I stayed here with my family of six and it was a great place to be! We’ve been to the Big Island many times and South of Kona is a convenient location. The condo was immaculate and beautiful. The property owner and manager were both so easy to communicate with and very responsive. View from the lanai was gorgeous. Kitchen was well-stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Snorkeling is our top reason for this trip, and it was wonderful to stroll across the street to snorkel at one of the top places on the island. When it was closed (morning clean up of previous night's storm), we could walk back and re-check an hour later. Sooo convenient.We also enjoyed the grill, hot tub and pool.We did load up at Walmart (skip the produce) but more convenient, and in the opposite direction of traffic is the Houkeau shopping center 3 minutes away.No restaurants really nearby except a tavern at Houkeau so we enjoyed grilling and eating out on our balcony.Wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved this condo this was the 3rd island and 3rd condo we stayed in so glad it was our last one otherwise we would have been so disappointed in the others. The views were spectacular. Stayed a month in this comfortably furnished quiet condo. Master suite and 2nd bedroom are at opposite ends. Plenty of beach gear and nice kitchen. Unit and property is well maintained. We returned again to the condo just south on Ali’s Dr, which makes it convenient if you want to go into town, but much quieter out of all of the hubbub. Directly across the street from one of the best snorkeling areas the side of the island it’s a beautiful location for your Hawaiian getaway. The condo, as always is in great condition, clean, and convenient for access to all of your vacation fun.

We had a nice long weekend here and would love to come back for an extended stay sometime. It's just across the road from our favorite snorkel spot. Sadly a high surf warning closed that beach for 2 days, but we enjoyed the pool and other nearby beaches. It was only a 2-hr drive to catch the latest eruption, so we were able to drive down there and back one evening. The condo is spotless and has everything you need. The views from the lanai, kitchen and main bedroom are beautiful, so you won't want to go out for meals. Chad was excellent with communication and sent out detailed instructions and lots of ideas for activities in the area.We also made great use of the fish and invertebrate identification guides. Wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended! The photos don't do it justice as the high ceilings really make it extra spacious.

Location is great with beautiful snorkeling right across the street. Surfing lessons right next door. Do not buy snorkel gear. Bring some alcohol swaps and clean whatever you want to use in the huge cache of snorkel gear and we left a nice boogie board behind. Highly recommend you go to Costco straight from the airport as it’s between the airport and the house. The amenities and cleanliness of this place are outstanding and the management is quick to reply to text. Really helpful staff. Hilo is about 1.5 to 2 hour drive but while there goto Carl Smith beach and swim with turtles. The pool and barbecue are great and we cooked several nights. The Apuna is a good Sandy beach about a 50 minute drive. Magics is a good Barb and restaurant about a mile from the house. Again the management of this property is top notch.

Ben spared no expense in the updates made to his home. Everything is absolutely first class. Too many amenities to list them all. Ben quickly responds to all messages and even let us check in a little early. I’ve snorkeled in many areas of Hawaii, and I have to rate Kahalu’u Beach as my #1 favorite place, which is located across the street. The bay is large and shallow, so the visibility was great with the fish and turtles just 3 to 4 feet away. Entry is easy enough for small children, with two lifeguard stations actively watching. We have only great things to say about our stay. Everything was just the best, we only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for everything, Ben!

This unit was well thought out, well equipped and the hosts were very easy to work with. We appreciated its proximity to Kahalu'u Bay and South Kona. This property has an excellent location and pool/hot tub amenities. Due to the high surf on several days we took advantage of the pool. The lanai was great and awesome views of the ocean. One item of concern was the air conditioning. We paid 20 per night during the booking, however the air conditioning was unable to cool the unit under 80 degrees Fahrenheit. We followed all of the directions but the velocity and temperature of the air flowing coming out was not going to cool the unit. We wish we could have stopped paying for the air conditioner since it was not cooling the unit.

Much to like about this property. Location is excellent: across the road from beach for snorkeling and swimming, not far from shopping center with grocery and drug store. But several miles into downtown. Area generally quiet despite being close to busy Ali'i Drive, Parking always available, but a squeeze for larger vehicles. Unit in prime corner location with nice view of pool and beach. Self closing screen entry door a pain if your arms are full. Unit was very clean on the inside. Plenty of large, high quality towels. Lots of hangers, but too much of closets taken up by owner's maintenance items or locked cabinetry. Beds had comfortable mattresses and climate-appropriate bedding. Plenty of kitchen towels, utensils, flat-wear, and dishes. Lots of functional beach gear in bin on patio - masks & snorkels, chairs, boogy boards - nice-size cooler, too. A few observations on the down-side. Exhaust fan in master ensuite roared like a semi-truck and would be an annoyance to the neighbors -- was only used during the daytime. No kitchen pantry or other dry storage -- all cupboards are full of kitchen ware. RO system at the kitchen sink did not work. Living room furniture is large and crowds the area, same with the patio table and chairs. The unit is smaller than made to appear in the on-line photos. Overall we were more than satisfied with this rental and would definitely return again.

Property is as described, located at a good location with easy access to beaches, restaurants. Condo is clean with sufficient amenities. We have a small issue with the microwave oven and the property manager on site (Britney) went beyond and had it replaced the next day (ie. on a Sunday). We highly recommend the property if you need a safe and clean place to unwind after long days of activities.

Great place other than one issue.Only major downside was having to reset the AC timer every 2.5 hours at night. I feel so sleep deprived. The house would turn into a sauna as soon as the AC timed out. And took an hour to cool down again. It made for very long uncomfortable nights.

We absolutely loved our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable and really lovely, and the location across from an incredible beach for snorkeling and surfing could not possibly be better. We snorkeled a few times a day, and a few of us tried out surfing. It was really lovely being able to shower off outside afterward and then enjoy the pool and hot tub as well. Literally the only thing that I would add to this unit is an inexpensive drying rack for the balcony. We were traveling with another family, who rented a similar unit below us and that also really worked out well. Mahalo for a beautiful stay!

Our family of 5 (9, 12 and 14) stayed here for 4 days. The kitchen was well set, the rooms and bed set up was great, there were beach / pool towels and some snorkel and fin gear.
