We absolutely loved our stay in Yan and Gary's beautiful oceanfront condo. We have stayed in many different condos in Kona over the years, but this was our first time at the Kona Isle. It will not be our last, as we really enjoyed the vibe of the complex as well as the location.
This unit was direct oceanfront and the view was spectacular! Yan and Gary have done an excellent job of furnishing and provisioning the condo. It was the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in a vacation rental... even sharp knives! The bed was extremely comfortable.
I spent most of my time in the super comfy swivel rocking chairs on the lanai when we were "at home" in the condo. It was a perfect place to watch the beautiful waves breaking, the many types of birds in the grassy lawn and of course, the gorgeous sunsets.
The AC unit in the living room did a good job of cooling the bedroom at night, which was the only time we needed it. During the day, the ceiling fans kept us quite comfortable.
We will be back!

This condo delivers the relaxing, tropical, low-key Hawaiian isle experience. The place is updated, clean and comfortable with most amenities. The best part is the oceanfront location with lanai -- looking out to lush grass, palm trees, ocean waves and feeling the sea breeze. Along with the inviting mini beach of lounge chairs in sand, under the trees. The location is fairly ideal for walking or driving into town and exploring other parts of the island. We would stay here again.

Everything was fabulous and exceeded our expectations! The suite was very clean and bright and was equipped with everything we needed from cooking meals to being beach-ready. They have thought of everything for an easy and enjoyable stay!
The highlight was waking up to the amazing view right outside the lanai - very private and comfortable to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast or a glass of wine while watching the amazing sunsets.
Perfect location in Kona - close enough to everything but far enough away for peace and quiet. Again, the oceanfront location of suite was perfect to watch the surf, sunsets, and whales - which was the highlight.
10/10 highly recommend!

Beautiful oceanfront condo. The condo was quite comfortable and spacious and well equipped. Loved that there were beach chairs and an ice chest for our various outings. Having A/C for overnight made sleeping comfortable. Property was beautifully landscaped and loved the beach area for soaking up the sun and the pool for cooling down. Our favorite spot is the lanai and whale watching and taking in the beautiful sunsets. We definitely plan on coming back and staying in this condo again.

In my many many many years of renting vacation cottages, I have never seen a home so well-stocked with everything. We took spices and such, but there were many things available had we needed them. Every kitchen utensil imaginable is there. There were numerous things that we bought but were in the house such as trash bags, cooking spray, olive oil, and plastic storage bags. The cooler and wonderful beach chairs were greatly appreciated. A washer and dryer is a great bonus even though we did not use it. Now…..LOCATION! The beauty of the gorgeous water and the pounding of the ocean waves could entertain us for hours. We had not anticipated the fabulous whale watching!!!!!!!! That was amazing. The grounds were immaculate as was the great grilling area. We did not use the on-site swimming pool, but the fascinating tidal pool nextdoor was a jewel. Gorgeous small birds entertained us right on the front lawn.
We were fortunate to have the full moon during our stay. That, combined with the gorgeous sunsets, was a beautiful ambient touch.
We could not have been more pleased with the condo and the area of Kona.

The view from the condo is amazing! The salt water pool is right next door and was so much fun to relax in. The condo complex was neat and tidy, and we really appreciated the quiet hours between 10pm and 8am. I only have two suggestions to make it even better: Accent lighting in the living room would be a huge improvement. It’s hard to read on the couch at night with just ceiling lighting, plus it’s just not very cozy. Also, shades for the lanai doors/windows would be great so you can walk from the bathroom to the bedroom in your birthday suit without putting on a peep show for anyone who might be passing by. Oh - and providing shampoo and soap would be nice. We got in at night and had to run to the store for those items so we could shower after a long day of travel.

Yan and Gary’s condo is a true gem. It’s a perfect layout for a one bedroom and had a well equipped kitchen and a bright airy space. The lanai is incredible with an ocean view of the waves crashing on the rocks and amazing sunsets.
The location in Kona is perfect for exploring downtown to the north and all the excellent spots south of Kona. Easy access to two step for awesome snorkeling, magic sands for playing in the waves and great bars and restaurants in town.
The condo complex is never too busy and everyone is relaxed and friendly.
If you love tide pools you can walk right out the back door to the rocks to explore and see eels, urchins and tons of fish. We have seen dolphins from the lanai on every visit.
It’s truly an amazing place for someone looking for a great Big Island and Kona experience

My wife and I were blown away when we arrived at Yan and Gary's condo. From the picturesque view of the ocean, to the upgrades and amenities witting the unit, this was everything we could have hoped it would be. Yan and Gary thought of everything to make your stay in Kona as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We 100% will be coming back. 10/10 recommend.

Property was beautiful. Condo a bit dated but clean. Hot Water pressure in shower was poor. AC in bedroom as opposed to main area would have been preferred. Overall very nice place. Homeless people living in bushes right next to property was a bit unsettling as they walked through property at times.

We hadn't been to Kona in decades and were very pleased with the stay and accommodations we had. The complex is very peaceful and has easy access to town. The beauty of morning coffee from the lanai table and comfy chairs, to the nightly "show" (amazing sunsets) from the lounge chairs next to the surf was divine. The unit was well stocked with all we needed for a great week... from cooler to chairs to all kinds of cookware and dishes. AC and/or ceiling fans are available if you needed it. The owner and on-island property assistant were very responsive and helpful with the one issue we had (getting the TV to connect so we could catch the local news for the Maui and Big Island fires). We would suggest perhaps making a "cheat sheet" for the tricky cable/TV connection for your future guests. ;) (It would be helpful and not create more work/calls or texts for anyone. ) Other than the very minor TV tech glitch, everything was great for the two of us, and our need for some R & R was granted before I return to teaching in the new school year. Mahalo for sharing your condo with us for the week!

This lovely ocean front condo exceeded our expectations. It is super clean, beautifully decorated, modern, and well cared for. It’s obvious from the moment you step into this place that it is special. We loved the grass front yard which most places don’t have. The evening sunsets were an event we looked forward to everyday. The entire complex is very well cared for both by the management company and the other residents. The pool is lovely and a nice place to hangout when not exploring the island. The lanai is a beautiful peaceful place to have breakfast, enjoy a glass of wine, or watch the sunset.
The owners, Yanping and Gary, always responded quickly to any questions we had. They were wonderful to work with.
We most certainly will be returning to this quiet hidden gem.

This was a wonderful place to stay during our trip to the Big Island. We were right on the water at ground level. Every morning was peaceful for morning coffee. The afternoon sunsets were spectacular. The condo was better than advertised. We were close to everything in Kona. The facility was very quiet and we had our own parking space. The washer & dryer were great to have. We would definitely stay here again.

Good location and comfortable condo, but a some curtains on the patio door would go a long way. With lights on, everyone can see into the condo and no ability to provide privacy.

Overall our experience was very nice, it’s a cozy place close to all the restaurants, water activities and beaches. The view is amazing, couldn’t have asked for more on that.
The only glitch is that the property doesn’t have any curtains on lanai door which hindered our privacy but otherwise it’s worth every penny.

This was an excellent property and close to most everything you will want to do in Kona and beyond. It was a very nice view with a awesome sunsets . The property was very clean and had a lot of what was needed : beach chairs , umbrella , coolers and anything else you needed for the beach . All the kitchen items also . We loved that ! Mahalo to letting us in early when the unit was ready !

This unit is truly in paradise. Communication was great with Yan and Gary. They were there for us every step of the way. Check in was simple. A message before hand includes all the information to make check-in a breeze. Everything is updated in this modern condo cottage and clean. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. The view is beautiful from the patio. I was lucky to have a whale viewing our first day there. The ocean view is amazing, great sunsets and you can hear the waves throughout the unit. Even though some issues with the buildings plumbing the owners worked with us and were there for us every step of the way. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

It’s a perfect location to get to town, or go south for snorkeling. My husband is a huge fan of the tide pools. We can watch the waves for hours. You won’t be disappointed.

We loved this place. Amazing view and you can hear the waves crashing troughout the house if you open the patio up. The private beach is very peaceful and well kept. There are a decent number of things you can walk to. A market and a couple of restaurants (Green Flash was a great breakfast stop). It's a scenic 30 min walk to get to the tourist strip (or a $7 uber). A few bugs here and there but we just kept our bags closed. Overall perfect stay.

So this place is just as you see it online. Its has the amazing view and the ground floor location made it so easy to go out the 30 feet or so to watch the sunset. The unit had everything we needed and we were very comfortable there. The bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and 3 month old son had the honor of staying at this amazing location. The location could not be better, steps away from the water. The host was very accommodating and wanted to make sure that we had the best vacation. We spent most of the time outside watching the water, even saw dolphins a couple of days. This is the best vacation if you want a quite relaxing time. We were very sad when we had to leave.

The condo looked exactly like the pictures on VRBO - including the sunset from the lanai. Furnishings and amenity descriptions, as well - no unexpected surprises. They even had Tommy Bahama beach chairs and an umbrella that we were able to take on a couple of beach excursions to other places on the island. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Isles. This unit is perfectly situated. The ocean-facing units (Buildings D and E) are definitely the better spots, both for view and quiet nights. We spent a lot of morning, evening time relaxing on the lanai, enjoying the view and sound of the surf. This unit had the plus of being recently remodeled and air conditioned, though we didn’t need it. The owners were quite friendly, responsive and very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Paradise Lanai is perfect. There was nothing we didn’t love. From the moment you get on property, we realized it was a magical place. We spent hours just watching the waves. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. I really can’t recommend this place enough. On our last morning we booked it again for the future. It was so hard to leave!

It was a beautiful view right from the Lanai! We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities. The complex is quiet but everyone is friendly and there’s a place to lounge right on the ocean and a large community bbq area also right next to the water. The bed was very comfortable and all of the linen was very nice with extra pillow options! Can’t wait to come back!

This condo was the perfect size for the two of us to enjoy the Big Island. Sunsets on the lawn were incredible! The setting was peaceful and even though it is located on busy Ali'i drive, we couldn't hear the street noise as this condo is in the very back. Great stay!

This is truly a gorgeous place to stay and what a great location! You have the ocean directly out your patio door with beautiful sunsets, and you are close to restaurants and beaches, too. Additionally , I cannot say enough about how helpful and accommodating the owners have been during our stay. We would love to come back again.

This property was perfect for our vacation. The condo was clean and perfectly sized. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. A/C works great. And the back patio has a gorgeous view of the ocean. All you hear are birds and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks. Its the perfect place to sit and enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks and a sunset. There is a pool onsite but we never got around to using it. The owners were incredibly nice and checked in via text to make sure everything was perfect. I will definitely be staying here the next time we come to visit the big island.
