Summary:
Claim the corner lanai at sunrise and let the uninterrupted Pacific view make the case for a slower morning. Islander on the Beach 354, a top-floor corner studio in the oceanfront Niihau Building, sleeps up to three across two beds, with air conditioning and a kitchenette for easy snacks between outings. The sand, beachside pool, and hot tub are close enough to give the day a simple shape: swim, rinse off, find a coffee or dinner at Coconut Marketplace, then return to the view. When you want to venture out, Kapaa and Wailua are ready with local food, river time, and the coast path. It is a lovely choice for a couple, a mom-and-me trip, or friends who want Kauai's oceanfront ease and a top-floor corner all their own.

The Space:
The top-floor corner position brings extra light and a broad, unobstructed Pacific outlook to this 372-square-foot studio. Two beds sleep up to three, and the private lanai is made for coffee, reading, and watching the water change through the day. A kitchenette with a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, plus air conditioning and a full bath, keeps the stay easy.

Guest Access:
Guests at Islander on the Beach have access to the shared outdoor pool, hot tub, BBQ grill area, and beach access. The resort grounds provide easy outdoor space to relax between beach outings.

The Neighborhood:
A top-floor corner base at Islander on the Beach makes it easy to alternate between a quiet lanai morning and whatever sounds good next. Coconut Marketplace is nearby on foot for a coffee, casual plate lunch, or supplies. The Ke Ala Hele Makalae coastal path is close for an ocean-side bike ride, while Wailua River opens up an option for kayaking and waterfall-country drives. Kapaa town has local cafés and shops a short drive away. This is a handy spot for small groups who value quick access to the coast and a few easy choices nearby.

Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

Other Things to Note:
This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations. The pool and spa will temporarily be closed from 10/26-11/04 for major repairs.

Interaction with Guests:
Our local Heavenly Vacations Kauai team is just a call or message away throughout your stay. The grounds were beautiful. The unit was clean, cool and close to the pool. Having a small lanai to sit out and listen to the waves at the end of the day was a wonderful perk. The pool area was well maintained, the water warm and the hot tub a lovely addition as the night cooled. The condo was very close to a small shopping area with restaurants, an ABC store and most importantly the Lava Lava Beach Club with live music before bed. We were very satisfied with the property, the host, and the grounds and will look to rent from again when we next venture to Kauai.

This is a superb property! One of the very best units at Aston Islands, On The Beach, which is a very nice complex. This one is directly on the ocean, top floor, call the unit which means an extra window facing south with a whole bunch of different viewers, including “ a close up (but never noisy) seen at lava lava beach, restaurant and bar, which is the next property over to the south. The sound of waves is constant and you hear nothing from the bar. This is just a great place to stay. Late 90% of the units in On The Beach. It desperately needs kitchen renovated getting rid of the ridiculous arms, which take up half the kitchen space all over this property and installing a proper size sink and fridge. These things are miserable and depressing so it really doesn’t deserve five stars, but I’mgiving it anyway because the location is so good.

The condo at the Aston Islander on the Beach is beautiful. When we arrived, the air conditioning kept it pleasantly cool. Everything is very clean; there are glasses, cups, and plates for four people, plenty of towels in all sizes, and even beach towels. The balcony with its high chairs and high table is especially nice, offering a beautiful view of the ocean. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is well-equipped (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer). Cleaning supplies for the kitchen and bathroom, as well as toilet paper and paper towels, are also provided. Parking Lot is always available and a few steps away is the Marketplace with shops and restaurants. Perfect place for perfect holidays!

This condo worked out perfectly for our family of three. It was very clean, well stocked, and most of all had a great view of the ocean! We found it to be centrally located for the activities we had planned. The resort grounds and pool area are beautifully landscaped with many different types of plants and flowers. This has definitely set the bar high for the other places we stay on the other islands of our Hawaii trip.

The condo is a simple “hotel room” style studio, but it was perfect for us. And the Location was amazing! Both the beachfront location (with amazing ocean views and listening to the waves from the lanai!), and also the location in Kapaa and right behind the Coconut Marketplace - it was fantastic! I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a hotel style condo with a truly great location!

This was our second time staying in this unit and we already booked for next year. The location is fantastic and centrally located to both ends of the island. The view is amazing, the pool and hot tub are clean and refreshing, and the grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The Coconut Market Place is next to the Islander and there are a few great restaurants on the property.

Wonderful location - steps from the beach, excellent view. Appreciated the included parking pass. Would recommend that the listing also note that the property also has 2 portable coolers and 2 beach chairs; if it's listed, I missed it, and rented it from a local shop

Exactly what we were looking for. To be able to walk over to Lava Lava and have the beach 50 feet away is invaluable. We will be back.

This charming studio met our needs quite nicely. It is a walk up...so if you struggle with stairs keep looking! Plentiful linens provided so we did not need to take advantage of the towel exchange. There is a small farmer's market a couple of days a week in the parking lot of the Coconut marketplace, and the central location made it an easy drive to other parts of the island. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This property was exactly what was depicted in the ad. The location was incredible, the view of the sunrise every morning spectacular and priced well.

Best condo I’ve ever rented. It was overlooking the beach, had a very comfortable bed and cute lanai where we had our coffee and many of our meals. Beautiful grounds too!

Insider tips

Good to know at Islander on the Beach

  • Right out the back door, the paved coastal path runs along the ocean for miles; walk it in the early morning or after dark, or rent a bike nearby and ride it.
  • Just after dawn, carry your coffee to the lounge chairs on the sand and watch the sun rise over the water; Hawaiian monk seals often doze on this stretch of beach.
  • In the late afternoon, the tiki bar beside the pool pours happy hour drinks, and the hot tub next to it turns into a friendly spot to swap stories about the day's adventures.
