The condo is situated in a great location if you have a rental car or don't mind taking Uber. Sunsets from the unit are amazing. The kitchen and living room area are comfortable. The bed is ok. Because the building is older, the noise level of other guests coming and going is significant. The front door is challenging to close upon exiting. The pool is nice. There is daytime construction. Something to be aware of. Overall I enjoyed my stay

Overall acceptable interior with an exceptional view.The furnishings were definitely dated, but our vacation didn’t revolve around the unit so it didn’t disappoint us too much.It was super helpful that there were extras outside for the beach ( coolers, umbrellas, snorkels,Goggles, and even a boogie board)!Also helpful was a shelf filled with “extras” that past tenants had left behind containing items like suntan lotion, skincare, bug spray, band aids, and cleaning products we might need throughout our stay.On the down side, things definitely could have been cleaner. The windows had fingerprints and the tracks were filled with bugs (gnats). Strangely enough I noticed this because I had just cleaned them in my home prior to leaving.Overall, it was nice stay. At no fault of the owner, and just by the “luck of the draw”, we were on the bottom floor. The people above us had a toddler who didn’t much like to go to bed and screamed as he ran from one end of the house to the other EVERY night at about 10 pm (his bed time I presume.We did have a wonderful trip and would stay again If we can back. Our stay here was fantastic. The condo is in a great location for exploring the Big Island. It was comfortable and the most well-equipped vacation rental we’ve experienced (coolers were much appreciated along with beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and even some snorkeling gear was available, although we did not use it). We appreciated the option of A/C, but were pleasantly surprised we didn’t feel we needed it except for 1 of our 8 nights when the temp was the hottest and most humid of our early July stay. We preferred the windows open and fans on instead. The proximity to the water is rare compared to other destinations and provided the BEST ocean wave sounds. We enjoyed the laid-back feel of the property. The courtyard is beautifully landscaped and the gas grills were great. The kitchen is well-equipped too. Finally, we loved the coffee shop that is at the front of the property. They have the best 100% Kona coffee and we’re officially spoiled on that. Thank you to the hosts for the great hospitality.

This view was worth every penny! We spent so much time out on our lanai right over the rock wall and then the blue beautiful Pacific Ocean. We so enjoyed watching the outriggers, boats on excursions, surfers, paddle-boarders and even a cruise ship! The A/C in the main living area works great- really cooled down that part of the unit. The fans do a pretty good job of keeping the bedroom cool. The bed - OMG- it is soooo comfy! We slept so good! Bathroom was small but efficient. Pool and hot tub area nice size. We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again! Mahalo!

We loved this condo! The lanai was perfect and so relaxing, we even got to watch the 4th of July fireworks from there! Everything we needed in the kitchen including a blender! Bathrooms were clean and towels were so soft! Beds were so comfortable and welcoming after long travel. Full beach gear including boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and snorkel gear! Books and puzzles as well as DVDs and guide books to use. Jon was very easy to communicate with and we loved our stay. The property was quiet and the pool was perfect! We're hoping next time we can come to big island we can stay here again!

Great location. Lovely unit. Incredible views from balcony. Literally the ocean was 50 yards in front of us. Coffee in the morning was quiet and a pod of dolphins regularly swam by and entertained. Also appreciated the coffee grinder as we are Kona coffee fans. We were there on the 4th of July...and viewed fireworks from our lanai. Kitchen was well supplied, ate/cooked a couple times full meals and dined while outside viewing the ocean. Our host Holly kept in touch, was most accommodating and timely access to unit on our day of arrival was effortless. Would return!

The property has a lovely oceanfront view. It was clean with updated furniture and kitchen. The kitchen had all I needed. There were lots of items for the beach to use such as chairs, boogy board, etc.There unfortunately was a very strong, unpleasant chemical smell in the unit that persisted despite fans and cross ventilation. Perhaps a strong antiseptic cleaning fluid or bug spray was used throughout. One suggestion is to replace the scratched Teflon-type pans in the kitchen.Overall, the unit was great.

We chose this condo due to its location, view and features. The condo was conveniently located, making it easy to get to various attractions on Kona. Loved the view from the balcony and with the open floor plan you could enjoy it from the kitchen and living room as well. Having two bedrooms and two baths was great although the shower in the main hall bath was small. Communication from the time of booking until check-out was good. It would have been nice if toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) would have been provided. All in all, it was a great place to stay!

Condo needs major maintenance inside and out, uncomfortably hot due to inefficiency of AC set up. View was fantastic but couldn’t stay in the condo due to workers, literally, hanging into our lanai to work on the building, hammering and banging all day. No water, off and on, during our stay. Ice maker out of order, with a note on the fridge (who knows for how long!) Bare bones, inadequate suppliesI, paint peeling from the ceiling, I could go on and on, extremely disappointed, sorry to say. I’ve never written a negative review. I should have read previous reviews more closely.

Everything exceeded expectations. Can’t beat the view and the location. And the condo is well stocked with gear, games, and travel guides. When the water is calm, there is nice snorkeling right below the balcony. At least for us, no AC, no problem. Just keep the windows open and ceiling fans running. Three flights of stairs, no problem. It makes for a great view and helps work off all the great food up and down Ali’i Dr. And the owners are just a text or email away to answer any questions.

Previous occupants forgot to run the dishwasher but was no big deal as her appliances were very easy to use. Loved having a washer and drier available. The sweeper was a great thing to have available. Could not quite figure out the tv in the bedroom as the instructions left did not work for us. Surprised that her personal Netflix did not work for us. But made due with the live stream. We overpacked so it was a bit difficult going up three flights of stairs, but well worth it once you got up there. We enjoyed the space and would recommend. She gave recommendations as to what to do on the Island. We did them all! What a great vacation!

Inside was beautiful with comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen was well stocked with seasonings and lots of dishes, pans and utensils. TV worked great though we didn’t use it very often. Also the Bose soundbar let us listen to our favorite music. Pool, BBQs and grounds were well taken care of. Also loved having the Green Flash right next door for an easy morning meal. This place was very convenient to every place we wanted to visit on the island. Highly recommend!!

First time to Kona. Played lots of golf and did several of the marine adventures that were available. This property with its view and atmosphere were a delight to come back to every afternoon. The grounds, pool, barbecue grills were all immaculately maintained. Less than five minutes via car to the hub of restaurants and entertainment, the location absolutely could not been any better. We had family over for a potluck/barbecue down at the picnic tables and they were all jealous of our location compared to where they all stayed closer to downtown. It was a great vacation and this property was a highlight.

The condo had enough space. However it was not clean. Sticky floor, fridge gull of half used sauces. Cubboard with remains. We left after 4 of the 10 days. The mansger and VRBO hsndled this verh well and money eas regunded in 3 days.

The condo is really nice and comfortable. The bed is super comfortable and the furniture is nice and comfortable, too. The kitchen has three things you need to do your own cooking. Bring or buy your own spices. We loved the washer and dryer being right there in the condo. There is no AC but we only missed it a few times during our two week stay. The fans were great. We discovered booking a condo with AC is at least twice as much as this lovely condo. Restaurants and shopping are close. Kona is full of great places to eat. Note that the condo is on the third floor so being able to do the stairs is a must. Think if it as a bit of a workout everyday, which is good. We liked not having people walking above us which would happen if you are on the first or second floor. This condo is great and the best place price wise that we found.

I can't say enough good things about our stay. The location was perfect, allowing access to everything we wanted to do and see. I liked being back at the condo each evening to view the sunset from the lanai prior to going out to dinner at one of the many local restaurants. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated. I've used VRBO a lot and one of the most important things to me when renting a condo is feeling at home when entering the unit. That's how we felt when entering this one. It wasn't overly decorated with a lot of personal items and tacky knickknacks on the shelves and walls. All in all, it was a great place to spend our 50th anniversary vacation. I would definitely stay in this condo again. (I already miss the malsadas from Paradise Bakery.)

For context, this is my 5th condo stay in the magical state of Hawaii (Maui, Kauai and Hawaii). The idea was initially foreign to me, as I thoroughly enjoyed hotels and resorts through the first 3 decades of vacationing in my adult life. Alas, hotels are cost prohibitive in Hawaii, a fact that was a rude awakening when planning my first trip to Maui years ago. Where dollars and cents are concerned however, adaptation is the rule, so Vrbo it is, and gladly!Now then, it is on or about day 3 when condo life in Hawaii starts to feel like home as your vacation routine takes shape. Here, the hosts have done a fantastic job with the space. It is neither gaudy nor dated. It is an open floor concept with clean, sharp lines and feels like modern day Hawaii should.With all that being said however, the interior of the unit is but the opening act, the view and sounds of the ocean on the balcony is 100% the main attraction. Yes, this is where time stands still, so bring your tired, broken down soul and get recharged near a sea of tranquility, literally. It is serene, it is surreal. It is the epitome of what a Hawaiian vacation should be; paradisal. We had high expectations for our stay at this village and we got lucky! Amazing apartment with an mesmerizing view. We woke up every day to the sounds of the ocean right outside our lanai. Cleanliness was good although there were a bug issue in the kitchen - nothing major though. The property was quiet and nice and parking spaces were big and spacious. Would definitely recommend!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of April. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Finding the Sea Village was no problem and parking was plentiful. Check in was simple with keypad entry. The condo was clean and comfortable. The lanai overlooked the water and was very private. We enjoyed sitting out there in the evening listening to the waves. My daughter greatly enjoyed the pool, although I wish there was some shade around the lounge chairs. The condo was well equipped for beach days with chairs, coolers, snorkel equipment, shovels / pails, pool noodles, etc. (but you would need to drive to a beach). I found the beds very comfortable and enjoyed sleeping with the ceiling fan on and windows open. There is a heat pump air conditioner that we used when we first arrived as the unit was a bit warm from being closed up, but didn't use it after. There can be quite a bit of afternoon sun in the main living room area, and there are no window shades (although there is a shade on the lanai that would help), so I expect that during the summer, it could get warm and the air conditioning would come in handy. The location is great. I didn't hear any road noise. You could walk to the main restaurant area, but it would probably take about a half hour. We took some Ubers to go for dinner, which cost under 10 each way, since we heard parking was challenging and expensive. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again if we came back.
