Our stay at Kanaloa Kona was a wonderful experience. Check-in was simple and although we showed up past business hours, the staff that was available was very friendly and helpful. We had no issues with access and the property was clean and had everything we needed including extra towels, bedding, beach toys, beach towels, extra soap/ shampoo, bug spray, kitchen equipment, basic pantry items, etc. Our host was responsive almost immediately and the location is central to so much Kona has to offer. Our family had an amazing and memorable time in Kona and we hope to be back soon!

It had a beautiful view! Multiple pools and hot tubs all nice. Good variety of kitchen appliances and serving ware. The ice maker was broken and the back slider didn’t lock but other than that it was perfect! Ac in every room. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, the accommodations were everything expected and more. We honestly spent most of our waking hours on the lanai. The views are spectacular. Th only heads up I would give, and it is not a negative with regard to the property at all, is the nightly cost shown does not include a lot of extra charges added on. I have never had that happen before and was surprised when I saw the final total as it was significantly more than I thought it would be. Would I stay there again…absolutely!!!!

Great location and beautiful views! We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The view from the lanai is amazing and feels very private, especially for a first-floor unit. The condo is well equipped with plenty of seating, beach gear available for use, and the A/C kept everything comfortable throughout our stay.A couple of suggestions for improvement: the pillows could use an upgrade, as they were either very hard or quite lumpy. The sheets were also showing wear—they felt rough and had noticeable pilling. Updating the bedding would make the stay even more comfortable.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return if we’re back in the area.

All 5 stars although Janice P. deserves at least 6 stars for her communication.The sunsets were amazing. Each evening, we would sit on the lanai with a drink watching the snorkel boats group up with their purple lights as folks snorkeled looking for Manta Rays. Although we did see manta rays and dolphins no whale “blows” were observed from the lanai.The condo was very well equipped for cooking and a KTA grocery store was only minutes away. The beach chairs were appreciated.Recommend visiting Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee Farm Tour and sampling delicious Kona coffee.

We had an incredible stay! This was our 2nd time in Kona and 2nd time at Kanaloa, but this condo is truly outstanding. The views are stunning, sunsets especially, and the space is even bigger than it looks. We saw dolphins off the balcony every morning, and manta ray snorkelers every night. Highly recommend and would happily stay again! Thanks again!
A few things to note, which were not at all problems for us but others may want to keep in mind:
- A flight of stairs to get into the main door, another flight of stairs up to the main floor, and a 3rd flight of stairs to the master bedroom.
- The small bedroom doesn’t have AC. If the door is left open, some air from the other side of the condo can make it in there, but it’s definitely warm.
- The complex sprays for pests monthly (liquid spray on all tile surfaces inside, takes a few hours to dry), so those with little kids may want to be aware.
- If a late checkout is available, the only option allows guests to stay until 4pm for an additional half-day charge. But there’s lots to do if you check-out like normal.
- Beds are super comfy and kitchen has everything you need.
- Tons of great beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and toys! It’s normal to only be given enough TP, paper towels, etc to get you through a day or two, but there are stores nearby and in town.

Ocean view was beautiful! With a grassy area right out front of the condo to the cliff side. The lanai has a beautiful view of the ocean with a table for four, a wet bar, & lounge chairs. The living area opens up to the lanai also! The condo was very roomy with one large full master bedroom / bathroom, an extra guest full bathroom and a Murphy bed pull out in the living area, which was large also. The full kitchen was very equipped with utensils /pots& pans etc a dining table also. Would highly recommend this condo, especially if you have more than two people! They also supply beach items any regular household items that you might need, also had a closet full.. with items like beach towels, thermal bags for the beach and a highchair, games & TVs for the rainy days (which unfortunately we had during our stay) and even some lotions, antiseptics etc. The secure area with the other condos -very beautifully landscaped with 3 Pools,Tennis Court, ping-pong table and beautiful scenery for the sunset with walking trail along the cliff shore line.The host was very easy to get a hold of and always responded promptly with any questions. 5 stars for sure!!

There is a beach path along the rocky shore past the ocean pool, very beautiful! Amazing stay, only down fall was the Kona Low that came in halfway through and it rained the whole rest of the time. Beautiful stay 10/10 recommend night manta snorkel!

The location and view from this condo were excellent, as were the condo grounds and pools. The unit itself was not clean, especially the very old, very dirty carpeting and furniture. It smelled awful, and there was a musty cigarette smoke smell throughout the (non-smoking) unit. Either the owners or cleaners tried to cover this smell with room fresheners which were horribly strong chemical odors which triggered headaches for me. We looked for ways to avoid being in the condo except to sleep.

The condo was exactly as pictured. You need to get food, drink and condiments as the only things provided are salt/ pepper and a mornings worth of coffee. The condo was clean, beach stuff is provided. If you are considering the Manta night swim or daytime snorkel, book with Fair Wind. They are in the bay next to the resort. Sunsets are amazing at the ocean view pool!

yes we enjoyed your condo w many charming features , and of course wonderful private location . we spent quite a bit of the time at the beach pool. The waves were spectacularly beautiful. The remodeling next door was disconcerting with pounding and sawing Realize not in very your control The washer was antiquated It was difficult to use with lengthy time cycles At one point while trying to set a cycle, there was a strong and unpleasant oder of sewage Very upsetting However a lovely location Thank you.

Our condo was in a great location and we were very happy it came equipped with beach chairs, pool noodles, and a water football! We had lots of pots and pans to cook meals in and the water and ice in the fridge was a huge plus! The blender that was provided in our unit had a piece broken and after I messaged the owner about it, he quickly had a brand new blender sent to us the next day. This was very sweet and helpful because we bought a huge pack of blender smoothies from Costco when we arrived. We loved using all 3 pools and hot tubs as well as the ping pong table and pickle ball court. We were very happy with this condo and location!

Aloha! This was a wonderful stay. Beautiful ocean views, amenities (we often had the pools to ourselves, pickleball was great and never crowded), plus beach and harbor visits in walking distance. There was a few minor things that came up early on and both the owners and manager were very responsive. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
