We really enjoyed the gorgeous views and peaceful place! It was just as the pictures showed! Well stocked kitchen! Beach chairs and snorkeling gear. The pool was beautiful with great views of the ocean. There were grills and picnic tables to use in the courtyard. They were cleaned by staff every morning!

Loved all the food recommendations in the binder, they were spot on, location was great and enjoyed walking into town. Place was super clean, we loved spending time on the lani and enjoyed the beach and snorkel gear. Highly recommend staying here!

This unit was exactly what our family of 4 was looking for! The unit was stocked with everything we needed for our day trips to the beach (chairs, umbrellas, cooler, etc.) and came equipped with a Graco Pack 'N Play, which was great for our little one. The pool and grill area at Sea Village was very convenient and always clean. Jon was incredibly responsive to questions leading up to and during the trip. If we return to the Big Island, I wouldn't hesitate to rebook here.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much! The condo complex was quiet and never felt too crowded. The common areas, grills, and pool were all kept clean and tidy. We were outside of the "busy" area close to central Kona, but not far at all. We saw lots of people walking into town while there or using rental bikes from the station just down the block.
Our unit itself was well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed eating meals and just hanging out on the lanai, which was mostly shaded from the sun thanks to the northern direction, and the unit was stocked with a cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach accessories that made going out for the day easy.
I only had to contact the owner once when I was having difficultly with the lock box upon arrival. I figured out the issue but he immediately called me back, so I can only imagine if I needed anything else he would have been available quickly to assist.
Overall our stay was great and we'd certainly stay there again.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights at this property. It was clean, comfortable and the view out the balcony (er, lanai) of the cove was exceptional. Some fine details - the hosts provide just everything you might need - beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, etc. Definitely one of my better VRBO stays.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Village. Our favorite part was watching the dolphins on our lanai. The location of the lanai affords privacy with a fabulous view. The grills are located near the pool with tables and garden lights. It has a festive and friendly vibe. And finally, unlike many VRBOs, the mattresses were in great shape and the sheets soft. We slept in comfort during our stay.

We had a fabulous vacation here. This was our third time in this exact condo unit and it doesn’t disappoint. Close enough to walk to Kailua and not have to pay the steep parking costs, and far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle and noise of city nightlife. The trip was incredible and the location and condition of the property was fabulous. The hosts were very responsive and provided very useful information about the island. We explored the island every day so did not spend too much time at the property but it was perfectly maintained and had everything you needed. This was a perfect place for us to stay while visiting the Big Island. Beautiful lanai with amazing sunsets, the complex has a great pool and bbq area, is centrally located, and the condo is well stocked with thoughtful beach toys and equipment. Condo was as described, pictures true. Portable air was good! Nothing like central air, but did cool to be comfortable. Way better than none! Loved the view. Master bath a tad small but doable. Loved all the amenities like washer and dryer, hair dryer, coffee pot & salt and pepper. Pool was very nice! Sliding door a little hard to open for me and grandson. Ice maker broken when we were there, might ask so you know whether to pick up ice. They have 2 plastic trays of ice ready though! Would definitely stay again! The sunset was great!!

We stayed in the Oceanfront Sea Village condo # 1207 for four weeks and had a great time. It was our 15th stay in Hawaii, and that was one of the best accommodations we had.
First, I'd like to claim that we DID see gorgeous sunsets from our lanai! (I'm responding to some of the reviews). We also used the lanai as our oceanfront dining room and a bar all the time.
The place is lovely. It's spotless and very well organized.
All the rooms have AC, and they do the work. We didn't have to use it in the master bedroom at all. Instead, we kept the windows open and ran the fan. It was enough to have the bedroom cool at night.
Both bedrooms have privacy, and the beds are very comfortable.
The kitchen has everything you need. We cooked on most days, and it was easy to navigate.
The Sea Village complex is charming and well-maintained. The location is excellent. We walked to Kona when we wanted (15-20 minutes) and had morning hikes along Alii Drive every day.
The host was very easy to contact, and you feel he cares about the guests. We got all the necessary information, without excessive rules and regulations, on time.
I recommend the place to anyone. When we return to the Big Island, we will stay in this condo.

Property was as expected. The beds were nice. Lots of great beach gear (6 chairs, 3 umbrellas, 4 boogie boards, etc). The AC worked well enough, but is very loud. View from the lanai was fabulous. Pool and hot tub were both in great condition. The unit has a full size washer and drier which came in handy in the middle of our 2 week long trip.
John had great communication and provided us with a really good information packet about things to do around the island.
Only issue we had was with the hot water, sometimes we'd shower and have tons of hot water, other times it would never get fully hot. I assume it's a shared supply with other apartments and if too many people were using it at the same time there wasn't enough. Luckily it was never cold.

Very easy rental, lots of information provided by the host but (thankfully) not presented in an overwhelming manner (short checklist of what to do upon arrival and departure -- lockbox, etc.).
Kitchen had ample dishes, cutlery, and cookware, and the beach equipment was all in great shape (chairs, umbrellas, boards, etc.)..
We didn't need much but Jon was very prompt to respond to a text at departure time.
View from the lanai is indeed incredible, pool/whirlpool/BBQ grounds are well kept, and there is ample parking.

Great location, excellent owner communication, amazing condo with spectacular view. I loved that the lanai is on the corner so you have a large open view of both ocean and mountain. The condo was comfortable, AC worked great, wifi too. We cooked most nights and enjoyed the BBQs downstairs. No direct access to ocean without major boulder scramble for many yards, so we didn't go in the water there. Everything was supplied, including bathroom tissues, lots of towels for home and beach, and kitchen and cooking supplies. Jon was so helpful and quick to reply. We had a broken latch on the lanai door and Jon had repair people out same day to replace it. Plenty of storage. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Our best Hawaii rental ever, more updated than most options here. Spacious enough to have easily accommodated another couple too.
Plenty of parking off street, nicely maintained grounds. Many used the pool area but the sounds never intruded on our place. I especially appreciated the lanai and many windows having screens so we could leave them open and hear the ocean waves roll in while indoors. Great stay.

The condo couldn’t have been more perfect. It has beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers for the beach, pool floats and towels. We added a XL snorkeling set to the collection, but there was lots of other sizes for the rest of the family to borrow. Staying on site was a blast because we had the pool, large grass bbq area, and even just sitting inside feels like a dream with a massive ocean scene. We saw dolphins 3x, a pool of jelly fish, and epic sunsets all from the lanai. The poolside sunsets are amazing. Hope to return someday!

We have stayed at Vacation International "The Sea Village Resort" in Kona, several lengthy times in 3 of the buildings. This was my first time in building 1, condo 207 for the month of Feb. 2022. This is a privately owned condo by very attentive owners to the client, regulations of Sea Village and comfort of your stay. The condo has been remodeled with great style and with a majority of very useful changes for the client.. Usually you have to run to the store for food obviously but the owners have kindly stocked bath soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, and fun beach toys for kids and adults. The Lanai was one of my favorite spots as it never had hot sun directly on it. It never got blasing hot and was so comfort to sit and relax on early am to pm. You can still get lots of sun from the water reflection. You have an inlet right off the Lanai that surfers use freq. You have a great view of Kona's night lights. Watch and the whales will blow and dozens of dolphins with jump and flip by your view.. Watch huge curise ships park and ferry passengers to the Kona dock. and see Hang gliders being pulled by boats., You can easily see swimmers swim 1.2 miles and return the same. Visiting at the condos in the evening is at 5:30 - 7:30pm or longer at one set of long tables with others from Canada and across the US. BBQ's are hot and ready for everyone to take turns and cleaned every day. I could not see the sunsets from our Lanai so we came down to the pool area to visit and watch and try to get that elusive green flash of the sunset. Also, many fishing or sailboats plan a trip across the waters at that time. - get that boat in your picture too. The owners are so quick to answer your questions or concerns by email, text or phone call. Parking is on the property, close and easy to use. WiFI is fast and the TV choices are great. Walk to town and back for breakfast!! Besure book a trip to snorkel and watch the manta rays at night- it's easy and fun - relax - it's not scary. I'd love to plan another trip and stay in this condo. !!

This was an amazing spot for our family. We were busy during the days, but our mornings and evenings were very comfortable sitting on the lanai and taking in the beautiful view.
The only thing I would keep in mind is that the pool has a sign for no games for kids. I think it’s common in most condos on the island but since we were traveling during the school year my kids were some of the few. It’s tricky asking kids to play quietly in a pool, but most of our time was at the beach or we did early swim when less people were out. Aside from that we will absolutely consider this location again in the future. I’m already recommending this host to my parents and sister for the next time they go take a trip to Kona. Let's start with the pros:
- Excellent communication with property owner
- Convenient location, you can walk into town in 12-15 minutes tops, plus the views along the way are worth it plus so close to shopping area that has all kinds of cafés restaurants and shops as well as three ABC stores.
- There are plenty of towels, beach towels, everything you could need for the beach including chairs and snorkel of it is the best stocked condo I’ve ever been in.
- There was plenty of parking although it is snug, but it works.
- The landscaping of the property is beautiful and kept up very well.
- Green flash coffee is in the parking lot.
- From the common area you can see some amazing sunsets.
- The pool is nice as is the hot tub.
- The common area is amazing. We didn't use it much but plenty of others did. It has grills and picnic tables that were kept very clean.
- The beds were comfy and there are plenty of blankets and sheets and pillows for extras on the sofa.
- The price was so reasonable that even with the few cons I listed below, we would definitely stay here again.
- And I know I already mentioned it, but the owner is amazing. The communication was top-notch!
A few cons:
- There is no central air conditioning so it relies on window vented air conditioners which actually did the trick for a while, until it didn't. It was so humid as Kona was under some anomaly of wet wet weather. Since the condo faces north, you don't truly get any type of breezes from the ocean.
- Be prepared for I smell as the property is older and as we all know if you’ve traveled to islands or anywhere coastal before, the salt water permeates everything and the damp can leave a musty smell. We actually were okay with this because it reminded us of one our aunt's beach cottage from 20 years ago.
- The water pressure is just OK. In the master bathroom sink it hardly comes out at all but the rest of the house seems to be all right, just not a lot of pressure.
The view is worth it all.
We stayed here with three adults as my son is a teenager and needs his own space, I’m not sure how you would do it with six people unless four of them were kids as it would be very very tight but if it was siblings or something like that you could definitely make that happen.

Clean, well equipped and maintained. Enjoyed sunsets from our lanai. Pool area also has a great view for sunset. Town is close but with the heat, humidity, traffic, lack of sidewalks, drive or use the Kona Trolley. Be prepared to carry your luggage up as the complex does not have an elevator.
Drive around the island. Appreciate the beauty and all Hawai’i island has to offer.

Great condo! We really enjoyed our stay. I love the complex and it's very well maintained. It was hotter than I'm used to in Hawaii (we almost never come in summer) and this is one of the only units in the complex with A/C.
We rent VRBOs fairly often and this condo was very clean and well appointed. While drinking coffee and relaxing on the lanai, we were able to see dolphins, a turtle, sunsets, etc. I highly recommend this condo.

My brother, sister and I rented this unit while visiting our 90 yr old mom who lives in Kona. My brother insists on ocean front when we visit Mom, and this unit certainly is ocean front. I took the sofa bed in the living room to sleep on as it is ocean front and neither bedroom is. My husband and I lived in our ocean front condo in Kona a few years ago and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves again. We all enjoyed coffee and breakfast in the morning and wine and appetizers in the afternoon on the lanai. Our only complaint was that the unit was not quite as clean as it should have been - hairs in the shower, dirty rug in the hall bath, crumbs on the kitchen counter in the corner and I had to use spray cleaner on the inside of the refrigerator when we first arrived. We were given an early check in, so maybe just not enough time to do a thorough cleaning job. The kitchen was well stocked, linens were in good condition, the location is good, the grounds and pool are very nice. Jon was very accommodating and quick with answering questions and concerns and taking care of a couple of minor issues that came up. We would all recommend this unit to anyone going to Kona looking for ocean front at a great price.

Three of my lady friends and I spent two weeks here. We simply loved it. It slept on the sofa in the living room so I could listen to the wave crash---and they did!!!! It was wonderful to step out onto the deck and be right there with the waves. Because of the single wall construction the bedrooms on the other side made it a bit noisy as people walked by and talked in the near by condos. It took some getting used to. The pool was close and very nice as well as the outdoor barbeque area. We also enjoyed being close the the activities on Alii Dr. It was very clean and comfortable. I think we would all go back again. It was also a pleasure to work with Jon. Thank you.

From my first inquiry, Jon was the most helpful property owner I have ever dealt with. He gave us lots of useful information about the condo, resort and area. The condo itself is exactly as described, very comfortable with everything needed for couples or a family. Every breakfast and many dinners were spent on the lanai gazing a the view. Definitely recommended and we would go back!

We have nothing but good things to say about the property. The view was amazing. We often spent evenings watching the surfers on the waves directly below the lanai. The condo was very specious, especially the kitchen (make sure you poke through the cupboards and fridge before you go shopping as we found them stocked with many of the items that we needed).
We used the BBQ's in the common area almost every night of our stay, they were a great place to meet and catch up with other guests - including the resident cat "Charlie". The pictures of the pool do not do it justice, the wi-fi was decent, parking was easy and the cafe connected to the property was a great place to start the day.
The owners were great to deal with and always responded to our emails within a day.
Next time we visit the Big Island we will most definitely we be staying in this unit as it perfectly suited our needs and price point. No complaints what so ever!

We stayed with two friends, and it would be perfect for one couple and two friends or a family. We really appreciated the two bedroom, two bathroom unit - and although the rooms and bathrooms were a little small, you just can't compare the price for anything else.

The only slightly negatives would be that the place is a little dated, but nothing that would keep anyone from wanting to stay there. The owner was very prompt with communication, and gave a lot of good information for us during our stay. I think it would be a perfect place for a family since the second bedroom has two twin beds. We were really happy with our stay, and is so nice to have a kitchen to cook your own breakfast and snacks. The location isn't really walking distance from the popular Ali'i Drive, but only a short car ride away.
The sands public beach is a great (and popular) place to swim and is very close. During our stay, this is where we saw MANY sea turtles... crowded with people, but the water was incredibly clear and we saw so many turtles!

the owner, jon, was very flexible and patient. he was and will be truthful with all inquiries! the unit is older but clean and well-maintained. it is well-equipped with all the beach-going essentials such as a guide book, beach towels, chairs, beach toys, a cooler, beach mats, large umbrellas, and some snorkel gear. and the location is perfect. clearly, the on-the-water placement is ideal. furthermore, the unit is close to the parking lot without road noise and an easy walk to town and the green flash coffee house. we will certainly return to jon's unit. thank you!
