We loved our stay at The Cliffs! The views and location are outstanding. The condo was comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 6, as long as only 2 people were in the kitchen at a time. We will definitely return to the Cliffs.Make sure you double check spam/junk mail. Our code to get into the facility was buried deeply into my junk folder, even though the rest of the correspondence came through fine. We had a late evening arrival and though the daytime front desk were very helpful, the evening lady on duty didn’t help at all. There was an emergency number she could have pointed us to and saved us a lot of hassle. I also recommend bringing/buying paper products like paper towel and maybe plates. The dishwasher was not working and 6 people we spent more time than we’d like washing dishes.These small things did not by any means ruin our wonderful experience. Kaua’i is beautiful and this company does a good job if you communicate our needs.

This was our 2nd time staying at Charlene and Roger’s unit and we always enjoy the fabulous accommodations and spectacular views from the lanai. It’s comfortable, clean and Charlene and Roger are excellent hosts who pay attention to details to ensure your stay is top notch. We feel the north shore is the best place to stay on the island in the summer time because there are the most beautiful beaches, hikes and the town of Hanalei is lovely. We will keep coming to Kauai and book with Charlene and Roger again I am sure.

Great location in Princeville and great location within The Cliffs, building 9 with great views. Only negative is that a/c units only cool bedrooms, so at times condo still very stuffy. Also understand that island is hot and humid, but bathroom vents were covered in mold/mildew and main bedroom a/c unit smelled like it needed servicing. Plus bathroom towel hook was hanging precariously off the wall. Overall a great place to stay though.

Jeff's condo was very comfortable for our first family vacation to Kauai and the Cliffs at Princeville. His listing is accurate. Amenities in the condo were very cozy. The location of this unit is great - lots of yard space, and a quick walk to the pool and recreational areas with ample parking. Everything was clean and laundered, and the space itself was set up in a way that optimizes the space. He left great instructions, and check-in was a breeze.

The Cliffs at Princeville is in a stunning location with a very manicured feel. Reception staff super friendly and helpful. Nice pool and visiting food trucks. The actual apartment was disappointing. It appeared on the website to have been newly renovated when in fact it had some newer furniture. Original old kitchen with newer electrical items which were badly fitted leaving unhygienic gaps and chipped tiles. Dirty taps and sink. Kitchen well stocked albeit with old items. Bathrooms both original and very dirty, bath and shower tiles clearly not been cleaned properly for a long time. Bath taps loose, filthy or no plugs, dirty doors, dirty baths, dirty shower heads, very unpleasant. Filthy floors, the soles of my feet were black after one hour walking on the floor. No mop provided. I cleaned the kitchen sink a little especially around the taps but overall cleanliness not great. I’ve taken some photos if required. Sofa bed in living room extremely uncomfortable but the bed in the bedroom very comfortable.filthy stained bedroom rug. Sheets and towels all clean. Washing machine and tumble drier great. Wouldn’t stay here again but would stay at The Cliffs again, their own rentals are cheaper than this one and I understand some now have new bathrooms.

Part of what I love about VRBO and other companies like it is the more personal nature of the experience. A property like the Cliffs has a much more corporate feel which has its pluses and minuses. The condo was very clean and outfitted with needed supplies and many nice-to-haves including beach gear. The kitchen amenities could use a review—very little microwave safe dishes (despite there being a microwave), a toaster that’s on its last days, lack of storage containers. The ice maker is a welcome plus! The biggest downfall of this condo is the sleeper sofa, which is honestly not appropriate for sleeping. In my opinion it should be considered for replacement but definitely not offered as a viable sleeping option. Overall the condo was a good fit for us and we’d consider staying at this location again on a future visit to the Garden Island!

Roger and Charlene were very attentive and helpful, so they were great. It is a great location in Princeville an the beds were comfortable. The property is definitely older an a little run down. The pool is small and when we were there the pool water was cloudy so we didn't use it. It was definitely hard not having AC, not because it was too hot at night, but because you have to leave you windows open so it stays cool and the roosters are so loud starting around 1am most nights. It was hard to get a good night sleep because of that.

Expected more than what the unit delivered. All furniture was dingy & miserably uncomfortable. Pictures are deceiving. Cleanliness questionable, first night pulled the sheets back and found a glob of matted hair complained & felt no one really cared. The cliff front office staff not helpful asked about questions about shuffle board & putting green just got a woman who pointed over there but neglected to tell where the equipment was sports stored or how to sign up for it? So un helpful! The pool area terrible dirty dusty decking all around and pool water super cloudy & disgusting. All the grounds looked unkept definitely not what we expected. We have stayed at many places in Kauai over the past 20 years and we will not return to the Cliffs.

Property us beautiful. Whether u decide to go down to south shore or stay north, there are things to do, places to eat. Property has foud trucks, breakfast and dinner some days. Waking up to the ocean was amazing. Onky reason i gave this 4 star, black ants invaded the kitchen despite spray by staff. The dryer stopped working but clitges dry fast if u hang. There is no AC, but fans work well. It gets full do u may have to park a little way from ur unit. Bbq units on Property which was great. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. There are some activities offered at Rec too.

Had a great stay! The size and layout was perfect for six adults. Loved the views and watching sunsets from the lanai or out on the vast lawn. We also enjoyed using the property's pool, tennis court, and bike rentals.Air conditioning throughout would have been nice. I suggest using ear plugs in order to sleep with the doors open and block out the noise from roosters who began crowing way before sunrise. Putting the portable fan near the window also helped to mask the noise.

We loved this condo at The Cliffs for our stay on the north shore! Great location for spending time in Princeville and Hanalei. We had plenty of space for two adults and our two kids (16 and 11). The condo is two short outdoor flights up with no elevator, but not difficult at all. The location in The Cliffs resort is the best in my opinion and we had an amazing view of the ocean. We rarely saw any other guests near our building and i love that it was on the top floor at the end of the building, so no one was staying above us or on one side. Very quiet (except the roosters in the early morning...use the provided fans for white noise!)! We appreciated all the helpful information and recommendations provided by the hosts ahead of our stay. We also were so happy to have access to beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and coolers for the beach (located in closet of primary bedroom). So helpful! And, although I was skeptical that the tradewinds would provide enough of a breeze to make no A/C a non-issue, it actually was incredibly comfortable at all times! Loved having a breeze blowing through the condo! We not only enjoyed this condo, we also enjoyed the AMAZING pool area, basketball courts, shuffleboard and pickleball! I would highly recommend and would stay again with no hesitation if we come back!

First of all they ask that you take off your shoes while inside the unit however the floor was so dirty it turned our feet black. The door in the bedroom was jammed and didn’t open. The washer and dryer were so old I was afraid they would break down. The king bed was so old and lumpy made for a horrible nights sleep. The kitchen cabinets were filthy looked like they hadn’t been washed down same with the drawers.

The condo was very spacious and extremely well equipped for all our needs, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and beach activities. We really enjoyed our stay at The Cliffs. The hosts were excellent about communicating with us before we arrived and while we were staying at the property. Check-in at the front desk was very easy. The amenities at the property are wonderful - with a beautiful pool and spa area and a bluff with chairs overlooking the ocean. There were also food trucks there often - though we didn’t try them. The property itself was just what we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed - though we didn’t cook at the condo. We also really appreciated having a washer and dryer in the condo to wash clothes after muddy hikes or a day at the beach. Parking was easy and available right in front of the condo. There were also beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards for us to use. I would definitely stay here again.

We were a family of 3, our son being 19. It was also our (at least for my husband and I) fourth time to Kauai, but our first time taking a place in Princeville. The unit was clean and comfortable, complete with everything you could possible need. The views were outstanding, the pool was never crowded; I was able to get a 45 minute lap swim in one morning without any trouble. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Communication every step of the way was excellent. Was very cooperative in allowing for an early check-in.This unit did not have AC, but we were not uncomfortable at all. Trust and believe, if the loft BR where my son slept was in any way hot, I’d have heard about it. The ceiling fans were very effective, there were additional fans available and we had a nice cross breeze. There were also a few food trucks in for convenience: A breakfast truck, brick oven pizza truck, and a Mexican food truck. There was also an on sight farmers market one morning and several other events throughout the week. Unit had boogie boards, a cooler, beach chairs, towels etc. complex had both pedal and e bike rentals via an app, tennis courts, the pool, and a small fitness room. I found it was quite nice to get up early and walk to Sealodge Beach, Queen’s Bath and Wyllie’s/Anini Beach. All within walking distance if you also feel good enough to do some short steep hikes. I’m 58 in reasonably good shape and had no problems. Thanks for the great stay!

This is a great location. We have stayed at the cliffs twice now. The room itself is older and a little rundown, but the location in the amenities of the resort make up for it. Things were clean, the bed was soft- a memory foam mattress. Good pillows. I wish this unit would’ve had some minimum spices. We bought salt and pepper and oil and left it, but there was none. Appreciated the beach chairs. Remember, there’s no air conditioning that they had good fans in the rooms.
