The unit's interior was as-listed, well-equipped, and in good condition. The grounds, including the swimming pool, sauna, and bbq gazebo, were in good condition and as-listed.
However, the property was incorrectly advertised as having 2 on-site tennis courts. The tennis courts had in fact been demolished many months ago and their re-construction had been stopped for some project delays. We discovered this after booking.
The property was relatively quiet during the day and the other guests honored the after-hours quiet time very well.
Property is immediately across the street to Magic Sands Beach, which is convenient if that's your thing, but brings extra vehicular traffic along Alii Drive - not the place for a quiet stroll. Otherwise, location is convenient to many spots up and down Alii Drive. You can't really see the beach from the lanai, but that's consistent with the advertised listing.
Parking stalls are tight for larger cars.
Property management staff was responsive when we called them.
Unit is stocked with some basic beach items (umbrella, chairs, etc), which was nice.
Overall, the property was a good value and we enjoyed our stay there.

The location is great. The condo has major issues. It appears there has been a leak from the upper unit by the front door causing the popcorn ceiling to bubble in multiple places. The leak continues into the bathroom where the drywall is cracked and looks to be painted over. I reported this to the management. Only one side of the screen door functions properly. One burner on the stove doesn't work. And be aware, the dishes in the cabinets were left dirty for us. Whoever used them last does not know how to do dishes and nobody double checks for cleanliness. Also, only 2 rolls of toilet paper provided for 9 nights of renting. I was told to go buy our own, but upon asking again, they did bring 2 more rolls after a second request the next day. The shower drained extremely slowly so you are standing in water. And cobwebs on the ceiling. I would not recommend this unit.

A scrupulously clean condo directly across the street from one of the rare sand beaches in the area. On Kona's "main drag" (Ali'i Drive), but not right in the middle of the touristy chaos. Lovely lanai accessible from both the living room and the main bedroom, with a glorious view of beach sunsets. Closet full of anything one would want for a beach or pool day: floats, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, coolers. So nice to not have to pack those items!
The owners were extremely kind and lovely to work with, as well as gracious about accommodating my partner's need for some extra checkout time (he had become ill during our trip). I recommend this location unequivocally!

This was our family’s second trip to Kona, and we had a lovely time. The property was entirely as described. The kitchen was well equipped for all manner of meal prep - ncluding a very capable ice crushing blender for daiquiris. :). The beds and furniture were all fine and the appliances all functioned as expected- including very fast Wi-Fi.This location was much further south than we were last time which meant that a car was essential for getting into town. However it also meant trivial access to some of the very best snorkeling on the island. As divers we somewhat missed the beautiful lanai wall ladder we’d been fortunate enough to have last time but we were able to easily make the lanai rail work well to hold wetsuit hangers on the lanai side and dry our various neoprene without hanging anything over the rail. The location is also great for hopping quickly up to RT 11 to get into town instead of the slow way up Alii Dr.
With white sand beach across the street and the two condo buildings facing each other it can get a bit loud during the day (especially on the weekend) so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you’re looking for a more tranquil/quiet place. But it never prevented a post-dive nap in the bedrooms with the doors closed. And hearing the little kids playing on the beach and in the pool brought nostalgic smiles to our now teenager-having selves. :)
We had no issues at all which required any intervention from the owner, and overall simply had a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay at this property. This is right in front of the Magic Sand Beach. The communication with the property management was very swift. Blake always responded to all my questions and requests very quickly. We didn't have any issues here. Its a quick 10 mins drive to happening downtown kona. And little over an hour drive away from most of the attractions either on the kohala side or the south side of the island. It would have been better of the living room was a little more roomier.
This property has a parking spot right is right next to the elevator and even the rental itself is right in front of the elevator and that made it very easy move our luggage in and out.
There is plenty of beach equipment available here we used 4 beach chairs, 1 lounge chair, 3 bodysurf boards, two beach mats, 2 umbrellas, 1 cooler, and a couple floating devices. (There are more stuff if needed).
The pool area and the BBQ area is spacious, it good that the white sands beach managment takes care of cleaning this area frequently. Restroom near the pool are very clean.
TV is little small and picture is not that clear as most recent led TVs, however, since we were exploring outside most of the time and only spent very less time watching TV that wasn't an issue for us.
Plenty of extra linens and pillows, sheets and comforters.
I would love to stay at this property agin on my next visit.

The convenient location to the elevator and parking spot was incredibly helpful for our group. The beds and other pieces of furniture were very comfortable. The lanai was our favorite spot and was used a lot for early morning breakfast and provided the perfect view for nightly sunset photos! So glad we sprung for this property with a huge, wraparound balcony, facing the ocean on one side! There was a large dining table out on the balcony so we could eat all of our meals while enjoying the sound and view of the ocean. We spent hours out there. The pool at this property was also lovely. The beach is a short 3-5 minute walk across the street. Be advised that in the winter the beach practically disappears. There was very little sand to sit on. But I think that is not the case in the summer.

It was clean, well supplied and comfortable. Updated towels, and a smart TV would be our only suggestion. It’s up three floors which is fine for active families. Parking is right next to stairs. Very convenient. Quiet neighbors except the temporary construction for a lovely updated beach park. It did not bother us but it elevates the noise level with the bust street. We were rarely home so it was fine.

The unit itself could use some updating and minor attention to detail would go a long way here. The bed is uncomfortable, the AC ducts need to be cleaned; allergy sensitive people like me beware, toilet in hall runs every 5 min, clock on Wall is broken, decor is very minimal, pillow cases and bedding in general and drapes are dingy, the sliding doors are really hard to open, no wine opener in unit, no tea kettle, which we needed both, total basics only. It wouldn’t take that much money to make this unit outstanding. But the lanai and view were wonderful for us and we had our friends over several nights and watched all the action at the beach below. Walking to the beach to take a dip was a high point for me. I ran down Alii drive in the morning one day we were here and biked on a rented bike the next. Overall a good experience just wish they’d put some more money into the unit. I manage vacation rentals where I live so maybe I’m pickier than most. But a little more attention to detail would go along way.

Huge patio was great for enjoying the gorgeous Kailua-Kona weather ( best weather we’ve had on Big Island) and view. The condo was exactly as shown. It is a little outdated but it is large, roomy, airy and the view was just gorgeous whether watching a quiet beach in the morning or watch a fabulous sunset every evening. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom set up guaranteed privacy. Parking was great with a large dedicated space and the condo had all the beach equipment you would want. The complex was quiet and private. Because the condo is at the front end, nobody walks by and we never heard other vacationers.
The location was good as it is right across the street from one of the few nice public beaches in the area. There are also two restaurants right across the street to satisfy formal or informal dining. Downtown shopping area is only 2-3 miles away.
The only downside to the location is that it is right above a rather busy and noisy road. If traffic noise and crowd noise bother you, you might want to think about it. When the sliding doors were closed, noise was minimal and it doesn’t start until 10am and is done shortly after dark. We enjoyed the beach noise and people watch from the balcony so this noise did not bother us. We were often gone during the day as well.
We would rent again and felt it suited our needs perfectly.

White sands condo 201 did not disappoint. The view from the lanai was our favorite spot both morning and evening. Condo was well equipped with everything you needed including beach towels, chairs, cooler, umbrella and other beach items.
All the basics to get started of dish soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, laundry pods and toilet paper and hand soap were available. There was a hair dryer but it was not listed.
Extras for an extended stay were easy to get at the nearby grocery store. We would definitely stay here again. Lots of sunscreen and other kitchen items like tin foil left from other guests…just like we left for the text group. Only thing we found missing was no baking sheet but had plenty of pans and baking dishes to make it work.

Beautiful well kept, clean condo with an amazing view of the beach from the entire lanai -- a wonderful place for meals and just relaxing to the sound of the waves. If it's a little too warm out, you can still hear the waves from the living room in the lovely AC. Beach chairs, kick boards, snorkel masks, and an umbrella are provided for use as well as all the supplies needed to clean up on the way out. The only minor draw back (and I do mean minor) is it is a very popular beach so it can get pretty loud during the day and some nights. This wasn't a problem for us but for someone looking for complete peace and quiet that may be a deal breaker. Otherwise it was the most incredible place I've ever stayed and I would absolutely stay here again in the future!!

The balcony is fantastic. We chose to pick up poke and eat outside because the view was so great. It is a large balcony with multiple seating and a great view of Magic Sands Beach. You can walk across the street to the beach to watch sunset and to eat at Magic Sands Grill.
The condo has everything you need including beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. It is very nice to have two bathrooms for two couples. The beds are comfortable and there is air conditioning!
I left a souvenir there when we checked out and the housekeeper offered to mail it to me. So kind and thoughtful although it was my mistake.

The property is in an awesome location but it could be so much better. Linens and towels were so old, stained, and dated. The draws and cupboards and closets need cleaned out. The showers still had hair from previous guest and were in need of some deep cleaning. Replace your masking tape notes with labels and you'll really class up the place for your guests. It definitely has potential. Location couldn't of been better and parking was convenient as well. Great lanai, we made friends with a gecko who loved scrambled eggs.

Perfect location- across from a beautiful beach. Condo has everything you need. Beautiful wrap around patio is great. Fully stocked kitchen was so nice! The pool, hot tub and pool table were enjoyed by my kids daily! Was a wonderful 10 days in Hawai’i! Would definitely come back to this location!

Communication was quick & clear with the property manager - arrival (check-in) was a breeze and we arrived to an immaculately clean condo.
Amenities were as noted and included all necessary linens, towels and beach items
Magic Sands beach is directly across the road and there’s a bus stop for a free trolly into town nearby - it’s a wonderful location

The property is in an awesome location but it could be so much better. Linens and towels were so old, stained, and dated. The draws and cupboards and closets need cleaned out. The showers still had hair from previous guest and were in need of some deep cleaning. Replace your masking tape notes with labels and you'll really class up the place for your guests. It definitely has potential. Location couldn't of been better and parking was convenient as well. Great lanai, we made friends with a gecko who loved scrambled eggs.

The location of this property is superb. The shower head in the small bathroom barely yielded a trickle of water. This wasn't an issue for us since there was just the two of us. This would have been an issue with a family.

The balcony is fantastic. We chose to pick up poke and eat outside because the view was so great. It is a large balcony with multiple seating and a great view of Magic Sands Beach. You can walk across the street to the beach to watch sunset and to eat at Magic Sands Grill.
The condo has everything you need including beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. It is very nice to have two bathrooms for two couples. The beds are comfortable and there is air conditioning!
I left a souvenir there when we checked out and the housekeeper offered to mail it to me. So kind and thoughtful although it was my mistake.

Wonderful place to stay! So clean and fully stocked. Has all the things you need for the beach. The condo is wonderful as are the grounds of the complex. Nice pool and spa, BBQ area, and pool table, etc. Would absolutely stay here again!

The property is well maintained. The condo is exactly as described. It is nice to hear the birds and you can see gorgeous sunsets from the Lanai. The owners are very responsive as well as the managers for the condo. It is very comfortable for a couple and a family. It is a well stocked kitchen. If you want peace and quiet, this is the spot. We definitely will come back.

Great place, very clean and comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Had some drain issues in main bath but husband was able to fix.
I wish it was a little closer to the beach and had a little better ocean view, but overall felt like a good value. Could use a few more beach towels.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable. The lanai was fabulous and we spent much of our condo time taking in the sights and sounds from there. This unit has an elevator but will still require a half flight of stairs to access.

This is a comfortable condo, thoughtfully stocked with your holiday getaway needs. Location is excellent! Right across the street from a fantastic swimming beach. There is a trolley that comes once an hour that happened to be free while we were there. Incredibly convenient for getting into town. (You should definitely advertise this more). The only reason this was not rated five stars is the lack of communication or response from the property management company. Grand. We had a few issues upon arrival and called the number as directed. Spoke to someone who said they would look into it and get right back to us and they never did. Reached out again and we were told we would get a response ASAP. Never received a response entire trip.

We loved staying at this property! It had all the amenities with a beautiful view and perfect location. After a fun day exploring kona we were able to relax at the hot tub, pool and sauna. A perfect ending to our first day in Hawaii! Would definitely stay again😊

We are a retired couple and stayed two weeks at this apartment and loved it here. The location is superb right across from white sands beach. Only a few minutes away is a bay that is great for snorkeling. The apartment complex also has a nice sized pool. The apartment has plenty of space and is well appointed. The host has suggested many places to visit or tour. The days can be long when you take a day tour on this island but then back at the apartment to chill was great. We can highly recommend this place with a caring host.

The condo is exactly what you need for a Kona getaway. It is well located, the lanai provides a lovely view of the ocean, it is clean and well equipped. We appreciated the comfortable surroundings and would definitely consider staying again. The description of the facility is accurate, with one exception. There are no tennis courts. They have been removed.

The host accommodated a last minute schedule change. The condo has a well supplied kitchen that allowed us to cook everything we wanted. It also has all the beach supplies that you can’t bring with you on the plane. The location and views are excellent. We highly recommend this property!!

Pros: Apartment is nice, very cool wrap-around balcony, furniture is nice, massive TV in the living room, bed is comfortable, place was clean. The staff were accommodating when I needed to change the dates of our stay.Cons: The elevator is inconveniently located - you have to walk 50-100 yards and then still go down 5 or 6 steps when you get to the 3rd floor, so might as well just take the stairs, which is kind of annoying when you have your luggage. There is a horrible ant problem, so don't accidentally leave ANYTHING out. They literally went for the smallest crumbs left on the counter. The cleaning crew was there at 10:55 am on check-out day, so we felt very much rushed out the door, which I did not like because I fear of forgetting something. And i just generally don't like this, I am on vacation. Please don't be knocking on the door before check-out time. Also, while I appreciate the staff being accommodating, what I don't like was they email you a VERY long lease agreement to sign AFTER you book the place, and the booking was non-refundable. So if you disagree with the lease agreement, you're SOL. Some nit-picky things in the lease I didn't approve of, like you have to take the trash out (even though I pay a cleaning fee...). If I don't take the trash out, do I incur an extra fee? I didn't want to take the chance. So not only was I rushed out the door with all my luggage, I also had to take the bag of trash with me.Hopefully some things for management to improve on.
