My husband and I had a great week staying at the Hanalei Bay Resort. The views from the balcony were absolutely sublime and we so enjoyed having our breakfast out there every morning and planning our day. We have been to Kauai several times before and experienced much that the island has to offer, so we actually did spend a lot of time in the condo and out on that balcony! :) Laurie had the condo stocked with many supplies and equipment for the beach, etc so that was great! Thank you Laurie! The only downside is that the property in general needs some updating. One restaurant appears to have been closed for a long time and same with the swim-up bar; but they were working on that while we were there, so that is a good thing. We wish they had pickleball courts (but heard that they might be putting some in, so we'll check back) All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and think it is a great value. We would love to go back, but we will probably wait and see when/if upgrades happen.

The views from the balcony of this beautiful condo were absolutely stunning and it was wonderful to be able to walk to the beach. Although the condo is a distance from the parking lot, the resort quickly responded to any request for golf cart transportation.

The unit is incredibly nice and has the best view on the entire island. 10/10 would recommend. The room is nice, the hotel/grounds are beautiful, and the view is unbeatable. Stop searching and book this unit

We had the most amazing time! It's a great place and perfect for a couple. I think it probably has the best view in the whole resort. The resort itself has a super chill relaxing vibe. We hiked in Haena and it was nice to come back and hang out in the hot tub ( also with views ) . We went to the bar on premise every night. The staff is super friendly and the food is good. Highly recommend

You cannot beat the views. Condo was spacious and quiet. We did not hear anyone at all during our 8 days. Loved that we got to use chairs, umbrellas and boogie board. Will miss our morning coffee on the lanai and the sunsets from there as well. Will stay again in 9202 in the future. Mahalo.

We stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon and loved it!! The views are unbeatable and the location is great to access all things on the Northern part of the island. The unit was clean and just as described. It’s also very convenient that several units in this building share a deck box full of beach items to use. Overall we had the best time and would love to return in the future!

My Wife and I decided to stay here for our 10 year anniversary based on the good reviews and as soon as we walked through the doors we were blown away by the beautiful view! Some of our greatest memories from our trip were just sitting on the lanai eating breakfast, reading books, or just watching the surfers. We had great interactions with the all of the resort staff. This is really a fantastic place to stay and if we are lucky enough to come back to Kauai we hope to book this condo again!

Oh my goodness what a beautiful place to spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary !! The property was spectacular, the condo was among the best we’ve ever stayed in, the view, Breathtaking!! Laurie and Steve provided us with so much helpful information, every question we would have ever had was answered before we even arrived!
This vacation, this island honestly was a dream come true!! We can not wait to come back❤️🌴❤️

We felt so lucky finding this place. It has a beautiful view of Hanalei Bay that is amazing to wake up to. The north shore in general is wonderful, best part of the island and we had such easy access to it all. The supplied chairs, umbrellas, and cooler made it easy for us to beach hop. We would happily come back!

Hanalei Bay is our new favorite resort. The resort is very large and this room is by far in the best location at the resort with the view of the bay and mountains. Laurie was also very informative and responsive. Will be staying here again!

This Princeville condo has the best view possible. We enjoyed sunsets, rainbows, ocean views, and even the full moon over the bay. The sound of the waves at night made for perfect sleeping along with the super comfortable king bed. The amenities and people at the resort were great too. We look forward to our stay next year.

The condo is great- well stocked and furnished. The property is beautiful, we loved the pool and the beach below the resort. Waking up each morning to the sun rising around the mountains and bay and the sunsets are breathtaking. It’s so peaceful here.
The only thing we wanted to point out is the pool bar is closed (we were told it’s a legal matter with the state). Also, parking can be difficult if you arrive back at the resort in the evening. Other than that, we loved staying here and can’t wait to come back again. Mahalo!

The condo and view from the patio are both beautiful! We watched sunset from the patio every single night for a week and a half. We stayed in the main (middle) unit. We had people on both sides of us. We could hear people slightly but no different than a hotel with people around you. The building is further away from everything which is quiet and peaceful. We cut through the tennis courts to make the walk a little shorter, but you can call a golf cart to your unit if you don't want to walk.
The only issues we ran into were not deal breakers but just something to note for others to be aware of: The Checkin and Checkout time listed on the VRBO listing is different than the resort times. We had an issue getting into the unit and leaving the unit. The resort was rude to us at Checkin and would not let us into the unit. I showed them proof of the listing Checkin time on the VRBO app and they finally let us in. The same thing happened at Checkout. I went up to the front desk the night before and got it cleared up for us. The day of Checkout the cleaning crew showed up 1.5 hours early and was very rude. The woman in charge tried threatening me that she was going to call the owners. I told her to go right ahead bc I cleared it with the front desk and the Checkout time is in writing on the VRBO app. Again these were not deal breakers for us, but they were rather bothersome to deal with. I would recommend this unit or this building of units for your vacation. The view is breathtaking!

This condo has the most amazing view. The pull out couch is comfy and we had plenty of room. The decor is super cute. When we arrived we could hear a beep from a neighboring fire alarm, but it was taking care of in a timely manner. We really enjoyed our stay.

What an unbelievable view from this condo! We could have stayed for a week here. Very spacious and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked too. Wasn't initially aware this was in such a large resort, but the amenities were worth it. Just wish you could park your car closer to the actual building.

Our unit was very clean and well equipped. View of the mountains and waterfalls from the lanai are jaw dropping. We were in constant awe at the beauty surrounding us. Definitely will be a trip that's hard to top. Highly recommend Hanalei Bay Resort and this unit in particular. We found the checkout fee of $32 per day which is a daily resort plus parking fee excessive. I guess you have to pay for paradise. Hope to come back here sooner than later.

My wife and I just spent 5 weeks on Kauai staying at locations all over the island, and I can tell you that you will not find a better location or better condo than Laurie's at HBR. I have stayed at other condos in HBR, and while they were all very nice, none compared to the uniqeness of this condo. The view is not only unobstructed, it is unspoiled. All you see is Pu'u Poa Beach, Hanalei Bay, and beautiful Mt. Makana (Bali Hai). It is simply an unbeatable view. The condo itself is very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. Oh, and the view from the bed? Already described it! It's unbeatable. HBR has a nice pool area, it is an easy walk down to the beach and the condo has beach chairs and other items to make your stay enjoyable.

We were seriously amazed by the view right when we walked in. It’s better in person than in the pictures. It’s been 5 days since we got home and I’m still sad to have left. The condo was very comfortable and we enjoyed lounging on the patio and taking in the view everyday. Laurie was super fast to respond to my questions and we felt very fortunate to have this condo. The condo had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. I slept so well every night. We appreciated the storage bin out front with snorkels and beach chairs too. Can’t wait to return!

The view from this property was spectacular!!! The unit was clean, updated, and tastefully decorated. The property surrounding the unit was also very beautiful. We had 1 issue that kept this from a perfect rating. The doors between the units have open slats which resulted in our neighbors being able to hear everything in our unit and vice versa. When we were able to speak with the property manager she informed us that the doors will be fixed in January so this should solve the problem.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we were simply blown away. The view from this unit is unmatched. After a good rain, we were able to see five waterfalls from our balcony! The unit itself is fully stocked, clean, and comfortable. The resort was beautiful and we can’t wait to come back! The only thing we will do differently next time is bring our entire family to show off this incredible place!

The onsite bar and food options are limited. Otherwise, the pool, tennis courts and property grounds are lovely. I recommend tennis lessons with the pro shop! The apartment was fully accommodating with a large kitchen and living room.

The view is exactly as pictured. Spectacular. The unit is great—had everything we needed. Our only criticism (and I’d still give it 5 stars) is that the bed was really creaky, which made sleeping tough. That said, we still don’t want to stay anywhere else in Hanalei.

Incredible view with many extras! This place has views from the balconies that are breathtaking! It is super clean and is supplied with all of the little extras that really make a difference. There is a gift basket with a lot of Hawaiian snacks and coffee that we really appreciated! The storage closet with beach chairs and umbrellas and coolers really came in handy when we wanted to go down to Hanalei Bay. If we ever get a chance to come back we would book this place again in a heartbeat! My husband kept thanking me for finding this condo. :-)

If you are thinking about booking it, just do it! This was our first time in Kauai, celebrating our honeymoon after being in Maui for a week. We LOVED this place! It’s spacious and the view you simply CANNOT beat, the photos do not do it justice! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, a great supply of toilet paper, laundry and dishwasher pods and dish soap (not all places always include this). Additionally, there’s a closet stocked with Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and beach coolers. Laurie also included a welcome basket with Mac nut chocolates, Hawaiian chips, and coffee. One thing to note, it’s the furthest building from the parking lot, but if you get groceries or have a lot to carry all you have to do is call down to the front desk and someone will quickly pick you up from the parking lot in a golf cart, they are running all day long! Lastly, you are walking distance to queens baths, it’s hard to find parking and is a very popular hike/lookout (definitely a must do). We absolutely loved our stay here and plan to be back, we miss it already!!

Excellent location. Very walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Loved having a washer and dryer and they supplied basic cleaning and cooking supplies so that was really convenient on the nights we wanted to cook. We weren’t sure about the pool because we saw something posted at the resort about needing a reservation, but we didn’t want to go to the pool any of the days so it didn’t really matter. Overall great place in a very cute town!

We loved our stay here! The condo had everything we needed. Loved having easy access to beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers and a washer/dryer! The walk to the beach was easy enough down but definitely needed to call for a lift back (this is covered by the resort fee!). What a lovely well equipped and fully furnished unit. Loved having breakfast on the balcony overlooking Hanalei Bay. Gorgeous sunsets. All furnishings were comfortable and well kept--especially liked the sectional. Kitchen nice size. Had a few issues but owner was quick to respond. What would have made it excellent was being able to have available the use of some beach items like beach chairs, beach mats, small coolers. Having stayed at HBR several times, the units we stayed in made these items available to use throughout our stay. Other than that, it was hard to leave. Mahalo Laurie for a great unit.

This property was amazing!! It had the most beautiful view of the island I have ever seen. We woke up to rainbows and it was a short walk to the beach. The owners thought of everything, with a lovely gift basket when we arrived, beach equipment, and anything we could have needed or wanted. When we come back we would love to stay again. This condominium has breathtaking views of Hanalei Bay. It has luxerious beds and furniture. We enjoyed hanging out on the lanai with the binoculars and enjoyed the spectacular sunsets. The resort is on beautiful grounds with a fun pool and hot tub with waterfalls and views. My family enjoyed snorkeling at the beaches within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and wish that we could have stayed longer at this magical place.
