The location of this property is perfect for getting around the island easily. It is truly ocean front and the grounds are stunning! Front desk staff always friendly when passing through the lobby. Unit was clean and exactly as pictured, view was amazing. Pool area clean and busy but never had trouble finding a chair. Beach area is great place to relax…we used the beach chairs provided with the unit. Beach towels were also nice to have. Cooler, umbrella and boogie boards also available at the unit but not used. Bed was very comfortable. We didn’t even try the tv…we were too busy experiencing the island.
A couple of things to note that are worth mentioning (although most of these things would not change our decision to stay) …1)in room safe didn’t work and was not repaired during our 7 day stay despite notifying management on the first day, 2) sliding glass door very hard to open and close, and 3) this is an adjoining room and there can be a lot of noise from neighbors at times (the last half of our stay we could hear their tv as well as talking and coughing very easily). These weren’t game changers as we weren’t in our room too much. When we were there we were too exhausted from all of our island adventures to care.

It was the perfect place to stay! The pictures was actually how they described it. The view was amazing and the balcony added a wonderful atmosphere to end our night, especially after our long hikes. The place was near the most adorable shops and places to eat (Coconut Market). We will be returning back for sure!!

Our stay in Kapaa was perfect. The condo was cute and in a great location. It was in a central location to the other major cities on the island. It is close to great food choices, the pool and beach were less than a 5 minute walk.

My husband and I stayed here during our trip to quiet and June/July 2023. The place is a cute little condo in a relatively quiet community.
The condo is outfitted with necessities, and made for a very convenient place to stay. The community has a pool, hot tub, a small bar, and several outdoor grills poolside. The condo unit has plates, bowls, flatware, and several kitchen necessities, including a microwave, hot water, boiler, and a drip coffee machine. It even had two Tommy Bahama lawn chairs and a beach umbrella that we were able to use and enjoy for a beach day.
I really love this location for a few reasons – first, it is just south of the town of Kapaa, which is a slightly busier area on the island. There are some great restaurants within close, driving distance, and even a small mini mall walking distance from the unit with great late night, food, options, and ABC market, and some lite shopping.
But most importantly, for us, we wanted to explore as much of the island as possible, and this really made that easy to do. It is about an hour up to the north end of the island and an hour to an hour and a half to the south end of the island and up into the Waimea canyon. I think it would’ve been much more difficult had we stayed on the south or north end and had a 2+ hour drive ahead of us to get to the other side on any given day.
This condo was very clean and had a very friendly staff at the front desk. Highly recommend, and would stay here again.

Clean and simple. Had everything we needed for a great vacation. Although we didn't truly spend much time in the room, it had everything we needed for a comfortable place to crash each night. The walls were a little thin so you could hear your neighbors, and the AC wasn't fully functioning, but the fan provided in the closet seemed to fix both issues.

Overall, this is a beautiful spot. The view from the unit was gorgeous. It was really fun and relaxing to sit on the deck and watch the ocean. The bed and pillow were super comfortable. I also appreciate that the refrigerator was very quiet. This property was centrally located which made it easy to explore the island. The biggest issue with the property is the thin walls which causes you to hear your neighbors next door and above you. I just wore earplugs and I was fine. The rugs in the hallway were a bit dated and old, but the unit itself was super cute.

Overall, we had a very nice time at this property. The bed was super comfortable and the refrigerator was very quiet. Super cute! However, the walls are very thin and you can hear a lot of noise. The room was clean but could use a deep clean on the floors, especially the corners, lots of grime. The hallway rugs look a bit shabby too. The grounds were pretty and centrally located. Nice rental.

Overall, the property is beautiful and in a great location to most good options. The room is small, but cozy and the balcony makes for beautiful views and meals outside. The room has a small fridge and tiny freezer, a small microwave, and other small appliances like a toaster, coffee maker, and blender. Every drawer and storage place is used to store something already, which makes storing your things a challenge. Overall, it served its purpose. I would recommend advising that a parking pass is needed to be secured at the lobby. I don’t remember seeing that detail in any of the instructions and we didn’t find out until we received a notice that our car was going to be towed. Also, the parking spots are VERY tight and some nights finding parking was difficult

We loved this condo and the property it is located at. There was a front desk and everyone was super friendly. Dining is close by as well as shopping. We took a kayak tour and we were able to meet the group right in the plaza next to the property. Everything was clean and well appointed. The hot tub and bar were fun for socializing. I would have to say of the 3 properties we stayed at in Hawaii this was our favorite !

The east shore is the absolute best for sunrises and the Blue Kauai at Islander on the Beach place is a hidden gem on the island, great location, amenities and literally steps from the ocean! So much to see and do not far away, nature abounds.

We had the best relaxing vacation! This condo was exactly as described and pictured and even better in person. It had everything we needed including beach gear.
We loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings for breakfast and getting take out for dinner. You could hear the ocean so well from the room and noise from the pool wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed watching several thunderstorms.

We just returned from our first visit to the island of Kauai and we had the best time at this condo! The view, pool/hot tub, and nightly happy hour at the tiki bar were just perfect! The fact that we could literally walk yards down the beach to one of our favorite restaurants the lava lava club and also across the parking lot the coconut marketplace for a great market for fresh food and other convenient eating spots made it even better. Although the condo space itself is fairly tight and about the size of a smaller hotel room it suited our needs for the week just fine. Having the seating area out on the balcony is a plus. We loved our stay so much and can’t wait to come back!

This was a perfect place to stay for two people. Loved the big, comfy bed and lanai overlooking the pool and ocean! We watched the sun rise every morning. We were able to see a monk seal on the beach near the restaurant next door! I also liked the overall location of this place, as it felt like a central spot to check out other areas of the island. Communication with the hosts was great- they were quick to respond to our questions and requests. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

This was our sixth trip to Kauai and we have gone back to the Islander every single time. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. Of our six trips, this unit was the best updated and supplied yet. The Tommy Bahama beach chairs were absolutely indispensable for our beach excursions. I actually ordered two for home off of ebay while on the beach.
There are many great food options within steps of the Islander. We loved to pick up poke at Safeway and have dinner on the lanai overlooking the torch-lit grounds, pool, and ocean.
Kauai is the best place on Earth. Kapa'a is the best location to reach all of the island, the Islander is a heavenly haven in Kapa'a, and this unit is one of the best in the Islander. 🤙

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Hawaii at Islander on the beach! It is a clean, well appointed unit that had everything we needed to have a really comfortable stay. We had a wonderful view of the courtyard, pool, and the ocean from the balcony where we enjoyed having coffee/tea each morning. It is only a couple minute walk to the beach where we watched the sunrise each day. We also really loved having beach chairs, boogie boards, a mat and an umbrella to use. The location was perfect----not too far to either side of the island and being next to the Coconut Marketplace was fabulous---lots of food, grocery, and shopping options! Communication throughout the whole booking and rental process was smooth, easy, and so appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Thanks again! This is a beautiful oasis over looking a awesome few of the pool and beach. Very relaxing patio. Perfect for drinking coffee in the morning or drinking tequila in the afternoon. In the front of this building have the best coffee to your left, few hundred feet have good supermarket, food and shopping. There’s also outdoor restaurant that has great food over looking the beach with awesome Hawaiian singer.

Location is great despite the construction on the main road that made exiting the property to the north a nightmare most days. Pool is cute, could have been a little bigger and not sure if 8ft deep is necessary especially if no diving is allowed. The AC was nice and quiet and worked well. The bathroom was spacious, although the tp dispenser was not installed properly and a piece kept falling off. The curtains would have been nice if opening met in the middle instead of opening being all the way to one side. Impossible to access the lanai without a burst of sunlight waking up another person. The door latch to the lanai was also a bit challenging as you had to line it up perfectly to latch it correctly. The grounds of the property are BREATHTAKING, all the tropical foliage. I do wish there was just assigned parking for this unit, we had to park in the back adjacent lot getting home at 9:30-10p most nights.

My wife and I are both 26. We came here to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary and we could not recommend a better place to come for any occasion! We spent a week here and I wish we would have stayed longer. Being ocean front was great. Pool that’s open late and has a bar open from 3pm to 9pm. A lot of restaurants and bars all around the property, within walking distance. You could not ask for a better location. You are practically in the middle of everything as far as going to signature places on the island. Also only a 14 minute drive to the airport, but you have no air traffic noise while here. Security guards are on duty 24/7. I hope this review helps whomever is reading this decide a place, but honestly you do not need to look any further.

The Islander on the Beach was fabulous. The room had everything we needed. It had wonderful view of the ocean. The walk to the beach and pool was short.
