I love that the property was right next to the beach and right across the street from the grocery store. I also enjoyed having a washer and dryer in my unit because it made it a lot easier to clean clothes. I would definitely stay again at this location when I come back to Kaua’i

This property is in a very central location with access to shops and groceries. If you're looking for a budget friendly (2 bedroom) option with a full kitchen its perfect. Some things to consider are that there is no AC, there is no laundry, and no towel service (you wash what they give you). Also the unit is right off the road and since there's no AC you need to keep the windows open - you will hear every truck and car and siren throughout the night. We did not sleep at all the entire time we were there.

The property is decent.The grounds are adequate, but a bit on the old side.Air conditioning is only in the bedroom.The view from the patio is phenomenal, a beautiful sight to see every morning.Overall a good place for the price but the laundry room appliances need an update and upgrade for sure.Kauai is a beautiful island and Kapa’a Shores is in the heart of the town.

Overall the condos accommodations met our needs for a central place to be on the island with a full kitchen & 2 bedrooms. Just a be aware that this condo does not have AC and the laundry is about an 8 minute walk. Since the window in the master bedroom needs to be open all night you will hear ALL street traffic for most of the night, including sirens. But if you need a budget friendly place to be, especially for a 2 bedroom this is the spot.

Check in was easy and very clean place. The WiFi worked perfect and having a fridge helped a lot. The location was great and we were close to everything being on the east side. The best part was it was a 2 minute walk to the beach to sit and relax and listen to the waves. I would recommend people to stay here and I would definitely stay again.

Our stay at David's was wonderful. There was a leak in the AC when we first turned it on due to the drastic temperature change, but David immediately called and he and his daughter came by 30 minutes later to install a drip catcher panel. Shampoo/conditioner/soap all provided, as well as some dishware. Location was great, right across the street from Safeway and Wailua shave ice. Would stay here again!

We stay at probably 3-4 rentals per year and I think this is my favorite place we have ever stayed. It was perfect. We had our 6- and 8-year old with us... the ground floor was exactly what they needed so they could easily trek down to the beach, visit the tide pools, or head to the pool (which was the perfect temperature!). The lanai was perfect for watching the sunrise or having meals with a beautiful view and lovely breeze. I was worried about the lack of A/C but as other reviewers noted, the breeze made it super comfortable. We very much appreciated the boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach towels and cooler as well. My kids are already begging to come back next year! :)

It was a decent home base to explore the island. However, the unit and the property itself is basic. The front bedroom window is right by the stairs so that you hear everyone entering or leaving the building. When we arrived, it was not very clean and the towels and linens smelled as if they were washed with a quick wash only.

The unit was clean and the view of the ocean is what made it!! They also supplied plenty of towels for the four of us. I would say it is time to replace the beach chairs as the straps are broken on two of them. The beds were very creaky and not too comfortable and the TV was the size of a computer monitor.It was a great unit and again, the view made it!!

Stayed here for 7 nights in July with my husband and two young kids (ages 4 and 7 years old). Perfect location in Kapaa. Within walking distance to Safeway for groceries, shaved ice, multiple restaurants. Easy driving distance from most places on the island (about 20 min from the Lihue airport, 50 min from the northshore, 35 min from the south shore cities).Condo itself is comfortable with 1 room with a king bed and another small room with two twin beds. It has a sliding door for privacy between the room itself and the living area. Amazing location wise in terms of proximity to the ocean and to the nice pool. My kids loved swimming in the pool everyday.Pros: clean, kitchen was well equipped, dishwasher, fridge, pots, pans, etc. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Very basic spices and cooking oils etc. We bought everything we needed for the week to make breakfasts and lunches at Safeway. Location was ideal. Cons: no air conditioning so it was hot and humid most of the time. Can’t really leave windows open due to the rain and wind. No kid friendly tableware in the kitchen. Not that big of a deal if you’re ok with your children using glass and ceramic plates/glasses but it was nerve-wracking that they might break something. Tried to contact property manager Sheila to ask if an early check-in could be accommodated since our flight was changed and arrived at 9am instead of 1pm and I never heard back from her despite leaving a voicemail with my callback info.

This property was a wonderful home base for our week-long trip. Our family of four, including two teens, spent most mornings watching the sunrise from the lanai and ended evenings playing cards there. We saved money by having breakfast in the unit, packing lunches, and grilling dinner one night. The in-unit laundry (with detergent!) was a great convenience.The property manager was friendly and quickly responded to a minor tub/shower issue.A few minor things to note: some curtains could use cleaning, and the primary bedroom door doesn’t fully close due to the bed placement. The beach isn’t swimmable (which we knew), but being just 10 steps from the sand made up for it.We loved the proximity to Safeway and restaurants, and it was easy to explore both the north and south shores. We walked the nearby path several times and appreciated the central location.While my husband was concerned about the lack of AC, the sea breeze kept us comfortable. As a ground-floor corner unit next to the beach, we occasionally heard people talking outside the bedroom window, but overall, the property was quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time here. I dont think I have ever stayed in a more well stocked vacation rental, or worked with such a kind and accomodating host. The complex was nice and quiet. The location was so convenient, with countlees restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. The fold out sofa bed was very comfortable and much larger and comfortable than most sofa beds. My 6ft teenage boys shared it with no issues. This rental is a great value!

The property is conveniently located for activities on the island. A closet & shade in the condo need repairing.
The windows in the main bedroom & bath would not close all the way causing hot air to enter the rooms.
I appreciated that The island contact was readily available for answers to questions. I enjoyed the use of beach chairs & snorkel equipment

The hotel was clean and had every amenity you could think of: Dishwasher, pots & pans, stove/oven, sink with disposal, a bath and half bath, 2 bedrooms and a beautiful overlooking view of the beach. A/C flowed perfectly throughout the house (hard to find on the islands), really nice sea wall at the beach, and a temperature controlled swimming pool. Had it been for my family we wished we had this room over our own house! Otherwise, perfect walking distance from any store for anything you need; Ross, Longs Drugs, Safeway, and a couple of good restaurants.

My family (2 kids 2 adults) had an amazing stay here. Beautiful home, right next to the beach. Kids had fun exploring the critters in the tide pools. It was warm in July but we were fine with the fans. The place had all the creature comforts we needed to have an amazing 8 day vacay. Fun rec room with ping pong too. Thank you!

Great communication feom start to.finish from Wendy. The condo is clean, ac is cold, the lanai over the pool is convenient with children, and in room washer/ dryer is a big help with salt water clothing. The master bed was very comfortable and would recommend when using the queen sleeper to lay it down on the ground. The overall wakable location to Starbucks, Shave Ice, a grocery, local food, the beach, and more was great with children and the central location on the island made getting around a breeze. Will be staying here in the future and recommend to everyone!

This was my 4th time on the property, 3rd time booking through this host, and 1st time in this particular unit. The AC was helpful to cool the room when fans and windows weren’t sufficient. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were a handful of dishes and silverware. The room seemed larger to me in person than in the images; I was very comfortable and happy with it. There is nothing like watching the sunrise on the beach right in front of the property. The location is perfect with easy access to Kapaa Town and Lihue, and being directly across the street from a grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurant. I continue to recommend this property to anyone I know traveling to Kauai and will definitely be back!

Pros-Check in/out was super easy and seamless. -Welcome basket with local goodies that was a pleasant surprise. -The cross winds at night cooled the place down and was more than comfortable. -Staff was helpful and welcoming. -Rec room on the property that can be used. -Beach supplies for family -Stainless steel and glass oven safe cooking ware. Appreciated because better for health.-Location is walkable to our favorite health store Papaya Cons-Bedroom door with the queen bed does not close and it is directly across from the bathroom so there is no privacy if you have more people staying. -Washer smelled mildewy and we had to wipe several time to clean the gunk off-Washer also smelled of strong laundry detergent. Scent was transferred to our clothes so clothes did not smell clean. I highly recommend switching to fragrance free, color free products. It is better for eczema sensitive clients and better for environment.

Very hot inside.Couldn’t open lanai door because screen wouldn’t open or shut.Carpet n floors were filthy turned our feet black.Wrote them about screen doors and they said if I would of told them sooner they would of sent maintenance.Well the manager and housekeeping should of inspected the unit before guess arrived.Wont be using Kauai Kahuna again

Overall excellent property. It was clean, had everything we needed and was steps from the ocean. The location was incredibly convenient, checkin and communication were both very efficient and easy. This is a very well-managed property with insight care who clearly take pride in the property and the service they provide. I will say that the ocean breezes and fans kept us mostly okay at night in July! But, if being a little warm at night is a deal breaker for you—consider that there is no AC. Manageable for us and, we felt, a great trade off for us given the ocean-side location. Also, the 2nd bedroom is actually an extension of the sitting area with a large frosted glass pocket door (or Shoji door). This worked great for our teen and 10 year old but might not have been enough privacy for older kids/more adults. Again, overall an excellent property and stay!

We took a family vacation for a week and had an excellent stay. The condo was extremely clean and well stocked. Dishwasher, washer and dryer were extremely help since we packed light. Overall condition of the property was excellent. Our kids utilized the game room and pool. Access to the ocean was also very nice. We also used the grilling area and had a wonderful time. I would definitely stay here again!
