My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Island "stay-cation" for my birthday in February.
We have stayed at HBR many times so this condo was perfect for the two of us as we have a standard list of restaurants to eat at so we didn't need a full condo with kitchen.
It was as described/pictured and well equipped for our needs.
Perfect views of Hanalei Bay and Bali Hi and away from the sounds of the main resort area.
Aloha Condos and our contact person; Rocco were attentive and responded quickly to all our questions and needs and there was a personal followup from the owners as well.

The condo was great and as advertised. The only thing is that there is a resort fee and parking fee in addition to the price you pay for the condo. Maybe it was in the agreement somewhere and I missed it. In any case you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.

PIctures and narrative description all are very accurate. Liked everything about the place. We had one rainy day out of a week but it was still wonderful sitting on the lanai and enjoying the tropical rain. Short ride down to Hanalei town and the famous beach there. Easy access to other places on the North Shore. My only caution - be aware a there are resort fees, parking fees and a "check-in" fee. The owner might want to disclose these more visibly. It does cost more to stay here than first appears. Otherwise, a terrific place.

Can not recommend this condo enough! It exceeded our expectations by far for our short 3 night stay up North. Clean, comfortable, and stunning unobstructed views! Resort amenities were top notch. Our stay was very nice. The room is pretty standard and minimal. The view was so amazing and the room has a lot of fun supplies to use at the beach. It would have been nice to have a microwave. There are kitchen supplies but nothing to heat food with.

This listing was described to have a kitchen when we walked in we were greeted with a master bedroom closet, and the bathroom no kitchen. In the closet was a counter with a couple of small saucers couple of bowls, couple coffee cups couple of wine glasses some fork knives a blender, a coffee pot and a tea pot.
No pots no pans no cooking utensils no stove no microwave
In the description, it also stated icemaker was part of the unit. Was there an icemaker on site? Yes, there was were there grills on site. Yes there were but they were not part of the unit. It was a walk to get there.
I have never stayed in a VRBO unit that was a kitchen before that is like this. It’s very unfortunate that this listing and others continue to be published the way that they are. I spoke with others on the property as well as staff who stated this exact same thing happens more than once a week we guess expect a kitchen for us we went grocery shopping in Lihue Prior to ever seeing the condo and we shopped like we would have a kitchen when we got there and realized all we had was a grill. We had to go to the local grocery store and buy pans so that we could cook our food on the grill. This was a big inconvenience.
We had to make sure and shut the bathroom door because the toilet would run on and off all night and all day constantly waking you up
There is a door between this unit and the unit next-door, you can hear everything going on in that unit and they can hear everything going on in yours.

King sized bed was very comfortable. This 3rd Floor Condo offers a faulted ceiling which we liked. Separate shower/commode from main bathroom was nice. The Kitchenette only had a 2 burner stove and did not have a oven. and only had a mini fridge which made cooking a challenge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Milo and Theresa place while in Princeville. The view of Hanalei Bay is magnificent. The king size bed was also wonderful. The resort also seems nice - we really only utilized the jacuzzi and access to the beach, but other aspects looked great.I didn't realize that there was no kitchen sink, and that the fridge was a small hotel size.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the property. The location of the unit was perfect as it was right next to the parking lot and not far from the lobby area and restaurants. The in-unit washer and dryer was very helpful and there were many extras in the closet which, unfortunately, we did not get a chance to use, but knowing they were, there was very nice. It would be helpful if there were some non-slip pads put in the tub as it was slippery for both of us. Great TV and the view was extraordinary! Definitely recommend and no doubt would stay there again.

The unit is close to checkin and parking lot and ice machine. It was clean and it had laundry inside unit with soap... nice touch there. Good view and close to the restaurant . Anywhere else on property would be a long walk. So , great location. It's on second floor facing the bay. Good sunsets.

The place was nice, with great views from the balcony. The king bed was very comfortable. Top floor (3rd floor) so get used to climbing stairs. A little close to the bar so a bit noisy in the evenings until 9:30pm when it closes.The kitchen is well stocked but no way to cook anything in the unit. Overall we liked staying here.

Having critters in the room very negatively impacted our trip. There was a dead gecko in the bed the first night and a live gecko in the bed the second night. Maintenance brought sticky traps and confirmed there were lots of gecko droppings under the bed, indicating that this was not a new problem. They advised us to move the bed out to the middle of the room so the lizards couldn’t crawl up as easily. There were also live earwigs in the kitchen. We contacted the host about the gecko issue, and his response was: “Realize you are in Hawaii. There are probably a lot more insects, both crawling and flying than you are used to.” This was insulting, as we paid a premium price to stay in what was advertised to be an exceptional place. We travel to tropical destinations about twice a year and have never had an issue like this. This situation made our stay in the room very stressful, and we would never stay there again. Do not believe the listing photos; the room desperately needs to be cleaned and updated. There is a huge gap between the front door and its frame where the bugs and lizards easily come in. There is trash underneath the furniture. The bathtub is old and dirty. Trim around the floor is not correctly attached to the wall. One of the doors has been chewed on. The area and resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The layout of the room was nice, and the view was spectacular. These positives did not make up for the discomfort of the dirty and infested room.

The view is outstanding! The location is great, very close to parking, lobby, restaurant, pool, hot tub, etc., but also quiet and private. The condo is clean and comfortable. It’s a long walk (1/4 mile downhill?) to the beach, but the property has carts that will pick you up. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful view and comfortable lounge chairs on Lanai, but high stools at table are hard to get onto an uncomfortable (all your weight is on your thighs. Pillows too soft for me. Nice kitchen and accessories. Not sure why there was another refrigerator in the living room.

The unit is dated and disappointing. There is no kitchenette, only a tiny dorm-size coffee maker (4cup), and misc cups, no microwave, and an odd collection of kitchen items, even though there is no kitchen. The shower has mold. The baseboards are rotting. The bed is a spring mattress and horribly uncomfortable. The bed is located in the loft, and the only bathroom is on the main floor. When the wind blows, a small attic access door rattles, so we had to move a nightstand in front of it to keep it closed. It is a 3rd floor unit. The property is beautiful and that is why you would choose to stay here. You will pay an additional 50/ night for parking and “resort fees”.. there is no washer and dryer - you can use the community washer on the ground floor for 2 per wash and 2 per dry. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

This condo was a wonderful spot to enjoy Kauai. It is located in the Hanalei Bay Resort, at the very edge of the property. There are amazing views of a wonderfully, wave active cove from both the bedroom and living room. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and wave/surfer watching. Also the mountains were beautiful, with ever changing light and clouds. The beach is nearby, as well the Neighbors cafe at the next door 1 Hotel for breakfasts overlooking the Bay. We also enjoyed the proximity to nice hiking trails. On the first day, we had trouble parking as we arrived later in the evening and found out afterwards that valet parking was available for guests. We also had a little trouble figuring out how to turn on/off the air conditioning-- which was a little noisy. Overall, an ideal location and amazing views-- very relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall it was a beautiful property with nice staff but here are biggest issues with this listing:
1. Resort fees: there were 3 digit $ resort fees for one night. To be fair, I later discovered they were on this listing but they are only seen if you hit “show more” at the very bottom in the more details sections. This is sneaky and deceiving in my opinion.
2. This isn’t a hotel or hotel accommodations - trash had to be taken out, products are not great, you don’t have a mini fridge in the room and your pool towels can only be swapped out at the front desk. You can’t get amenities like a rollaway bed. It is below the standards of a hotel.
3. The fancy restaurant is closed but the crazy thing is it’s listed as an open restaurant!! It’s on google as open, it’s on all the maps from the resort, etc., We went expecting a good dinner only to show up and see pizza. The worst part was the restaurant was closed 8 YEARS AGO. This is absolutely insane to me and inconvenient.
4. The hot tub - the pool is beautiful but the hot tub jets and below average and it closed at 10 and didn’t open till 8 or 9.
5. Most importantly, the listing doesn’t match the property! We didn’t have a kitchenette, let alone a coffee maker. Our room was a bed and a bathroom. It was many 200 sq feet not 600 sq feet!!
