Really can't go wrong with Gail's condo. It was clean, well-kept, well stocked, and the BEST location! Just a short walk across the road to a great snorkeling beach and surf spot. Hop on the trolley to great dining and shopping. Just a short drive to the marina for excursions. Well-stocked kitchen to cook the day's catch as well as breakfast every morning. Great setup with each bedroom having its own bathroom. We were a family of five adults and were all comfortable-even with one on the sleeper sofa! Gail was an amazing host with valuable suggestions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This property worked well for exploring the Kona side of the island. This is a small condo complex which feels very private. The unit is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. The two things that made this a great place to stay were the outside dining area of the unit which overlooks the beach across the street and the pool area. The pool had an infinity edge which also overlooks the beach. The hot ton felt great there were areas that were shaded.

We wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at your lovely condo - it was completely perfect for our first trip to the Big Island - and my goodness what memories we had there. We slept so well and had everything we needed! Britt, the onsite manager was fantastic as well.
My kids also enjoyed the pool and the area was quiet and peaceful - even with all the snorkeling activity across the street!
I'm writing the review now that I've returned home to the east coast and I'm missing the view and sounds from the lanai already. Aloha and best wishes to you and everyone who stays!

Our stay was so nice and the location for this condo is perfect! A short walk to the beach and a 10min drive to all the shopping and restaurants. The pool was a decent size and my littles were able to walk around part of the pool which is great. The beach across the way is very rocky so bring water shoes you don’t want to be barefoot but incredible snorkeling we even say sea turtles! The condo is decent sized, great views, we were able to cook and prep most of our meals. Everything was perfect for an easy stay with family. Also the lanai view is incredible, we ate most of our meals watching the waves and sunsets it was so nice. Absolutely recommend this place for a wonderful stay in Kona!

We really enjoyed our stay. The Eddy's were very sweet, approachable and helpful. The condo is accessible if you have use a wheelchair/crutches. The entire condo was an easy layout. The beach is right below the condo and was great snorkling and even has a covered pavilion to sit out if you dont want to get in the water. The condo was as pictured. We loced the Big Island and hope to come back again.

We stayed at Gail’s for 3 nights in November while visiting the Big Island. The condo is fantastic! Location is incredible with great snorkeling on your doorstep. Anything you need is in the condo, the grounds are lovely and it is a quiet complex. Will look to stay here again!

We had a great time at Gail's place! It was wonderful waking up to the ocean out your windows and taking in breakfast on the lanai. The place was comfortable and they had everything we could have ever needed from pots/pans to spices. The on-site property manager Britt was easy to get in touch with (not because anything was wrong but because we left something!) Great Snorkeling beach right across the street! We appreciated Gail's condo during our weeklong stay in Hawaii. It was easy to get all around the island from its location, and it was very easy to stop at Costco in between arriving at the airport and checking in to the condo!
What was a huge help were the condo's amenities, especially coffee filters, a cooler bag, beach towels, and beach chairs. There were also plenty of condiments/spices, so we didn't need to buy those. The beds were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable of those at any rental I've stayed in. We appreciated having A/C, but we were also able to leave the doors open and the ceiling fans on in the evening.
It was really nice to sit on the lanai and eat breakfast and dinner with a view of the ocean. We did snorkel at Kahalu’u Beach Park, down the street, but it's being loved to death by people and the coral is suffering greatly. We had much better snorkeling at Kona Dog Beach and Honokohau Beach (which also had turtles).
The only issue we had involved the deadbolt lock on the door. We were not given a key for it, and we felt uncomfortable not being able to deadbolt the door when we left for the day (the deadbolt is usable from the inside when you're home). Perhaps this is a big-city fear, and I emphasize that we did not have any security issues. I spoke with the property manager our first day about getting a key, but she was not able to provide one.

We rent alot on VRBO and I have to say this is one of our favorites. The place was clean very well stocked. The couch let out into a hide a bed that was perfect for the younger grandkids. The beach was right across the street great for snorkeling, restaurants and grocery stores right around the corner. There were sand toys for the kids,boogie boards and lawn chairs too. We had forgot our sunscreen but there was some there so when we bought some we left it for the next guest. Diffantly would come back and stay here.

My family of 4 just returned this evening from Hawaii after spending a week in Gail and Eddy's beautiful condo! I will try to keep this review brief, though I have many wonderful things to say. First of all, the location is great! We loved that it was right across the street from Kahalu'u Beach, where we snorkeled and saw so many different types of fish and even a large turtle once. The ocean view from the kitchen, lanai, and master bedroom was incredible -- gorgeous sunsets! The condo itself was clean, well decorated, and well stocked with everything that you might need -- water bottles, boogie boards, beach towels, coffee maker, pots and pans, spices, etc. Also, we loved spending time at the pool and hot tub -- both were well maintained, and we loved the view of the beach from the swimming pool. The communication with Gail prior the trip was great! She was always very helpful and responsive. Upon our arrival, we had a couple quick questions for Britt, the property manager, and she was also very pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime in the future!

Excellent setup for our whole family. Beach toys, beds, pool access, kitchen, parking, etc. We had a bit of a hard start getting the details to check in (be sure to coordinate at least a day or more before arrival to get the lockbox code and number for the local property manager), but Gail was amazing to work with and we loved our stay. I highly recommend this location.

This is a great property for a family of 4 or maybe a couple of more. Everything here was ideal for the way we like to travel. Location is close to a great snorkel area yet is in a quiet nighttime area. Condo was well stocked and plenty roomy.

We enjoyed our stay at Beach Villas. It was nice to be located slightly out of the downtown area, yet close to the harbor for snorkeling and boat tours. The condo is directly across the street from the beach. There had been a tropical storm right before we arrived, so the water was murky. By the end of the stay the water was beautiful. The condo was updated and well equipped. Some new towels would be nice.

We (parents and kids 14 and 16) stayed in Gail's condo mid-June and we absolutely loved it. It was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The porch (lani) was great for watching the amazing sunsets and snorkeling right across the street was incredible! We saw about 25 different kinds of tropical fish and snorkeled with sea turtles. They also like to feed at high tide by the surf shop just down the street and my husband and daughter took a great surfing lesson there while my son and I watched the turtles. Magic Sands beach was great to boogie board and get an Acai bowl with delicious pineapple toasted macademia nuts or dinner right on the water that was excellent. Great location close to the town of Kailua-Kona and we took day excursions to Volcanos Nation Park and Hilo for the waterfalls. Would stay again for sure!! Jennifer, Rick, Lila and Luke

We have stayed here two times and absolutely love it! This condo is beautifully furnished and in an ideal location across the street from Kahalu'u Bay where there is good snorkeling, swimming and surfing. The view from the Lanai is one of my favorite parts of this condo as you can watch the sunset and palm trees while drinking Pina Coladas.

This condo is just spectacular! I can't speak highly enough about it. I have been three times now and just love it. From the moment you walk in the door and look across the condo, out the lanai at the Kona Coast you just feel relaxed and happy! Everything is neat, clean, relatively new, and decorated so nicely. The two bedrooms are great and comfortable, the kitchen is so nice with everything you need to make meals, and the lanai is our favorite spot to eat on the island! The pool is great with an excellent view of the Kona coast. Everything is so relaxed and quite too. Right across from a great snorkeling beach filled with fish and sea turtles, and there are so many things to do on the island, we just have to go back soon. The owner is also great at suggesting things to do. I'm already thinking of when to get back. I'd recommend this condo to anyone!

My wife and I have stayed in this condo with friends twice now and it has been superb both times. It has plenty of space for two couples and it's great to have a full kitchen to avoid going out to eat for every meal. In fact, cooking our own meals and enjoying the fantastic view of Kahalu'u Beach is our favorite part. We stayed on Kauai for three days without A/C before coming here and having the A/C was a life saver. Considering that Kahalu'u is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island for the variety of fish and the sea turtles (we've seen at least one every time we've gone snorkeling here), I don't know what else I could ask for in a Big Island condo. I'm already a repeat customer and I would do it again in a heart beat. There's so much to do on the Big Island and this location is a great home base.

Exceptional rental! We have rented several times in Hawai'i, mostly Maui, and this is by far the best we've come across. It hits on all dimensions; good value, great location and view; and very nice interiors. One of the best snorkeling beaches is right across the (quiet) street. There is good shopping about a half mile away, and the quaint town (Kailua) is not far (couple of miles). We loved this place.

We had such a wonderful time staying in the condo! It is a great location to be based for exploring, or to step right across the street onto the beach for amazing snorkeling.
Gail is so helpful in making arrangements and recommendations too. She made it work for us with last minute notice, and all of her recommendations were perfect! The kitchen has everything you could need, and the condo is beautiful and comfortable. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave. The property managers are right downstairs and very helpful and fun. Nice to know someone is right there if needed.

We love the location of this property! As avid snorkelers, the direct access to Kahalu'u Beach was very convenient. And the view of evening sunsets from the lanai was also very special -- we actually saw the famous 'green flash' once at sunset. We also like the proximity to the Keouhou Shopping Center which has a large grocery store and several good restaurants featuring a variety of ethnic as well as American dining choices -- we especially like the crepes at Peaberry & Gallette.
The condo itself is nicely decorated and equipped quite well with all one needs for a very short stay or a very long one. Our bed in the master bedroom was especially comfortable. It was also quiet and very private. My spouse has a passion for his work as well as Hawaii and the internet connection worked perfectly -- he was quite productive even on 'vacation'!
Upon arrival at the condo there was a wonderful fruit basket from the owner wishing us happy stay as guests --and access to the owner as well as onsite manager is only a phone call away if you need anything special or even advice on fun places to visit and eat.
We loved our stay and would happily stay there again in the future.

Our first time using VBRO and not knowing what to expect our experience was great. Our expections were exceeded - the condo is in a great location, across the street from a great snorkeling beach and easy access to shopping and adventures. We like to do our own cooking so we really appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the BBQ by the pool and the very private lanai with the great ocean views to eat our meals. We definitely recommend this condo for anyone visiting the Kona area and will come back ourselves some day soon for another visit.

The condo was very clean and had all the necessities we needed. They even had boogie boards, a cooler and pool noodles. We loved the location as it is practically on the beach. My husband and I slept so well on the king size bed. The mattress was very comfortable. Gail was very easy to work with and was always available to answer any questions we had. The convenience to the grocery store was awesome as we used the barbecue at the bool quite a bit. The salt water pool was fantastic for my husband who has chlorine allergies.

I don't have enough room to write all the good things about staying in Gail's condo. But let's start with Gail- we've never met, but I feel like I KNOW her. She doesn't just rent out a condo, she acts as advisor and travel guide as well. She'll send listings of things to do, and sends her own list of fave things to do. Gail goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We arrived to find a basket of goodies (pineapple, cookies, papaya etc) plus a new sponge and starter supplies. These things make a big difference after a long flight. And if you need something, she takes care of it right away!
Now, the condo. It's located right across the street from the best snorkel beach in all of Hawaii. The view from the lanai up the coast is gorgeous...I could never tire of it. The condo is modern and bright and airy, and well kept. We loved listening to the ocean while we slept. The location is at the south end of Ali'i Drive, so it's quieter than being right in Kailua-Kona, yet only a few minutes drive into town. Or you can take the trolley on the corner if you don't want to drive.
This was our 4th time staying at this unit, and this time we stayed for three weeks. Not long enough! We'll be back!

condo was perfect for a family with 2 teenagers, having separate bedrooms and a kitchen was a must and they could walk across the street to the beach when they wanted. we used the condo as a base for sightseeing and spent as much time on the road as at the condo. we did the hilo volcano helicopter ride, the mauna kea space observatory ( boy was it cold even with the parkas), snorkeling at captain cook, but my kids favorite thing was the zipline at the north end with ecotours,

This is the condo we'd love to return to again and again. It's spacious and beautifully decorated, yet comfortable. A gourmet chef would love the kitchen and extensive granite counter space. The kitchen, as well as the master suite, opens to the covered lanai with gorgeous views, an inviting table and oh-so-comfortable chairs that will draw you out there from coffee to cocktails. The location is great with the best snorkeling beach across the street and it's a short ride into town for restaurants, shops, music, bars and the farmer's markets. There's so much to see and do on this island from exploring volcanoes, seeing the place of refuge, sea turtles, golf, beaching, watching sunsets... Gail offers great suggestions for activities and dining or whatever questions you might have. We had a great vacation with lots of things to see and do and a great home to return to every evening. While we were not able to stay in this beautiful unit due to scheduling, the owners were overly gracious to assist us with finding another unit at the same location. These owners are exceptional to work with and provide a very customer centric attitude to assist anyone interested in their complex. Plus, the owners provide a WONDERFUL FUN list to do while in Hawaii. They couldn't have been more helpful since this location is a gorgeous place to stay in Hawaii.

The location of the condo is ideal. The sunsets viewable from the lanai are incredible. There is a wonderful snorkel beach across the street that provides hours of entertainment. The condo has a very nice layout with the bedrooms at opposite ends providing privacy for the adults. There are 3 TVs that allows everyone their own view pleasure after a long day at the beach. The Kids enjoyed the sparkling pool and the turtle deck in the water.
It was a perfect home away from home.

Very pleased with the location, size & amenities of this Kahalu'U beach condo. Our family of 5 managed quite well. Gail was very helpful in providing information and tips to help make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. She even helped bail us out when we locked ourselves out of the condo. Truly made us her welcomed guests. Location was excellent for the excursions we took, both North & South. Might recommend some board games to enjoy on the lanai. We'd happily recommend this property to others.

This is absolutely a must-do place to stay while in Kona! I grew up on the Big Island, and wanted to stay near Kahalu'u Beach, the best beach in the Kailua-Kona area. I couldn't be more pleased with this choice. The condo is in a picture perfect location, and absolutely beautiful inside. There is not one negative thing to say about it. I will recommend this to everyone I know who makes a trip to Kona!

This condo is beautiful. We booked it for our 8 night stay (and first time) in Kona. We were so happy that we choose this island, this area, and this condo. We brought our own snorkle gear and snorkled nearly everyday. The sea turtles will swim right up to you. We Kayaked out to Captain Cook Monument and snorkled there-it was gorgeous. We also took surf lessons right down the street. We took a day and drove to the East side of the island. We went to Volcano National Park, saw many beautiful waterfalls and rainforests.
The condo had everything we could have possilby needed. I ate breakfast and drank my Kona coffee on the lanai every morning. Everything is so clean and well kept. Hopefully we will get to come back to Kona and we will surely stay here again.
