This was a cute little unit that met our needs. Had a small issue with the lockbox, but that was me not the lockbox. Under bed had a small dust bunny collection and ice box in fridge was quite iced up, probably due to the heat. Other than that, the unit was in good condition and Janet provided ample towels for our stay. A pleasant area of the island. Overall, enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Janet to rent from for your stay in paradise

The place was good for a short time stay. Parking was quite challenging, there is no designated parking spot and after 6pm there was almost no spot. The building is quite old and washrooms do not have great ventilations. Overall it was a good experience and I do recommend it to others.

This spot was perfect for my wife and I's quick stay on Kauai! It gave us a comfortable spot to regroup and relax as we explored the island and went from activity to activity. We would definitely stay again if we ever are back on the island!

Easy access and location is great. It’s really all you need for two to reset and relax at the end of each day. When you understand Kauai and spending most all the time exploring beaches etc, you just need a place like this providing everything at an affordable price. We plan on staying and using this unit when staying on the north end in the future.

Perfect location, parking was an issue, neighbors were a bit loud at 2am, but that can’t be helped or controlled. Place needs to be fixed up from water damage. Maybe add a fan for bathroom as it was pretty hot getting ready. A fresh paint job could help. Bugs came in the windows. Neighborhood was beautiful.

The location was amazing with a peaceful neighborhood.
The room was spacious and equipped with all the beach supplies. Plenty of towels and basic kitchen essentials to make coffee/heat food. I would highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway. Note that it rains frequently in Princeville and restaurant options are little pricey.

Basic studio at a good price, a differentiator from many of the expensive resort-style places in the area. Not comfy for relaxing because there’s no couch or arm chairs. But fine for just sleeping and cleaning up. The beach gear was a helpful touch - we used the umbrella daily. Host was communicative and allowed us to check in early.

Janet was very communicative and accommodating (she let us check in a bit early!). The condo is just as listed and described: not a lot of bells and whistles, but it had everything you needed as a home base. We appreciated the fan, and it was nice to enjoy breakfast on the lanai. Parking wasn’t too bad (permit was provided), and it was easy to get around - very close to a Foodland as well as other eats.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is really cute and the patio/lanai is particularly nice. It was great to have beach gear we could use, including chairs, a cooler, towels, and snorkel masks. There were shops and restaurants a quick drive away, and we were able to walk to some places to explore. Janet's communication was great, with quick responses to questions. The only negative is that there is no dresser or drawers to put clothing in, and more hangers would have been nice.

We love staying in Princeville with so many short hikes down to the ocean as well as being on the North shore. This studio was the perfect place to rest after a full days adventures and dinner out. We also grilled by the pool , soaked in the hot tub and met other residents as well as other tourists. The room has nice airflow as well as a ceiling fan to keep you cool. I would definitely stay here again. The host is very friendly and accessible as well. 🌺

The studio condo is small, but well equipped. A bit of counter space would have been helpful. The location can't be beat. The landscaping is beautiful and lush. Sandpiper Village is a hidden gem!

The location is geographically great in Princeville near shops and the Saturday Farmer's Market. The room is spacious with a full bed, small table, tiny fridge, microwave and Keurig Coffee maker. The gem is the outside back patio space which is lovely. The room is ground level and has metal shutters over a screen that we learned from locals was an easy break in opportunity if they aren't shut so I think updating renter instructions would be useful around that. Overall solid. We used the location mainly to sleep and shower and it was great for that. I'd ask for specific instructions on finding the apartment within the complex and where the "back lot" is before arriving. We arrived after dark and it was hard to find these things.

We’ve stayed at the other Sandpiper condos and this was a very nice studio. Was a nice clean unit. super easy to come and go provides all the basics. Fortunately this time of year it does cool down enough in evenings with cross ventilation and a ceiling fan. If it was June not so sure. Other condos provided floor fans as back up during seasonally warmer nights. It’s a wonderful place to stay on the North end when one understands simple Kauai vacationing having a clean comfortable room and a warm shower with a quite atmosphere to re energize.

Awesome quiet neighborhood. Quick responses to messages. Clear instructions. Perfect location for us.
Pool and jacuzzi were nice to relax in. We used them many times. Close enough to Hanalei to drive a few minutes. Hotel nearby has music every night and good choice of appetizers.
One thing…small fridge and no utensils except one sort of sharp knife. Plastic eating utensils.

My experience was phenomenal and my host couldn’t have been more accommodating. I got to witness my best friend marrying the love of his life and made lifelong memories. I would highly recommend you stay here if you’re a small party (1-2) and plan on being out experiencing the island more than in. There are multiple amenities in the immediate area however some further destinations (even to the bay) require a rental car at the least. For the price point of the listing it should be more than feasible to appropriately rent a vehicle to accomplish these needs.

The only issue we had was parking . two of the nights we spend from 30 mins to an hour looking for parking when both the lot in front of the condo and behind it were full . We end up having to

We had a lovely stay here. We asked if it would be OK to have three people including our 4 year old kid. Their was an air mattress available and the owner even brought over a nice foam mattress for our kid. The room was quiet despite all the neighbors having close windows open. We did need to work to make sure our kid didn’t talk loudly before 9am (quiet hours) which took some effort especially with the time change. But it felt like all the neighbors were doing their part to respect the quiet hours which we appreciated. We really liked the relaxed neighborhood feel of the complex. This was the perfect home base for our family to explore the area. Thanks!

My husband and I stayed for a week in this condo, and it met our expectations. The condo was very clean, and there were no bugs. The bed, pillows, and patio chairs were super comfortable. The overhead fan and the cross breeze kept the condo cool. The location is perfect. It was a short drive to Hanalei, Anini beach, and many other north shore beaches.We even walked to the beach at the end of the road every night for the sunsets.There were plenty of towels and wash clothes, and beach equipment.We used the beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella, which came in handy. We stopped by Costco before checking in, and got some dinners and breakfasts that we heated in the microwave, and made coffee each morning. Another plus was the host, Janet.She was quick to respond to our questions, but was not intrusive. As mentioned in other reviews, the walls are thin, and the condo is adjacent to the parking lot, which was noisy at times. However, between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am, it was quiet, so we slept well every night.Best of all, this condo was affordable! Overall, we had a great stay, and would stay here again!

This place was perfect for my wife and I on our budget trip to Kauai. The inside was nice and inviting, and the owner has thought of a lot of little details that made our stay that much easier. I especially enjoyed the sharp knife and cutting board for preparing our own fresh pineapple, as well as the beach supplies which saved us a lot of hassle. The patio was surprisingly nice to hang out on in the mornings while drinking our coffee and listening to the rain and bird songs. We would love to come back!

This studio is perfect for the island explorers! We just needed a place to sleep and shower, and this place did it justice. The walls were very thin but the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was extremely clean and well organized. The host was quick to respond to all questions, which is always appreciated. We made good use of the beach equipment and cooler. I loved all the chickens and neighborhood cats roaming about daily. It felt safe and tranquil. Perfect location for night walks. The stars are unreal!! We would definitely stay here again!

Janet's place was perfect for the two of us. Convenient location, very clean and comfortable, no trouble at all with noise or outside activities. Janet was on site when we arrived and we enjoyed her very much. She allowed us a late check-out, so we could go for a morning hike and come back for a shower and packing-up. But the day after we left, she charged our card an extra $200 for a broken floor tile in the bathroom. We're very sure we didn't cause this damage, and would have told her if we had, but she was equally as sure we did cause the damage and was in a position to charge us for it. An unhappy end to an otherwise terrific stay.

Location, location, location. This property is a great value for one or two people staying on the North Shore of Hawaii. We spent 4 nights here and only used the property to sleep and shower. It is more than adequate for that purpose. We would consider staying here again.

The unit was exactly as advertised, and my wife and I enjoyed our two night stay here! If I was being super critical, I would mention that the front door shuts super fast when you let go of it (would be an easy fix). I know this has also been previously mentioned in other comments, but you definitely can hear the conversations from people in surrounding units. This did not bother us at all but just something I would point out in case that’s a major concern to someone else!

I had a mixed experience at this stay. First, the positives: the unit was extremely clean. Bed was comfortable.The location was a good home base to explore the north shore. The unit was well priced.
The negatives: I understand at this price point, you cannot expect a luxury experience, however there were a few things that made our stay not enjoyable, most which could be easily fixed. First, the curtains were not acceptable. The curtain that covers the lanai (big) window does not span the full length of the window and is translucent. When people are coming from a more eastern location, they will want to fall asleep before the hawaii sun sets. I couldn't sleep without placing a rag over my head which was very unpleasant nevermind the lack of privacy from a curtain that is too narrow and see through. Next, the walls in this complex are paper thin. It feels like they are made of cardboard. You will hear every footstep of the people upstairs, every conversation of the neighbours, and everybody coming and going outside the unit. Combined with the poor curtains, it did not make for a restful sleep. Finally, but most concerning, was the keychain on the door key at checkin which was the name of an extreme right wing intellectually dishonest racist, homophobic, white supremacist "university" that prepares cancerous ideologies into nice looking videos to recruit dumb people. That was quite a poor first impression that our host possibly subscribes to these ideologies.

We stayed here for our last 2 days in Kauai, it had everything we needed. The bed was super soft and comfortable. They had lots of items to use for the beach available. Couple things to keep in mind parking can be a little tight and the room does not have AC but they have fans and you can leave the window slats open to increase air flow. About 5 mins from shops and restaurants, 10 mins from beaches.

Great little place to stay in a convenient location in Princeville. It's a small studio type apartment, great value for 2 folks but any more would get over crowded quickly. With the size of the unit they've fit in many essentials; mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and beach supplies. I only stayed 2 nights while waiting for friends to arrive, but loved the location close to Princeville shops. The pool had nice lounge chairs which was nice for an afternoon in the sun.
