My fiancé and I loved this place! It was in a great location. Several beaches, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. The size of the studio was perfect for the two of us. Our favorite thing to do was drink our morning coffee out on the lanai while watching the chickens and looking out to the ocean. The bed was a little on the firm side but we didn’t mind it because we were so tired at the end of each day. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to friends and family visiting Kauai!

Really great spot close to many places (within 1-3 miles) to eat, shop, lounge, hike, snorkel, etc. A well appointed unit with all the necessities and more. The AC was especially appreciated as the humidity makes the temperature feel much warmer and that morning sun can be quite intense. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Loved the Hanalei Bay resort and amenities as well as the restaurant next door at Hotel1. Have never seen more beautiful scenery.
The room we booked via VRBO was well appointed, cutely decorated. It was quite musty smelling upon arrival which dissipated with the use of aircon. The one issue we had was the walls are paper thin - felt like we were living with the neighbors (and their baby)at night. It must have been a condo that was split into 2 - but still shares interior walls

We really enjoyed staying at this Prince Kuhio condo. Location was excellent! It was just a few minutes from several beaches including our favorite beach--Poipu-- and to good restaurants. We were also within a short driving distance of Spouting Horn.
The property has a pool, barbecue grills, a laundry facility, and two parking areas that were easy to access. The unit itself was on the second floor and had a full kitchen. It also had a nice lanai with an ocean view, and was equipped with what we needed. We enjoyed eating outside on the lanai.
One thing to be aware of is sound carries easily through the Prince Kuhio condos. We had a couple of noisy neighbors during our stay, and you can hear the roosters crow outside well before dawn. Not a problem during the day, but I recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

This little studio condo was perfect for me and my husband on our honeymoon -- though small, it was great for two people who spent most of our days out and about on the island. The location is fantastic right in the heart of Koloa near so many wonderful restaurants and within walking distance of the beach that had a view of the most stunning sunsets.

The place was amazing. The location on the south shore provided great weather. Walking distance to a couple beaches and food spots. AC was cold, they had a small kitchen to cook (we used the propane grills on the property). Pool was nice. Check-in was slightly confusing (however we arrived close to 8pm), we didn’t realize there was a parking garage out back. If your on the fence between a few locations, come here. You won’t be disappointed. We are picky on beds/pillows, and this was the best of the four islands we visited. The host also stocks the random items you would forget… bug spray, flash lights, chairs, towels, books of the island etc.

We chose to stay here prior to our two week timeshare next door. This is an older unit but well maintained with beautiful landscaping. A little small but ok for a short stay. Excellent location. Quiet and has air conditioning but we really didn’t need it.

Sweet little studio. Bed was very comfy. Very well stocked kitchen if you prepare meals. The little extras were much appreciated. The beach chairs, umbrella, coolers. Lawai beach is across the street along with the Beach house restaurant.
The pool is clean and cool.
The complex is quiet. Mostly retired folks occupy this complex. It is older and nothing fancy. The gardens around are lush with many orchids.
The lanai overlooks sacred grounds. You have a beach view too.

Perfect location!! My husband and I visited Kauai for the first time for our 10 year anniversary. This was the perfect place! From the chicken wake up call in the am to the beautiful view of both ocean and mountains from lanai! It’s right across from Lawai Beach and our favorite restaurant the Beach House! Great location for day trips to both North and West Coast. The condo is small but just right size for couple and bed was super comfortable. Property well maintained and cute grounds! Condo just as picture show. Mirrors help it feel a little bigger. Plenty of space to place suitcases and souvenirs, etc. We didn’t do any cooking, but kitchen is well equipped if you do! Great place and couldn’t ask for better location!!

Great location, we enjoyed the hike from Shipwreck beach to Maka'uwahi and Gilen beach. Property is as advertised, nice to have access to a kitchen for meals. Easy check in. The second parking lot is much easier to park in, and if you park at the end, just as close to the condo complex! Would recommend!

This was the second property we stayed at while on Kauai and it exceeded our expectations. Small but very well equipped, great views, close walk to the beach. Great upkeep on the grounds and pools. This unit is more towards the back of the building so there is no street noise, if this is something that bothers you. Would stay again!

My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. You can open the large sliding doors right next to the bed so that you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and be cooled by the sea breeze. The kitchen is small but well-stocked, and there’s a lot of great beach gear like chairs, umbrellas and towels. You can easily walk to shopping (including a drug/convenience store) and several restaurants.
Poipu is nice and quiet and seems good for families, although finding food after about 8:00 is quite difficult (we recommend Paco’s Tacos). The Spouting Horn is about a 20 minute walk or 3 minute drive away.
The only (very minor) downsides to this place are that some of the overflow parking spaces can be quite tight if you have a larger car, and there’s not a huge amount of storage space in the condo. Otherwise, this place is perfect!

Although it looks and feels like an upgraded motel, inside the room it was very clean and luxurious. We had all the amenities we lacked--towels, shampoo, kitchen items. All we wished for were free laundry facilities. Our unit had a balcony with a view of the ocean and it was only a minute's walk across the street to a snorkeling location.

My spouse and I stayed here for a few days celebrating our honeymoon. The condo is perfectly sized for two people who are in Hawaii to enjoy it for everything it has to offer. The condo has a kitchen, utensils, towels, beach towels, well working AC unit, nice bathroom, and a patio that overlooks a quiet park and the ocean. I started most mornings with a Bloody Mary and a glass of wine each evening on the patio. Star gazing on the patio was amazing. Parking is easy, the location is conveniently located near (100 yard / easy walk) a popular restaurant and near a beach, as well as an easy drive to other beaches and great Hawaii features. Beautiful sunsets and star gazing at the nearby beach. The pool was quiet and relaxing, and was easy to access with the key that was inside of the unit. Checking in to get a parking permit was easy once we located the self-service office. The laundry was right next to the office, worked well, and was well maintained, and made brining less on the trip really simple. The only item the needed improvement in the unit was the sliding glass door to the patio, which was a bit difficult to open.

The condo is small in square footage, but feels completely roomy and comfortable because it has everything you need and a perfect place to put things. Only negative things were 1) no dishpan for doing dishes (stopper in kitchen sink did not hold water in sink) and 2)the sliding door to lanai was almost impossible to open (took everything I had to open it) and needs to be fixed, I opened it all the way once and I felt like it was a strain on the glass and was afraid it would shatter. One other comment, the smoke alarm went off at 1:30am one morning for no reason. I contacted Wendy the person noted to call if there was any problem and never heard back from her. Glad it wasn't an emergency!!

Found plenty of parking in the parking garage right next to the property. Clean and was nice having chairs and an umbrella to take to the beach. Loved being able to drink my coffee and read a book on the lanai looking out at the ocean. And the cheeky chickens knocking fruit out of the trees. We had a delightful stay at this condo. Everything was exactly as pictured. Even though we had some rainy weather, the lanai stayed nice and dry (and the owner was kind enough to stop by during a storm to drop off a flashlight in case we lost power- a very thoughtful touch). The location couldn’t have been better, steps from the shore. We will certainly be back!

We chose this place mainly because it is air-conditioned and priced reasonably. The room looks exactly like the pictures. The host left plenty of useful information for us. The only downside of the area is there are not too many places to eat within walking distance, but I think that is generally the case anywhere in Kauai. There might be more if we stay closer to Poipu. But anyway the kitchen was well-stocked enough that we made our own breakfast and coffee. The everyday. The view from

We owned a VRBO unit in Kauai so we know the island. Great location and spotless unit. Full kitchen, great king bed, sunny lania with zero neighbours, great pool area and landscaped gardens, shower was wonderful and parking garage was close and convenient. Plus the rental rate was fair so thank you for that. Secure coded lock on door was a plus as were the beach chairs and umbrella. We WILL be back to the island and unit we love. Well done!!

This studio packs everything you need into a space efficient floor plan. Interior Finishes were beautiful with varying stones, wood and textures that made it feel high end. I was amazed this studio had such a well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook our meals. The air conditioner was nice to have. A park was next door and the chickens were entertaining plus you could see the ocean. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and walking stick.

Location was superb...we loved walking across the street to the steps at the beach and watching the sunset! The Condo was great- nice touches, decorated well and VERY clean (very important to me)! We cooked breakfast practically every morning and the kitchen was well equipped. And thank goodness for the wonderful AC...just amazing!
The balcony was fun for sitting out and watching the view in the AM...the Roosters & Chickens are hilarious! And we ended up using the pool more than planned after being out at the beach all day- they had Showers for rinsing off which was really nice.
We would definitely stay here again- it was a really great vacay!

This Prince Kuhio studio condo was one of our favorite parts of our ten year wedding anniversary trip. The perfect, east facing view of Prince Kuhio park gave us the feeling of waking up at a much more exclusive destination. My wife and I really enjoyed the grounds, which are lush and meticulously cared for. I gathered that the building was one of the first to arrive on the South Side/Poipu area, and it has an Old School charm about it. The property sports a very chill, low key, and relaxing pool space for Prince Kuhio guests, as well as a mature landscaped tropical garden setting to roam around in.
The Unit has a modern, mini-split style air conditioner set up, and it greatly increased our quality of life to be cooled down in moments at the touch of a button. We also enjoyed the well appointed kitchen space by the entrance, and all the small frills (beach accessories) that are stashed away in the closet spaces for use.
We loved that this location is a reasonable walking distance from Long's Drugs, restaurants, and local shopping by the Roundabout. The well known Beach House restaurant is practically across the street to the South, and the gloriously easy to access ocean is *right* there. Turtles come so close to land that, you don't even need to snorkel or get in the water to see them, and if you are snorkeling, you're bound to see amazing fish with a minimal effort, even just 30 feet out.
We made a point to join everyone in the tradition of watching the sunset on the wall along the west side of the Beach House restaurant each evening, until the wild flocks of parakeets came back out of the western horizon to roost.
Everyone working at Prince Kuhio was super-chill, helpful, and nice. The laundry equipment worked well on site, and the cute little library office/check-in space had a great selection of books.
We are already looking forward to locking in time in this exact same unit again sometime soon, next year.
