The place was just as advertised - very clean, newly remodeled, and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We appreciated the fact that there were wine and cocktail glasses, and a full set of dishes and bowls. Several of the places we’ve stayed at had a small amount of kitchen Items, and not enough to accommodate a family of four.

This is a perfect location for easy access to all the sites on the Big Island. The accommodation is beautiful. We have stayed in multiple vacation rentals in Hawaii and this far exceeded our expectations. It had everything you could possibly imagine to make your vacation. We enjoyed our stay for 2 weeks in this condo. We have stayed in other condos in this complex and this condo is by far the best we have stayed in. It was very clean when we arrived. Communication with Kristi was very easy. The condo had everything we needed. We appreciated having a small supply of spices and condiments. The beach equipment saved us from renting or buying. Beds were very comfortable. We loved opening the curtains in the morning and looking out on the golf course. The furniture on the upper and lower lianas were so comfortable and clean, a favorite place to enjoy our down time.

We stayed here for six nights and had an amazing time. The place is spotless with super cute decor. It was stocked with just about everything you could ask for. Just a couple minor things: there were no cooking seasonings or oils- not even salt and pepper. The other downside was that the cooler they provided was so huge we couldn’t even get it on our rental car. It would be great to provide a cooler bag or something smaller for day trips. But again these are minor things. The place is very comfortable and the complex is very quiet (no traffic, no chickens, etc). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The grounds were amazing. The house was great, with a few things that need some attention. It was a good fit for my family.Im a bit of a clean person and I have a toddler, they come messy, lol. I couldnt find a mop of any kind so i was cleaning with washcloths. While doing this, I noticed the floors were not mopped before we came. If they were, it wasnt done correctly. Being so close to nice beaches and having access to beach toys was great, thank you for that. Having a pool for the evenings to tire the kids out was nice. They also loved the tennis courts. We couldnt find a pump for the basketball or we would have enjoyed that as well. Whe we come back, this property will be one we look into again.

We spent a fantastic 8 days at Cindy's place. It is stocked with absolutely everything you could think of in terms of beach chairs, equipment, etc. It was very clean upon checkin and we didn't encounter any bugs. It is in a great location within walking distance to the shops etc. Our kids spent a ton of time in the pool! Would definitely stay again.

The condo is as pictured - nice furnishings, lovely lanai, good separation of the two bedrooms. The ceiling fans were enough for us and we didn’t need the air conditioning. The pool area was very nice but we spent most of our time seeing the island and hanging out on beaches. We made dinner several nights and it was very relaxing and pleasant to be in the co do. I highly recommend this place.

The view and location are one of the least advantageous within Colony Villas and since the condo is professionally managed, there are no benefits typical to privately offered rentals - e.g. kitchen equipment basic stuff only, no hobby equipment available (locked away in garage), limited towels, etc

The Big Island is so diverse - from cattle ranches to artists colonies to Hilo and the amazing Lemay museum. The property is wonderful space - very homey compared to a resort- many serving dishes and kitchen utensils. Barbecues are spotless. Swimming pool and hot tub a glorious end to a day or just lounge there all day!

The condo severed our purpose for our visit. Condos faced each other so don’t expect views. Pool water was too chilly so we did not use it, but the pool area had several bbq grills to grill on. Kitchen was not too well equipped with cooking utensils but we did with what was there. The place did have comfortable beds and the AC worked well on warm days. All in all our stay was comfortable.

As other reviewers have noted, the unit is a bit tired. We had a couple cleaning issues but the VRBO staff responded immediately and took care of us. For the price this is likely the best deal in Wiakaloa Village and the pool and pickleball courts are immediately adjacent the home.Parking for the second vehicle can be tricky in the evening hours, we always found parking but a couple nights we had a long walk. Which we enjoyed as the property is beautiful. The designated stall for the first car is close to the unit. We would stay here again, but we do believe this can be an amazing stay with a little upkeep and updating.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation - the location was ideal, the amenities were top-notch, the kitchen was well stocked and they had all the toys you would need in the garage for beach fun including ice-chests beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. We just had to pack a bathing suit. The host was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and sent us great ideas on restaurants and other things to do in the area. We felt right at home and would definitely stay here again

Condo was nice and clean but there was no extra toilet paper or paper towels. We had to wait about 5 hours for them to bring extra supplies. The toilet was also making a high pitched whistling which we had to wait for two days to get fixed because there is no maintenance on the weekend. Luckily, we had ear plugs but it was pretty annoying.

The property was directly adjacent to the entry gate with a constant flow of traffic thru the gates. The condo DOES NOT have an exterior parking space and the so-called free spaces were constantly occupied by other owners who used red cones to block access for others, therefore, renters had to park in an extremely tight garage. Also, upstairs bedroom did not have a chair or bench seat so that you could sit down and put on your socks and shoes. I just used the stairs. Otherwise, the place was well located in Waikaloa Village, and had a great updated interior.

This is a Vacasa managed property. It was ok on clean standard. Dusting need above frig and ceiling fans. Thermostat had a limiter set to 73 for AC. One bedroom is located above the garage on the unit and would be warm than the others. Beds good are. Things you need in the kitchen and for the beach are available. Short supply of cheap toilet paper. Everything mechanical operatored properly. Check-in information was not provided to until 23 hours prior and no map was provided so you had to search for the unit.

We had a wonderful time at the Condo while in Kona. A great location to multiple amenities and the host was fantastic. There were many supplies provided and the condo is in great shape. Pool is maybe 150 feet away with a couple of grills that were nice.

This was a nice central spot for all our adventures. The beach closet in this condo was stocked with everything we needed. The coolers were nice to take to the beach and the two umbrellas were very helpful. Located very close to the pool the kids loved that. We played pickleball most days they had four paddles and balls. Could have used more bath towels, but plenty of beach towels. This unit only had salt and pepper as they said, just take note before you arrive that you’ll need to bring your own spices. Great condo, excellent communication from the owner. We would recommend.

We visit Waikaloa every Christmas break and always stay at the Colony Villas. We love the location! This property is good and needs a little bit of attention to make it great. First, the pros: Great beds, updated master bath, great location. Cons: there is something off with the plumbing. There is this awful noise emanating from the hall bathroom. We promptly reported it to Vacasa and they sent a lovely individual who advised us that there was nothing he could do because there is air in the pipe. The noise made it hard to sleep for some of us. Also, in the same bathroom, the bath tub was slow to drain which made it very annoying for folks using that bathroom.Finally, the dishwasher needs to be replaced because it does not do a good job cleaning and we had to run the same load multiple times.

Would definitely recommend this villa! It is spacious and well designed and was comfortable for our family. It was very clean. The owners have decorated, furnished and equipped it well so it was comfortable for us and everything we needed was provided. We only cooked breakfast there but the kitchen was well equipped to cook other meals too. The location is perfect in sunny Waikoloa and we enjoyed the gym, pool and tennis courts within the complex. The owners are good communicators and had clear instructions for checking in and checking out. They were flexible to let us check in early and check out an hour late due to our flight timings.

The location of this rental was its strongest asset, providing convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities. However, several serious issues significantly impacted our stay. The air conditioning wasn’t fully accessible to guests, which made it difficult to adjust the temperature for comfort. We were uncomfortable discovering there was a surveillance camera installed in the lanai area, which felt like an invasion of privacy in what should be a private vacation space. The cleanliness was also concerning - we discovered a plate with leftover food scraps stored in one of the kitchen cabinets, and most troublingly, we encountered a cockroach in the living room area. While the property has potential due to its prime location, these issues with cleanliness, privacy, and guest comfort need to be addressed to provide an acceptable experience.

Rental comes with everything you thought you could ever need and then some. Garage full of every kind of beach and vacation gear imaginable. Kitchen has every appliance and gadget and is better equipped than what you have at home. More toiletries in their bathroom drawers than you can buy at CVS. Their linen closet puts yours to shame. A drawer of supplies for the neighborhood cats that come visit the back deck. You will be well taken care of.

This VRBO may have had more amenities than any VRBO I have used — 4 boogie boards, numerous snorkel sets, tennis rackets with several new canisters, 2 pickle ball sets with numerous balls, probably 15 or more large beach towels. You name it and they probably had it. House is a short drive to restaurants, beaches, market, shops, etc. I was impressed!

This was our third stay in Colony Villas. We were very pleased overall with the property. We could have used more towels and a bath mat in each bathroom. Neither of the GFI outlets in the upstairs bathrooms was functional, but the handyman did help to discover that the reset button for those was in the downstairs bathroom. Not exactly self explanatory and nothing in the property book made mention of this peculiarity. The bedside lights in the master bedroom insufficient lighting to read. Higher watt bulbs are needed since there is no ceiling light. Once again, overall very pleasant with a good floor plan and a quiet location.
