We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the washing machine smelled terrible. Is smelled soured and made the bathroom smell like urine. The master sliding door was very difficult to open and close. So glad for the chairs, umbrellas and snorkel gear. Can’t wait to come back.

This was a great apartment close to magic sands beach. There was plenty of space to accommodate my family of 3. All the appliances worked well in the unit and we appreciated the in-unit laundry. They even had some detergent pods for our use! The grill area in the middle of the complex was well appointed and made it easy to cook our own food (daughter is Celiac). The balcony was very comfortable, and included ceiling fans. It is far enough away from the sometimes busy road to be quiet. The only minor awkward thing was parking. The driveway entry was hard to see, hilly, and the parking spot was along the side making it impossible for passengers to get in/out due to the adjacent foliage. Overall, this was a great apartment that worked great for us on our trip!

If you want a place that is clean, comfortable, and fully stocked, this is the place for you. Travel to a beach, they have you covered. Travel to the other side of the island, there are many books about all the places to go. Comfortable beds, great location (right across the street from Magic Sands Beach) and loaded with all you need for a great vacation.

The VRBO was clean, and tidy. It was sprayed for bugs when we were there, which was appreciated, communication with the host was via text, which caused some delays. The master bed messed up my neck the first few nights so we switched beds - might be time for a new mattress instead of topper. Overall the stay was great!

Beautiful condo. It was very clean and comfortable. We used the sofa bed which was actually quite comfortable for a sofa bed, however, there weren't any sheets for it. We asked the management company about it and were told they were in a closet. We never found them. Large fridge made it easy to stock food for our stay since we cooked a lot. The lanai was amazing. We ate breakfast out there every morning. We enjoyed the location, however the beach across the street wasn't really much of a beach. There was some sand but it turned into all Lava rock before you hit the water. Water was quite rough there as well. We had a few unexpected hiccups. The living room tv was not there when we arrived. It was tucked in the 2nd bedroom closet and was shattered. The management company said they were aware and someone was bringing a replacement by the next day. No one ever did. We also had a huge ant problem! They traveled from the lanai doors to the kitchen. They were a big problem in the kitchen. We couldn't leave anything on the counters but at least the fridge was big enough we could fit everything in it. When we reached out to the management company about it they said "welcome to Hawaii, it comes with the area and that it was disclosed in the contract". I'm from the desert so I understand some bugs but I felt this was a lot more than just "the area" and could have been a lot better! We did put down some bug repellent but it didn't really help. Overall 8.5/10

The location was fantastic. The beach across the street has the most amazing, majestic waves. That means it’s not really swimmable (at least when we were there), but it’s a boogie boarding hot spot and the locals put on quite the impressive show.The house was so well provisioned. It had everything we could have possibly wanted. So grateful to the hosts for all the attention to detail.

Space was great, magic sands beach across the street is gorgeous but with BIG waves. Better to watch experienced boarders. This was a central great place. There was a full kitchen of pans, bowls knives etc so you don’t have to eat out every meal.

The beach access could not be better & the courtyard grounds & pool were beautiful. The outdoor kitchen/bbq grill area was nice too. The unit was very comfortable & had everything we needed. Thoughtful touches like beach towels, chairs, etc. made it very easy to enjoy from the second we arrived. We would love to come back here & stay again. Highly recommend for a stay in Kona! It was only about a 10-15 min drive to downtown depending on day/time.

The place had not been cleaned after the previous guest. There were used towels in the bathroom, the bed was not made. Host was very rude and inconsiderate. He sent the cleaner in the evening. We could not use the place till after 7 pm. Host did not provide any refund or discounts for the inconvenience. Location does not feel very safe. Condo is spacious and has the essentials. Just the cleaning and communication with the host was very dissatisfactory.

This was an excellent location for our family of five with three teenagers. The waves at Magic Sands got pretty wild, but we heard that was mostly to do with the impending storm. It was a great location. Super close to a great snorkeling location and wave jumping was a blast. Super cute restaurant close for incredible eats and even better views. Condo was well stocked and they were super accommodating when the storm hit and we needed to extend our stay and have someone help us out after the extended power outage.

The condo was well equipped with a washer and dryer, a nice lanai, necessary beach supplies; chairs, cooler, towels, etc. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and pickleball courts at the facility. We enjoyed a great snorkel beach apx. 1 1/2 miles south. Enjoyed an ATV ride with aloha adventures close by. We also enjoyed shaka tacos a little to the north in a nice shopping area. The owners were very pleasant and responsive.

You are literally right across from Magic Sands beach. The pool was lovely and clean. The cooking area with multiple grills was user friendly and clean.

Had a great stay. The rooms are exactly as described and perfect for our needs. It was clean and quiet (except for the chatty birds). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need: dishes, pots and pans, I even found a pizza cutter. Nice clean bathrooms and comfy bedrooms with clean linens and soaps.The patio is stocked with everything you need for a great beach day. There are boogie boards, snorkels and fins, noodles, umbrellas, chairs, even towels and a cooler.The unit is a little ways back from the road, which means a few extra steps to the beach, but it's hardly a hassle. The pool area is large and inviting with barbecues, plenty of chairs and tables and there is even a pool table and sauna.Only steps away is Magic Sands beach, which is great for seeing fish and turtles. But beware, I do not recommend trying to boogie board or body surf. The rocks are no joke. Just a mile south is a great beach park for snorkeling, surfing or boogie boarding. Grab a meal at the Magic Sand Grill right there or a lighter bite from their beach window.The only thing I might add is cable or an antenna, only to watch the local weather forecast, but everyday was paradise. Expect the same. You can't go wrong and I would definitely book this unit again.

We had a great overall stay at this condo in Kona and would definitely consider returning.Pros: The location is fantastic—just a quick 2-minute walk to the beach, which made it incredibly easy to enjoy the ocean whenever we wanted. The condo itself is very spacious and worked well for our family of four, with plenty of room to spread out. We especially loved the generous lanai space and the abundance of large windows in the living area that brought in lots of natural light. It was also a bonus to have boogie boards and beach chairs available for use. Being so close to the pool was another convenient perk.Cons: While the condo was comfortable, it did feel a bit “tired” in places. A fresh coat of paint and some updated decor could really elevate the space. The bedrooms could also benefit from blackout blinds for better sleep. Trimming back the palm trees would help improve the view—even a small peek of the ocean would make a difference. Lastly, the living room seating wasn’t quite adequate or comfortable enough for our family to fully relax together in the evenings.Overall, this is a well-located, family-friendly condo with great potential—it just needs a few updates to make it truly exceptional.

Nice, quiet, spacious unit right across the street from Magic Sands Beach. Couple miles from Kailua Kona town center area. Nice wraparound porch. Nicely stocked with equipment for boogie boarding, beach days, tennis and Pickleball, and snorkeling. Comfortable beds and good water pressure in showers. Appreciated the Air Conditioning. The unit shows some wear and tear but it was a great home base for our family of four.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the condo. White Sands Beach is directly across the beach, making daily jaunts to the beach easy. The condo came stocked with loads of beach needs such as snorkeling gear and chairs. The air condition could not be turned down, but after a day, we acclimated well. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the dining area was great!

The unit was fantastic! Very clean and the upgrades and finishes were really nice. Especially the beautiful solid wood doors. This is one of those rare units where you don’t have to worry about coffee filters, salt/pepper, or even soap and shampoo. Very well and thoughtfully stocked. Even a couple of boogie boards and snorkeling sets were available for use. All of that, plus the location and view are great. Highly recommended.

Location was great! Loved the wraparound lanai. The kids liked sleeping on the futon outside. The twin beds were a little uncomfortable for the people sleeping there (too soft). We appreciated the fun closet with beach toys. Check in was a little confusing because we weren't sure how to get to the office at first, but overall it was a fantastic place in a fantastic location. We loved it and would stay there again.
