Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waikaloa Colony Villas! The property itself is updated, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. There was plenty of space for our family of four (kids, ages 15 and 10). There are beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, boogie boards, a cooler, etc. as well. The two pools, hot tub, and workout center in the gated community was a nice touch. The unit could be a little cooler; it was difficult to sleep at night. We messaged Paul around day 4 and he was prompt to knock the temp down a bit for us to make it more comfortable which was wonderful.
The directions on the listing takes you to the back entrance which is coned/blocked off and cannot be accessed, so make sure you enter through the opposite gate.
Overall, it was an amazing trip. Our family would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed in the property in August 23. The location is very convenient to Hapuna beach and Mauna Kai resort. The condo is in excellent condition and has everything you need for the comfortable stay. The AC and the fan are sufficient to cool off the rooms. We enjoyed the stay very much!

We looked for properties in Waikoloa, most required at least 5 nights. We were staying 4 nights in Hilo and needed only 3 nights in Waikoloa. So grateful that we were able to rent this clean, well stocked, condo. The host was attentive and responded to us when we asked that the A/C be turned down a little more. We will return!

This is an amazing VRBO located in the resort area of Waikoloa. It is located next to the posh Hilton resort and close to the Mauna Lani resort as well. Both have beautiful grounds and nice beaches. Paul is very organized (kitchen cabinets label where everything goes) and the place is well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need in case you want to prepare your own meals. There are plenty of beach towels and beach gear.
It is very modern and spacious. There is a nice pool right around the corner. The upstairs bathroom has an awesome double shower. Also, a full bath downstairs as well. Easily accommodates a family of four. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Paul.

It was a great space to spend with my mother who has a heart condition that interferes with activity. She could easily relax, have everything she needed on one floor. Unfortunately for us our pool was closed for repairs and the other pool was too far for her to walk to. There was also no place to park the car near the other pool that didn't have a 20 minute time limit. She didn't want me to risk getting towed, or have me drop her off, park at our unit and walk back to her. Because I would have to leave her at the unit, I only went to the pool/spa tub twice for a short period during our 1 week stay. I was also uncomfortable drinking the water from the fridge because the filter needed to be changed. My mother also uses the TV to help her fall asleep and the TV in her bedroom didn't work. We messaged the property owner on the TV and the water filter and we were thanked for providing the information.

It all went well once we cleared up the parking pass concern. Condo was comfortable and very clean. The one regret for us was that we would have preferred to turn the air conditional off completely and been able to have windows and doors open a little bit to get fresh air and enjoy the climate there. The set temp was much higher than we prefer but we could not control that at all. But, since we were rarely there except to sleep, it all was okay and the condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, etc.

We had a great stay in this condo. Check in was very simple. The location within the resort is fantastic, right by the back swimming pool. The condo was very clean and had all the necessary items we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. The bathrooms had both been recently redone and were very nice, however there is no bathtub if you're traveling with an infant. There are removable showerheads in both bathrooms that were helpful for bathing our 3 and 5 year olds. We did have a technical problem (completely out of anyone's control) while in the condo and Paul was very responsive in resolving the issue.
We would definitely stay here again!

We had been planning this trip for a while, but kept postponing due to COVID-19 restrictions on travel. We were not disappointed at all once we finally arrived at Paul's condo in Waikoloa. This property fit our family's needs perfectly. Close to public access beach and it was great to be near a pool and grills. Would suggest clearer directions and how to get into the unit (bit of confusion on duplicate lock boxes) and could have used more basics supplies (paper towels, soap bars) since we stayed for a week. But overall a great property and experience.

Loved the location and amenities for this unit. The hosts were wonderful in working with us when we needed to reschedule our original booking and with a maintenance issue while we were there. Great suggestions for visiting the nearby beaches and General Store in Puako! Well stocked kitchen and comfortably furnished, very clean. Unit shows some minor usage signs (paint, floor and shower grout) we rate it overall 4.5 and would definetly recommend

Location was nice. Walked in and thought not too bad until further inspection. Overall cleanliness of unit was poor. Stains on bedding. Towels were old and thin. Foot prints on wall next to bed. Stayed one night and left. Took pictures and emailed owner and he said we overreacted. No refund was offered.

Lovely condo which felt more like a house. I never heard the neighbors or the road. The gym is clean and well furnished. The house was very well stocked with extras not found in other VRBOs and it is very orderly with matching sets not thrift store finds. Paul was responsive as well as housekeeping checking in on us. Overall, this condo was very comfortable for our family of 4. It was quiet with a lovely patio and pool. Place was just as described. House was very well stocked with all your essential needs. We ended up renting bikes just to get around the neighborhood and to get to the hot tub. It’s just shy of a 1/4 mile each way to the big pool with the hot tub. So a bit of a trek every night. The smaller pool is right next to the property but no tub. Other then that it was a great spot

Paul, the manager, responds almost instantly. Location really can't be beat... just inside the gate. Parking right at the door. Shops 5 minutes drive away, beach about the same. Main road 10 mins away.

We were so pleased with this property! It had everything we needed to enjoy the island - lots of beach toys, chairs, towels, even coolers! And even a large walk in closet that functioned as a separate room for our 18 month old. The space is bright and clean and navigating to and from was a breeze. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a great time making this property the home base for our Big Island vacation. The location is great--right in Waikoloa Village, so not really super close to everything in Kona, but there is so much to do in the immediate resort area. We found a lot of great restaurants, beaches, hikes, and things to do nearby.
The pool area in the complex is beautiful (although the pool itself is freezing! Some might say refreshing...) and the fitness center is small but adequate. If you are a runner/walker, you will find that the resort area is great for your daily exercise.
The home itself is spacious, clean, and the kitchen was clearly labeled so we knew where to put everything. Lots of space to relax indoors and out.

This unit was very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture. Only improvement we can think of would be a couple of new Tommy Bahama chairs. The current ones have been well used and are near the end of their lives.

Overall great stay. Location is quiet and convenient close to the back entrance, community grills, and pool. Nice layout and the beds were comfortable, nice furnishings, and the kitchen well-equipped. 2 beds and 2 baths (one up, one down) works well for a family of 4-5.
Note that the A/C is locked at 76 degrees. This was a bit too warm for our preference coming from Seattle making it difficult to get a good night's rest.

Unit is located close to the pool and back gate which made things very convenient. The parking stall is right outside the front door. Lots of extra bedding and towels. There is a balcony upstairs and downstairs, which is a nice place to have a coffee or a small family dinner. Queens Marketplace which has a grocery store and restaurants is a 3-5 minute drive away. This was a perfect place for our family to relax for the weekend.

We have been coming to the Big Island for the last 8 years and have stayed at Paul's beautiful condo at least 5 or 6 times (would have stayed here all 8 times if it was available!).
The reason we love it so much is because it has EVERYTHING you could ask for and more: perfect location within Waikoloa Beach Resort, up to date/modern and clean condo, fully stocked for cooking and beach activities, right next to one of two Colony pools, and a cardio room and weight room for those who like to work out. It's also very spacious and QUIET.

Beautiful place! Feels like home. A very good location. Large house, quiet Green hidden patio. Lot of household supplies. Swimming toys, beach chairs, body boards, mask for snorkeling.
Parking place is large and very close to the house. . Two large swimming pools are nice and quiet. 12 minutes to the Beach 69 and 15 minutes to Hapuna State Beach. Walking distance (20 min) to the Dolphin point. 5 minutes to the shopping center.

We loved this place for the immaculate grounds and the nicely appointed condo. Just get some coffee and breakfast food , there are plenty of supplies to get started. Would be great for 2 couples as bedroom bath areas are pretty separate. Lots of towels. If you come in the back road to complex the parking spot in literally the first spot of the right about 100 feet from the gate, and its right by the front door. The pool is right behind the unit, far enough away you can't hear it but only a very short walk. A great shallow area for sitting and a pretty big pool with lots of cabanas and chairs. Almost all adults when we were there if there was anybody. Nice grills and restrooms also.The front pool is pretty large with waterfalls and a hot tub ( Covid rules 15 minutes per group) and people were great about it. Nice chairs with coolers built in and boogie boards in unit. Lots of other beach stuff for all ages. Sat upstairs on balcony every morning after sunrise for coffee with only the breeze and the birds was awfully nice, very quiet place. Nice private outside patio for eating and enjoying breeze. Hope to visit again.
