The condo was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The view from the balcony was spectacular. We took a catamaran snorkeling trip to the Captain Cook Monument that left from one bay over—we could watch them depart from the balcony. The condo is well appointed with everything guests need. We especially appreciated the quick dry beach towels and closet full of beach gear (chairs, shade tent, snorkel equipment). Very quiet property.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had an amazing experience! I am very pleased with the communication, cleanliness, and location! The condo was easy to find, extremely clean, and felt like home. The inside looks exactly like the pictures! The front lanai overlooked the ocean-side pool and then a great view of sunsets over the Pacific. The lanai was only about 200' from the ocean. The community was very safe and quiet. The condo is in good condition and well furnished. The AC worked well. Having a washer/dryer combo available in the condo was a huge perk! We have absolutely NO complaints. Our stay was very enjoyable.

Lovely spacious condo. King bed was so comfy. Sofa bed was uncomfortable but we bought our blow up mattress from home so it worked out great. It did get warm but there were fans in the closet which helped cool us off. We cooled off in the ocean pool and/or main pool every day. Condo is so close to the main pool which was nice and it was also empty majority of the time. There was also a good amount of open unassigned parking spots available.

I have nothing bad to say about the condo, it was very nice, super clean and has excellent views, I would stay here again. Parking was right by the front door, the pool was less than a minute walk away and was never crowded. The property was very clean and quiet and was very nice to take walks around, sunsets by the ocean pool are amazing!!
The problem I did have was with the host, Gina. 4 days before check-in she sent me a message on how to get a parking permit for my car, and if I had any questions to contact her. I reached out to her 3 times asking for check-in instructions and how to get into the unit, she never got back to me. It ended up working itself out, the office where I got the parking permit also checked us in. Why couldn't Gina just tell me that in the first place?!

Nothing short of magical! This property is an amazing home base for snorkeling and west coast beaches. Luxurious for our family of four in terms of space; beds were very comfortable. The best is dinner watching the sunset, listening to the surf as you fall asleep, coffee with the dolphins in the morning. Everything you need in this well appointed kitchen, beach gear in the closet. Grocery store is convenient. The saddest part is leaving. We will be back! Thank you thank you to Janice and Bruce for such an amazing time!!!!

Wonderful property, enjoyable stay, but owner needs to complete repairs on the patio door which is not fully functional to open completely. Could not open it more than 2 feet. Will most likely book again if this gets fixed. It was fine when we stayed in 2023. On the flipside, we enjoyed the upgrades made recently in bathrooms and kitchen!

Great ocean view! Great stay with our 3 daughters. Our girls loved the amenities including the many pools and hot tubs. We enjoyed pickleball and ping pong too! Condo was accurate in description. We cooked many meals in and found it was adequately supplied. Beds were firm but comfortable enough. It was very nice having starter supplies including shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels after a long day of travel! We can’t wait to come back and would definitely choose this unit again. We chose to pay the additional fee for air conditioning and are glad we did. May was warm

My family & I drove off from Hilo side for a baseball tournament over memorial weekend. All we really wanted was a kitchen, a washer/dryer & two bathrooms. This place exceeded our expectations. Things were very easy to find. There was actually TWO sets of washer/dryer, the air conditioning was much needed after full days outside in the sun, & it felt overall very clean & comfortable. Communication was a 10/10. I received emails & texts reminding about my upcoming trip, information about check in day prior, check ups with how the trip was going, & how to check out. My kids absolutely loved the upstairs 3rd bedroom as it gave them space to decompress on their own. To add: Our first night there, there was a 6.0 earthquake. It was strong considering the location it measured at, but nothing moved in the condo & it felt safe (although as a Hawaii family we are use to earthquakes). I would definitely recommend this place & the host!!

We've traveled to Kona many times, but this was our first stay at this property and it was wonderful! It felt like we were staying in someone's private home, not a STR. The hosts are beyond friendly and helpful, offering tips and information. The condo is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is clean and so comfortable. The views are outstanding, whether from the oceanfront lanai or through the panoramic windows. The resort grounds are meticulously maintained and are beautiful. There really isn't a single negative of our stay, unless I count the 6.0 earthquake that wasn't on our itinerary! This will definitely be our go to for any future returns to the island. Overall, the condo was good. There were a few minor issues that need attention. One being the rusty tracks for the lanai sliding doors. The screens did not slide as easily as I would have liked. Also, the shower curtain liner in the primary bathroom needs to be longer. If you don’t pay attention, the curtain falls outside of the bath. We had a pleasant stay.

We had a great 2 weeks at this property. The owner was very accommodating and any small issues we had were taken care of quickly.The unit itself, like the property, is older but we found that it was well equiped and pleasant. It was quiet, with the bay view delightful off the family room. There are actually 3 decks with sunset views from the other 2. With 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and 3 pools we were happy there. We thought the property was lovely, inside and out! We did have an unusual problem with the TV. It would just turn itself on at random times, often in the middle of the night, as if someone set it up to do that. It was so annoying that we had to unplug it. I left a flaking teflon pan out with a note that it should be replaced. It had been pretty badly treated. Overall we enjoyed the comfort of your home, the pools are great, and we used the grill several times. I would love to stay there again, and highly recommend it! Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the first unit we stayed in at Kanaloa 5-6 years ago, and it was that experience and the amazing views that made us fall in love with the complex. Since then, we've stayed in other Kanaloa units more the 10 times. When this unit was available for our most recent stay, we were excited to return. Unfortunately, maintenance of the unit has been substandard over the years and we had a very mixed experience this time. The views from the lanai, overlooking He'eia Bay, remain spectacular, but we experienced several disruptive maintenance issues during our visit. The morning after we arrived, we discovered that the shower valve in the guest bathroom was broken and completely nonfunctional. We reported this immediately. This was definitely something that should have been noticed by the cleaning crew prior to our stay. It took 3 days to repair (and water was shut off for 4 hours during the repair), so all of our guests had to share the master shower for more than half of our visit. Additionally, the internet didn't work upon our arrival. We communicated frequently regarding troubleshooting, etc., but it only ended up working less than 1 day of our 6 day stay. The refrigerator had been leaking and was damaged on the exterior, half of the light bulbs in the unit were burned out, several blinds were falling off the windows or broken, and the dishwasher was not properly secured, etc. The property manager did offer a small credit upon checkout.

We were very pleased with our stay. Especially enjoyed the view and sound of the ocean. The condo was very well appointed and made cooking and enjoying the island so convenient. Really appreciated the cooler, beach chairs, and snorkeling masks. We brought our own but the full face mask was a nice alternative for a person snorkeling for the very first time. Janice was a pleasure to work with, very attentive and enthusiastic.

Fabulous development fabulous condo. Great location, beautiful wet facing. The pool area has amazing sunsets as well as great chairs and a whole barbecue area to make dinner dinners with tables and chairs.
They have their own Pickleball chords their own tennis courts and two pools one at the ocean and one closer to the office.
The views from the living room and lanai are overlooking the bay and ocean. Amazing

Our stay at Kanaloa Kona was a wonderful experience. Check-in was simple and although we showed up past business hours, the staff that was available was very friendly and helpful. We had no issues with access and the property was clean and had everything we needed including extra towels, bedding, beach toys, beach towels, extra soap/ shampoo, bug spray, kitchen equipment, basic pantry items, etc. Our host was responsive almost immediately and the location is central to so much Kona has to offer. Our family had an amazing and memorable time in Kona and we hope to be back soon!
