Please don’t be offended, but I was a little concerned when we arrived in the complex (carpet a bit worn, etc.) but upon entering your lovely unit it was like being transported.Your views are indeed incredible and the ever changing ocean and sky provide such amazing portraits of nature.Your kitchen is tidy and efficient—hexclad! (beautifully seasoned, I might add) I have the same knife block, and yours are even nicely sharpened (thank you thank you).Thank you for the shower chair—I know it’s not listed as a ADA rental, but this whole setup works perfectly and my little mom is so so pleased.No needs, just wanted to reach out to let you know how much I appreciate you.

Property was exactly what you see in the picture. Little hint- fans are run by remote controls and there is no air conditioning.The unit is directly on the shore so may become loud with wave noise which is not a bad thing. And the entry to unit parking is very tricky must know the entry point really quickly or you will miss it. Overall our stay was fantastic and would stay again

It was a lovely 3 bedroom condo right on the beach with the best ocean and sunset views. Watching local surfers in front of us from our balcony was amazing. Close to town. Only one little thing to improve would be the front bedrooms need black out curtains and maybe double pane windows to help with light and street noise. Even with that being said, we have already discussed going back and renting here again. The host was was kind and vey attentive to any communication we sent. Overall, a great place to stay!

Absolutely Beautiful condo and the view gets a 10 out of 10 stars! We spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the crashing waves. I appreciate how comfortable the patio furniture is, we loved spending time out there. The kitchen is set up nicely and my grown step-kids enjoyed cooking dinner in there. The beach chairs, umbrella and cooler provided helped make our beach days great. We loved being close to Kona, such a fun little town. IF there was anything that I could wish for it might be having walking trails close by (without having to drive to them). Ali road is just not the safest or the most scenic to walk along, that being said I realize all the condos along the Ali road are all in the same situation. There were so many positives about this area that I'm sure we will be back. I recommend 100%!

We had an amazing time in Hawaii and the condo was one of the best parts! We saw turtles and an octopus in the little cove behind the condo, it was amazing. It’s a great location, near everything. Mike, the host, is incredibly responsive and kind. The price was great and was beyond worth it! We are already talking about coming back.

Property was good, views breathtaking. Just a couple of mornings has some folks smoking pot on the compound wall in front of the beech. The stench of that was unbearable and we could not sit outside and enjoy our breakfast. All else was wonderful and the sunset was awesome. You will have to go down and enjoy the sunset though.

The location of the condo rates 5 stars for proximity to all the places we wanted to see and the fact that it was right on the beach but we had a lot of issues with it. When we first arrived, there were tiny bugs crawling all over the kitchen counter. I was told that they were coming out that day to do the routine spraying outside but it never improved. There were bug bait/traps in the bedroom and kitchen so this must be an ongoing issue. We had to keep all of our food items in the refrigerator or microwave to keep the bugs out. One night, a large bug crawled into my daughters pajamas as she slept. Needless to say, she was very freaked out by this. Coldwell Banker did offer to come inside and spray but I declined as I did not want my family exposed to those chemicals newly sprayed in our living area. In addition, the bedding in the bedrooms was stained, there were no extra blankets, the sliding glass door to the lanai locked us out several times (luckily one of us was inside to let us back in!), closet doors did not slide well and smashed fingers, and the curtains in the ocean side bedroom were broken so we could not close them. Also, the TV in one of the bedrooms was broken. I reported it but as we probably weren't going to use it, I declined to have it replaced. I expected more for what it cost to rent this condo and was disappointed in the quality that we got.

FANTASTIC view! Plan to have some meals at sunset on the lanai. This was most well-stocked rental I’ve ever stayed in. Toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc.The second bedroom gets warm, but fans help bring the cool air into it if set up correctly. Water heater isn’t generous, need to plan showers if traveling with more than 2 people. Great location and parking easy peasy!Host is super responsive and helpful!

Great place to stay, very very close to the shoreline and breaking waves on the rocks, so you would need to be happy with the white noise that is crashing waves. This does provide a great outlook. Thanks for hosting us.

If we come back to Kona , we will definitely want to stay here again. The ocean and breeze was breathtaking and the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed breakfast outside and just relaxing on the balcony while watching the surfers surf and the waves coming in!!

Overall, we had a good stay at the property. The location was perfect and the check-in went smooth. However, the property could’ve used a few updates we felt it wasn’t quite as clean as expected. The Facility was very dirty. (Elevator and walkways) still a pleasant trip and a decent value.

There were lots of things to love about this place. I would give the condo itself 5 stars for cleanliness, view, and proximity to the beach. The amenities were great; kitchen was well stocked and had sharp knives (I was pleasantly surprised); beach gear was plentiful. We had dreamy sunsets every evening and loved watching the surfers. We loved getting fresh coconuts from the store downstairs too! We checked in late at night, and the instructions provided to us were unclear as to where to park. That was a little confusing late at night, but we figured it out.I can't believe no one has mentioned the loud vehicles gunning their extremely loud motors outside the facility. I'm not talking about regular road noise. I'm talking about motors so loud that it jolts you out of your sleep in the middle of the night (especially if you're in the second bedroom). To be fair, maybe there's not much the owners can do except make sure the people in their lot are actual patrons of Kona Bali Kai. There seemed to be a lot of this in Kona. There seemed to be sketchy people hanging around the beach regularly after dark. There were some definite cons about this location, but I can't deny the beautiful, clean beach and access to Kona. I loved being right on the oceanfront. That was special. In spite of the significant cons I mentioned, we still managed to have our best vacation ever. Hawaii is pretty amazing.

The property is great, right in town and close to everything, with a beautiful ocean view off the lanai. We reached out with a small issue with the unit, Holly addressed it immediately. The condo is the perfect location to watch the surfers, view the sunsets, and hear the waves. It’s a mile from magic sands beach and about 2 1/2 miles to town where all the restaurants and stores are. Parking was easy and the pool was refreshing. The fully furnished kitchen was great and having a washer and dryer in the condo was a huge benefit. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great for my family. A couple things that would make this place even better would be a little more privacy. The sliders to the master bedroom don’t lock and the slider shades in that room are see through at night. Also the window in the kitchen and other bedroom don’t have any privacy glass so it is also see through. The bedroom curtain helped though. Overall we had a great stay and the property manager was very kind and brought us new beach chairs, new boogie boards, a new inflatable mattress and a new steamer. We had an unbelievable stay here and would love to come back.

We had a great stay. I will say that for us, the first night was very warm. We arrived late in the evening so the air conditioning didn’t have time to cool things down for us. We ended up buying a bigger fan for use. There are a couple smaller ones in the unit. We appreciated the cooler, beach towels and other beach amenities! Loved watching the surfers each morning right off the balcony. There was great snorkel a few miles down the road at Kahalu’u Beach Park!

The rental was beyond our expectations. It felt just like home and was extremely clean, well stocked both in the kitchen and bathrooms. Soap dispensers were provided along with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The rental also had several beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler for personal use, beach mat, and umbrella. Holly, our amazing host, provided so much and more. She was in constant communication with us, ensuring we made it safely to the condo and provided any additional information that was useful to us. From the minute we walked into the condo, you could feel the amazing breezes from being right there on the ocean. The views were amazing and the sound of the crashing waves was a perfect way to end each night. We will definitely keep this rental in mind when we return next year. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for your next stay in Kona.

I stayed in Mike’s beautiful condo with my 16 and 19 year old grandsons and their mother. It was perfect. Being so close to the ocean and hearing the waves was a special treat. Each morning, when the tide was out, my 16 year old and his mother explored the tide pools right outside. We all saw at least one sea turtle. Mike was a terrific host, always responsive to questions and gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, excursions, shopping, etc. We cooked in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed eating on the lanai.Everything was Great! This was our second stay at this amazing unit. Check in is easy, unit is clean and stocked with anything you might need. Views are outstanding. Beds are comfortable and a/c is always much appreciated. A/C added to the second bedroom is wonderful! We love checking out the tide pools and watching the waves and sunsets. This is a beautiful rental in Kona, HI. My family just spent 10 nights here, and it was great. The ocean view is even better than advertised, and easy to get to shopping and the airport in Kona. When I book condos, I look for 3 things: 1. Does it sleep and seat the amount of people stated, 2. How well stocked is the condo, 3. Does it have parking. This condo clearly meets the seating and sleeping requirement as well as the parking for us but the stocking of supplies is over the top! There were an abundance of towels, spices, shampoos, laundry detergent, blow dryers, plastic wrap, coffee, sheets, pillows and trash bags. We were there for R&R and cooked almost every night without buying extra supplies. And of course the view was spectacular!

The host Holly was quick to respond to my requests. The condo was well stocked with towels, dishes, pots and pans. Some rentals give you only a small supply of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish soap, this rental gave you more than enough. It was well located to grocery stores.Well worth the money.
