Beautiful development in an excellent location; condo was very spacious; AC was wonderful!!! (many Hawaii renters will say you don't need AC because of trade winds, etc, NOT TRUE unless you like to sleep in a warm humid environment); condo was well stocked and had a great layout.Kauai Vacation Rentals was an exceptional host/manager, excellent communication and extremely responsive to any needs.Only small downsides to this development we experienced were the pool and hot tub were only open 9am - 9pm so a morning swim or late hot tub was not available; and WIFI was pretty weak, but I should have let Kauai Vacation Rentals know and they probably would have had someone out there right away.I would definitely recommend renting in this development again! The only feedback I have was that check in is at 4pm which is also when the office closes, making communication slow and check in questions were unanswered for longer periods of time. The house was everything pictured and more. We absolutely loved the beautiful pool, the spacious house, and its location on the North Shore. My kids kept begging us to buy it! The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed including laundry machines, beach towels, and kitchen appliances including rice cooker and coffee grinder. The filtered water from the fridge was much better tasting than the tap water, too.

At approximately 300 per night, plus a 49 Property Damage Protection fee paid in advance, I expected a well maintained condo. Instead, I found a property with significant deferred maintenance.I documented numerous issues with photographs, including a nonworking toaster oven, a coffee maker with a rusted warming plate, a malfunctioning dishwasher, exterior refrigerator, and dryer, and a very basic replacement washing machine.As well, the primary bedroom smoke detector had been removed. Several windows would not open/function, many blinds were broken, and although an air conditioner is installed, guests cannot use it. Because the front door has no screen cross ventilation was not possible.There were ants in the kitchen, dining area, and primary bathroom despite a strong odor consistent with recent ant treatment. There were holes in the walls and printed notices acknowledging broken windows and blinds. The garage door was extremely noisy, the keypad did not work, and I was directed back and forth between the housekeeper and owner regarding maintenance issues.The location is excellent, and the owner was pleasant. However, communication about maintenance issues was slow. The community jacuzzi was also unavailable during my stay despite being advertised as an amenity.Overall, the property's condition did not match the price I paid, and I would choose another rental next time.

The condo was beautiful and clean. I feel the cleaning fee process could be better-you have to leave cash in the box, and 500 seems a lot for a 3 night stay. Also, the property was very humid. We were uncomfortable sleeping at 73-74 degrees at night. They had a lock on the thermostat. He did come on day 2 and turn it downy to 72, which helped some. Overall, I would probably find another place in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Princeville! The condo was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the layout made it an ideal place for a family vacation.The kitchen was especially well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and snacks, which was a huge plus. We also loved how close the pool was—just a short walk through the back of the unit, making it incredibly convenient.The Nihilani community was peaceful, quiet, and very family-friendly. We met several other guests during our stay, and everyone was warm and welcoming. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.The host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating with an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Princeville.

My family stayed at this property for 10 days in early June, and it was very comfortable for us. WiFi and AC worked well, beds were comfortable, and we found the complex to be quiet and well-maintained. While a few things could use updating and/or repairs, it was decorated nicely and didn’t feel dated. We appreciated having plentiful TP, detergent pods, shampoo, bandaids, sunblock, as well as some pantry staples, which cut down on our shopping bill. There were also lots of beach essentials for our use in the garage: beach chairs, an umbrella, toys, fins, snorkels, etc. No body boards, but we rented some fairly cheaply from a place in Hanalei. We would stay here again.A few things we wished were better:-Several burned out lightbulbs - we had maintenance come out to replace a closet light, and I replaced others myself with lightbulbs I found there.-Broken microwave over the stove. They provided another microwave on the counter for our use, but that limited our counter space.-Toaster only sometimes worked.-All the pots and pans (except one) were the kind with the nonstick coating that was starting to peel and break down. They didn’t seem safe to us to use, so we cooked everything in one stainless steel pot. -Pocket doors in upstairs jack-and-Jill bath did not have working locks.-One window in twin bedroom wasn’t working properly. All these things were just inconvenient, and we didn’t contact property management except for the closet light.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Princeville, Kauai. The condo was spacious, exceptionally clean, and very well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. The large bathrooms and generous closet space were especially appreciated, making it perfect for our family of four adults.The location was excellent, with easy access to the pool area and convenient proximity to everything we wanted to do on the North Shore. The host was wonderful to work with—responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We were especially grateful for the flexibility with an early check-in and late check-out, which made our travel days much less stressful.We also loved the atmosphere of the Nihilani community. It felt very family-oriented, and the guests we met during our stay were all friendly and welcoming. This is beyond a 5 star place to stay!! First of all Dhivya was AMAZING to work with!! She was super responsive and helpful! This was our first time to Kauai. She sent us a very detailed email with things broke down into beaches, places to eat, hikes to do..and many other things. It was so helpful! The condo was very clean and well stocked! The beds were comfortable and the AC helped so much after a long hot day! The property was beautiful and quiet! We have stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this was by far the best place we have stayed..not just for the nice condo, but for all of the extra things that Dhivya thought of to make the vacation even more memorable!! We loved it so much and we will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing stay at this property in Kauai. The home was beautiful, clean, spacious, and very relaxing for our family. We especially enjoyed the chocolate waiting for us when we arrived — such a thoughtful touch. The snorkeling gear and beach chairs were also greatly appreciated and made exploring the island much easier and more enjoyable.The location is amazing — close to 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay and surrounded by a very upscale, beautiful area. There were also great food trucks nearby, and it was an excellent location for exploring the Na Pali Coast and the north shore of Kauai. Everything was well maintained and exactly as described. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Kauai.

This rental was amazing! We stayed for a week, and despite a very late check-in and very early checkout, everything went smoothly. Communication was excellent the entire time.There were 7 adults in our group, and the layout worked well. Each couple had their own room, plus there was a smaller extra room with a trundle bed. The master bedroom was especially impressive, and the other bedrooms were a great size. The smaller room didn’t have a closet or direct bathroom access, but it still worked fine for our group.The house was well stocked with kitchen essentials, plus some condiments and spices, which was a nice surprise. There were also beach toys in the garage that would be great for families.The outdoor spaces were beautiful, with a lovely lanai on the main floor and two more upstairs. The pool area was a short walk away and had a great BBQ setup with tables and chairs.The grounds were immaculate, and we loved all the birds that visited each day. The location was quiet and peaceful, while still being close to a small grocery store, shops, and beaches.We would definitely stay here again!

Pictures do not do this place justice! It is aesthetically stunning, tasteful, and beautiful, a real sanctuary and perfect home base. We rode bikes to Hideaways and Pu'u Poa Beach to swim with turtles and Foodland is also very close and convenient. There are also several food trucks within walking distance. Princeville is perfectly located in between Kilauea and Hanalei. Andrea is a gem of a hostess. Very grateful to find this place. MAHALO

This has to be the worst vacation rental we have ever stayed in. We faced many issues as soon as we entered in the property.* Jacn n Jill Bathroom lock was non functional creating privacy issues.* Fan was not working in one room.* Bathroom window was almost rotten(possible mold).* Towels were having weird smell.* Coffee machine was so dirty that looked never been washed.* Pans had grease on then which looked like was not washed.* Patio screen was completely torn, bugs could easily come inside.* Some of the blinds in the living room/near main door were broken/missing adding privacy concerns* Hair dryer was gross(very dirty and sticky)* Dining chairs had lots of white stains* bed frame was wobling and has lots of noise* Many furnitures had visible dust layer* Overall hygiene was not maintained* one toilet started overflowing on the last day which had to be plunged.* We initially requested to fix the lock and fan but repairs were made next day but still the lock was not fixed.Above are the most pressing issues along with other minors ones.We are extremely dissapointed with the stay and would never book with vacation reality ever.

The home was lovely. Very well equipped with sports, beach, and pool equipment. Even three bikes and helmets to use. Great TV plan so we could easily follow stateside Stanley Cup playoffs. Community pool was lovely with several BBQ grillls and kitchen area. Andrea was fabulous to deal with on everything.
