Exactly what we needed without knowing we did. We have been fortunate to be able to visit Princeville on a few occasions and we have FOUND our spot. The condo what the perfect space for us and our two kids (8 & 10) they had enough space and privacy and so did the adults. The view from the lanai is stunning and I could stop there. The rooms are all spacious, beds and couches comfy enough tables and chairs for inside or outside eating. The condo property is fabulous as well with tennis, pickle ball, a playground, a pool and enormous amounts of green space ❤️❤️ will definitely be coming back but don’t tell anyone 😀

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the condo. The ocean view was amazing. The condo is quite roomy, clean and well equipped. The sounds of the birds (roosters) was an added plus. This was the third property that my family stayed at on our Hawaiian trip and it was our favorite. The location was great and the view from the lanai made us feel as though we were truly on vacation.
If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting the north shore of Kauai my family would recommend this property.

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend for families. Although the decor is dated (we knew as it is described this way), the condo was perfect for our family of 5. The condo was very clean, had beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. The chairs need to be updated as 2 were broken. We enjoyed the ocean view on the balcony, soaking in every sunrise and sunset. We especially enjoyed meeting others at the Adirondack chairs over looking the ocean for sunset cocktails. We stayed here 2 blissful weeks and would definitely stay again!

I was a little nervous about staying on a third floor walk up with my three kids (10, 6 and 2) but my nervousness was for nothing! My kids had no problems with the stairs and they are in great working order, not slippery and have good sturdy railings.
The view from the living room balcony is amazing! The rooms are large and even though there is no heat or a/c, there is a wonderful breeze all day and it kept the unit at a perfect temp.
The kitchen is fully stocked with plates/bowls/cups and silverware. There is a full complement of cooking utensils and pots/pans. Oven/fridge/dishwasher is great. I will say as far as seasonings/oils/etc, there is only salt and pepper. The coffee pot has filters and a day’s worth of coffee provided which was great.
The pool and grills and all the other features the property offers are immaculately kept and staying there was pure joy. Also perfectly situated near hanalei bay and anini beach (both fifteen minutes).
We hope to be back again soon!

This was our second time renting this unit (first was in November 2019). There is no better deal you can find on the island for what you get. The location is amazing, North Shore beauty at such a great property (The Cliffs). For what you pay, there is simply no better deal. Views of the ocean from your kitchen and balcony, amazing vistas of the ocean and sunsets for the evenings. The room comes stocked with kitchen cookware and dinnerware. Stove, microwave, laundry and dryer. One gigantic room with an additional loft upstairs, two full bathrooms, plus the closet has beach chairs, snorkel gear, children sand toys (which we left behind for others to enjoy), binoculars, ice cooler, and much more. Yes, the room and unit overall is dated, but we loved it and had no issue at all. I could be wrong, but I believe I saw the owners mention the low rates are taking into account the dated decor. Either way, we had a blast and would return to this same unit again,

This unit accommodated our family of five for 5-nights. The unit was equipped with cooler, boogie boards, chairs, floats and although we didn’t use them also had snorkel equipment available. Such a wonderful touch especially when traveling as a family. We spent lots of time in Hanalei at the beach so having those supplies enhanced our trip immensely.
The facilities at the Cliffs resort were wonderful. Bikes, pools, shuffle board and occasion food truck options added the to enjoyment of our trip.
The unit itself is a 3rd floor corner unit which is great for the ocean views from the patio - we spent lots of time enjoying this space. The unit is also one of the MOST AFFORDABLE in this area that accommodate up to 6 people and the owner allowed us an early check in which was gracious since there was a massive rain storm on arrival day and we had limited options due to weather.
The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils & cookware and plenty of towels were available for pool & showers and a washing machine was in the unit as well. Unfortunately the unit is in DESPERATE need of a deep cleaning of the carpets and updating to the couch; at minimum, a shampooing of the couch.
Overall our family had a wonderful time and the owner does a great job at making this unit affordable for families to travel in this area and have some space to really spread out and enjoy their time on vacation.

the over all property was amazing. loved the view of the ocean and the grounds were beautiful. the pool was beautiful. the property had everything needed. more pros then cons. the beds need to be updated-really saggy and the pillows were awful. and the closet for the washing machine was hard to find. the couch needs a shampooing. but we were mainly there for slept and showers. the location is great but you will need a car. the tradewinds made it very cool at night which made for beautiful chilly nights!!! there is no a/c.

The condo is fully stocked with every beach need including beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, and much more.
The kitchen has all the utensils necessary for meal preparation.

Lovely home. It was just enough space for a group of 4. It had everything that we needed plenty of towels, washcloths. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was fully stocked with everything that you may need. Everywhere seemed to be about 30 minutes to get to we had a rental, so not to bad. Judit home was really nice and in nice neighborhood. The home is near some traintracks so if you are a light sleeper that may bother you. Also its closer to Bush airport not Hobby if you are flying in. We booked the unit after we purchased our flights so if you do choose this unit it's much closer. Hobby takes about 35-40 depending on traffic. Will definitely look to stay again when I return.

Excellent space for three teen girls and me. Some beach equipment is included, and the corner unit was lovely with the trade winds. Been in similar units not on a corner and they get stuffy.
The furniture is a bit dated, but we were fine with that. We were so busy exploring! Beds were comfortable. Cannot wait to return!!

Our stay at The Cliffs was amazing. If you are looking to stay in an area that is away from all the hustle and bustle this is your place. We absolutely loved all the hiking around the area. Secret beach is a must hike! The town of Hanalei is less than 10 minutes away and such a cute town with shops, tons of food, kayak rentals and so much more. Sad we discovered this quaint town on our last night.
Joel and Mary have equipped the condo with ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING you would need for your stay. From beachchairs, coolers, ice packs, pack n plays, games, stocked kitchen, you name it. The facilities are wonderful with workout room, pool, tennis courts, basketball, bbq stations, hammock, You will not be disappointed!

The carpet is old and filthy. The sofas, cushions on chairs, bed comforters and blankets show wear. They are the same as the photos but the photos were taken when the unit was in its prime. Updated photos would contribute to a more accurate listing. In general the entire unit needs to be updated. I would not stay here again.

I struggled with this review because there were so many amazing aspects of our stay in Kuaui. The location of this unit, both in Kuaui and in the complex is stellar. Amazing views, close but not too close to the pool, great parking, near the bar b ques, etc. when we first walked into the unit the smell of stale cigarettes hit me like a slap to the face. Not fresh, like someone was just smoking, but likely came from the carpet (yes carpet in Hawaii) that is legit still from the late 70s or early 80s. It’s gross. And stained, and likely also contributes to the warmth (no A/c) of the unit. The main bedroom on the first floor was pleasant, but the loft bedroom was not so much. Super hot even with the windows open. Overall, we had a good laugh at the decor but will likely not be back to this unit.

We stay at the Cliffs numerous times and this unit has a nice ocean view, cooker, beach chairs and umbrella for the beach.
The Cliff amenities are great.
This unit could use an update but for the price can’t be beat.

Mary and Joel were fantastic communicators, providing us with a super helpful welcome document that laid out the features of the unit and the options on the island (like farmers' markets, nearby attractions, etc.)
Let's start with the things that are great about this unit:
-Incredibly views of the ocean and the hills descending to the ocean from this unit
-The breeze off the pacific is wonderful when you keep the door to the lanai and the door to the bedroom patio open!
-Washer/dryer in unit and pack and play are GREAT to have when you're traveling with little kids, but the third-floor location makes traversing the steps a bit of an effort
-There is incredible natural light in this unit
-The pool, playground, tennis courts, and other public amenities are quite awesome. They even had a food truck across from the registration office serving up pizzas the first day and a second one serving up sausages on the second day
Now for the things that weren't so ideal:
-I plugged a lamp in on our first night (which was missing a bulb, so I scavenged one from another lamp) and it blew the fuse and sparked pretty wildly. We also had issues plugging anything in (from a cell phone charger to a laptop charger) - so I would ask Mary and Joel to please consider upgrading the electricals here.
-The linens on the beds felt like they were from the 70's - not light and colorful like the ones in the pictures. Maybe this is what the housekeeping service just chose for us, but it felt like staying on your grandparents' bed - the one they haven't updated since the 70's.
-The unit feels old - in the carpeting, the stovetop fan which only vents the smoke into the air (not outside), and the aforementioned electricals
-There are no pics of the stairs leading to the second and third beds - which are decently steep for little kids and although we didn't have issues, a photo would have helped

The vacation rental was just like described and my Family liked it right away. I only wish I had planned my vacation farther in advance so I could have stayed here longer.

We didn't miss AC at all because the trade winds kept the condo very comfortable and I even had to buy a sweatshirt because I got a little chilly. The beds were very comfy. We didn't hang out in the condo too much as we were out enjoying all that Kauai had to offer but we did make a few meals at the condo which was very nice and convenient and slept well there... Mahalo for our wonderful stay!

Everything one would want for a family vacation on Kauai. Spacious, comfortable condo with everything from myriad kitchen supplies to family games to beach gear. The view could not be beat and a minute walk around the building to see the sunset every night on the complimentary Adirondack chairs from the resort. While just mildly outdated, the pictures honestly don't do the unit justice as we were surprised by front and back lanais, two full bathrooms and impressive decorations and trinkets throughout the place. The entire family loved every moment we spent in the room and are already planning on our return.

We basically used this place to sleep. It was a great location and had a great view. We ate out 95% of the time, but it looked like the kitchen was well-stocked. I would have given this place a great review, but the owner blamed me for damage that I didn't do. This place is more affordable than most because it is in need of some updating, like a lot of the other reviews said. The carpets had stains in lots of places, for instance. The maintenance crew must not check thoroughly after each departing guest because I got a message saying there was damage and stains - that we didn't do. So I would just warn any guests to take lots of pictures when you get there so nobody blames you for something you didn't do.

This condo was exactly as owner described. However it is showing some aging and needs some maintenance upgrading. Comfortable bed with oversized master bedroom. Good air flow ventilation on main floor. Management very quick when responding to a broken toaster. Pool area and grounds were well kept and clean.

beautiful property with an incredible view of the pacific. there is no air conditioning, but all of the windows/doors have screens and there are 4+ fans available. we were comfortable despite highs in the 90s. a few issues with TV/wifi but it sounds like the owner is getting them resolved for the next guest.

This is a prime location to book. First, the hosts respond promptly and are so helpful. The place itself is phenomenal. consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two porches We had more than enough room. The kitchen is well equipped. We used the beach chairs, umbrella, and towels provided. Although the ongoing road construction added to travel time, we found the location to be convenient to the places we wanted to visit. We would not hesitate to book this location again.
