The room was clean. Towels had a smell but that might be whatever soap is used. Checking in and out was seamless. Didn't realize until after we got there that we couldn't get towels from the front desk because all of the condos aren't owned by the same company. Parking was easy and never an issue. Location on the island was wonderful. Overall we had a nice stay!

Room could have been cleaner and the sheets on the bed did not fit. For 10 day stay there should have been a change of sheets and more towels. My opinion - the room needs upgrading.Other than that the room was good. The view was outstanding and the property was beautiful

The condo was in a great location and walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace and restaurants. The condo was clean and had supplies to use at the beach. The pool and pool bar was a nice plus. The communication with the host was easy and quick. I highly recommend.

What a great spot! Perfect mix of quiet and close to things on the property. The lanai and beach view is amazing. The hot tub and pool are right next to the room but never did I hear any noise or commotion. There definitely were roosters and they will make noise but this is not a problem with the property, it's a feature of the entire island. I loved that there were multiple shops (gifts/art/coffee/desserts/foods) and the ABC store close by. Also loved the Tuesday farmer's market right next to the property as well. The unit is fantastic. Clean and enough storage. AC works great. It really was a nice refuge the day I wasn't feeling well. Check in/entry is great with just the simple 4-digit code. I felt really safe and relaxed at this place. Honestly would book the same exact one on my next trip to Kauai!

Working with the team was great, very kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for kids. View was amazing. Best location. The pool is perfect and it is so close to the beach for watching sunsets. Communication was easy with the property manager and they were very accommodating and answered quickly. First night my daughter didn't have a blanket for the pull out bed and they got us one quickly the next morning. (We got in super late otherwise I think they would've gotten us one that same day) Things to note and be aware of: - even though it's in a hotel type setting, there is not any services throughout the stay (towel refresh, cleaning, etc) getting new towels was available upon request but it is an exchange so you have to have all of your towels ready for pickup. - there is a bit of an older furniture smell when you first walk in. It went away as the week went on but initially it was a bit strong. - the shower isn't super hot water but it wasn't terrible

Over all it was a nice place. Lots of things around the area. Provided us with all the amenities needed. Easy check in and check out! Only thing the fan didn’t turn on only the light since the remote for the fan wasn’t working but it wasn’t a big deal.

A perfect spot overlooking the ocean from the 3rd floor with a nice little lanai. A good breeze comes through at times to help the AC (which was intermittent). The room is small, but clean and efficient. Just what we wanted. The bed is comfortable and spacious. Microwave, streaming TV, mini fridge, room safe, plates, utensils, etc. shower worked well. Close to Lava Lava restaurant and Coconut Marketplace. Responsive host. Will definitely re-book.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Kauai and would definitely consider staying here again. The location was excellent, with plenty of nearby shops, restaurants, and options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it easy and convenient to enjoy the area.The unit itself was comfortable and had a beautiful ocean-view setting. During our stay, the air conditioner stopped working, but the host was very responsive and had it repaired within two days. We appreciated the quick communication and effort to resolve the issue. There were also extra fans available, which helped while the repair was being completed.A couple of minor improvements could make the stay even better. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working and could use repair. It would also be helpful to provide a mop, as the oceanfront environment can lead to sand and dirt being tracked in, and we like to keep the property clean and well cared for during our stay. We would also appreciate having additional towels available, especially since there is no washer and dryer unit in the room. If guests do not book directly through Islander on the Beach, having an extra set of sheets available would be a nice addition as well.The rooms are beginning to show their age and could benefit from some updates and freshening up, but overall the property was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable.Overall, we would rate our experience 4.5 out of 5 stars. We had a great time and would happily return in the future.

Check-in was smooth as well as check-out. List of easy instructions to follow, nice little gift, and quick responses from staff members about any issue. My family and I ran into a little issue at night, and they were quick to respond and send someone as soon as they could to resolve the problem. I would hands down book this spot again when I go back.

Room was not clean on move-in. Dirty floor and dust everywhere. There was no laundry available onsite. If you need clean towels you have an additional 100 charge which seems very extreme to us.

Wonderful stay in Kauai! The location was perfect, right on the beach with amazing ocean views from the balcony. The grounds and condo were beautiful, quiet, and very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. We loved being within walking distance to stores and restaurants, and appreciated the easy check-in/check-out, great amenities, and plenty of parking. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday, and we would definitely stay here again!

We did not use either pools, but they looked pleasant. The Coconut market and Longs Drugs were very near by, convenient. It was nice not to have to drive for necessary items. We enjoyed the Farmers Market!

Heather and Khaled's place is amazing. Everything about it was perfect. And the box of chocolates was a very special treat! The condo was spotless, the amenities were great, the view from the lanai was wonderful. It was a very comfortable place to stay for our first trip to Kauai. We had so much fun exploring the island, and walking on the beach and the walking path. The market across the street and other shops and restaurants were so close, it was great to be able to walk a couple minutes for food, etc. Heather and Khaled were awesome hosts, very helpful with recommendations, very responsive, and so pleasant to message back and forth with. They are great!

Great location! The ground unit made it a breeze to walk to the ocean for our morning coffee a s evening walks. It’s very close to the pool area, which has a great little happy hour and outdoor bar. This condo worked well for us as a couple that was part of a larger group. It is close to the beach and you can see the ocean from the lanai. Loved having beach towels and beach chairs. The condo was perfect for me and my wife. The view is fantastic! We would like to stay there again when we return to Kauai. Great location for local eateries and central to both south and north island. Having beach chairs and umbrella was so convenient. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean and perfect temperatures. Location was great but can definitely tell this is an old hotel room. Not much of a kitchen to do anything. Would’ve been nice to have more than one dishrag and towel. Would recommend a larger refrigerator that has a freezer like the other rooms had. For those checking in at night like we did would’ve been nice to have a map of the property instead of going building to building with poorly lit signs. Overall was good, but not worth the money being charged for this room.

We could not recommend staying here at Islander on the Beach any more. Our room was very clean upon arrival. The balcony has a beautiful view of the ocean and the unit was stocked with anything we possibly could need. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and other various things like knives and cutting boards to be able to make small meals. They also provide 2 beach chairs and 4 beach towels which was perfect to use at beaches throughout the island. The property also has plenty of chairs at the beach and pool. The pool on property is never too crowded and we loved going to the pool's tiki bar tiki bar for happy hour (3-6pm). You're walking distance from Lava Lava Beach Club for dinner and we often walked through the parking lot to the Coconut Marketplace for food (there's a few great options if you're not wanting to cook or drive somewhere) or the ABC Store. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Kauai!

We had an excellent stay at this VRBO! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short, easy walk to the beach, which made it so convenient to go back and forth throughout the day. It was also easy drive to Princeville, Lihue, and Poipu. We especially appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella, cooler provided. It made our time exploring other beaches on Kauai so much more enjoyable.Another huge plus was being within walking distance to Coconut Marketplace and the ABC Store. There were so many great food options nearby, whether we wanted something quick and casual or a more relaxed meal.Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay—comfortable, well-located, and thoughtfully equipped. We would absolutely come back!

The view from the unit is nice, and the unit itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are a few things to note about this rental. First, there is no laundry for you to use on the property. You would have to go to a laundry mat nearby. The listing should be updated, as this actually did cause me some trouble during my stay. Second, there are chickens on the property (common in Hawaii), and the rooster crowed from about 5 to 7am every morning. If you want to get up and enjoy the sunrise (beautiful from the beach here), you may not mind it. If you're not a morning person, you may want to consider other options.

We stayed at this property for seven days in early April. The unit was clean and everything worked well. Communication with the host was excellent and they were very responsive to our questions. We rarely needed the AC since the weather was fairly cool that week, and it was so peaceful sleeping with the door open at night, I had my best week of sleep in months. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony at sunrise every morning--delightful! There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and the Coconut Marketplace is a great resource. Please note the unit's description online--it is accurate--there is a kitchenette (not a full kitchen), and although it sleeps two it is a studio not a one-bedroom unit. Strongly recommend and we hope to be back.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was supplied exactly as advertised. The bed was very comfortable however the sheets probably need updating as the bottom sheet wouldnt stay on. The room was clean for the most part but could use a deeper clean around the edges.
We loved walking the trail and the sunrise at the beach each morning. Location is very handy to all your needs with Coconut Market next door. There is also Imau Coffee Roaster very close for friendly morning brew! Lava Lava was great for dinner by the beach as well. Would we stay again? Sure!!!
