My adult kids stayed here while I stayed in another unit. Here are their notes:Yvonne and James:Thank you so much for providing such a lovely space for our stay; the accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and functional! We also very much appreciate the treats of chocolate and coffee, truly the perfect welcome! Below I have listed a couple of issues we noticed during our stay.The dryer does not appear to be working, the drum turns and timers work, but the heat element seems to be in need of repairThe right closet door comes off the track quite easily, it seems the track lock piece is not attached to the top postThe upper small floating shelf in the bathroom is tilted forward, and seems a bit detached from the wall backingThe bug spray in the closet was empty when we went to use it.There is only one business card left.One of the knives in the knife block was missing. A drawer on the left side of the dresser is missing the pull ring and seems to be broken.The first aid kit was empty, with only a bandaid or two.They loved the decor and the AC in the bedroom.

Great location and well appointed unit. While repairs are being done to Unit C stair towers, they are desperately needed for Unit E stair towers also. Metal brackets anchoring posts as well as framing angles that support beams are extremely corroded.

Everything was as promised-the condo was beautiful. The pool was so clean, it was quiet and peaceful. The sunsets from the beach were amazing! Back to the condo-any amenity you would need, especially coming from a long distance. Directions were easy to follow. Highly recommend staying at Kona Isle!

The space was clean, welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed the friendly community of the building and the staff were helpful and responsive. The pool was perfect and there was hardly anyone in the pool so we pretty much had it to ourselves. The coastline on the property was the perfect spot to listen to the waves while watching the sunset at the end of the day.

First of all, we really enjoyed the clean, comfy condo! The view from the balcony was so nice.
Secondly, the grounds and the pool were immaculate! And the public saltwater pool right next door was really cool.
Third, we were really happy with the available beach equipment, which included a pop-up, chairs, beach towels and masks/snorkels.
Overall, we had a really nice time and we appreciated all the attention to details for a great stay!

The view couldn't be better. The condo was very comfortable, well outfitted for our needs. No AC, but we knew that going in. Lots of fans helped. No elevator, that detail I missed when booking, made it a challenge for us 65, but once inside the view made the climb worth it!

In general the stay was very nice. The shower was a bit low flow for our tastes, and someone had tried to fix a slat on the blinds before we stayed there, and it fell apart on us. But the condo was nicely appointed, and had beach stuff to use. We bought and left a clip for the mask and snorkel since it was missing. It is a very nice location.

If you are planning to stay at the condo most of the time, this is a good condo, because you can leave the AC on in the afternoon. If you leave during the day, he asks you to turn off the living room window AC unit. When we returned back to the condo at 7:30pm and turned on the AC, the condo was so hot, it couldn't cool the condo down. We ran it all night long and never pulled back the blankets or sheets the whole week we were there, because it was so hot. We would have enjoyed our stay so much more, if the temperature at bedtime would have been 15 degrees cooler.The condo grounds are lovely. We used the BBQs by the ocean and had dinner on the picnic tables watching the waves. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. It was really nice having an assigned parking place.

The view shown in the photos is a side-long as opposed to direct view from the lanai, but there is an unobstructed ocean view. This condo is very well-stocked with necessities and more, including games, playing cards, beach chairs, a small cooler and umbrella, as well as toiletry items. We had a small issue at check-in but it was quickly fixed with a phone call to the owner. The property is lovely and well-maintained with a very nice pool and common area with picnic tables and lounging chairs for oceanside relaxation, plus gas grills. Parking is convenient. It is in a great location, removed from the more-touristy area but close enough to get to a luau or to shop as desired. The king bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need for vacation cooking. The A/C is located only in the main living area, but strategic use of a fan cools down the bedroom fast. Overall this is an exceptional place to stay in Kailua-Kona for a couple or couple 1 child, 10/10 rating!

This condo was great with an amazing view of the ocean. Possibly the best condo in this place. The only downside is that I did not realize it had no ac, but otherwise was fully equipped. Not too bad of a downside because of the cross-breezes and ceiling fans.

We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and this was the perfect home base. It was convenient for our daily excursions and we enjoyed sitting on the ocean front chairs just a few yards from our door watching the sunset each evening. We could hear the waves crashing at night and the birds would wake us in the morning. The managers were very responsive and when we asked for fluffier pillows, brand new ones were delivered that day. The condo was very clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities, including a nice welcome bag, and beach chairs & umbrella for excursions. We used a phone app that had 5 different routes and suggested places to stop along the way. We enjoyed the variety of the island....from the erupting volcano, to lush rain forest trails and waterfalls, luaus, a chocolate tour, shopping, fun food stops, black sand beach, and breathtaking views. We were busy every day for 6 days and there is still so much to see and do. We will be back!

This property was the perfect place for our Hawaiian getaway. The location is superb. It’s close to town and within walking distance of many amenities like coffee shops, markets, restaurants, and shopping. The complex is oceanfront with a pool and private beach area. A great place to relax and enjoy the amenities. The condo was clean and well appointed. The owners were communicative and check in was a breeze. This is a property we would definitely return to.

My partner is having some health issues that limited our ability to leave the property as much as we normally would. He was so happy to sit on the lanai and watch the ocean on the days he couldn’t leave. We saw dolphins several times from the lanai and the sunsets were gorgeous. When he would nap during the day the beach out front was a great place for me to sit and read. You can hear the waves all the time but especially at night. We both slept so well, the bed is very comfy. It’s a cozy space but we felt very comfortable for the two weeks we were there. It’s an older complex but the grounds are well maintained, the grills are the best ones I’ve ever seen in Hawaii! We would stay again, happily.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary. We enjoyed drinking coffee and eating breakfast on the lanai while watching spinner dolphins off the coast. The beds were comfortable and the place had all the amenities we needed, including beach chairs and a cooler for beach excursions. The location could not be beat. We definitely can’t wait to come back to this piece of paradise!
