We enjoyed our stay at Kanaloa in Kona by Castle. The unit is huge and could accommodate 6 people very comfortably. It was clean and decorated lovingly with many interesting and attractive items. The lanai was lovely and we watched the most amazing sunsets every night while enjoying a glass of wine. The bathrooms had both been remodeled and were spacious and lovely. The livingroom sofa was a bit uncomfortable and could use some upgrading but that was minor. The entrance would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues as you have to climb a full flight of stairs to get inside but once inside it would be ok. The pools in the complex were also nice and tennis and pickleball courts are readily available as are bbqs.

Beautiful property! The view can’t be beat! Perfect for our all too short stay in Kona. Everything was clean and well supplied. Be aware there is a large staircase up to the main level - not a problem for us but may be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. We did have to pay extra for air conditioning - not that much. We probably would have been ok, there are a lot of fans, but we wanted to be sure to sleep well during our packed vacation.

Bigger than expected but not a huge fan of the carpet throughout or the chemical smell of carpet cleaner - it was darker than in the photos but the view from balcony was nice. Overall the complex is a bit dated but pools were nice and the staff were friendly. Kitchen was not stocked with things like salt and pepper etc. some utensils and dishes were not clean. There was water in some things. just certain things one would not expect for the price. Wifi / TV did not work for long - kept losing connection. Difficult when you have little ones who want to watch a show while you are preparing dinner. Happy we went but Overall the other place we stayed at was much cleaner, brighter and stocked with coffee, sugar oil, spices and was slightly cheaper.

Lovely location. One small blip with the hot water heater annoying beeping without resolution. Stairs would be a problem for mobility challenged. View was amazing.

Mahalo nui Amanda. Family had a great stay. Condo was perfect for visiting family to explore the westside of the island to enjoy a meal in or go out easily from this location. Super clean on arrive and ready for us to enjoy the visit. Great amount of room for all. Kids enjoyed the loft and pool.

Kanaloa 1704 is a jewel at this complex, probably one of the nicest properties in the area. We loved the sights and sounds of ocean waves crashing on the lava rock beneath the patio. We appreciated the split-level AC which came in handy during a few of the June afternoons. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well-stocked and the privacy, at the far end of the complex is unique among the units here. 1704 is probably the property I'd purchase if given the chance.

The location is nice. Nice pools. The view is absolutely wonderful. The place is larger than the photos indicate. in fact, there are (3) bathrooms, not (2) as the description indicates. We had lots of room for our entire family. That was a nice surprise for all of us. Furnishes, etc. all decent. The bathrooms updated. The biggest complaint is that the place wasn't very clean. The kitchen was really really "sticky". The floor dirty. Appliances pretty gross. Home was dusty. For the money we paid for cleaning, I would have expected better. I noticed another person complained about cleanliness. The property manager might want to make note and do something about it.

Condo was cancelled one month before we were scheduled to arrive. We were assigned another condo that wasn’t ready for our arrival and ended up with a condo comparable to the first one we reserved. Beautiful view and nice furnishings but the carpet was filthy and several things broken. I will be contacting Castle vacation rentals to ask for a partial refund. Would not recommend to others.

Gorgeous view from every angle. Wonderful Unit. It was a bummer that we had to pay extra for AC and there was a timer on it so it wouldn't keep the unit cool while we were out all day. Came back to a very hot unit, and took a while to cool down. Nice large patio outside, and with no unit to the right we have a great view of the coastline.
