Not only is the Hanalei Bay Resorts’ pool one of the best on Kauai, the views from the one, two and three bedroom condo suites are amazing. Unlike some of the units that have 8 ft ceilings, our condo has 16 ft. cathedral ceilings making the space even more spacious and airy. Studio has its own private lanai, with outdoor sitting to enjoy your incredible views or to enjoy the nightly live entertainment coming from Happy Talk Restaurant. We also provide "free" to our guests, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and igloos while other units may not offer this.

This is one of the few units where you DO NOT need a "shuttle" to be taken to unit. It is located right next to the parking lot. Most units at Hanalei Bay Resort require a use of a personal shuttle bus to reach their destination.

(3) Correction: NO snorkeling gear/beach blanket provided but instead 2 boogie boards, igloo, beach umbrella, 2 beach chairs and 2 rain umbrellas are provided under beach amenities.
(4) Bathroom is design as a wet shower area which allows for the floors to get wet outside the shower area. Please use rug towel.

Please know that our studio condo is on the 3rd top floor, stairs must be climbed, there is no elevator.

GETTING AROUND:
Unless you’re on a fairly leisurely schedule, you’ll need a car or other motorized vehicle to see and do everything on Kauai, which has one major road—one lane in each direction, in most places—that rings the island except along the Napali Coast. During rush hour, from about 6 to 9am and 3 to 6pm, the road between Lihue and Kapaa—the central business district—can turn into a giant parking lot, even with a third, “contra-flow” lane whose direction is determined by time of day. Bypass roads in Kipu (when heading north from Poipu) and Kapaa (when heading south) can alleviate some of the stress, but plan accordingly.
Note: The top speed is 50mph, with many slower sections in residential and business areas. Addresses in this chapter will use Kaumualii Highway (Hwy. 50) and Kuhio Highway (Hwy. 56/560), following local convention. Since highway addresses can be hard to spot (if marked at all), directions may be given with mile marker numbers, cross streets, and/or the descriptors mauka (toward the mountains) and makai (toward the sea).
By Car--All of the major car-rental agencies are represented on Kauai. At the airport baggage claim, cross the street to catch one of the frequent shuttle vans to the rental lots.

Milo’s place was in a great spot with an awesome view. Golf carts down to the beach with your beach gear (about 5min) comes as part of the separate resort fee which Milo was very up front about. He included chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear. The resort includes fresh beach towels everyday.
AC was limited to 70 degrees which actually felt colder than that with the fan on. We keep our home AC at 68 & this felt just as cold if not colder. Actually raised the temp a few times.
Bed was comfortable and plenty of room for 2 people.
Overall great stay and one of the best locations on the North Shore. The North shore is much more sleepy beach vibes and relaxation than the south (and of course has more amazing views and lush garden landscapes).

This was a great room, with a lovely view at a clean, quiet and relaxing property. The property is very well located for various activities such as snorkeling, boating, and hiking. It was nice that the room had beach chairs and boogie boards as well as sunscreen in the closet for guests. The restaurant was no longer open, but a bar had food, and there was an on-site pizza to-go service. Also the hot tub was inoperable awaiting a new pump. I'd be happy to stay here again!

Loved this property, convenient ammenities, beach access w/shuttle was a plus. This unit had a great view of activities on grounds (pool and tennis courts) Hanalei Bay and waterfalls after rain storms. Beautiful and picturesque resort on Hanalei Bay. Gorgeous landscaping, pool, and mountain/bay vistas from our balcony. Everyone very friendly. Enjoyed the music and food at Happy Talk restaurant. Easy walk up and down the hill to the beach and neighboring 1 Hotel. Great central location to explore Napili coast and the North Shore. Enjoyed the hula lesson and lei-making class! Not much to complain about! Very attentive and gracious host.

We enjoyed our overall stay. It is as described with regards to being close to the main house and pool. We definitely used the beach chairs and umbrella as we walked down to the beach. We appreciated the thoughtful stocking of the studio. The balcony was wonderful! Parking near the unit was a bit difficult in the evenings but we always found something. Would recommend!

We had a great time. Our room overlooked the pool and had beautiful mountain views. The parking was right near the condo. It was perfect for just the two of us. Note to newcomers - you must have a car, the restaurant is only open from 3-9 but there are restaurants near the hotel just not within walking distance.

We loved staying here. Everything in the unit was clean and organized. We loved having the microwave, toaster and mini fridge available, as on a few nights we enjoyed leftovers for dinner out on the lanai, with that amazing view. We also used the beach cooler, chairs and snorkel equipment quite a few times and loved having all that available. We will definitely come back sometime in the future.

We had a great stay at Milo and Teresa's place. It met our expectations. The view from the porch was incredible. We had our morning coffee there each morning. The unit is small but sufficient. The communication and check in were flawless. The unit came with a small cooler we took to area beaches and two beach chairs that were in rough condition but nice to have. I would recommend the unit to others and hope to make it back again ourselves.

The condo is amazing. It is well located within the resort, next to the parking lot but facing the beautiful mountain and beach view while next to pool. Milo and Theresa have all the appliances needed to cook and make drinks (resort restaurant and pool bar is closed) . There are grills to make food which at first I didnt want to cook but it was very nice to do so because we didnt want to eat out for ten days and we knew this wouldnt be an option in our other stays. Great communication with the host and front desk was very helpful. The hotel has a path to a private beach and it is very close to the secret beach nearby. Would definitely recommend this unit in the resort, there are some that have more foot traffic and the view here was just amazing. Thank you , Milo & Theresa
