This is a very comfortable unit with plenty of room for 4 people. The unit is a little worn in places and the linens are a little skimpy. The beds are a little firm if that is an issue for you. The owner is very pleasant and responsive.

This rental was perfect for our family of four. 3rd floor unit offers excellent views of both the pool area and beach/ocean. Spacious, well laid out and well-appointed with everything you need from making meals to going to the beach. Joanne went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. Good showers and beds. 4 miles south of Kona and easy access to highway bypassing Kona for those days you go off exploring. If you're an early riser, there are dedicated walking/ biking lanes on both sides of Ali'i drive with plenty of other beaches and shoreline accesses within walking distance to discover. Definitely recommend!

Our criteria for a family of 4 includes:Space: it had two bedrooms, one of the bedrooms has two separate beds for the 2 kids. The living room also has a pullout - not sure they mention that in the description. Proximity to beach: very close to magic sands , although the beach had no sand due to high surf in winter. In summer or other months it likely does. We couldn’t go into the water at all due to how tight it was in Dec- early jan. Laundry: unit had one, not sure why they don’t provide laundry detergent/ it is a small thing - and a huge miss in my opinion. Place is really close to Keahou shopping center - which has nice restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed golfing at Kona club and visiting coffee plantations, especially Heavenly. Small standalone ac units in each room in addition to central one. Generally, the bathrooms are dated and hit water was an issue/ it was generally warm and the bathroom shower operation isn’t good. There are some beach items available / we found the beach umbrella and beach mats useful. Would be great to add a couple beach chairs. We did not use pool or common areas, but saw people using them/ including gas grills by the pool.

Our family of six stayed for 5 nights here. The location was perfect - quick access to down town Kona, directly across from Magic Sands Beach, 15 minutes from Walmart and about an hour from the North Kona coast. The lanai was our favorite part of the condo - the view of the ocean was beautiful and we spent most of our time in the condo on the lanai. The Condo was as advertised, we also took advantage to enjoy the pool, BBQ gills, and hot tub on the property. It was just the right size for our family of 4. We were very happy with the directions and instructions sent by the owners. Having the trolly/bus was a big advantage as it costs to park everywhere. A great location with several of the bays/public beaches withing a short walk or quick drive.

This is the second time we stayed in this unit and we love this spot. The furnishings are a bit dated and the primary bedroom tv was sub-par, but with the view, location and other amenities at the condo complex, we easily overlooked those items. Management company was amazing and very responsive to all of our emails and questions.

The owners have taken great care of this property which made for an amazing family experience on the Big Island. There were lots of pluses to the unit. Nice being right by the elevator and close to pool entrance. The shades on the lanai were great as the sun this time of year shines right in. Everything was neat and clean except prior guests left dishes and silverware not quite clean so we washed them by hand to get the residue off. It was wonderful having a regular coffee maker as well as Keurig as we don't use the pods. Beds were very comfy and we love the location and have stayed at the complex before. We will definitely be going back again.

Excellent location/views; easy check in with a parking spot available. I loved hearing the birds in the morning. Magic Sand Beach just across the street with brilliant sunsets.

In all ways an excellent two bedroom condo for the island experience! Just steps away from a beautiful beach, great food and situated to explore the amazing island and its 11 Eco systems. Rent a jeep and have an amazing vacation. We will be back and rent this very well apportioned condo. I'm 73 with a lower back issues requiring fusion surgery in a few months, and my daughter and I have travelled twice before to the big island for two weeks each time. This is my 7th 2 week trip to the BI, and by far the best. Easy access to Magic Sands, very good beds, Lanai on the shady side of the building, decent water pressure, dishwasher, side by side fridge, and two bathrooms gave us more comfort than we needed. The parking spot is a few steps away from the ramp to the elevator, and the room is only 2 doors from the elevator, so everything is easy on the old body. We hit all of our favorite beaches, the weather was great, and the surf low. We befriended the geckos on the lanai during the day, and could listen to the ocean at night when the local traffic is light. I couldn't hike on this trip, but we managed to do a big day in Hilo. Local black beaches were the best snorkeling and vibe, but we got the last of the 40 public parking spots on Mauna Kea on our second last day. Communication with the host was helpful and fast, and it was the best money I have spent on the island. I hope to be lucky enough to get back to this exact unit at least one more time.

Perfect condo in a perfect location. Loved listening to the sound of the ocean first thing in the morning and as you fall asleep. We loved being able to just walk across the street to the beach. The condo clean. Beds were comfortable. The barbecue area by the pool was so nice as was the pool and hot tub. I highly recommend this place. The condo is very clean and quiet. There are a few things that need to be addressed by owner/property manager. I sent my concerns to them first as I believe they should know ahead of others. These are MY concerns:
There are only 2 washcloths and towels per bathroom- needs more.
AC only goes to 74.
Mismatched coffee mugs - all novelty mugs = cheap.
No ironing board.
Towel bar fell off wall twice.
Refrigerator smelled bad. We had to buy baking soda to combat smell.
Good location To magic sands beach. A few miles to town.

It is 24 stairs to get to the first floor and the elevator wasn't working to the first floor!
However, we loved the being right across the street from the beach. It was fun to watch the kids boogie board and play. The sunsets from the wraparound balcony were the best. The condo was large, clean, and super well appointed.
There is everything you need including: beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and even sunscreen and insect repellant!
It was lovely having a washer and dryer! We got soaked on our rainforest ATV ride and the day we went to the volcano. This amenity allowed us to take care of our dirty, wet clothing and the big bonus was were able to bring only our carry-on luggage because the unit was so well equipped. They provide all the paper products you need and all the laundry and kitchen soaps.
Being on the Main Street you have
a lot of noise starting about 6:00am with the kids on the beach, the buses running, and the pickup trucks with boom boxes cruising past. This is the Main Street kid cruise! That is the trade off for the stellar location. We loved being so close to everything.
The rental agreement they send you after you book is a little daunting! They just want you to take care of their property which is understandable. Be aware the property is well-loved and isn't new; but you'll love staying here.
We appreciated the quick management response.
This unit's driveway is directly across from the Magic Sands sign.

Where do I start. Great location, comfortable beds. Very well stocked and I'm not kidding. There was some salad dressing. Mayo, mustard a couple of beers. Lots of stuff that we would have had to buy. The best beach in Kona is right across the street. This condo is a must stay.

This place does NOT have A/C, only fans. Even with windows open and fans working, it gets VERY HOT during the day and stays hot until late evening. The on-line description does not mention this, so it came as a surprise.
