This beautifully appointed condo has everything you need to enjoy the space (inside and out) and the fabulous view. We really didn’t want to leave. It’s a large complex and for us our car was parked a ways away on the property. They do provide golf carts with drivers to transport you and your stuff. It’s a bit hilly so if someone has challenges walking, the carts are at you ready…just give yourself a little extra time.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay. This place had everything our family needed. It even had its own washer and drier. It was super clean and had amazing views from the lanai. We hope to return one day. Mahalo!

HBR is a magical place. The unit is nice and spacious the view is lovely, but you can barely see the water if you care about that. It is still lovely
My issue was mainly the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom. Both dated which is expected but dealing with cockroaches in the kitchen everyday was not OK
The bathroom is so so small with no ventilation which meand mildew in shower which could hanve been easily dealt with with better cleaning and some bleach. Taking a shower was notpleasant
The rest of the unit was nice and clean and the bedroon very comfortable. Unfortunatelt, I dont think I would come back to this unit.
The host however, was pretty responsive

This unit was absolutely perfect for us! The bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well, and everything was super clean. This was the most well stocked rental we have ever stayed in with everything you could want available in the closet (beach chairs, coolers, etc.) and the kitchen. The view from the lanai was exactly as pictured. We spent so much time enjoying that peaceful, private paradise of a view that we didn’t do half of the activities we had planned. We did make it to the pool and Happy Talk, both were wonderful too. Although the property is hilly, it was totally manageable for us even with bad knees, and we did take advantage of the cart service around the property from time to time, a great and quick option. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

This condo was absolutely perfect! I did a lot of research before booking a unit and this was the perfect spot for us. I knew I wanted to stay at HBR, but the units varied in view and condition widely. This condo had an AMAZING view. It is lovely with two lanais. There are no units in front of of it and it feels quiet and peaceful. It is a steep walk to the parking and main resort pool, but if you don't have mobility challenges it is fine. It is nice to be separated from cars and noise from other guests, we didn't mind at all.
This condo is decorated beautifully and is filled with little details that add to the experience; tropical diffusers, high end bath products, plush towels, thoughtfully coordinated accessories that all add to the relaxed and tropical vibe. It's little details like this that set it apart from other rentals and create an environment for a relaxing vacation. I am a self admitted particular traveler, and details like this matter to me and wanted to share my opinion with others.
The condo was very well stocked; laundry detergent, coffee filters, cooking oil and some spices; garbage bags, shower products, beach gear and just about anything you would need. The only thing we missed was a small cooler bag for lunches and a travel coffee mug or insulated cup for beverages, which would be easy to bring from home.
Overall, this unit was great if you are considering a stay at HBR. If we ever return to the island again we will stay here for sure!

Overall this unit was clean, spacious and comfortable. The view of Hanalei Bay is great. It would have been helpful to know that this is a difficult place to get around if you have mobility issues. You can't park your car anywhere near your unit and it is a looong walk uphill. My wife does have mobility issues and we had to get a bellboy to pick us up and drop us off to our room, at least two times at day. There's nothing on the ad, or in the pictures that indicated this reality. Not impressed.

The views from this unit are stunningly beautiful. Two sliding glass doors open out onto an amphitheater of beautifully landscaped grounds with the Hanalei mountains in the background. The view from the unit alone is worth it, with incredible sunrises and sunsets sweeping across the valley.
The property itself is clean, air-conditioned (bonus!) and well-equipped with everything you might need.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with docile nene geese roaming around. It is a little hilly and a bit of a walk from the parking lot. You can easily call for a friendly attendant to drive you to and from your unit if you prefer not to walk, however, be aware that they gratefully accept tips.
A little different from your standard VRBO property, this is a resort-type facility that makes some, but not all, of its amenities available to the private unit owners. This unit happens to be privately owned, so if you need any extra services, like extra towels or something, you need to contact the owner. We were perfectly happy with everything, and never needed to contact the owner. We would definitely visit again and are already planning our next trip here!

We loved everything about this resort. The resort had beautiful, lush, mature landscaping. The large pool was perfect for our 2 yr old daughter! They had a kiddie pool area with toys and sand. The beach was great for swimming and snorkeling. We saw so many different fish and sea turtles. The condo had amazing views of the mountains! We will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone! My husband and I were here for a short visit and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff on the resort were extremely friendly and helpful to us. We enjoyed the restaurant on site, the pool, and the private beach access from the resort. The home was private and quiet away from the middle of the resort which we loved. The house was spotless and had everything we could have needed. We loved having the lanai and enjoyed it’s amazing views every morning and evening. It was such a beautiful spot and we would love to return in the future!

Great view without any other buildings in line of sight from back porch. This condo had everything we needed to make a great stay! The resort is gorgeous with a lot of hills to walk up and down, so keep that in mind. The Happy Talk Lounge is a very awesome restaurant with stellar views, too! No complaints about anything. We had a great time!

The property is beautiful, get ready to walk lots of uphill though. There is a shuttle service you can call for but we didn't feel like all the tipping everytime we wanted to go to the car so we walked. The unit is nice and has good accommodations. The dishwasher was broke for us but the owner is responsive and kind. The location had some crabby neighbors who didn't like that we had our TV at 25/100 playing music at 930pm with our kids as we played card games, but that's not the units fault. There is beach access, but it's a rocky beach and not close. If you want beautiful views and nice accommodations this is a great place. If you want oceanfront with a good beach this isn't for you.

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon staying in this condo in Hanalei Bay Resort! The unit is spotless and the bed is so comfy, but the best part is the VIEWS!! Right from the bed! The property of the resort is also gorgeous and has a few good restaurants on it as well which was very convenient. The drive to Hanalei town is only a few minutes and about 30 mins to Haena state park. The only negative I can think is that the jacuzzi wasn’t working while we were there and our last night the new neighbors were pretty loud through the walls. Other than that, loved our stay!

Absolutely stunning view and modern unit was perfect for our family. The view of the bay is one of our reasons for coming back to Princeville/Hanalei and it didn’t disappoint. The unit was well located within the complex and had nice modern decor. TV was large and equipped with all the main streaming apps to sign-in, which was useful especially with our toddler.
I also appreciated the little touches of having hair straightener and feminine products in the restroom although I brought my own, but it was the thought that counted.
Would definitely recommend and go again!

My husband, step son, and I hopped over from Oahu for a quick getaway.
The place was exactly as pictured.
It was clean and decored with simple yet elegant touches. The view was spectacular and the walk to beach, although could be steep for some, was a nice.
-The unit was well supplied although we spent most of our time exploring and didn't use many of the items available. If we were staying for a longer stay this has everything we would need beside the food and the clothes we bring.
-The pool and hot tube were well maintained and elegantly lite for a great island ambiece..
I have already recommended this location to a few friends that are currently looking. I will definitely look at booking here again for future trips out to Kauai.

We were very pleased with our condo (8132). It was exactly like the pictures from the owner. The down side of the property was the steep hills you had to climb to go anywhere. They did offer a ride if you wanted. The pool bar was closed and one of the restaurant’s also closed. You also have to pay $32 a day for the resort fee and parking directly to the resort on arrival. The location was excellent with a grocery store and restaurant’s nearby. Hanalei was 10 min. down the road for shopping. I would advise you to book through VRBO so you can choose your condo, not through the resort. Hope this helps you make a decision!

The view from this unit is absolutely unreal - I couldn't stop taking pictures. Mountains, waterfalls, Hanalei Bay below... The sunsets can't be beat. The condo itself has all new furnishings and finishes, was very clean and comfortable. Lots of lovely touches like a tiki glass collection and bar, and thoughtful extras, like beach gear (bags, snorkels, chairs), etc. One appliance wasn't working when we arrived so the owner had it fixed during our stay, which was great. Communication was excellent. The pool, grounds, restaurants, and people at the resort are all just lovely. Thank you for hosting us!

We loved every part of our stay. The location was perfect and we had our coffee every morning looking out at the majestic mountains. The snorkeling at our own beach here was amazing and we swam with a turtle! We would definitely come back!

Great condo with access to a quiet beach with good snorkeling. Easy access to Hanalei Bay. The condo has a nice view of the bay and ocean. Beach is accessible by resort golf cart service. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The pool was a hit with my 9 and 7 year old. My only two negatives would be the AC was broken in the master bedroom and the resort pool bar was not open. Other than that, this place met or exceeded all expectations.

This condo was absolutely beautiful inside and the view was incredible! There were some extra resort fees such as parking, $10 for each car, and $25 for something else. The VRBO listing said checkout was at 11 am but the resort check-out is 10 am so that's when we had to leave. Our condo was too far to walk with our belongings, and when I called for a ride they forgot to put my ticket in and we waited for almost 40 minutes. The condo had everything we needed and it was so relaxing. Would definitely love to stay here again.

We were so enchanted with our experience in Princeville! The location was very private and an incredible view of Hanalei Bay, especially at sunset and sunrise! The condo was beautifully designed and had everything you could ever want! Even yeti cups for our coffee and everything you could need for the beach: coolers, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, beach mat…. We were thrilled and can’t wait to come back!

We’ve stayed at the Hanalei Bay Resort several times and this is probably our favorite room so far. The walk is a bit steeper than we were expecting, but the resort offers golf cart pickups, which we took full advantage of, especially when we had a lot of bags to transport. It was great being so close to the grills (which are kept in really great condition BTW). The resort staff was excellent and the grounds and pool are immaculate. This place was super clean, super well-appointed, and super well-decorated. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Lovely condo with a beautiful view. Very nice finish out with beach toys and chairs available and nicely outfitted kitchen. Note that the on-site restaurant and bar have limited hours (currently closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Resort beach was perfect - quiet area and calm(er) waters that made for good snorkeling and relaxing on the beach.
