Our second time staying at Daniel’s place and we hope to be back again someday! The unit has everything you need and is the perfect little oasis on the N Shore. We had a great stay in Princeville. The unit was charming, especially the view of the mountains. We could walk to multiple beaches and the included beach chairs were easy to carry. While the studio does not come with a reserved parking spot, there was parking available every time we arrived. Check-in was very easy - the host sent me everything I needed a few days before the trip, and as soon as we landed I got a text that it was ready.

We ADORED this condo! It was well prepared for a convenient and cozy stay. There is a very vertical ladder up to the loft, but it wasn't a problem. Just know what to expect :) We found the washer/dryer incredibly helpful, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved the balcony and chairs, the beach "toys," and the comfortable couch. There were beach towels, coffee filters, and even laundry detergent.The *only* frustration is parking. There is 1 spot for 2 condos. The owner's instructions told us we could park on the edge of the lot near the road, but that wasn't the easiest, and we did hope our rental car wouldn't get hit (it was fine). It'd be helpful to note that in the description so folks know what to expect. The parking situation did not at all hinder our experience - we would absolutely book this place again! It was a short walk from Hideaway Beach, and if you don't want to brave the trail down there, you can see a spectacular sunset from in between the condo and beach - just get there early if you want to get one of the benches! Everyone seems to know that it's the best place to go.The owner worked with us to do a later-than-expected checkout when a fall on a trail took us to urgent care. It was a last-minute request, and we were grateful that they worked with us.Great stay!

Our stay in Kauai was nothing short of magical, and that also included our stay. We got such an amazing price for a clean, well kept, amazing studio in Princeville. The pictures do not to the view from the balcony justice, it was absolutely incredible! You can see the lush tree tops, the mountains, the palms, and even a little bit of the bay from the balcony. Daniel was a great host—he was responsive and helpful when we needed him, and he kept us in the loop if anything was going on in the building. Also, I love it when VRBO hosts leave binders with not just the rules but tips and recommendations. He left many tips on how to eat, shop, and generally just behave as a local. Or at least a respectful tourist! Thank you Daniel and Christine for an amazing place to rest our heads in between adventures. I hope to return again to this exquisite island.

Condo is in a great location, quiet, and private. Great little lanai and view for morning coffee and breakfast. It got a little warm in the loft even though we had the A/C running. There was a fan there but it didn't seem to work. Kitchen is pretty well stocked, but was missing a couple basic things like measuring spoons (We only needed for measuring coffee, but would have been handy to have.) Pictures represent the condo well. Living room carpet is worn and needs replacing but would not be a factor in whether we stayed again. The shower was great and had great water pressure, which you don't find everywhere! Overall, great stay and good value for the money!

We had a great stay in Princeville. The rental was exactly like it was listed. We love the location to travel and sightsee the north side of the island. The condo provided us the kitchen we wanted, as well as the washer/dryer in the unit.If we return to this are, we would definitely look at renting the unit again.

Daniel was great from the moment we made the reservation. The Kauai Guide he shared provided great recommendations from outdoor activities to great restaurant options. We used them for the week prior to our check-in as well as during our stay at their location. Daniel and Luara, housekeeping, were very flexible with allowing us to drip off luggage and food items prior to check in when transferring from a timeshare condo to theirs. The property was well equipped, in a great location with beautiful views, clean and met our needs. They were attentive to details and our needs. We would definitely book with them again!

This was our first VRBO and the best part was having laundry available. The spiral stairs up to the bed were very tight and narrow so not for someone with mobility issues. My only "gripe" (not sure what the right word is) but there was coffee packs that were very nice, but no sugar or cream packs. There was tea, but only 3 bags. So if you need or want anything, you have to supply it. There were dishes, pots and pans, things to cook. We had to purchase some basics. Overall the stay was very good with a great view.

The hosts were good. Terrific location. Clean. It rained almost the whole time we were there (North shore in February), so a bit of a downer. The bed was overly soft and a little lumpy, the carpet could be replaced, and the tub needs to be recaulked. But, when the sun was out, the view out the back is outstanding!

The studio is really sweet. We love this location and Daniel is very responsive and helpful. The parking can be little stressful during busier holiday times when the units fill up. Just know that you can park where there's a designated "permit" spots in the lot. We've stayed in the larger/loft studio next door in the past which is preferred. Not only is it larger, cleaner, and has all the comforts of your home, you also get your own designated parking spot. I will say though, I think this little studio has a better view from the lanai.

We were delighted by the view of a green belt from the unit and its lanai.The many trees meant many birds flying and singing. We could see over the treetops to the mountains, and enjoyed the colors of both sunrise and sunset. The unit is spacious for two, well appointed in island style furnishings, and is clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to a small park with sweeping ocean views. We hope to visit again next year!

I am saddened to leave this review, but it’s necessary to share. I come to Kauai very often. I’ve been there eight times since 2015 and I always stay in a condo at Hale Moi. This was my first time staying in this particular unit. From the beginning, I had a bad impression of the place. The front door was warped & had a big gap at the bottom and the door was very jiggly, to the point of me not feeling safe to sleep there at night. The carpet was absolutely horrible, stains everywhere. I was afraid to walk on there barefooted. And to top it all off the toilet sink had poop stains in it. Somebody had used the toilet apparently after the cleaner had cleaned it and left diarrhea stains in the bowl. The owner of the condo sent her 80-year-old ex-husband to clean it and I felt so bad but something like that should’ve never happened because from the beginning it gave me a really bad impression of the unit. And the cherry on top was a giant cockroach on the wall on my last night there that fell inside the couch where I was sleeping, so it kept me up trying to kill this thing. because there was no way I was gonna go to bed with a cockroach inside the couch cushions. I told the owner this and her answer was well it’s Hawaii, there’s gonna be bugs and the stains of the carpet are from the red dirt of Kauai. I have stayed at seven other units at Hale Moi & none of them had cockroaches or horrible stains like that. Or mold on the bathroom ceiling. Do not recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the condo. My son (12) stayed on the sofa (extra bedding was provided by Michael) wehere the adults stayed upstairs.
