Loved the location. Could use more pots and pans and spices. It was clean and comfortable and love the sound of the ocean at night. We had a power outage so it would have been good to have candles. But the battery lights worked well. Easy check in.

We appreciated being on the first floor, as it was easy to go to the pool or sit by the ocean. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking pots, dishes and utensils. We appreciated the cleanliness of the condo and the air conditioners in the common space and primary bedroom.

Host was very responsive. All amenities were great for our needs. Beautiful grounds. We were unlucky to have lost power for a full day (very unusual) and the grilles made it easy for us to have dinner and breakfast on the grille. More battery operated lights/flashlights would be a great add! We still had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Sprayed our room for bugs when I specifically asked them not too. My wife has allergies and asthma. The spraying bothered her. Power was out for 24 hours with no backup lights on the concrete stairs or walkway. No smoke detectors and dirty at base of shower door and kitchen floor by stove and sink. Good location and view

Views from the condo were excellent, great watching whales and turtles from the balcony! Grounds were very well maintained, pool and hot tub were very nice to have after a day of activities. Great location. Kitchen well stocked with anything you need. However, the condo is in need of some maintenance: TV in living room was not working when we arrived, it was partially fixed by property management tech but he indicated that a new cable box was needed, the one in the condo is very old. Dryer is very loud, makes clunking noise, sounds like the belt is going out. The Dyson vacuum holder/charger is falling off the wall, needs to be remounted. The water dispenser in the kitchen sink is very loose and wobbly. Shower curtain in main bathroom is stained with a bit of mold on it, should be replaced. One of the chairs for the table was broken and put in the master closet, so only 5 usable chairs for the table. Carpet on stairs and in the loft needs to be cleaned or replaced, it has stains.I'm not discouraging anyone from staying in this condo, just bringing to light some maintenance issues to property management that may be missed by the cleaning crew. Overall I'd still recommend this condo if you can overlook some minor maintenance issues.

The view is exactly as advertised! We could watch the whales almost anytime of day and the sunsets were incredible. Papakea Resort has a real community feel with BBQs by the pool, lounge chairs in the grass, and snorkeling steps at the sea wall. Dawn was very accessible and reached out to us on our day of arrival to see if we needed anything.

The condo is just as pictured. Beautiful view, clean, comfortable beds and nice showers with soap, shampoo and conditioner and lotion. Has a few washer pods and dish pods to get you started. Beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas to take on your adventure for the day. Resort pools are clean and not crowded. No beach but it is a very short walk away.

Our 5 night stay at Papakia in was exceptional. I have stayed at this resort a number of times and this was by far the best experience for a number of reasons. Location- what’s not to love about a ground floor ocean facing condo steps away from the water. Convenience- the condo is was also the closest proximity, ( 30 sec walk) in reality you can get to the pool , BBQ and hot tub area, and no- noise was not a problem at all. The condo was modern and well equipped with all you would expect. What I also like about this building and the location of the unit is that it’s a straight shot to the reception and parking area, makes a big difference when your carting groceries and luggage etc.. BTW Papakia does have plenty of trollies available to assist.Our host was a superb communicator, it was very helpful when I had questions etc.Oh, and being on the bottom floor was not a hindrance in any way from a noise standpoint- the complex in general is peaceful and quiet but I might also mention there was really zero noise from any of the above floors. I would highly recommend the Papakia report and particularly this unit, spend the extra money for this unit, you will not be sorry.

Dawn's condo is in our opinion the best unit at Papakea. It is close to the pool but not too close, on the ground floor to walk out and enjoy the grass. Dawn is also very responsive and a great host!

We found the resort difficult to find and our GPS kept taking us a block past the entrance making it a challenge to locate in the dark, late in the evening. The condo has a beautiful view facing the ocean and we were able to sit on the deck watching whales every single day! That was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer very handy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance and the award winning cinnamon roll place just right at the resort entrance. Amazon will deliver to the front office where you can pick up any package which is handy as well. The air conditioning was broken but when I called the property manager immediately contacted the owner and it was repaired while we were there. I found the management company to be very responsive to any request or concern. I would be very happy to stay here again in the future. Lovely place!

We had a wonderful time on our family girls trip in this spacious condo. We used the beach chairs & umbrella & the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our meals & make coffee. Great views, a short walk to the beach, coffee shops & restaurants. We enjoyed the hot tub & pool. The check in & out was easy & the staff were friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The host did an outstanding job of communicating before and during our stay as well as checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. "Michelle's Maui Tips" on what to do and where to eat where very helpful. The home itself was very comfortable with an ocean view even better than what you see in the photos. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with all you need. She has chairs, cooler, umbrella-all you need for an afternoon on the beach. This is an easy walk to many beaches, restaurants and a grocery store. We really enjoyed our stay!

The condo is in an ocean-front resort, but the unit itself does not have direct beachfront access as expected. The AC was limited to 74F, which made sleeping uncomfortable. After raising these concerns, no partial refund was offered. I would not book again.

The unit was filthy. Bed was not made, we had to wash the sheets. Walls and door covered with dirt and grime. Closet smelled of rotten fish. Pillows and mattresses are very old. We checked out early because we just couldn't stay there any longer. Host was less than helpful.
