We had such an incredible time staying at this condo! It had absolutely everything we needed from boogie boards to Keurig coffee! The property was also beautiful. We loved the tennis, shuffleboard, pool, and cornhole. The cinnamon buns and scones at Papi's beside us were to die for! Overall, we would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future :)

This condo is NOT BRAND NEW! Very dated with worn out furniture and stained carpets throughout . Every vent from bathrooms to windows were caked with dust/dirt/grime. When first entering it seemed fine. Once opening things up the lack of upkeep was very evident. I've taken pictures of all this but don't know where I can send them.

Our family of seven stayed for about a week and the condo was perfect. Three bedrooms and three baths. I really enjoyed the fact that there were beach chairs and towels for us to use. Laundry as well right in the condo. Great location, warm pool, And just a lovely experience. Great communication with the owner as well.

Unfortunately, my family and I were only on Maui for 3 nights. We all agreed we wish we had more time in this incredible condo. The views couldn't be beat. Too many whales to count right outside and several sea turtles 30 feet from the retaining wall.
The check in / out process was very easy, and the owners were quick to answer any questions. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at this Maui property. The unit was just as depicted, and was a perfect fit for our family of 5, plus Grandma. All the necessary kitchen items were there to make everything that we desired, and were in relatively good shape. The unit also had beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and a cooler to make our daily excursions to the beach that much more fun. The property had a decent pool, and the kids really enjoyed the outdoor shuffleboard and putting green that was first come first serve. Brian was easy to get a hold of and very quick to respond with any questions we had.
All in all, a great Spring Break stay and we would absolutely book again!

This top floor unit worked great for our family of 5 during a week-long visit to Maui. It’s a two-story unit where the 2nd bedroom is an open loft above the living area. The loft has a shade that can be pulled across the railing for privacy and to block out light. It also has its own bathroom. The loft space worked well for our 3 kids. Views from the lanai were outstanding, with soothing surf sounds drifting in from the ocean.
The Papakea resort is well maintained and in a great location just north of the larger, busier resorts in Ka’anapali. We enjoyed the quieter atmosphere and much smaller crowds. There’s a small beach directly off the resort, but it’s only accessible at low tide. Otherwise the water comes up to the sea wall at the edge of the resort. However, there are wider beaches at the adjacent property to the south and just north of Papakea, which are an easy walk. You can snorkel straight out from these beaches or the resort, where there are reefs with lots of fish and even the occasional sea turtle. During our visit in March, we saw multiple whales out in the channel in front of the resort every day.
The resort is made up of condos with individual owners. It has a chill vibe with families playing in the lawn and putting greens, or grilling by the pool. There isn’t a restaurant or bar on the premises. However, the adjacent property has a pool side bar and restaurant that you can use. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot. We would definitely return.

I can’t say enough about this wonderful condo. The views are beautiful, the furniture is comfortable, and the property has a lot of fun amenities. This condo is so well supplied! Lots of beach gear (umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, towels) and the kitchen is the most well stocked I’ve ever seen in a rental. It was the perfect place to stay while we explored Maui.

Great one bedroom condo with full kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked with spices/oils and all the pots/pans/utensils and storage containers you could need. My favorite part of the condo was that it was on the ground floor with a nice view of the well maintained pond. We loved searching for the frogs at night and sitting on the patio for coffee and drinks. The property was simple but well maintained. My kids were happy meeting friends at the pool. The sandy portion of the beach at the condo isn’t very deep but good for a somewhat ankle wetting walk. Beds were comfortable and so much the temperature controls. Condo was steps from an ABC store and a short walk to food trucks and shops. We’d be happy to come back. Thank you for renting to us!

Nice ocean view from this condo. Saw whales almost every day from the lanai. The condo doesn't have air conditioning but in March/April it was not missed. Nice breeze comes through the unit. Everything we needed to cook with was there for our use. Would definitely stay there again.

We Love the Papakea Resort! This was our second stay and this condo did NOT disappoint! Located on the ground floor looking out to the ocean was so beautiful and front row seats for the sunsets! We saw whales and sea turtles; you can snorkel just out front as well. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The condo was clean and Bev the host provides everything you need right down to putters for the 12 hole putting green. This is a must if you want complete relaxation!! 5 stars!!

Our favorite thing about this property was watching 3 baby whales' antics every morning and evening from the lanai, just like playful puppies breaching and slapping their tails and waving their flippers. This corner unit was just perfect for our needs. We will rent here again.

We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the whales. We usually stay at a more secluded area of the island so we really enjoyed being able to walk to some cafes and coffee shops. The food truck park was a big hit for our group too. One note - my personal experience is that rentals on VRBO often don't come with as many amenities. This one had a large number of bathrooom towels which was an unexpected bonus - but you'll need paper towels and trash bags, dishwasher detergent, etc. (There will be enough for your first day or two)This isn't uncommon in other Maui rentals - but it's nice to know ahead of time. Plus, don't expect any type of shampoo/bodywash.

The location of this unit is fabulous as you are right on the ocean. The photo on the website is exactly what it looks like. And you can hear the ocean as you sleep. We stayed here for our 30th anniversary with our grown kids. The place was really clean and VERY WELL STOCKED with everything you need while there. Kitchen had everything. Lots of beach stuff too— towels, chairs, boogie boards etc. Papaeeka resort is nice but not a new resort. However it had tons of great stuff to do: shuffleboard, pickle ball and tennis courts, pool, hot tub and easy access to the ocean. The activities desk was AWESOME in helping get excursions set up as well as advice on everything. And situated close to many things - Lahaina right down the road, golf next door, a convenience store right across the street, food trucks every night just two blocks away, etc. etc.

We love the Papakea resort and have stayed there many times over the years. This particular unit is exceptionally well equipped and the views are to die for!! Not to mention it is like sleeping right over the ocean as you listen to the waves crashing on shore! No sound machine required. The sound of the ocean is far more soothing!! Overall, loved the property and the condo. Great price. Great location. One problem - we were there during a Heat wave: daily temperatures were 85-90 degrees. No big deal usually - I’m from a place which it gets to 100 over summer regularly. But for the condo - there is an air conditioning unit that must be run at all hours during the heat (unless you want the indoors to be over 80 degrees) BUT the AC unit is on the balcony and it blasts out extremely hot air making the entire balcony un-usable - a shame! We booked the place for the great balcony and the view, among other things. If we came back in November, it would probably be a non issue and we would stay here then. But given the Lahaina Kaanapali area runs hotter these summers compared to 10 years ago, we couldn’t stay here again over the summer.

Booking, communication and check in were effortless, thanks Roos Realty!! Location, view (watched whales from patio) pool, hottub, putting green and proximaty to ABC were outstanding. Walking distance to a few restaurants was definitely handy. The property was in need of a bit of refreshing although the kitchen was renovated and nicely stocked, bathrooms needed reno. The fridge had an ice maker, nice access to BBQ by the pool, dryer was slow to dry, dining table seated 8, a bit more patio furniture to seat 8 would be nice, air conditioning worked well - adjustable in each room, supplied beach towels and cooler, parking was fine, elevators as it was on the 4th floor. Overall great stay... thank you.

3 Greats, overall the unit itself was exactly as described and easily worked for our family of 5. The unit has been recently redone and shows with a newer kitchen and bathrooms. Oceanfront with beautiful views the entire time we were there. There is an accessible beach within steps....not a ton of sand but sitting up on the lawn while the boys swam and played below worked just fine.
We've stayed at this complex twice before and by far this was the nicest unit we've stayed in.

Wow, just WOW! This unit is absolutely perfect. The view alone makes it wonderful, but also the furnishings are gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds super comfortable. There were 5 adults staying here and plenty of room to move about. The location is close to restaurants, stores and shopping. The beach is great and at loan tide easy to walk. It's a little rocky so bring water shoes if you plan to go snorkeling. We saw whales from our deck and were fortunate to have a minus tide at night and got to see a octopus. Super fun and all the resort staff were amazingly nice and helpful.

Paradise found is the right name for this unit. We had a wonderful stay and had everything we needed. The host was super communicative and just lovely to be in touch with as we planned for our trip. This is our 3rd trip to Papakea and our favorite unit - we will be back. We love the laid back vibe of this resort. The condo had a great view of the ocean and right across from the pool which our kids loved. The pull out sofabed was also very comfortable, which is often not the case.
