Awesome condo. Gorgeous views. Overall great stay. Parking is somewhat of an issue. However shouldn’t stress about the lack of parking due to complimentary valet parking if the parking lot gets full.

The host, Joyce, was very responsive before we arrived and during our stay the few times we reached out with questions. The condo is clean, casual and comfortable, decorated with great aloha spirit. The outside patio has a wonderful view of mountains and some of the bay, just as promised, with great views of each evening's sunset. The kitchen isn't large but plenty big enough, with the key tools you need, even some Tupperware. I do suggest adding a couple reuseable grocery bags for trips to Food Land. Love the stack washer/dryer that included pods and dryer sheets. The bed is a queen, but we found it very comfortable, and the room has a slider providing an exceptional view of the bay just like the living room. Also, heavy drapes on both sliders if you want privacy. A couple beach chairs were on the patio and an umbrella by the front door were great to have readily available. Love the resort, the restaurant, pools, and access to the beach below. One thing we did finding was limited parking on nights when the restaurant was busy, but free valet is offered if the lot is full. We found all the resort staff helpful, friendly, and kind. My wife and I hope to stay here again as soon as possible. Aloha, Eric

This property was quite lovely. Check-in was flawless. The view is spectacular. Staff is above and beyond being nice. The coffee shop,Positive Cooffee is wonderful. My only complaint and it’s not that much of a complaint. I wish they had bathrooms up by the restaurants. Also, the main pool is wonderful.

The views from the condo were amazing, can’t get any better! Unfortunately the bed in the master bedroom was awful, very difficult to get a good nights sleep and the extra bed in the living room was unmade. Also there were potato chip crumbs on the top of the fridge. Overall we had a wonderful time, the facility has everything you need for a week in paradise. Happy Talk is always an added bonus.

Loved the place! Super easy to check in. Valet parking was free, I wished I knew that earlier since it's limited parking. The place is easy to get to, the beach is a beautiful spot with a full restaurant/bar right there. It's a really nice place with AC, great amenities, and the view of the flora was nice. It felt tucked away, and was very private.

Overall experience with booking, checking in and checking out with smooth. The view from the Lanai is gorgeous. The comfort of the bed you feel like you’re sleeping on clouds. Dave had it all hairdryer, iron, beach equipment. Due to the restaurant at the resort parking in the evening can get crazy, but don’t worry the valet will find you a spot. The beach access isn’t super close (within walking distance) but it’s still very convenient. All you need to do is call the front desk and the golf cart will pick you up and take you down the hill to the beach, which is a beautiful beach. The grounds at the resort are beautiful with breathtaking views everywhere. And don’t forget to watch the sunset on the grass area by the top tennis court.

Clean. Pool was amazing, even better than the pics. Private beach access is great. Location is prime. Great hospitality and excellent communication. Only downside was not having any breakfast or lunch options on the property which would be very convenient.

The room had a great view, was comfortable, and had a mini fridge. The walls with the neighboring unit were very thin. The air conditioner could use a thorough cleaning as it dripped brown water during a particularly humid day. We really enjoyed the beautiful property of the resort, including the pools, plants, beach, and seeing all the different varieties of birds.

Our experience at Hanalei Bay Resort couldn’t have been better!! This property was an absolute dream - absolutely BREATHTAKING views from the patio (with a great chair for reading outside), it was right next to the smaller pool on property which was nice & quiet, and the amenities were everything we needed. The staff was so kind & accommodating, and Joyce was very prompt with answering the questions I had. 10/10 recommend - we would return in a heartbeat!! (I wish we could come back next week!!)

Cannot say enough good things about this property and the owners. They were very communicative leading up the the trip and check-in/out instructions were clear and accurate. The apartment was clean and had beautiful views, great location on the property with easy access to the pools, restaurants, coffee shop, Beach path (about 5-10 min walk down) and parking. Parking was a little tricky on weekend evenings due to valet for the restaurants taking up spots in the small parking lot but they were very nice and accommodating and always found us a spot after a little wait. The rental came equipped with Beach chairs, an umbrella, snorkel gear and more so we did not have to go rent or buy anything which was very nice. We enjoyed many evenings out on the balcony with the beautiful view of the bay and the mountains regardless of the weather. Highly recommend this stay!

For our second trip to Kauai, we knew we wanted to stay in the Princeville/Hanalei area. The Hanalei Bay Resort was the perfect place for us and our one year-old! Great access to coffee, shops, and groceries. The pool at the resort is divine! We loved hanging out on our lanai, especially birdwatching in the jungle as we enjoyed meals together as a family! The walk down to the beach is super doable for an active family like us, but the shuttles were also super convenient! We did not end up spending much time at the hideaways beach due to brown water advisory with a heavy rainfall. Overall, we loved our stay at the Hanalei Bay resort and can’t wait to come back!

The view is by far the highlight of this room!! Incredible. The whole resort is beautiful. The room is more hotel-esque. I’ve stayed in different condos in this resort that were more condo-homelike, but it was a great price as well. Definitely would return.

The apartment is nice . It’s a beautiful setting with beautiful views , but not “the view” from the balcony. It is a walk and climb back to the lobby from the apartment . They do have transportation to get around the resort if needed. We used it for bringing the luggage. Maybe why the price is very reasonable. I didn’t realize until the end ,when looking for an easier path to the lobby , of our stay that the bamboo blinds do not give enough privacy. Not sure if it mattered , but I became conscious when in front of the window after the discovery.

HBR Stay was beautiful! We couldn’t ask for more while staying in Hanalei. It was easy access to Ha’ena State Park and the nearby stores were convenient for easy dinners. We loved everything about this stay. Host was easily responsive to any issues and would recommend for anyone staying in Kauai

The report was beautiful and centrally located to some great restaurants and bars. The owner was easy to get a hold of and responsive. The only small recommendation I have is to replace the beach chairs with newer ones. We loved our stay.

Great location with excellent amenities (pool, beach, lounge). The unit was a bit of a hike down hill from the main area, but you were rewarded with a quiet environment and a wonderful view! The resort does provide golf cart transport. Unit was clean and comfortable. We couldn’t quite get the room temp where we wanted for sleeping, but that’s really a comment on us and not the room. The pool is impressive and relaxing. Positive Coffee and Wiki Pizza were both great food options. Parking is limited I’m the evenings, but staff helped us find a spot. The grounds/gardens are gorgeous and provide some nice sunset viewing slots. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely be returning!

My, oh my, what a wonderful rental! Best view of the bay and sunset in the entire complex. Very easy to get acclimated to the resort. Lovely amenities. Very comfortable room. Parking was easy, and the staff are so quick and accommodating if you want a lift on their golf carts if you don't want to walk. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a very nice stay overall. The condo was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the view was absolutely the highlight. It was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly the kind of setting you hope for in a place like this. The host was also responsive over text, which made communication easy. they had kept ample laundry detergent for guests, which was thoughtful and useful during the stay. The bell staff were also very helpful, including with getting up from the beach, and that service was complimentary, which we appreciated.A few things future guests should know: there were quite a few fees at check-in, so be prepared for that. Also, I would recommend bringing your own coffee beans or coffee powder before arriving. The place does have a coffee machine, but you should be prepared with your own coffee.One thing that was disappointing was that there were no bathroom supplies provided beyond day one. For a multi-day stay, basic bathroom supplies should either be available or clearly communicated in advance. This is not something guests should have to treat as normal.Overall, the condo and view were great, the host was responsive, and we enjoyed the stay, but the bathroom supply situation should be improved.

The unobstructed views of Hanalei Bay and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking! The open space just off the lanai is home to tons of birds, who sung to us every moring. Enjoyed the location, nearby beaches for snorkeling, and shuttle to Ha'ena State Park. The host is very responsive and delightful. We are very happy we stayed here.

The view from the deck of this property takes your breath away. It’s truly special and something you probably cannot see from many places in Princeville. The condo itself is very large though the one bathroom is extremely small and dated. Kitchen was well appointed. There was a strong musty smell when we arrived which is likely due to humidity and moisture of the climate, but opening the doors and letting in the breeze made that go away. More of a comment on the property than the condo but read the descriptions carefully - this is a very large property and it’s hard to get from anywhere to anywhere else on property. Either lots of hilly walking or you have to call a golf cart. While the golf cart is fun it’s annoying to not be able to be more independent and the endless tipping adds up. I loved their private beach but again, accessing it was a major pain and deterrent. Also a comment on the property - lots of extra (what I felt were hidden fees) fees - check in fee, daily resort fee, daily parking fee. The pool was large and a cool layout though I didn’t love the feel of the small stones on the bottom and the color of the lining made it look like a dirty pond. Could be spectacular with a redesign of color and material. Overall a wonderful stay!
