We loved the location of the condo. It was clean and kitchen has everything you need. The main bedroom is large and well lit, the ocean is right outside and the lanai is perfect to watch the surfers!The other bedroom is on the street and am told by our friends that slept there it is a little loud with traffic noise. Other than that, I highly recommend the stay. the booking and check in was simple and the price is comparable to other properties in the same location. Aloha!

We had to delay our honeymoon due to Covid and so this is our honeymoon - retirement trip. Loved the deck and listening to the waves crashing. Condo was clean and had everything we needed. Wish we were a little closer to town or food, but easy access to town and main road. Love the condo.

We stayed for six nights and loved our time on the Big Island. The property is exactly as listed. The view and sound of the surf are amazing. Not only was the property exactly as pictured, it was well stocked with quality supplies. The sheets and bed were very comfortable. Perfect set up for two couples!

This place has an amazing, well furnished balcony that was the highlight of our stay. Gorgeous view over the ocean, with palm trees and beautiful sunsets.The home itself is very nice, well cared for and very clean. It is managed by a company, Vacasa, not by an owner. Vacasa was very helpful and did a good job of making the home clean and enjoyable. But we missed the little things that you get with an owner managed location like area recommendations, kitchen staples like oil and seasonings. This was more like a long-stay hotel. Plenty of pans, blankets, towels, etc, just no personal touches.Overall it was a great stay, it is just our preference to have something more individualized and personal which is why we like using home rental sites.

When I walked into this unit, it was lovely. The place was clean and had no bugs. The next day a family with a small child moved in above me. I could hear the child running back and forth in their unit, moving the furniture around and hollering. I contacted CB regarding this situation and was told to let the property manager know. Over the course of my entire stay (9 days), I was in contact with CB and the property manager regarding this family. The child would wake me every morning around 5am by their excessively loud noises (running, dragging furniture around, hollering, slamming doors)! I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep until after that child did; which was usually after 11pm.The final decision that CB gave me was that I could move into another unit on my second to last day. I would have to pay for any difference in the cost though. Other issues: *dirty dishes*no grill utensils *no propane *verticle blinds brokenI love visiting the Big Island and really wanted to leave a good review; but, with their lack of interest in Kona Bali Kai Condominium rules and concern for my well being, I feel I could not. The condo rules were Quite Hours 10pm-8am on weekdays and 11pm-8am on weekends.

The view from this condo is beautiful. We enjoyed the lanai everyday. The table on the lanai was perfect for our family meals and we enjoyed the lounge chairs for reading and visiting while watching the surf. We cooked every day. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pans and dishes. The condo layout is efficient and comfortable. The condo location is also extremely convenient and it was helpful to have a parking space included with the condo. Our host was very available and assisted very quickly with the couple of items we needed assistance with. It is an understatement that our host was outstanding! If we return to this area, we will seek out this same condo. It was perfect for our vacation!.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property as a place to stay. All instructions were clearly emailed out so we had no reason to contact the owner. The place was clean and comfortable. It had all sorts of extras like snorkel gear, boogie boards and beach chairs that made it so easy to pack up for a beach day. The kitchen was well equipped. The lanai view and sound of the ocean waves was one of my favorite places and i will remember it fondly.Thank you for such a wonderful home, I really hope to be back!

The photos of this property look just like the real thing. The balcony literally sits above the beach so when you are sitting down, you only see the surf. When you stand up and look straight diwn, there is a sandy beach to lay on if you want to. The only issue we had was that the silverware drawer sticks and if you pull it out too far, it will come all the way out. A very minor problem. The place is wonderful and we would stay there again if we return to Kona.

Beautiful condo. Building is dated. The confirmation stated the manager would check in with us the day of arrival. I had no contact but wasn't too worried as our flight arrived after 10pm and we arrived at the condo close to midnight. Keep in mind that midnight is 5am where I started the day so I had been awake about 22 hours except for about an hour nap on the plane. Got inside, dropped our bags, and oohed and ahhed at the view. This was the 50th state for my 88 year old mother and me so this was a special trip. I went to turn down her bed and thought it strange that the covers were askew on the made bed. Noticed other weird things like a dirty glass in the sink and no parking pass. It looked like the cleaner was called away before they completed their cleaning. Everything looked good, beds were made, towels folded on towel racks, so off to bed for us. It hasn't until a couple days later the manager let me know she had missed our reservation on her calendar and the apartment hadn't been cleaned!! Seems the owners were there immediately prior to our stay and they must have tidied up before they left. But that means sleeping on dirty sheets and dirty bath goods on the rack. Other concerns are that the pool is directly below the front door and pool noise can be loud in the front bedroom. There were many maintence projects going on while we were there including shutting down the elevator for a few hours, shutting off the water the morning we left, plus other annoying noises.

We were three adults and a 5-year-old and stayed in this unit for six nights. It was clean, well-equipped and perfect for the little one. She really enjoyed the pool, the small beach and the little tide pools. But you must be VERY careful! The waves and tide can come up. And you definitely want rubber soled beach shoes to walk on the rocks. Also, I don’t believe the TV has cable or satellite (or I couldn’t get it going) but it is a smart TV so your subscriptions will work. I asked the property manager about that by text but got no reply. Not a huge problem though. I also used an HDMI connection to stream my satellite service from home to watch on the big screen. You might want to do the same.

We had an outstanding 7 day stay at Kathy and Bruce's condo. The description of ocean front is on point! The oceans' roar was amazing. We loved the lanai, and the ocean front master bedroom ocean front was perfect. We never turned on the TV as the ocean and the surrounding area was entertainment enough! Althought we only used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and cocktails, we noted that it contained everything that was needed to prepare dinners. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again the next time I visit Kona... Thank you!

This spacious patio was my go-to spot for morning coffee, soaking in Pacific views, or unwinding to the ocean’s soothing rhythm. It’s an unbeatable front-row seat to Kona’s coastal beauty.The condo’s screen doors allow one to enjoy the crash of the surf all night adding charm to the stay. While the interior feels slightly dated and could benefit from a modern refresh, it’s clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The full kitchen, cable TV, and ceiling fans met all our needs, and the king-size bed ensured restful nights. The open layout maximizes ocean views, blending indoor comfort with the stunning surroundings.Access to shared amenities—heated pool, hot tub, and BBQ area—elevated the experience. Nearby beaches, shopping, and dining in Kailua-Kona were easily accessible, yet the lanai’s serenity kept us anchored. The vibrant sunsets and starry nights left us refreshed.The oceanfront lanai and relaxed vibe made this a memorable retreat. We left recharged and eager to return.

Minor maintenance issues, but owner was aware and said they would be addressed. The decor, however, was tired and needs a refresh….sofa and chair in LR worn and uncomfortable. Not as was depicted in the ad. SO, I would stay again, but only IF I had assurances as to the decor which can make such a difference in overall experience.

We had a fabulous family spring break vacation staying here. Close to great beaches and loved the tide pools right there. Mike was amazing, very responsive and very helpful. The condo had all the amenities and equipment for the beach, chairs, cooler, umbrellas and snorkeling equipment. Would absolutely stay there again!

Great property if you are looking to explore and not just spend time in the room or pool. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with appropriate utensils. TV with lots of internet options. Lanai, small and faces street, which is busy during the day but quiet at night. Just chairs and side table, but we ate meals out there. Peak a boo view of the ocean. Beach property across the street great for evening cocktail and watching sunset. Parking convenient. Second floor, no elevator. Communication with Vacasa desk across the street, great!! Not so much luck with sending message through Verbo app. Unhelpful!! Don’t waste your time. Only 2 miles from Kailua Bay and 1 mile from Magic Sands, so great, if you like to walk, or take free shuttle which runs hourly up and down Ali’i Drive. Overall, pleased with our selection. I would recommend.

Couldn't check in timely because it hadn't been cleaned yet; but, they worked hard to get it done. Immediately ran the dishwasher to clean dishes for our use - it backed up in sink. Ran disposal to help it go down, but a ton of food came up instead - DISGUSTING! No hot water because it's a tiny, hidden water heater under the sink! Two bathrooms for nothing-only one can shower at a time and you need to let water heat up in between. No help with sink until next day, so we had to go out to eat, even though we had groceries for dinner. Had to call again next day to get it unclogged. Maintenance saw faucet broken; came in next day while we weren't in unit to fix. No a/c so it gets really hot with the Kona heat. Wooden building so front bedroom hard to sleep with people walking/running right outside window. Noise from street at all hours of the night (not unit's fault) also makes it hard to sleep. Master bedroom is closed by sliding doors, so privacy is an issue if not staying with only family. BBQ's aren't maintained either. Only reason we chose this location is the ability to park two cars, although parking lot is a mess, it did it's job. We left the unit three days early as we had had enough. The "host" or "property manager" is not in Hawaii, so it's an absolute pain to deal with problems. No supplies at all so you have to provide everything yourself. This is like a hotel that doesn't provide hotel amenities (i.e., 24/7 assistance when problems arise.)

this was truly the perfect place for my son and i during his spring break. right over the ocean, hearing the waves (if you want to -- you can close the very effective sliding glass doors), amazing sunsets, super well located (right next to poke shack!!!), and a good value. mike, the property manager, was super helpful and kind throughout. really loved it and can't wait to stay here again!

The view was amazing but the property is in pretty rough shape…needs updated and pictures online do not depict the old peeling paint and rough interior of the property. Kitchen cabinets smell awful, which left the dishes smelling awful…we had to wash everything before using. Bathrooms had old peeling grout and towel fixtures are corroded/rusted.

We’ve stayed in this building previously, but this condo on the top floor with 3 bedrooms gave us a bit more extra space. Beds and other furniture were all very comfortable. This location can’t be beat! We love watching the surfers from the lanai and this end unit was closest to the small sandy beach area.
