice to have a designated parking spot on site to never worry about parking. Check in was super easy and the agent answered random questions i had througout our entire trip, super responsive! Loved this property and would book again on another visit.

Loved staying here! The view and access to the ocean (and the ocean breezes) kept the unit cool even without AC. Loved the proximity to stores, all while still feeling apart from the main highway due to its location. The in-unit washer/dryer were well utilized and much appreciated, and the keyless entry was wonderfully convenient. We took full advantage of the snorkel gear, towels, and boogie boards! Thank you for having us, it made for a great stay!
