This studio condo was perfect for our needs. We were out all day exploring Kauai and primarily slept and showered here. It was very clean, organized, and we could tell it was thoughtfully stocked. It was in a convenient location to explore the north shore and was easy to get in and out of. Finding it was initially a little difficult in the dark, as we had to wander around to check the numbers on each building. Definitely recommend parking in the larger lot towards the back - it is closer than the little front parking lot. Check in and out were very easy and Mike was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again if we travel to Kauai!

Basic necessities were covered at the property. We were there for two weeks and enjoyed great morning walks along the golfcourse path and around the local neighborhoods. The pool was really cold so we didn't use it. Hot tub had a huge deep step that a few older people had a hard time getting out of. There should have been a sign.

We typically stay in resorts when we travel to Hawai'i. This time we chose to try a vacation rental while searching for the perfect beach to plan our wedding. Megan's property is a cute ground-level 1 bedroom condo in a nice community of condos. All of the amenities are needed for you to stay in and cook, do laundry, or even hide from the winter rain. Megan was very easy to contact and even offered great insights to local beaches. We had a wonderful time and look forward to next year.

We were excited to return to Kauai, last trip was in 2009. Kimberlee’s unit fit our needs exactly. We didn’t travel to Hawaii for a lot of cooking, but the kitchenette had everything we needed before heading out to enjoy the island. The venue gave us easy access to hiking and the ocean. The pool, as well as the hot tub, was very clean and well maintained. There were two new Weber grills by the pool if you wanted to cook up a meal. We enjoyed our private lanai for relaxing at the end of the day. At night the complex was very quiet, and the bed comfortable. You’ll be happy with your stay on Kauai.

My husband and I decided to visit Kauai last minute and found this beautiful condo on Vrbo. We absolutely loved staying there, property was very nice, beautiful and clean with everything we needed for our 1 week stay, I noticed how organized everything was and had little notes on how to use stuff and reminders, loved having full sized washer and dryer in the unit next to kitchen. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Bedroom had extra blanket and pillows in the closet that I really needed and appreciated (I get cold at night easily) Condo was more roomier than we expected, we felt like home. Check in and out was easy, communication was very easy mostly through text. Mike was very friendly and helpful, we had no issues at all. We will definitely be back and say here again.

We had a nice stay here, everything was adequate, but outdated. The appliances in the posted photos do not match the stove and fridge in the suite. The fridge exterior is covered in rust spots, but worked properly. It met our needs and had everything available to cook in the suite, which was nice. The pool, hot tub and bbq facilities were great and very appreciated. The biggest disappointment we had was paying extra for the late check out (2pm) and finding out we were locked out of our suite at 1pm. Luckily the door from the patio into the bedroom was open (and and been the entire time we stayed, since we had assumed it would have been locked when we arrived for security), otherwise we would have been locked out without our phones to contact customer support.

Clean and comfortable condo that's right off of the main road in and out of town. A little tricky to find at first - it's tucked away amidst many similar units on its block. But once you're there, it's easy-access to pretty much everything you want to do on the northern shore of Kauai and the Hanalei Bay area. Our host was very responsive and even left a whiteboard filled with local recommendations for eating and activities! Highly recommend for a cozy, relaxing place to stay while enjoying Kauai!

So…. Let’s start with the positives. This unit was conveniently located, had access to a nice pool & hot tub, and had the bare necessities. It was also an affordable option for a last minute trip, so we got what we paid for. However— the room did not feel clean, there was very poor lighting in the unit, and for how expensive our stay was (and I’m sure other’s stays), it was in poor condition. The mats were falling apart, the bedding didn’t fit the bed or the pillows, the dishware smelt like mildew, the cabinets were sealed shut from excessive paint, and the water pressure was next to none…. What really did us in was the check out notes saying if we used more than 2 towels we would be charged $35 per load to wash…. And on top of that, had to clean the unit/take out the trash/run the dishwasher/etc before check out. Now— I would have done this regardless. But after charging hundreds of dollars for a cleaning fee, it’s incredible to me that they have these expectations and rules for the guests to essentially do all the cleaning otherwise they would impose hefty and unreasonable fees. Luckily we only used the unit to sleep, otherwise I think we would have had a lot more to say about the conditions of the property. Unfortunately, we will not return or use this property for future stays.

I didn't realize it didn't have AC, but the weather was mild, they had fans, and it actually got pretty chilly in the evening, so it was comfortable. Big, and great condo for our stay!

We did not make use of the pool but it looked nice. The neighborhood is very quiet. I loved the walking trail along the golf course in the morning. There a few hikes / walks in the area as well and it’s a quick trip down to Hanalei. Would love to stay again.

This Sandpiper studio was totally perfect for my solo four night stay in Princeville. It was exactly as described and you can't beat the price. Easy check-in and out and I had no problem parking in the immediate lot. The basic amenities were all I needed and all in a setting of mountains and ocean with shops nearby. This home base for my North Kauai adventures was comfortable and I was in the hot tub every evening after amazing hikes including the Kalalau (Napali Coast) trail. Anything else you want me to double down on or add? I’ve been coming to Kauai for decades and I have a good pulse on what we need, don’t need, and will realistically use during our vacation. We scoured the internet for rental options that checked all of my boxes; it’s no easy feat because, as people can imagine, there’s endless options, but that could require settling.That is not the case with this rental. Located in the heart of Princeville, we were surrounded by beauty, walkable neighborhoods and easy access to everything on the North Shore. You cannot beat the location - from the quick drive to Hanalei, to being able to walk to the shopping center where you can find a grocery store, a number of shops and restaurants, and nearby scenic views. The Sandpiper community felt homey and comfortable. We were greeted with the neighborly pleasantries, and you can hear families gather, enjoy their time together, and it was anything but pretentious. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends or your family, this community is great. Traveling to Kauai with just one friend, we landed on this unit because it checked all of our boxes. We prioritized location, parking, air conditioning and beach items. We spent most of our time outside of the rental, but coming back to somewhere that felt like our home away from home brought more peace to our trip. As far as the in-unit factors go, the AC worked well, however, we did not need it at night. The bed was quite comfortable with supportive pillows (coming from someone with neck problems), the kitchenette was well stocked. Hawaii Life was flexible and communicated often, ensuring that we were happy, asking for feedback that could help future guests. We could not have asked for a better rental agency to work with. We are already discussing when to come back and cannot wait until we do.

In an older condo development, the unit is well-maintained and very clean. The parking space is within about ten feet of the front door, very convenient for us old tired folk! All the conveniences of home and a very comfortable firm bed.
We had one plumbing problem and the personable owner showed up with the plumber and the whole thing was fixed within about an hour. Very impressive service.

We had a wonderful stay in Princeville at the condo unit 229A! The condo is exactly as pictured! It's clean and comfortable and the kitchen worked great. The washer/dryer is inside the unit which is a great help. The bed on the second floor is a little softer than the main room bed. The air conditioning was a massive relief from the September heat!
The Princeville market is just a mile away and has a lot of food and shopping. The ocean view is in the distance but the view of the lush garden neighborhood is lovely from the huge deck. We didn't hear the neighbors at all unless they accidentally slammed their door. The reserved parking spot was very helpful. The pool was clean and not too busy. This area is really convenient to get to Hanalei bay in 10 minutes or less. The owner was also easy to get a hold of and kind. Thank you!

What a fantastic stay!! The unit is spacious and well stocked. It is perfectly located to all the best Kaua’i’s North Shore has to offer, including Hanalei for shopping, dining, and beaching, Anini Beach for snorkeling, and Kilauea for good views and eats. We especially enjoyed amenities that this unit offered, including a designated parking space, laundry facilities, beach supplies (towels, snorkel equipment and towels, etc.), and community pool and hot tub. There is no AC in the house, which was my only issue. They did have plenty of fans and it got quite chilly overnight. If it weren’t for the crispy summer we’ve had, the AC wouldn’t have been missed. I’d still come back again.

We loved our homey condo. The kitchen and bathroom had been updated, was in a nice neighborhood of Princeville and had everything in the kitchen we needed to make several dinners during our stay. It was a little warm at night during our stay in early October but once we had all 3 of the fans going we could sleep better.
There’s a grocery store within 5 mins drive and Hanalei is 10 mins down the road by car. We loved it.

The unit was easy to find and check in was simple using a code to access the key. Free parking is a bonus. We met some really nice people (residents and vacationers) at the pool. Absolutely love this side of the island! The unit fit our needs as we didn’t plan on spending much time indoors. Basically a little studio apartment with a comfortable bed, a little table and chairs, and dorm frig. The patio had a table for sitting outside. We used a small cooler to carry some waters with us and there were some other beach items available but I didn’t pay attention as to what. I e quiet area.

This was a great little condo and served us well. We are walkers and didn't rent a car so we were able to walk to beaches and bus line and grocery store all within 30 minutes. Sandpiper Village seems full and busy with lots of turnover, but it was surprisingly quiet. Bob and Heidi were great and helpful and respected our privacy. My son came for a few days and the pull-out couch worked very well.

Communication was excellent. The condo was clean and updated. Lots of nice touches such as a microwave, mini-fridge, beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrella, map of the island with beaches, and makeup towel. Loved the lanai with the table, chairs, and couch. The lanai also had latticework and pull-down shades for privacy. The location in Princeville was great, though you could hear traffic from one of the main roads a block away.

THE GOOD: Location was lovely, appreciated access to the pool, nice to have the availability of things like beach chairs & other equipment, loved spending mornings on the lanai watching the birds, & enjoyed having a bathroom for each bedroom.
THE NOT SO GOOD: Overall this property was a big disappointment when it came to the cleanliness & 2 interactions with the host. We experienced 2 large (4 inches long) cockroaches in the house during our 3 day stay and a gecko in the bedroom. The drapes were stained/dirty, the curtain rods were not adequately attached to the walls & came apart, the fan/light fixtures were extremely dirty with bugs in them, surfaces like light switches & door handle areas were dirty, the carpets were quite dirty/stained, there were stains on the bed sheets, & the cushions on the outdoor chairs were quite filthy and stained. In addition, there was no BBQ as was in the picture and I would consider the A/C as only partial given that there were no vents in 2 bedrooms & the vent that there was in the living area was dripping water from the ceiling onto a placemat on the dining room table. We also found a partial fake eyelash attached to the kitchen scissors.
As for communication with the host , there was no apology at all for the condition of the place. She simply referred to the contract & said we should have said something while were there & nothing could be done such as a refund of the large cleaning fee. Disappointing stay to say the least.

We liked the serene setting, the laundry and items to use that came with the condo, like the ice chest and boogie boards. We liked the convenience of having close parking (to ourselves until the last day when Unit B moved in), a gorgeous spa and pool, and the kitchen items that made us feel at home. Plus we had fast wifi.
The neighbors were all very friendly.
We didn’t like that the windows don’t close all the way, so there’s noise (roosters crowing) that is easily heard, and that we could hear the upstairs neighbors moving around. But that’s “apartment life”, and standard wake up call in Kauai.
Also there’s limited privacy due to the shutter style windows. The good thing is I was aware of this from other reviews and pictures. And since those reviews it looks like they planted some plants to help with the privacy, so it wasn’t bad. Also, I didn’t know the bathroom is in the bedroom. So if you’re expecting privacy/to shut your door, it would leave the 3rd person without a bathroom. It worked just fine for our family.

There were a few cosmetic flaws but the worst of them were that the blinds in the kitchen fell when pulled on to close them, and the pantry door falls off the rail every time you open it. They’re easy fixes, but annoying. The worst part was the cockroaches but I imagine they’re all over the island so we just kept our food in the fridge or sealed. Even with these things we still liked our stay here.
The only recommendations we would’ve liked to have would be a stool for our daughter to reach the sink and maybe a beach umbrella. Otherwise it was excellent.

I found this booking on VRBO when I was planning to come to Kaua’i for an appointment and to see my family. Just me and no husband and kids this time. As soon as I booked Mike reached out to me with a welcome message confirming my stay and a good number to get in contact with me when I arrived. Before I arrived I reached out to Mike with a of couple questions and he was very responsive. The room was ready, very clean and well stocked. I don’t enjoying staying in resorts with lots of people so this was a perfect alternative. Although there are several condos around it’s much more quiet and low key. Perhaps i didnt read the devil in the details very well, but was a little disappointed that there were no laundery options either in the room nor in the neighborhood, nearest laundromat was at leat 30 minutes away. The parking is also dubious. You have to park in unmarked guest spots and not the reserved spaces for your room, so sometimes you have to park on the opposite side of the complex (due to spot-availability) which for a lot of luggage isnt great. Overall enjoyable and would ordinarily be an overall 5 star, but these were kinda notable inconveniences.

The unit was huge and had everything we needed. Mike was amazing at communicating and the whole stay was so enjoyable.

Awesome little Condo. Very quiet. Had everything we needed. Very clean. Had tons of beach stuff available to use. Refrigerator had ice cubes. Everything worked and everything was how it was listed. Very clear and easy instructions. Would stay here again.

I’ve been to Kauai many times and this community where we stayed was perfect. Great views, equipped kitchen and all around amazing home. We will definitely be visiting and staying here again!

It was easy to find/park. We enjoyed our stay, but it was hot inside during the day, we are from Texas and are used to heat, but really missed having a/c!
