We had the best time on our family vacation! Spending time with our daughter and son in law in this beautiful place was very memorable. I'd definitely rent this unit again!
The unit was well appointed with everything you'd need in the kitchen, more than any other place I've rented, beach supplies, laundry amenities, beach & pool towels, ice chests, etc. They even provided binoculars. I saw a whale while having my morning coffee near the hammock which is right in front of the building.The beds were super comfortable and there are extra linens if needed. There is also books and movies which we enjoyed. The owner was very responsive and he updated us on things before our arrival that he thought we should know about. Looking forward to a return visit!

My family loved our stay at Charlene and Roger's rental at the Cliffs in Princeville! It was perfect and we loved the views of the ocean right out the back patio! It was exactly what we expected based on the listing description and everything was in good order. We especially liked how there were boogie boards, beach chairs and some snorkel equipment and other beach toys available for our kids. Even I did some boogie boarding, haha! Our kids loved the relative privacy of the loft where they slept and the roosters kept us from sleeping in too late so we could hit the beaches!

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful property for nine nights. The condo was very nice and comfortable, we enjoyed the view from our lanai each morning. Plenty of space. There was a mechanical issue with the dishwasher. However, Roger kept us informed on the repair. The owners even gave us a discounted daily rate because the dishwasher wasn’t working. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness.
The property the condo is located on has everything you need, including an adult only hot tub. The location provides easy access to Hanalei bay and downtown Princeville.
We enjoyed the condo and our vacation very much and would recommend anyone to stay in this beautiful condo.

Lovely condo, with amazing views of the ocean, sunsets and sunrises. The condo is fully furnished and has equipment (boogie boards, chairs, etc.) to take to the beach, which we greatly enjoyed. Charlene and Roger are excellent at communicating, and they sent an email ahead of time with information about the condo, the resort and fun activities to consider booking ahead of time - this was very helpful!

We first stayed in Charlene and Roger's Hale last year and we became hooked. It is a pristine and beautiful top floor condo with unbelievable views. The unit has everything you could possibly want and the beds are very comfortable. This was our second stay and we will most assuredly be back next year. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the pools, beach, farmer's markets and just chilling in the Hale. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Beautiful views! Rolling green overlooking the ocean. Whales breaching! Birds and geese hanging around. Quiet and serene. Well stocked kitchen and beach equipment. Comfortable beds. We've stayed at several different condos at the Cliffs and this is by far our favorite. It has an unobstructed ocean view, a well-stocked kitchen and very comfortable sofas and beds. The Master shower was well-equipped with grab bars and places to store toiletries. Hosts were also very accommodating, and even provided a mid-stay cleaning as we were there for 4 weeks.
The Cliffs has regular food trucks and there are stores and restaurants nearby. The community Center has videos and book to borrow while there, and has a number of planned activities.
We will definitely book this property again!

Our family of five, two adults and three teenage/young adult kids loved our stay at Roger and Charlene’s hale. The unit was comfortable and well equipped with cooking utensils and beach supplies. We enjoyed eating and playing cards on the lanai with a spectacular ocean view. We also enjoyed climbing down the cliff to snorkel and turtle watch. The complimentary bikes to borrow were an added bonus and we rode several times to Hideaways Beach which we also loved. We can’t wait to come back!

This was my family's second stay with these wonderful hosts and this exceptional home away from home in paradise, and we could not have been more pleased to be back! The townhome itself is very beautifully decorated with a tropical twist, an amazing view, very comfortable in all ways, with pretty much any amenity you could hope for. Add to that the resort amenities including great pools, spas, and activities including bicycles, pickleball, tennis, shuffleboard and basketball, as well as a library full of books and DVDs, there are many things for everyone. Location wise, being close to pretty much anywhere you will want to go, from amazing beaches to great restaurants to memorable activities, you seriously just can't do much better. Then, if that isn't enough, the hosts are absolutely wonderful too! They are attentive, proactive, and did everything they could, both this trip and last, to make sure we were comfortable and had a great stay! In the future, whenever we go to Kauai, this is where we are planning to stay, not even a second thought.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cliffs. You can't beat the view of the ocean from the condo. It was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. There was a beautiful tropical bouquet on the dining table awaiting us when we got there. Roger was very responsive -- he answered my questions right away, and checked to make sure that we had what we needed. I highly recommend it if you're going to be in the Princeville area.

We could not give enough stars for this property and especially the owners. We just spent two weeks glued to our lanai taking in on spectacular view after another. The beds were wonderful and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved the pool spa area and used the barbecues. I can’t recommend this gorgeous unit more. We had such a nice time! We were a family of 4 (two of which are teenagers) and we all had enough space and were very comfortable. Roger and Charlene go above and beyond to make sure their guests are taken care of. I loved waking up in the morning to the sound of the rosters and song birds outside the lanai from the primary bedroom. We also had breakfast on the ocean view lanai every morning. The closet with beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards was priceless for our trip and we appreciated them being accessible! We looked to book for next year but our dates were already taken - no surprise there as this place is a gem!

This condo is like a second home for us! It is exactly as described and has the absolutely best view in the entire complex!! The two lanais are lovely and you can enjoy an ocean view and/or a private garden. Charlene and Roger are there if you need them and respond promptly. Charlene's place was as described if not better. Very comfortable living spaces and beds. the Lanai's were a great spot to wake up and wind down, with great ocean views and garden views with the sun. We did not use any of the resort amenities but the look outs on the Cliffs were quite nice. Lots of great beaches nearby and easy access into Haena and Hanelai. This was our first trip to Kauai and this was a great base camp for our adventuring.

We *loved* our time at Charlene and Roger's beautiful condo at The Cliffs at Princeville!
This property is located in Princeville -- on the lush, gorgeous, and calm north side of the island. It is just a few moments (and an exciting one-lane bridge) from Hanalei (you must try Bar Acuda!), Anini Beach (great for snorkeling), and Kileaua (the lighthouse is a must-see, and the Fish Market a great place to eat). We appreciated staying on the mellow side of the island; although we did travel throughout the island during our stay, we liked being able to return to the quiet and serene north coast in the evenings.
The local management team is exceptional (please do see them for advice on things to do or guidance arranging activities), and the grounds themselves are gorgeously landscaped with many things to do (useful for our family, who stayed in December when winter waves limit beach access -- we swam in the pools and hot tubs, stargazed in the hammocks, watched whales and rainbows from the chairs on the lawn, played shuffleboard, basketball, and tennis with our teenagers). Charlene and Roger provided us with wonderful suggestions prior to arrival, which was unexpected but much-appreciated.
The property itself is clean, well-appointed, and updated. We couldn't find a negative and are certain we will back! Thank you, Charlene and Roger!

We LOVED our stay at Charlene & Rogers beautiful condo at the Cliffs in Princeville. The unit was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Our family of 5 slept comfortably in the 2-bedroom ocean view unit. We enjoyed our time on the lanai having breakfast and drinks at sunset.
The condo was equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and towels that made our adventures to Hanalei Bay and Annini beach so relaxing and honestly saved us a bunch of extra money :)
Check in and communication with renters was flawless.
We have already begun planning our next visit, hopefully in 2022!!

I don't have a single negative thing to say about this property! The view is gorgeous, the condo is spotless and very well maintained, and the owner was fantastic with communication and was very quick to find a solution to a minor fan issue. The condo has everything you could possibly need and then some. (beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, umbrellas for sun and rain, boogie boards) It was just the 2 of us however it would have been completely comfort with a family or another couple. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows if you're a pillow queen:) There is no a/c however with the windows and doors open it was very comfortable and even got a little chilly at night for sleeping which was amazing. If you are staying on the north side I would highly recommend this condo.

We highly recommend staying at Charlene and Roger’s condo. The condo was spotless and a beautiful floral arrangement was a wonderful touch upon our arrival.
The condo was fully stocked. We so appreciated the snorkel gear, the beach chairs, lovely towels and the coolers.
The view from the lanai was amazing. We used the bbqs provided on the property and ate on the lanai for dinner. Great way to start the morning as well with coffee in hand looking at the beautiful grounds and the ocean.
There was no need for AC as there was a constant breeze and lots of fans. The beds were so comfortable and lovely linens.
Charlene advised that there would be construction on other units during our stay. Firstly we appreciated her honesty. Secondly it was not an issue at all. The workers were respectful and didn’t start too early or work too late.
Charlene and Rogers clearly take great pride in their condo. We can’t recommend their condo enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Charlene's condo. It was spotlessly clean and well stocked. Everything was perfect. There was plenty of room for three of us and it was very comfortable. The view from the lanai was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the nenes and other birds on the expansive lawn with the ocean in the background. The association grounds had lawn chairs, hammocks and BBQ grills for guests to use.
We had a nice breeze through the condo so we didn't miss air conditioning. The condo was nicely decorated in island decor.
We had plenty of towels for the bath and the beach. We were also happy to find beach chairs for each of us to use. The pool and hot tub were close by and very pretty with waterfalls and nice plantings.
They were renovating some of the other condos, but we didn't hear any noise in the morning or when we got back in the afternoons. The location is convenient to all of Princeville and north shore activities are all a short drive away. Fortunately, the road to Hanalei had recently reopened for all day access with minimal delays. The north shore of Kauai is stunningly beautiful. You will fully get why they call it the "garden island".
I would happily stay at Charlene's condo again in the future. It was one of the best VRBO stays I've had.

Okay, I'll say it straight up, if we could give this vacation rental 10 stars, we would. I mention the hosts first because the North Shore of Kauai speaks for itself, literally paradise on earth. From our very first contact, the hosts for this vacation home were attentive, responsive, helpful and caring about working with us, thus eliminating uncertainty, confusion and worry, not easy to do in these trying travel times with Covid. When we got to the place, not only does it have the amenities you might want, it goes well beyond that with things like a coffee grinder, a blender for smoothies, fully set-up kitchen for cooking, and ice chests, beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards for the beach, not exactly the kind of things you can bring on an airplane these days and expensive to buy when you get there. Add in an extensive library of books, games and DVDs, and all were kept very well entertained. One other quick mention, the beds were all very comfortable, so much so that we now are considering a new one at home, and the fans and trade winds always kept the place well within the comfort zone. Throw in an outstanding view of the ocean with whales in the winter, hundreds of very friendly birds including Hawaiian cardinals, chickens and nenes, and there is truly not much more you could ask for. The Cliffs itself is great, well located right where we wanted to be, plenty of on-property amenities like pools, hot tubs, pickle ball, tennis, a small farmer's market and Dole Whip truck on Fridays, etc., but also is located only a short walk from many beautiful places to discover. Once again, all things considered, if we could rate this place a 10 we would, as it truly checked all the boxes and then some!

The Cliffs and more specifically this unit is a very nice place to stay while in Kauai. It's clean, the buildings and grounds are very well maintained and the view of the ocean is spectacular. You can tell that the owners of this unit take pride in their place and in pleasing guests. The kitchen is not large but is well stocked with everything you need. The size is great. We have two kids who loved the loft. No AC but the breeze that flows through the unit keeps it cool. We'll be back.

This was perfect for our family of 5 (including college age kids). The queen beds in the loft area and sofa bed gave us plenty of room to sleep. The view was amazing! We saw a rainbow on our first night. Loved the Hawaiian cardinals(at least thats what we called them since we are STL cards fans). The fresh flowers were much appreciated as well. We ate all our meals on the lanai. It was a quiet area in a nice location.

The grounds were perfectly immaculate, the house had everything we could think of needing, and the amenities were pristine. The condo is just as described and more. What really pleased me was the quiet and peaceful location. Great view! No road noise, just the wind blowing through trees, birds singing, and a dull sound of the ocean waves in the back ground. Condo stayed a lovely temperature with the lanai doors and windows open all night. Hardly needed the ceiling fans. The boogie boards, beach umbrella and tent, ice chests, were all a huge bonus. Everything we needed was there. Beaches just minutes away in the car. Get yourself a pineapple, coconut, dark Hawaiian rum and blend it up with ice from the freezer, one of my favorites. The pool and hot tubs are awesome also. Thank you Charlene and Roger for a late check out, being available when we had a question, making a worry free experience during covid19 travelling. Mahalo! The Cliffs in Princeville are the perfect location on the North shore of Kauai! The views from this third floor condo are absolutely breathtaking. The condo itself is well maintained with all you need for your island getaway. The owners provided beach towels, pool floats, boogie boards, beach chairs, suncreen, sunburn gel (in case you didn't use the sunscreen😉), insect repellent, grilling tools, and more! This allows you to pack very lightly while you travel. There are many activities to participate in at the resort if you wish, but we just did our own exploring. We definitely plan to stay again.
One note, there is no elevator to the third floor condo so if you have any difficulties on stairs just be aware.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cliffs. The décor and ocean view are very nice and Princeville is a great location. The hosts have thought of almost everything. The kitchen was well equipped which was important to us because we prepared most of our meals. However, there was not enough dishwashing liquid and trash bags for a 10 night stay. This was our 2nd stay in your beautiful condo. We enjoyed our stay in 2016 with our family, and returned in 2018 to stay as a couple. The condo has beautiful views over the ocean where you get amazing morning sun and sunset colors ( the sun actually sets off to the side which you can see from the grounds if you walk down in front of condo). The kitchen has the same views out over the water and makes doing the dishes not a chore. There is also a great quiet balcony surrounded by tropical vegetation off the master bedroom. The rest of the condo was perfect- lots of space, everything we needed including beach supplies and well decorated. The pool area was amazing- well landscaped and large. There's a small mall nearby for groceries and things. Hanalei is only 10 minutes away. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Our family of four, including two young adults, enjoyed this spacious bright condo with a spectacular ocean view. We needed to hunker down in place for a couple of days because of Hurricane Lane threat, and this apartment made our situation that much easier to tolerate. We left condo one day early to be closer to airport to help ensure we could make it on our scheduled flight home. Owner Charlene graciously refunded one night’s stay and offered to refund additional monies if we left even earlier. This is THE place to stay on the North Shore. We may very well return and hope that a rare hurricane will not affect our next Hawaiian vacation. Thank you, Charlene!

This lovely property exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and inviting, very tastefully decorated, with every detail in place and every convenience considered. The Cliffs property is very nice and in a convenient location for activities, and the unit is private but with a great view. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck watching the ocean and the wonderful birds. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the tropical Hawaiian trees outside. Everything is clean, new and in good repair. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax, even in the rain. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the staff was warm and friendly. We would most definitely stay there again!

This condo has it all ! Beautiful views from the moment you walk in, large master bedroom, well equipped kitchen..the list goes on. Watching the whales from the front Lanai with a cup of Kauai Coffee was my favorite morning routine.
Our family of 6 stayed here for 18 nights, and we found it very comfortable with lots of room for us to spread out, it truly was a home away from home.
The Cliffs resort was amazing ! The grounds are kept up beautifully, the pool is one of the nicest I’ve seen and kept very clean, the pool area was never that busy so finding room to spread out was usually pretty easy. The Resort hosted many cool events, such as...farmers markets, craft fairs, wine and beer tasting, and local food trucks.
With a family of 6 we did most of our shopping at Costco but Princeville has a very lovely complex with lots of stores and restaurants.
If your on the fence about which area to stay in, definitely keep Princeville on the list...we will be back !

TRAFIC CONGESTION ABIG PROBLEM. VERY FEW DESCENT RESTAURENTS ON THE ISLAND & OVER PRICED. BUT MUST KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT THE MAINLAND.THE CLIFFS RESORT IS IDEAL SPOT. FOOD TRUCKS COMMING ONTO THE PROPERTY DURING THE WEEK IS A NICE ALTERNATE CHOICE TO GOING OUT. THE CONDO IS WELL KEPT AND CLEAN, NICE FURNISHINGS,GOOD WORK OUT WALKING UP THREE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. ALL IN ALL WE HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE AND THE GREAT OWNERS CHARLENE & RODGER.

Charlene and Roger have one of the most incredible condos in this complex! The view of the Pacific with constant whale watching is available all day from the front lanai.
This property is very spacious and is top notch in all appointments. It is perfect for 4 to 6 people to spend some time on Kauai's north shore. Our stay was very peaceful and comfortable. I would recommend this property to any and all friends and family as it is an exceptional value!

I couldn’t believe the view, when I walked in the door. My husband was forgiven, considering it was a 3rd walkup. This unit was large and spacious! , it felt like House. Kitchen was well appointed. Nice having beach chairs and coolers for our use.

Very comfy furniture. No wicker. Pretty and spacious. We have stayed at dozens of VRBO's. This was one of the very best. So quiet, the walls must be very thick, we never heard any neighbors. The owners are kind and respond promptly. Don't hesitate to book here.

My wife and I and another couple stayed here for twelve days. The cost was reasonable and the view of the ocean was fantastic. We ate all of our breakfasts and about half of our dinners in and we had everything we needed for that. Comfortable beds, two baths, three TV’s, and strong internet made our stay in paradise wonderful. We definitely would rent this again.
