This is our third time staying in this apartment and we love it so much. My husband and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary and it was just how I remembered it from the last time we stayed. Hanging out on the lanai watching sea turtles and listening to the ocean. If you want an amazing place to stay with all the amenities this is the place for you.

I walked In underwhelmed … don’t judge a book by its cover. Just came from the Hyatt regency In Maui, this was our second stay on a 3 island visit. Little did we know it was exactly what we needed and wanted. The ocean …every single night. I don’t know how I’ll ever top that seriously, of all the stays in all the cities this was phenomenal. Clean, we barbecued, we cooked we laundered, we tended to wounds, there was everything we could need and more than should be expected, grocery store minutes away!! Snorkeling, cooking, first aid, shampoo. It’s truly home away from home. Book it with zero regrets. I promise!! If we ever go back to Kona we will stay here again without hesitation

The property was well appointed, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and it was clean. The real star is the lanai. You cannot beat the sunset views, the star gazing from the lanai, or the sounds of the waves crashing on to the rocks below. The lanai alone is worth it. I already miss falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean and enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the Pacific.

This condo was as advertised and awesome! The entire property is a bit dated, but safe, and very functional. The owner was easy to connect with and quick to respond. There is clear communication in the flat about everything from the local area, to wifi, to how to leave the space when you depart. Well stocked kitchen and lots of goodies left behind by other guests that we could use so it really had a communal feel. The breezes and sounds of the sea were awesome! We watched the morning surf group each day while having our coffee. Great parking and a great place to anchor as we drove to different parts of the island each day to adventure. There are grocery stores nearby, but you would need a car.

Loved this little condo! The views from the lanai were amazing! Spent many mornings and evening just watching the waves. Great location, close to Kona. Traffic out of the condo can be a bit busy at time though. No problem with parking. Inside was clean. Lots of plates/utensils/pots and pans in the kitchen. And loved having the use of the bbq downstairs. Pool/hot tub were nice but we didn’t use it. We’d definitely stay here again! Thanks!

Roomy unit, big balcony with excellent ocean view right below, convenient private washer/dryer along with detergent and fabric softener. Very helpful front deck and customer service via phone and texting.
Need updates on appliances and furniture: reclining chair yanks back unexpectedly, stove and oven unit doesn’t work well, no lighting on balcony. Not enough washcloths provided unless you wash them frequently (We stayed for a week.) There were some thoughtful items like books, snorkeling gear and small ice chest. Wish there were scissors and dishwasher detergent provided in the kitchen and facial tissue in the bathroom. There’s plenty dish soap, so we hand washed all dishes throughout the week, but couldn’t comply with their request to start the dishwasher as we checked out. There were plenty of other things supplied. Especially liked the high quality soap, shampoo/conditioner, etc. Generally a very good vacation place, just needs some updates.

This lovely condo is on the beach, in good condition with 3 bedrooms big kitchen, living room & impressive balcony with easy access to local town. Two homeless people slept in front of our front door at midnight one night over night … however our host immediately corrected this for the remaining nights. Scott

We loved being on the 4th floor (top) of Kona Bali Kai. Unit is perfectly situated so that there’s a clear view of the sunsets, surfers, and tropical fish and turtles in the ocean with no palm trees blocking the view. Fridge and cupboards stocked with extras including coffee, coffee filters, condiments, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. Both bathrooms had shampoo and conditioner, clean towels and extra toilet paper. We appreciated the extra supplies in the closet including bug spray, lotion, sunscreen, etc. Washer and dryer are extra capacity and are extremely efficient. We LOVED the quietness of the air conditioning unit. Living room couch is different from what was pictured. It is a wicker sofa bed rather than a sectional couch and wasn’t the most comfortable to lounge on. However, the reclining chair was great. We had to read the instructions on how to work the TVs, a few remotes were missing batteries and would prefer if the TVs were SMART TVs. King bed in the primary bedroom was comfortable. We loved having dual sinks and quality towels in the primary bathroom. It would be nice not to have to deal with physical keys to enter the unit and use a keyless entry lock. Communication with the owner was wonderful including pre-trip notifications, binder of information found in the living room, and text messages during our stay. Owner even let us stay a few extra hours after check-out for free because it worked with the next booking.

We (2 families, 7 of us) spent 5 nights 2024 new year, fall in love with this place. We decided to come back again this year. Stayed 6 nights during Xmas.No regret at all, we really enjoyed every moment of it, breathtaking view, gorgeous sunset, the most relaxing place is sitting on balcony. This place has everything we need for a comfortable living, very clean, well equipped kitchen for cooking. Host agent is very responsive and easy communication. The view and size of patio were absolutely amazing. Perfect spot to watch the sunset. Tidal pool that presented the chance to see some fish and the occasional turtle. Depending on the waves there were often surfers on the ocean at the other end of the building that one can watch. Some items in the room such as the fridge, dishwasher work but cosmetically are in dire need of being replaced. Fridge inside is clean but the outside top specifically was completely rusted. Personally found the comfort of beds were 7 to 8 out of 10. About 40-50 min walk one way into Kona downtown. Was a bus shuttle stop close by that can take you down town if you don't have a car, an option we didn't explore. We chose to drive and had scoped out a couple of free parking places in close proximity to down town. Pool has late morning to early afternoon sun. In the shade as the later afternoon comes along. 2 seperate BBQ areas containing 2 x propane BBQ'. Tanks are brought out mid morning and then taken away around 8 o'clock. One had to be lit with BBQ lighter that was in the room as the self ignite didn't work consistently. We generally were eating at or before sunset so never ran into a problem competing for the grills. Personally were satisified with the unit - we were either out and about or sat in the deck. May stay again based on the view. Expect to overlook a few cosmetic things as this is not a newly renovated unit. If you need a brand new or newly renovated unit be forewarned.

WOW! What a breathtaking view! We spent most of our time on the beautiful, expansive balcony listening to crashing waves, watching surfers, and enjoying the whales and sea turtles. The condo was very clean and stocked with everything we needed for a lovely vacation. The pool and hot tub were great, and the condo is conveniently located to everything! We love having the space and ability to cook, so hotel is not our choice. The condo was spacious with large patio with GREAT view. We watched the surfers, sunsets almost everyday. We ended but not cooking dinner, just breakfast on the lanai. Great location to explore that side of the island. Close to everything. Mike was great with info and communication. Check in process was easy.Few things need improvement: inside the drawers needs cleaning, bathroom needs new shower head. And extra bath mat will be nice, since it gets wet and if we forget to hang outside, it smells. Pool is ok - nice option for a late night swim.

The best thing about staying here was being right by the ocean and hearing the waves crash. I also liked how comfortable the beds were and how nice the place was over all. The unit was very clean and adequately equipped. It was exactly as described. Sitting on the balcony watching the surfers and the waves was mesmerizing. The only thing to be aware of is that 4 adults might feel like the 2nd bedroom is pretty small. But it worked fine for us and it was not a surprise. Highly recommend.

We stayed here two nights over Christmas. The host was responded quickly when we couldn’t find parking. It’s right across from a beach and we saw whales, dolphins, and lots of turtles. Great first visit to the Big Island, the views here are remarkable, listening to the crashing waves through sleep is anazing. Holly is a pleasure to coordinate with and the extra amentities throughout the condo are a bonus..saving time and funds more relaxing in paradise.Theres so many enticing places to eat nearby we struck up our own restaurant walking tour sharing small plates and ordering drinks at a few before settling into a main meal spot! We enjoyed the homey condo and the location...the island is big so picking an advantageous homebase is tricky, this worked well for us! Thank you for the hospitality and the memories!

I believe this is a slightly older property, and it is showing a little wear and tear around the edges, but not enough to seriously detract from the overall experience. Also, we requested a few little tweaks things – including the microwave, which just completely went out one day, but by the end of the day it had been replaced. Overall, the management was really good about staining communication and trying to take care of things. The property is located pretty far south on Ali’i Drive so you’re really gonna need a car to get out and about.I think the best part of the location is the fabulous lanai overlooking the beach-we spent many many hours out there having meals and just enjoying the warm weather and watching the surfers.

Very convenient location. There’s a popular poke spot right next to the building. Easy access to the beach. Only 10mins drive to grocery stores/restaurants. The unit is very clean. I like that they have a washer and dryer in the unit. It is somewhat noisy at night because the window is facing the street. But I sleep with earplugs anyways so that’s not a problem to me. There are a couple floating boards in the closet for us to use but there are no beach towels. I did see some beach chairs at the parking lot but I’m not sure if that’s for everyone.

Pretty much everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there. Just had to buy our food, put it in the fridge and we were good to go.
Forgetting logistics, the view of the ocean was unbelievable. We pretty much just had the screen doors to the linai closed and the glass doors open. The sound of the ocean was really soothing. Great location. I can't say enough about how nice it was to stay. We really enjoyed ourselves.

This property is just like the description says and pictures show. The place is updated throughout and everything matches down to the towels provided and dishes. We enjoyed having the full size door screens open all night to listen to the waves to go to sleep to, but was also able to cool off the place when it was hot with the air conditioning during the day.
The views of the sunsets were amazing and even saw one of the first whales of the season riight from the balcony. It was absolutely a great place to stay. I highly recommend it and Holy was great host to work with getting the arrangements through the VRBO app. She was very prompt at answering my questions. Thanks for the great memories we got to have from Hawaii.
