It was nice having the shopping center within walking distance, but I recommend driving into Kona for better beach access (Keahou Bay Beach is tiny). Everything was exactly as described and we had a great visit for the holidays.

A couple of things to note that weren't obvious from the description; the 3rd "bedroom" is an open loft above the living room with no doors or privacy. We made it work but take this into account if your crew has sensitive sleepers. Country Club Villas are actually an apartment complex and this unit is on the third floor of the 3-story building. It has direct neighbors on both sides as well as below, but it was still very quiet and pleasant. Most noise comes from the adjacent golf course as they mow the lawns most mornings.
Apartment shows age but it is regardless very pleasant and well-functioning. Kitchen is very well equipped, wifi was fast and reliable, and we were very appreciative of the beach gear (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler.. even boogie boards and snorkeling gear!) available to use. Location is excellent for island exploration. Keuhuou shopping center has a supermarket, a drugstore and a couple of restaurants a few hundred yards away.

We had a couple of issues here, happily the management company provided speedy solutions for us. This condo is an end unit so has good windows and light coming in. It’s also right next to the pool, which was fun. Great view towards the ocean over the golf course, and easy parking with a level entrance to the unit. It worked fine for our group of 3 girlfriends.

Perfect location for us with a fabulous view of the golf course and ocean beyond. Very close to a great beginner’s snorkeling beach, as well as Magic Sands. Premises are very quiet. Well-stocked kitchen. Management was responsive when we needed additional dishwasher pods. Only caution is that the upstairs twin beds are shorter than normal…was fine for my 5’6” daughter, but not for my 6’ son. Other beds very comfy.

We had a wonderful stay at this unit. It was clean and large especially the deck. He had it well stocked and quality furnishing. Everything was top notch. One comment about only using 1/2 the closet is true but we had adequate room in the closets and drawers. It does not have air conditioning but has the best ceiling fans I have ever used and we did not have a problem using the ocean breeze and fans. He had deluxe blinds on the windows and patio.
It is in a fantastic location with an easy walk to the shopping center with grocery stores, drug store and some of the best restaurants, Thai, Mexican, L & L Barbeque on the island.
The view from the large deck with a great barbeque overlooking the 17th hole and the ocean in the background is great. Kevin was great to communicate with and very accommodating. Would love to go again.

Comfortable stay with the exception of no a/c. In October, high humidity and 90+ weather. Great view and sounds of ocean, rain at night, and birds. The Coqui frogs were fun, but I can see how some would find them annoying. Nice location, able to escape craziness of town, and close to Captain Cook with good restaurants and places to explore. Ice maker was unusable, tub was plugged (but fixed quickly), and lanai shade was dirty from birds staying in it.

The unit is nice, although it is lacking in upkeep. The entry door would only open 2 feet and the shower head in the secondary bathroom spewed water throughout the bathroom. A handyman had to respond to fix both. The doorway could not be fixed because of wood rot on the door frame. The kitchen cabinets were infested with termites, and we had to deal with wood droppings on the counters and stove top daily. Irritating thing is when we reported the termites to the rental agency, they already knew about it but gave us no forewarning. The oven handle was broken, and there were five slats missing from the vertical blinds in the living room leading to the lanai. We could draw the blinds but could not close them making complete privacy impossible. Also, the ceiling fan in the living room and bedrooms were stuck on one speed. The unit itself is nice and roomy, but definitely in need of repair and update. It has the appearance and feel of being shabby. My rating on cleanliness was because of the termite infestation.

This was a great place to stay for the Ironman World Championship. Close to grocery shopping and Longs Drugs and easy access to the Queen K and Kuikini or if we wanted to drive along Ali’i. We didn’t use the Kona Trolley but it was close by if we wanted to use that transport option. We appreciated the king size beds and AC in all the bedrooms and it was nice for 4 adults. The view from the balcony was relaxing and we enjoyed the sunsets every evening. The pool had a spectacular view of the ocean and the property itself had beautiful foliage and flowers throughout.
We had a wonderful trip to the Big Island and look forward to returning soon.

The owners have covered every conceivable base. There is even a set of golf clubs. If you prefer bar soap to body wash, bring a bar of soap. That’s it.

This location is close to the end of the property (so close to the pool). This is a well stocked place for all kitchen implements and feels more like a home than a rental.
It’s paradise, so my only recommendation is to shower off at the hale before heading to the pool because of the local critters.
Every morning, we were greeted by three little birds, which added to the charm of the place. Towels and items were well stocked as well as ice chests and snorkel gear.
Would absolutely stay here again. Had friends staying two drive ways over and I absolutely loved this place by comparison.

It was lovely sitting on the deck and watching the golfers as well as admiring the gorgeous view of the ocean. We spent a week at the condo and overall enjoyed. The condo is large and well equipped, they have beach equipment (Incl. snorkeling, towels etc) and the kitchen is well equipped. about 15 mins drive for downtown kona and good starting point to travel to Hilo and Volcano national park (about 2 hrs away each).
A few things to notice - 1) AC - there is small and old AC in the main living area (not sufficient) , another one in the 2nd bedroom (good enough) and NO AC on the master. You cant open any windows in the master. The master gets VERY hot and the AC from the living area isn't cooling it out, despite leaving that AC on for days. Pretty bad 2) There are no light-blocking shaders in the master. You will get light in as soon a sun rises. be prepared 3) The bathroom are VERY old. The issue is with opening the faucets - wife and daughter had to call me every tome to do that. Not great
If the owners can fix issues 1-3 , I think this can become a 4-4.5 starts property

The property was exactly as advertised. It has a great view of the ocean with palm trees lining the shore and is steps from one of the pools. The kitchen is nicely appointed and has a full size refrigerator. Each of the bedrooms has a fan and a/c unit, the bedroom in the loft stays cool without a/c if the door is closed during the day. The information in the unit is quite good, it helps understand the lighting, fans and tv. Michael is a great host, very responsive to any questions.
The unit comes with a variety of sports equipment like snorkel and masks. Beaches are nearby, some within a short walk.
Overall, the unit was very comfortable. We spent many evenings on the lanai enjoying the fresh ocean air and the sunsets.

My family (2 adults, 3 kids between 9-13) stayed here for about a week and it was perfect for us. The condo was in a good location with very close proximity to a grocery anchored shopping center which was helpful. This is about 3-5 minutes drive from a good, beginner surfing beach. About 3 minutes the other way is the location of all the manta ray snorkeling/diving (which we did twice). Downtown Kona is 10 minutes away. There is a nice swimming pool here. The owners of the unit had all kinds of boogie boards, and beach chairs and toys you could use. This was really a good scenario for us. Perhaps most importantly, the communication with the owner was very easy and smooth. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect location for our stay! Short drive to beaches, snorkeling, and shopping. We travelled all around the island and this location was a good central location to make the drives not too terribly long when going south to Volcanoes or east to Hilo.
* Take note that this unit has no A/C. We had to keep the fans running all day and night with windows open (drawing the shades in the afternoon sun) to keep the environment comfortable.

This place was great. the location is ideal, most things are a 30minute-1 hour drive in Kona area. There is a great plaza about a 5 minute walk away with Grocery store, pharmacy, and some nice places to eat, also a great shave ice place.
The beds are comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the food we got. The gas grill on the Deck is great.
The deck is awesome, spent so much time just sitting and looking at the the palm trees and ocean. Golf course was not bothersome.
We enjoyed the pool and hot tub too which is a very short walk, not so close that you have to deal with noise, but not so far that if you forget towel and sandals you are in trouble.

Condo was very nice, clean and easy access to get in and out of it. We only had three things we would have changed. 1)When there were people upstairs from us, they would drag the chairs across the floor and they were very heavy footed. 2) It took us a while to get the TV going so we could hear the weather and eventually we had to call the cable company. 3) the things they left us to go to the beach we're old and we toted them all the way to the beach and tried to put the umbrella up and the poll's did not fit together. With the wind blowing it was hard to sit and enjoy ourselves trying to hold on to the umbrella, we both could not go into the water at the same time.
There was a very nice lady in the office, her name was Pam that helped us out with the TV. I guess the owner had been in for surgery and no one else was there. Pam was so sweet she brought us a dozen of her chicken eggs.
Overall we had a very nice time, and would stay there again.

The room was fantastic. We arrived two hours early and the managment was able to get us in right away! The room is ground level which is great for easy access, fromt row parking and a pool/hottub area very close by. You get a great view of the ocean and golf course. The grounds were not to busy or loud at all. The staff was very nice and helpful! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The amenities almost lasted my family of 5 our entire 11 day trip. The ac was good in the rooms but the main living quarters did get a little warm but not to bad. We would definitely stay here again!

Best beautifully remodeled unit. AC even in the loft. Great views and the best for morning walks to the bay. Really awesome trail to a gorgeous cove just 3/4 mile from the unit. Minutes to a little shopping center. Short drive to town, snorkeling beaches, yummy Black Rock pizza in Captain Cook and so much more. It’s our second time at this location and this unit was the best by far. Three pools and hot tubs are perfect for evening swims after days at the beach or out exploring the island. Property is managed exceptionally well. We had a precious flying squirrel stuffed animal left behind and they reached out so my brother could pick it up and so it home! Mahalo for everything!

It is a beautiful condo stocked with everything for a Hawaii vacation. The location is close to Kona with lots of restaurants. But the condo has a full kitchen for cooking meals if you just want to stay in and watch the ocean and beautiful sunsets.

It's a great condo. The location is fine and access is great. There's excellent internet and the kitchen is well supplied. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are fine. Other than one thing, this is a great rental unit.
As others have indicated, it has one major drawback, however. The unit isn't air conditioned, making staying in it during the day very difficult. We like to cook dinners when we stay in STRs, but it was impossible here, as the unit is VERY warm during the days. Cooking wasn't an option.
There is no privacy, as you must keep all of the windows and door open when you're in the unit. You can literally hear every voice outside and of conversations nearby on the golf course.
Nights were uncomfortable for me, although my wife found the nights OK. Energy prices in HI are roughly 2 to 3 times what they are in the continental US, so air conditioning is rare in HI. If you're not used to a warm climate, it can be difficult. Unfortunately that ruined the experience for us.

This property was amazing, beautifully decorated along with EVERYTHING you might need. Our family of 5 enjoyed every minute here. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning made the condo nice and cool, which is necessary in June, and we had everything we needed to make meals here.
Will definitely stay here again when we return.

Very nice condo. Convenient location to snorkeling, manta rays, atv tours, farmers market and Kona coffee. No A/C but a lot of fans and looks out over golf course and ocean. Lanai and BBQ are great!! Enjoyed our stay

The location was excellent! The unit is spacious so we could spread out. There are enough towels, beach towels, sheets, bedspreads etc so that was nice.
The mattresses hurt my back though, every morning I would wake up with back pain. The bathrooms are very old, could surely use some new plumbing and remodeling. The temperature of water in the shower did not stay constant once you set it. There was no way to take a bath as there was no plug for the bath tub.
Having a kitchen is convenient to prepare meals. The freezer did not freeze food well, it was colder than a Refrigerator but not like a freezer.
I would stay there again / recommend it with a new better mattress and newer plumbing in the bathrooms / remodeled bathrooms.

The property was beautiful! They had absolutely everything you could possibly need. The Manager, Lisa, was so very sweet and so helpful. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The sunset was awesome. This is the most beautiful island I have ever seen. The people are so nice too. One young girl gave me a lei. It was close to lots of things.

We walked into the condo and we were immediately wowed! The view is amazing! We did not expect a view this spectacular! You see the ocean from the front door and it only gets better!
Everything is outstanding. The owners have clearly invested a lot of money making this a superior unit! The furniture itself is art, with engraved wood and unique end tables that look like a touch of the ocean. The large sofa is so comfortable, providing so much seating. The TV pulls out for everyone in the room to enjoy. The bedrooms are all perfect, including the loft with two twin beds and a privacy divider. The master walks out to the lanai. The lanai is very large, with a bbq and a beautiful table and chairs for six. Plus two comfortable chairs that recline!! That was a game changer in the best way, to enjoy the view of the golf course and ocean in recliner chairs! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The art work is amazing, local Hawaiian art! They have thought of everything, all the beach gear you will need, lots of games in the hidden spot under the sofa footstool, binoculars to watch the ships, pantry supplies, lots of beach towels. A view of the pool from the large windows in the family room. A beautiful pool with an ocean view! Lots of seating poolside.
Oh and I cannot forget the welcome package! I will let you be surprised.

We would definitely stay again, as the location and all the extras were more than expected. The pictures and views from the lanai don't do the real thing justice; definitely great and one of the best parts of the stay.
The only negative experience we had was with the neighbors one door down to the south, as they seem to not be used to having children around. We spent a lot of time out on the lanai, and kept noise levels within reason and "quiet hours", but those specific neighbors made a few passive aggressive comments and even yelled at our children once.
Other than the neighbors, the listing exceeded our expectations, and we'd return again!

We had an incredible stay here! We appreciated all the small gestures such as beach gear including towels, chairs and umbrellas! We had an amazing view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets each night right from our lanai! The host was great at communication and even recommended places to not miss out on while we were there! I highly recommend this condo especially for anyone traveling with kids or other family members! Great layout and perfect location!
