We’ve been to Papakea many, many times. It’s the perfect stay for families. I rented the condo for my daughter and her toddler and husband. They reported everything was perfect, except some of the electrical outlets didn’t work. When not enough beach towels were there at check in time, the problem was quickly resolved.

This condo was the best VRBO property we have ever stayed at! The condo itself had everything we needed and more. The loft had two twin beds and a full bathroom which is perfect for our teen kids who don't want to share a bed. The master bedroom had the most comfortable bed as well as access to a second full bathroom. Both bedrooms were kept cool thanks to the great air conditioning. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we spent lots of time watching whales while drinking our coffee. We loved that there was beach supplies and chairs that we could use. It was always easy to find a parking spot, it was quiet at night, the elevator was close to the unit, the pool was heated and the hot tub was huge. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was great but having detergent and dryer sheets provided was a great surprise. We loved that shampoo, conditioner and body wash was provided. The complex was close to many shops and restaurants which could be walked to. Our only regret was that we didn't stay at this property longer. Next time we will be sure to add more days on to our Maui stay so we can enjoy this property more. Thank you to our hosts for making this condo available for others to enjoy.

Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The view was amazing, and the unit was spacious. However, we encountered multiple cleanliness issues upon arrival, including dirty items left in the unit, unclean dishes, and even hair on a towel. The biggest concern was the number of bugs in the upstairs sleeping area, which made part of the unit uncomfortable to use.Communication from management was also very frustrating, with slow responses and repeated follow-up needed throughout the stay that never happened. We have stayed at Papakea before and love the property and staff, which made this experience especially disappointing. This unit was through My Perfect Stays, not Papakea directly. What should have been a relaxing vacation became unnecessarily stressful because of issues that should have been addressed much earlier and more professionally.

We absolutely loved staying at this condo! It truly had everything we could possibly need—and then some. The space itself was top notch, with a beautiful modern design that made it feel both stylish and welcoming. We had a lovely stay here. Was exactly as described in the listing, breathtaking views and very clean. The resort itself is well maintained and quiet with plenty to do. The resort staff is very friendly. We enjoyed being able to walk to the food truck court just outside the resort along with Papi's Cinnamon Rolls! We would seek out a unit with a different property management company in the future.Our only issue with the stay was communication with the property management company, My Perfect Stays. We received conflicting information numerous times and during check in when the resort told me to call them with a question I had I was hung up on. We did have a few good interactions but most were not. I'm not going to detail every situation, just double check everything because the next person you speak with will tell you something entirely different. As a property management company for a resort myself, the entire experience was very disappointing.

This condo is outstanding. Being on the second floor and situated practically on top of the water creates an immersive experience that photos don’t do justice. The views are absolutely stunning and spectacular. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the balcony. The condo fit our family of four quite comfortably(2 tweens), but probably not suitable for four adults.The amenities were terrific and the grounds were maintained with meticulous care. On top of that, the communication from the hosts was an 11 out of 10; they were proactive, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The check-in and check-out process was completely seamless. For anyone seeking a great location with world-class views and professional management, this place is a winner. We cannot recommend it enough!

Our stay at this property was amazing! The condo was well furnished with everything we needed and it was very homey and comfortable. The description and pictures on line are very accurate. We spent every morning on the lanai enjoying our view. The pool on property was close and really nice. There are many walkable shops: cinnamon rolls, shaved ice, pizza. There are so many things to do all within about 15 minutes drive either direction. The location was great! Christine was very helpful and communication was timely. We would absolutely stay here again.

Loved staying in this studio with all the amenities needed for two people. I loved sitting outside and talking with others as they strolled by. Location of unit is one of my favorites with the ABC store right out the back gate along with several restaurants to walk to. Lisa was always available to answer messages . Highly recommend ! The views from this unit are stunning, and easily the highlight. The grounds are also beautiful, well-maintained, and pleasantly uncrowded, which creates a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience beyond the setting did not meet expectations. AC is listed as a primary feature of the unit, but it was not functioning during our stay. In Maui’s heat and humidity, this made a noticeable difference in overall comfort. We were initially advised to locate fans in the unit, but none were present. After follow-up, two fans were delivered, though three bedrooms were in use. At one point, the indoor humidity was so high that the large mirrored wall in the main living area showed visible condensation.Other details could be improved. Some towels were worn and stained, and a few fixtures (including wall-mounted items and the kitchen sink) did not appear to be fully secured. While not major issues on their own, these details impacted the overall feel of the stay.Communication from the property management team was timely, and we appreciate that. However, the resolution offered did not reflect the impact of the situation. We were given the option to cancel the remainder of our stay and rebook elsewhere, which would have been difficult to navigate during the spring break travel rush.We would consider staying at the resort again, but in a different unit and with a different property management service.

The view from this condo is lovely and made our stay. The unit could use some maintenance and upgrading, though. Cupboard door was broken under the sink and cupboard door left of stove wouldn’t stay shut. Black mold present around sink rim in bathroom and toilet definitely needs to be replaced, as it took 2-3 flushes each time and was constantly running. I would recommend a taller one for the comfort of older guests. We reported it to management company, but no one checked it. We also reported the screen door kept coming off the tracks, and they did come and fix that, which was greatly appreciated. Again, the view was beautiful!

This was a wonderful property in a great location! It had everything we needed. The property had access to a pool, was close to beaches and lots of restaurants, groceries, coffee shops. The property had events while we were there that were great for the whole family. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the everything was clean. Would definitely recommend this rental!

Our family had such a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was, it really made it easy to relax and feel at home right away.The location couldn’t have been better. Being right on the beach was an absolute dream. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and being just steps away from the sand. It made spontaneous beach time, sunset walks, and morning coffee with an ocean view part of our daily routine.The condo itself was thoughtfully equipped with plenty of amenities that made our stay comfortable and convenient. Everything we needed was right there, which made traveling so much easier.Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. We made amazing memories here and would absolutely love to come back again. The location of condo was excellent with everything we needed walking distance from there including beach, grocery store, restaurants, food trucks. The condo resort had kind staff and check in was very easy. The unit is great and kids enjoyed their loft bunk room. Air conditioning was great and we could see views from lanai. The kitchen is stocked minimally and we didn’t have bath mats or toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner for both bathrooms. Overall this is a really wonderful place to vacation.

This was an amazing condo all around. The location on the island is perfect- close to so many wonderful amenities (kaanapali boardwalk, restaurants and shops). The condo itself couldn’t be more perfect. The lanai is breathtaking. You truly can’t get closer to the ocean. The owner has provided everything you could possibly need (beach chairs, sand toys, beach towels, soaps, etc). You just need to pack your clothes and don’t worry about the extras- they are there for you! The owner has wonderful communication and truly cares for this amazing condo!

We had a very enjoyable comfortable stay with good communication from the host and great interaction with the resort reception. We feel like this is in a good location close to restaurants swimming hiking shopping and we really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls a three hour wait for those but what can you do that’s how long it takes to get them. It is an experience though, and everyone is doing it. You can tell by the long line that reaches all the way back to Papakea resort Our resort was well stocked as well and the washer and dryer was a major convenience for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We also looked at the books on the bookshelf to learn about the birds, flowers things to do, etc. that was nice.

We loved our stay at Papakea. Jean was prompt with responses to our questions and even checked in to see how the condo was after we arrived. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. The ground level condo was perfect for all the back and forth we did to the pool, shuffleboard, putting green, grill, walks, outings, and sunsets. We appreciated the included amenities, especially the beach chairs, boogie boards, and cooler bags. The resort was very relaxing and quiet. A beach area would've been nice, but we were able to go to beautiful beaches within five miles of the resort. It's also an easy walk to the grocery store, ABC store, food trucks, and other shops from the resort. We will be back again!

This ground floor unit was easy access to the office check-in, parking (free), pool, hot tub and beach.It’s clean, bright and modern with comfortable living and dining rooms. The open kitchen has modern appliances and dishes, etc. It has a drip coffee maker. You’ll need to go to the store for basics like filters, coffee, condiments, etc. It has a washing machine and dryer. Beds were so comfortable. Shower was great! Plenty of towels and closet space. Additional closets are filled with beach accessories (beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, cooler, boogie board, etc …)Patio has nice padded chairs and table. View is the beautiful garden with koi ponds, trees, and over a little bridge is the pool, spa, bbq grills, tables, lounge chairs and beach. Pool and spa were good temperatures. Everyone is friendly. They have games to play and fun activities (we did the Lei making). The beach stretches for miles in front of other resorts. We saw turtles, whales, and a black seal! It’s close to different restaurants and shopping malls (driving) and a strip mall across the street. And a grocery store is close by. The unit has mini splits for A/C with a 6-hour timer you have to reset. I had to call their local contact once for help getting to Papakea during a storm with road closures. He was amazing! He picked up immediately at 1:30 am. He was friendly, concerned, helpful and even made some calls to make sure we were clear to head out. And he texted later to make sure we made it.

Both this unit, and the host are top quality.We have stayed at this property in various units for the last ten years and this unit is the best that we have stayed in. It is ground floor and is across from the pool with views of ocean. It has quality bedding, furniture and the kitchen is very well stocked including all cooking and BBQ appliances and utensils. The sofa couch hide a bed is comfortable. The unit also has all the beach toys, snorkel, boogie board, sand toys etc. The unit has a higher end finish with respect to furniture and decor.We arrived in the middle of a decades worst Kona Storm but the host, Dawn, was great, super communicative and committed to making our trip great! Would definitely recommend and rate this unit as the best we’ve experienced at Papakea!

We have stayed at this resort several times, but it was our first time at this unit. It's ocean-front location is ideal. We could watch for whales and watch the sunset from our lanai. The kitchen was well stocked. Appliances seemed to be fairly new. Since we stayed in Feb - March, we did not use the air condiditoning. We did make use of the beach chairs and cooler. The pools and hot tubs were never overcrowded. I hope we will be back some day.

We loved our stay! Carol thought of everything, and was super responsive on any questions that we had. The condo was the cleanest we’ve ever been in, ahas comfortable beds, annd very well stocked kitchen. And the view is gorgeous! We had one ceiling fan that wasn’t working, and someone was sent out immediately to fix it, even though we didn’t ask for that. Wonderful stay, and we will be back!
