This was a very well equipped clean and gorgeous house with everything you need for a trip to the Big Island. We enjoyed the area and the pool and the grounds are well looked after. Convenient shopping beaches and restaurants close by. Highly recommended!

This property was the perfect stay on the Big Island. It included everything you would need in a kitchen and extras like beach chairs and towels for the beach. Mattresses could use some replacement though as they were a little uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed but overall a very pleasant stay!

Very spacious and convenient stay for a group of 4. The unit included everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms and had extra beach gear in the garage. Older furniture needs to be updated especially the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. The unit was clean although the washing machine and dishwasher could have used a deep clean which you could tell had not been done in a while. Overall a very good stay!

Comfortable beds too. Watching the golfers is fun as well. Definitely would stay there again if we return to Waikaloa Beach!

We stayed here with our family of 4 and my husband's 92 year old father. Bedrooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and the unit was large enough for us all to spread out. Generous supply of beach towels, chairs, and equipment made going to the beach easy. On breezy days there was no need to turn on the AC, as the unit has two sliding doors, fans and many windows to allow the air to stay cool. Wonderful spacious kitchen with large granite countertops for easy meal preparation. The pool area was an easy short walk behind the unit, but never noisy. Lionel was immediately responsive to any inquiries, even supplying two types of coffee makers to satisfy all coffee making preferences. We highly recommend Lionel and his lovely unit.

Places very clean and well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Also includes snorkeling and boogie boarding gear, which is great for that area.
Guest bathroom showerhead had very low water pressure and made showering difficult for my guests.
The master shower on the other hand is very nice and a great relaxing experience

Great property with pool and amenities nearby. We had a great trip! Good launching spot to explore the island. Very comfortable condo. Only thing we’d have different is the flooring in the unit. Many cracked and broken floor tiles and fortunate no one cut their toes.

The condo was very clean. The complex is very nice and beautiful.
The location can be loud outside the front bedroom because the tennis courts are so close and open at 7am.
A few mornings our alarm clock was the sound of people yelling and grunting while playing tennis at 7am!
The back bedroom is much quieter.
The condo is spacious and clean but not one of the updated ones.
The sofa needs to be replaced. It’s very uncomfortable and the beds as well.
We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this one was very basic and average.

Our first trip to Hawai'i was comfortable and easy staying at the Colony Villas. The nearest pool to the villa is not toddler friendly, but there is another one in the complex that works well. We understood from the VRBO listing that renting a car was necessary to get to and enjoy the beaches. We also made the couple hour drive two days to see waterfalls and Volcano National Park on the other side of the island and were glad we did. The townhome is a good place to hang out between outings - comfortable bedrooms, easy for cooking meals, space to lounge and watch a movie - but not so much for spending a lot of time. The patio is not very large and is in shade most of the time. We were very happy with our vacation rental.

It is a home, and we felt so welcome the moment we walked in. It has everything! Appealing and thoughtful decor, comfy bedding, plush linens, great kitchen equipment (good knives! And everything else you could want!), strong wifi, private outdoor space with nicely furnished lanais, quality beach equipment, new large appliances, and plenty of essentials (soaps, paper goods, etc.) provided for our full stay. Condo 1802 was perfect for our family. My daughter and her family are all athletic. The children could go to the pool, hot tub, fitness center and tennis courts on their own and we would know they were nearby. The condo was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. Also plenty of linens. Everyone packed light so the washer and dryer got used a lot too! Thanks for everything.

We had a great stay at this Colony Villas condo. The unit is in a great location within the complex—close to the main pool but not too close. Colony villas is a little further from Queens Market and Kings’ Shops (slightly more than a mile if you wanted to walk) but it’s quieter.
The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of beach supplies that we unfortunately didn’t get to use.
Check in was easy, but a map of the complex with our check in instructions would have been really helpful as we arrived late at night and as typical for the area, there are very few outside lights so it was hard to find the building. Check out was simple which was much appreciated.
We visited the pool every day. The main pool is closest to the unit and is also where the bbq grills are. The second pool is a bit further away but it gets very little use. We went there one day because all the chaise lounges were being used at the main pool and no one was at the other pool (which has a kiddie pool but no hot tub).

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen/beach supplies are well stocked. The living room furniture has been updated since the photos were taken, too. The only thing that proved to be a bit of a pain for us was having two cars and only one parking spot. The listing doesn’t explain that there are other spots to park within the resort area but they fill up every day, so it became a daily stress for us trying to search for limited parking whenever we used our second vehicle, and sometimes wouldn’t find any. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Well they spent two whole days working on the back gate but still never got the entry gate to open. Still blocked off with pylons. Also the downstairs toilet is a bit wobbly. If the next occupants could pick up some pepper that would be great. The place has salt but no pepper. The beach chairs are a bit worn but still functional. Other then these things it is a great place to stay and we would definitely come back again.

Location was good. This unit was not spotless in terms of cleanliness, but not terrible. At the price per night, my expectations were higher. The kitchen is not well equipped (dull knives, not enough dishwasher detergent, only 2 kitchen towels provided, about 1 tsp of salt/pepper, and only 3 bowls!).
Technically can sleep 8; felt full with 2 couples and 3 kids. Three bedrooms upstairs, 2 with queen beds, 1 w two twins. One rollaway cot with an awful mattress and a sofa bed which we did not use. Main bathtub drain very slow. There are only 6 dining chairs (yet sleeps 8?!) Zero beach equipment included with the property. Also wouldn't hurt to add some hooks or someplace to hang wet towels and such as there were none and the rules forbid hanging things outside.
We loved the pools at Waikoloa Colony Villas, and the fact we were in Hawaii on a vacation!

This unit is well-situated in the Waikoloa Colony Villas. It is quiet and peaceful but a short distance to shopping and beach. As noted by previous reviews, the unit is very well equipped in the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. Our family group included a 7 month old, and the Pack and Play was a great plus. The owner is so helpful and easy to contact and communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

There were several items about this Waikoloa Colonies condo that we found undesirable. The cleanliness of the condo was not very good. We found that the coffee maker still contained coffee grounds in it as did the coffee pot. The upstairs shower flow is so low making it very difficult to rinse off and could use a hand held shower head instead. The upstairs shower pan looks as if it has not been cleaned in very long time and was stained with dirt. The upstairs toilet would move around and the TP dispenser was so low that the TP would get knocked to the floor most times the toilet was used. Several of the vertical curtains were missing on the downstairs sliding door. At least one of the dining table chairs was taped and glued back together. The condo could use a major remodel. We enjoyed the pool area which was very clean and well maintained.

This is a very nice place to stay. I was a bit concerned about the check-in ahead of time, but it worked out perfectly.
The unit is beautiful and very upscale. There was an abundance of beach towels which was very much appreciated.
The grounds and facilities available in this complex are very well kept up.
It was too bad that the back entrance gate was not working as this unit is located very near that back gate. Hopefully the complex can get it up to speed in the near future.
I would definitely recommend this unit and hopefully we can stay here when return to the Big Island.

I always try to leave a detailed review about any property that I stay at.... so here it goes:
This is a larger complex but the directions that were given were very accurate from the airport. If you follow them you will arrive without complications.
There are two gates but you can only come IN the front gate. The back gate is only for exit as there are cones in front of the entrance.
There are two pools. The closest one is colder and quieter. The other is warmer and also has a hot tub and barbeque area. Your key works for both.
There is a pretty strict noise ordinance. We were there with another group who stayed in a different home and they had 2 children. There was an immediate noise ordinance complaint on their door in the afternoon due to excess noise from the kids at the pool at 8AM.
There was a generous amount of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a small bottle of dishwashing soap and a new scrubber. There was an ample amount of washing machine detergent. There are NO condiments other than salt and pepper.
The furniture is very nice and comfortable. The beds were nice. The mattresses are FIRM. I liked that, but my friends did not care for hard mattresses.
The parking spaces are small so be prepared if you have a larger vehicle. We had an Expedition so it was a bit of a challenge.
You CAN walk to the Queens and Kings Shoppe and to the beach...but it is a hike! The golf course is nice and close. All in all a great location and property.
