We also enjoyed the wonderful amenities of the resort, including the beach, the view point/fire pit, pool, hot tub, and restaurants (which also have incredible views). Great location at the resort. Overlooking the wonderful pool and Hanalei Bay. Everything you need in the unit...stove, sink, good size minifridge, drip coffee maker, toaster, plates, utensils, etc., plus a/c and a washer and dryer in the unit. Communication with the owner was a breeze...very responsive. Enjoyed our time and looking forward to returning.

All I need to say is the view of Hanalei bay is the most spectacular view you will ever have! Beautiful sunsets at night with a very comfortable bed. This condo is small but perfect for couples. The resort has an amazing pool but no swim up bar. And a beach that they will help get you and all beach gear there with a ride on a cart. There are daily resort/parking fees but didn’t care due to how beautiful it was! When we go to Kauai again we will definitely stay in this condo!

Host and manager were so accommodating and kind. The manager even brought us a top notch blender when the existing one failed. The location and sunset views were amazing - just staring at the scenery is enough to fill the senses. This property was no less than perfect for my two sons and their children along with their Oma and Opa. The property is as well maintained as it was when we began coming here 40 years ago. The entire experience was fantastic. The pictures don’t do justice to the actual view, it’s stunning. Incredible to wake up and step out on the porch to see the mountains and oceans. The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The resort was excellent as well. Easy to get to and a bunch of activities all around. Can’t recommend this place enough for future guests.

Waking up to a rainbow over Hanalei Bay was just the beginning of our beautiful 2-week stay at Dave's Hanalei Bay Resort condo. The view is outstanding; we ate almost every meal on the lanai, and no restaurant's views are better. We cooked most meals on the grills near the pool, which are cleaned daily. Indoors, there is a surprising amount of space and storage, comfortable bed, adequate kitchenette, and huge bathroom. The closeness to the parking lot is perfect. The evening restaurant-parking competition is tricky, but the valets are helpful with moving restaurant customers’ vehicles to let resort guests park. The sound of the rain on the roof at night was delightful. We would definitely stay here again.

we were very surprised to learn upon checkin that your car must be parked in a parking area and not near the condo at all. This was very hard for us because not used to walking up and down several steep hills. I wish that this was told before we booked this. The room was small but we expected that. The cleaning and toilet , bathroom fan need work.

I had a wonderful experience there at Hanalei Bay. The views were spectacular. The pool was delightful- and the unit was very comfortable. Management was very responsive. The only frustrating thing was parking as we had a large van and it was very difficult as the stalls were for more compact cars, and not enough parking all around. We totally would book again- definitely a repeat vacation!!

We enjoyed our stay.Loved being able to walk down to the beach and if we did not want to walk all the way back, you could call for a ride. The pool was fun. The coffee shop had some essentials. The restaurant was just starting to re-open with pizzas and some apps … the pizza was delicious. Restaurant and bar does not open until 3:00. We would stay here again!

The views were everything and exactly as pictured! Just walking the grounds was so refreshing. The Happy Talk Lounge was a highlight and the Wiki Pizza as well; both had amazing open-aired views and good food. The bed was very comfortable and the ac was good and cold. We will definitely be back!

The view of the mountains with partial ocean view was amazing and it is rather private, which was nice. The amenities such as the ice chests and chairs were greatly appreciated! The owner was responsive and took care of everything we had questions about. The bed was comfy. Glad they had a broom. Because of the amenities, we will probably stay here again. I would ask about the cost of getting a towel switch out and maybe a room clean with sheet change and more trash bags and toilet paper if you are staying a week or more. They provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner so I brought soap for hand washing and the shower. The shower bath combo is dated but no bother to us. Laundry is close by and you can get quarters and soap at the lobby.

Loved our stay here! The view from the lanai was jaw-dropping. The resort was beautifully maintained and the pool was super fun. Absolutely no issues with bugs as some others had indicated. You might get some gecko visitors on the lanai, but they're cute! The location of this unit is great as it's close to the lobby, restaurants, and pool. I considered several units on this property but chose this one for the view, kitchenette, and in-unit laundry which came in clutch. Would absolutely stay again!

Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. You have to see it. The views will take your breath away. Everything was amazing minus cleanliness. I think the cleaners hurried on rhis one. Rugs clearly not vacuumed, dustwebs on lights, food smears around (I cleaned them myself as a property owner). But this is not the owners fault for a one off -they were amazing and it still deserves 5 stars.

When we first arrived and looked at the map of the property, we were immediately overwhelmed, don’t be. The resort is not as spread out as the map reads and actually easy to get around. They also have golf carts to get you wherever you need to go on property. The lagoon pool is great, we never went to the lower pool but it looked nice. The grounds are beautifully kept and check in was a breeze. My husband and I LOVED the restaurant, Happy Talk, on property. After a long day out, it was great to “stay in.” We would grab a seat at the bar and eat dinner. The pizza place, also on property was also fantastic. You can eat in or carry out. A lot of people would bring their pizza to the pool, which is a great option. I do feel that off of property there are not a lot of sit down restaurants with a waitress, something we enjoy. The only other thing that was disappointing, the beach. The walk there was great, downhill. The walk back, just call for a golf cart, it is a heck of a climb. You also “share” a beach that you feel a bit intrusive when enjoying. The remainder of the beach is not the best. Overall, our time was good at HBR.

I don’t know how to describe this place other than “dreamy” and I know it sounds cliche, but that is the feeling my family and I felt upon arriving at unit 8232. We thought that by splitting our time up between the north and south shores on Kauai would be a good experience for everyone to see all of the island but if it were up to me, I would have just stayed put at this beautiful location. Every morning that we woke up, my wife and I would have coffee on the lanai and take in the serene beauty of our view of Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai. It just seemed like a dream looking out at the perfection of creation like that, that we would ask each other if we were in fact in a dream. My daughter and niece felt the same way and we all agree that it is now the best place with a view to die for that we have ever stayed before! The hosts place was very clean, very accommodating and very relaxing and we enjoyed it soooo much! The interior had a really nice Polynesian atmosphere with Japanese influences and it made the stay feel all the more immersing with the surrounding beauty.
