Jenny and I had a great time staying in your condo at the HBR. It was the perfect distance from HB to go swimming and Sunbathing. Princeville was quiet and peaceful as expected.
We had a lovely time and would consider staying with you again the next time we visit Kauai.

Our room was just right for the two of us. We’ve been to the islands several times and The view from our lanai was the most amazing ever! Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The grounds were immaculate and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Happy Talk lounge onsite had very excellent food! We would definitely stay here again!

Our hosts are great communicators and made our trip less stressful. The room is close to parking, the resort pool, tennis courts and on-site restaurant. We had a great time! Room was exactly as expected with amenities that came in handy when needed. A+ stay!

We absolutely loved it here. The location was perfect for us, both within the complex as well as what we wanted to do. We loved that it has a semi-private beach as well as being in walking distance to our favorite snorkel beach (which is impossible to find parking at). We chose this place initially because it was one of the few available with a full kitchen (we both have strict diets and eating out every meal is difficult), but in the end we loved where it was located and the most perfect view we had every morning waking up.
Milo always responded right away the few times we had questions.

Our stay was AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved the comfort and warmth of this studio! The location was perfect, between the pool and beach we rarely left. We will definitely be back and plan to stay in this same unit—truly the best experience!

Very clean and home-like, we enjoyed our time there and the location is beautiful. Host communication was great. Didn’t get to use much of the resort’s amenities, which was a pity since they charge pretty substantial fees on top of what you pay through Vrbo - enquire before you book!

We absolutely loved our stay! Rainbows and waterfalls from your lanai with the gorgeous view of Hanalei Bay! It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the condo. Bed was comfortable. If you are looking in this area, this would be an amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views were incredible! The room is perfect for two people, it has everything you need if you prefer to do lunch/dinner in the room or need to wash clothes. The beach was beautiful & a quick 10 min trip to Hanalei. The bed was extremely comfortable!

Our host, Milo, is the perfect host. His on time communication, attention to detail, and willingness to be at our beckon call was very important to us. Although we never needed anything, it was wonderful to know he was a phone call away. The studio: Absolutely amazing location with views of the mountains, bay, and well kept resort grounds. It was very clean, well stocked, tastefully decorated, and the washer/dryer was a huge bonus. Check in was very easy and the staff were as friendly and helpful as they could be. The resort grounds are well kept and constantly being maintained. As an active, mid 60 year old couple celebrating 42 years of marriage; having never been to the islands before, this was a dream come true and the HBR, the studio, and Milo made it happen. This place deserves 5 stars!! The condo views were spectacular! We had many meals on our private lanai and watched the sun rise or set. One day, it rained and the mountains in our view exploded with waterfalls..there was suddenly 5 or 6 of them! So cool!
The kitchen is very small, although adequate. We cooked two "family" style meals (pasta one night and black beans and rice one night), and ate leftovers some of the time. We made toast and oatmeal etc in the morning. There is a drip coffee maker. There were a few supplies like dishwashing detergent and laundry detergent available for us to get started with.
The laundry in unit is also very small, so you will have to do small loads, but it was very nice to have it in-unit and we used it alot. So convenient!
There is not much closet space as you share it with the owner of the unit..there's not really room to hang something longways without it hitting the stuff beneath it. But that's ok because they're providing some beach items like chairs, umbrella and a cooler in that closet! The cooler was a fantastic item to have - thank you!!
For context it was just my wife and I and we had 6 nights there. We felt we had plenty of space, but since we had so many nights we were able to fully unpack and tuck our suitcases out of the way. It didn't feel cramped or too small, even for a weeklong stay, because you have the Lanai and the pool is steps out side your front door.
Beach: we loved the beach at the bottom of the hill! It was great, and shady and close! We also walked along the shore all the way to hanalei bay beach, and swam across the little canal to get onto that beach. It's not shady and more of a typical beab experience.

My husband and I spent the second half of our week-long Kauai honeymoon here and it was fantastic! The location was a great home base from which we could explore the northern half of the island in the morning, then return to relax and enjoy the sunset in the afternoon and evening. The studio is the perfect size for two people, clean, nicely furnished, and the AC and in-unit laundry were a godsend. Above all we will miss the stunning view. Thanks to Milo and Theresa!

We had a perfect stay at Milo and Theresa's lovely studio at HBR. Everything was lovely inside the apartment with everything we needed for our stay and a few convenient extras that helped us on outings (example: a cooler with ice packs and a spare golf umbrella). The mauka view (overlooking both the HBR main pool and tennis courts) was spectacular and we had rain about half the time and saw lots of waterfalls. A shama bird has his territory nearby and we heard his songs daily. The owners are a dream to deal with. Bed super comfortable. *** Regarding HBR, we felt they were great to deal with and that we got a lot for our resort fee; we used the pools and the beach - reports that say the beach has been degraded by hotel construction seem somewhat exaggerated to us now - the beach has all the large trees remaining, the path is nice and it was lightly attended even during Easter week. If you want food to go from HBR's happy Talk lounge, order it in person BEFORE 5:00 pm *** Our only complaint (not the owner's fault) was the RESORT internet - horrible - slow - frequent outages. Download stuff before arriving. [Anyway, TV is ancient and you can't stream apps to it.] *** We had some issues with the Foodland Grocery store - very run down now - they still have a lot there BUT some things are in short supply or limited choices (dairy and eggs in particular). Stop instead at Safeway on the way thru Kapaa town. *** Many local restaurants no longer take reservations. Our best night out was to show up in person at the Hanalei Dolphin when they open at 4:30pm... get an immediate cocktail and appetizer and book at dinner table for 5:30. Early but guaranteed and awesome food and beverages. *** Tough to find parking now at Tunnels and beyond on the North Shore. There's a state park now at the end of the road - book it on line in advance. *** Bottom line: awesome 5-star property; book it if you can get it. ;-)

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The lenai was so awesome and overlooks hanalei bay as well as the mountains, the beach access was so fun to walk down to, and we enjoyed the hot tub and facilities (grilled dinners out in the shared cabana space as well as cooked in the room too.) Milo and Theresa were super communicative and responsive. Overall couldn’t have asked for a better time! We would love to stay again.

What we loved : Clean condo with an exceptional view. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Resort was charming with nice pool and hot tub area. Nearby beaches are fantastic and the local restaurants were excellent nearby. Amenities for beach provided were great and useful.
What we didn't love: the shower has no door. this problem was attempted to be corrected by hanging a cheap shower curtain with a curved rod that leaves the plastic hanging over right where the water comes out of the shower head. It's quite annoying and not what I come to expect when showering on vacation. Water gets all over the bathroom as the curtain doesn't do its job not to mention the drafts from no doors.
The functionality of the furniture in the room was not ideal. Just too much bulky furniture that we never used. There is a table set for two both inside the room, repeated on the balcony, two bar stools at the counter and a full size couch with chair and large coffee table . It's like we were meant to entertain 10 guests in a small efficiency condo. But yet there was only 3 small drawers to place all our clothes and nowhere convenient to set our luggage up to use on the luggage stands because of all the bulky furniture. Functionality for storing personal items shouldn't be an afterthought in vacation rentals.
Lastly the parking lot was always packed and with no designated parking spaces by your room, you end up walking pretty far most of the time.

This Condo has amazing views of Hanalei bay! The sunsets are spectacular. The stunning beach at the bottom of the hill is basically a private beach. It is situated in an easy spot to get to within the community. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook and the bed is really comfortable. The facility has nice grills which we used quite often. The host, Milo was very responsive and he left us fresh coffee upon our arrival. He also checked up on us to make sure our arrival went well. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I loved our stay at HBR. Milo and Theresa were very helpful with communication prior to and during our stay. There was even a scenic postcard waiting for us when we returned home to Wisconsin which brought us such joy after a long day of traveling. The unit itself is small but definitely adequate for 2 adults. The view from the Lanai is beautiful! As the description points out, you can hear the shuttle carts somewhat but that did not bother us. We did not cook in the kitchen so I can’t speak to that. We used the coffee maker and it was nice to have a full size refrigerator. The Princeville neighborhood leading to HBR is very nice. It is also a short drive down to the town of Hanalei which we enjoyed exploring. The pool was nice and not crowded. We enjoyed a few morning walks down to the small beach area, but preferred to swim and snorkel at nearby Anini Beach. We drove all over the island…from the end of the road at Ha’ena to the other end at Waimea Canyon. The north shore was by far the most relaxed and beautiful. Milo and Theresa, and the staff at HBR are wonderful hosts. We hope to return someday!

The unit was perfectly positioned to every part of the resort! We loved every sunrise/sunset DAILY from our Lanai or Happy Talk Restaurant, right down the sidewalk. The lanai has a view that pictures do not do it justice. All the conveineneces of home are inside the unit.. We slept very well & enjoyed the pool & beach immensely.

The apartment was beautifully furnished with a spectacular view. The four-poster bed was the centerpiece - very handsome. The kitchenette was small but well equipped. Last, but by no means least, the owner was exceptionally gracious and responsive - a pleasure to interact with, really!

This studio was a very nice space for my husband and me - a bit snug, but had everything we needed. The view from the lanai was super, though it was usually too windy out there for us to hang out. We really enjoyed having a small kitchen and laundry in-unit. The only oddity from our perspective were no door on the shower/toilet side of the bathroom (so if you're sensitive about privacy, no one else can brush their teeth or do laundry).
The pool area is the best I've ever spent time in - that hot tub is now my favorite in the world. We hope they can expand the pool bar opening to more weekdays soon!
Milo was an extremely responsive host, helping us with early check in even on short notice. I would definitely return when I can!

Great experience renting this unit at the HBR from Milo and Theresa. From start to finish the reservation process was a breeze. Milo is very responsive to inquiries and we couldn’t have asked for a better unit for our 4 nt stay in Princeville. This smaller unit was perfect for a couple and the location was A+. The pool is literally steps away and there is convenient parking just outside :) We really appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella that was provide in the unit, although we didn’t need the beach umbrella for the few days we ventured out to Anini Beach since there is plenty of shade available. We absolutely loved this beach!!
We were in luck since the pool bar at the HBR has now opened back up, but still has limited days it seemed. We were here Thursday 6/24- Sunday 6/27 and we received a msg from the front desk that the pool bar would be unavailable from Sunday 6/27 - Wednesday 6/30. The Happy Talk bar and restaurant is still closed though.
Getting to Hanalei Bay is still quite a mess due to the landslide and although it’s only a few miles away, they are still adhering to a schedule of times allowed to access the road in and out of Hanalei Bay. Hopefully this will be resolved in the near future.
Lots of dining options in the area, but we found that the Kilauea Market Cafe in the town of Kilauea had great options for meals and we actually dined there all 4 nts. They offer a daily dinner special and are located inside the market. Their burgers are outstanding, individual pizzas very good and we never had a bad meal there :)
Definitely check them out.
We would 💯 recommend this unit to a couple looking to explore Princeville and Hanalei Bay.
