If you're debating between this place or one of those resorts or hotels on the island do not even debate it for another second. I worked remotely from this location for 4 nights and walked directly from my computer into the ocean. I got dinner at this AMAZING little pizza place nearby which is currently donating all its proceeds to the fire relief effort. I ate at a more traditional Hawaiian place also in walking distance. I picked up anything else I needed for the kitchen from the ABC Store on my walk back. I got curious about the beach and bars over by the resorts so I walked over to check it out, downed a Mai Thai, and decided I liked my beach better and walked back. My only regret is that I paid the rental company for a full tank of gas and I didn't use the car once between arriving to my destination and leaving.

Tacked on a few days to a business trip at The Pikake. Days before my stay, Marcie called to say a water leak had impacted my unit and offered me this renovated one instead at the same price. We had a lovely stay. We watched the amazing sunsets every night. We watched the turtles play in the reefs just off shore

This was simply a wonderful condominium with a superb location. Just about 20 feet away from the beach, we were sung to sleep with the surf, and enjoyed watching multiple turtles in the surf. We actually say more turtles here, than anywhere else on Maui. We loved the unit, it was clean, modern, with excellent update kitchen, bathroom etc.
As nice as the unit was, I feel the measure of a product is best made when problems arise. There was a plumbing problem in the shower. I contacted Marcie via text, and she had a plumber over in a very short time. We went to breakfast, and when we returned, everything is resolved. Kathy and I plan on returning to Maui in the not to distant future, and we definitely plan on staying there again.

Walk 20 ft and you will see turtles of all sizes swimming in the ocean with daily surprises on the beach. Reminder DON’T touch the turtles! We enjoyed this location so much we stayed the majority of our vacation in place. You can walk to the store and local farmer’s market. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of this magical location. I can’t wait to come back again and again!

The Condo was spectacular and exceeded expectations on all fronts. It looks exactly like the pictures (or better!). The beach is truly steps away and the location is ideal as it is close to many beaches. The unfortunate thing for us was that we were there when the fires happened and burned down Front Street so our stay was cut short.
The host was very attentive despite the tragic circumstances and found . I will definitely look at other properties from her.

The view is simply stunning!! Even without a/c, the fans and window vents function well to keep air circulating so the condo isn’t overly stuffy. The kitchen is great for the chef in your life and is well stocked. The mattress and pillows are pillowy soft. But what really sparked our interest was the craftsmanship of the renovation. Whoever did their electrical work is a real pro - Lutron switches everywhere to make energy efficiency a breeze! We’d love to stay at this condo again!!

My third time at the Pikake, each time at a different ground level unit. Very clean and updated with well supplied kitchen. King bed was very comfortable. Love the lawn with shower that leads to a small beach. Beautiful sunsets with views of Molokai. Host is quick to respond and very gracious. My husband and I decided to island hop from Oahu to Maui. I found this gem on the beach and I had to book it right away. It was perfect! The property is literally feet from the ocean with it's own beach!! It was absolutely perfect. The condo is not only super close to the beach but also walking distance to stores and other restaurants.

Visited this gem and I wish we could have stayed longer. We left our resort in Kaanapali and made a stop here for our last night in Maui. It was perfect for our little family of four. The place had all the necessary amenities and then some. Jason and Lilly were gracious hosts and communication was excellent (so important especially when traveling). The place was clean and comfortable, and the private beach is just about 20 yards from the back patio. Great place to watch the sunset, and I can l imagine how amazing it would be during whale season.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at Marcie's place and it was a perfect stay. You can't beat the location. There is a beautiful view with amazing snorkeling feet from the balcony where you will see tons of turtles. You are also only a few miles away from Honolau Bay for some of the best snorkeling on Maui. Beyond the location, the condo has everything you may need to be comfortable. We usually cook most of our meals and have found the kitchen fully stocked.

Pay attention to these backyard photos! It was every bit of what is shown! We loved stepping right out of the unit to enjoy sunset, snorkeling and seeing the turtles. We loved the location of this unit on the property for privacy as well. Thank you too for the beach towels and beach gear!
We closed the screen door at night which made for the living room where our son slept to be warmest. Another more powerful portable fan in that room would be aces. The manager offered to refund us to purchase one, so Amy was helpful there, but given the length of our trip, we didn’t see that thru. The master was much better cooled with open windows at night.
Overall, it’s a great location for enjoying Kapalua down to Lahaina. Everyone staying at Pikake was so nice and Amy, the manager, was super accommodating and responsive! Highly recommend!

This property is perfect if you are looking to be only steps from the Ocean. The property has access to a small beach as well as a lawn with chairs for catching some sun and a shower for rinsing off the salt.
The lack of A/C may be a turnoff for some guests, but no A/C is fairly standard in Hawaii and is no issue for us. We happily trade the A/C you might have in a larger hotel for this kind of access to the water!

We had a restful stay at the condo celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had all but 3 of our meals out on the lanai while enjoying the ocean view and breeze.
The condo had everything we needed to prepare our meals and drinks. We used the grill twice to cook dinner while enjoying the view. The sunsets were beautiful.
The bed was very comfortable the microfiber sheets were very soft (a little warm for me but my husband thought they were just right). The ceiling fan and the ocean breeze make the temperature just right.
We ventured out several times to explore the beaches but always felt the beach at the condo was just right. We swam everyday in the perfect water and saw turtles everyday. We will definitely be staying here again.

A great place, perfect size for two. Perfectly situated. Condo was very clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, beach gear and towels, ok bed. Bathroom a bit dated, but shower was great. Comfortable outside table and chairs facing the ocean, with Molokai and Lanai islands to view. The beach couldn't be better, just a few steps away to blue heaven and swimming with sea turtles. Nice grassy area with shared lounge chairs, beautiful foliage including plumeria and visiting birds. The neighborhood was great, right next to a park, Farmer's Market store, coffee shop. Also, an amazing Congregational Church with Sunday service in Hawaiian and English and ukulele. There is so much to do on Maui, but I really liked just staying at this spot the best. Was absolutely a wonderful experience, dreaming of going back.

The property was in a great location that did not seemed to be overrun with other vacationers and provided some seclusion with the beach right off the property. The sunsets are a thing of beauty that only require you to step out the sliding door. Marcy’s place at the Pikake is absolutely wonderful! The beach just a few steps from the lanai feels private and there seemed to never be more than a family or two enjoying it at the same time. The snorkeling gear provided was much appreciated, and we took full advantage of it. Honolua bay is just a short drive away and has some of the best snorkeling on the island! Laundry facilities on site were helpful too.

This condo was beautiful! Inside was tastefully decorated, stocked with all the necessities, and the view and ocean access was amazing! We were so surprised to see the kitchen stocked with everything from dishes and cookware, to spices and seasonings. Although we didn’t use them this time, we were pleased to see that the owners provided boogie boards and snorkel gear too.
The view from our patio was amazing and just steps from the beach. Even the sea turtles love it there! We saw so many daily. Will definitely be staying here again!

The condo is located in the perfect location away from the more touristy areas but is very close to all amenities. The view and beach access are amazing as were the daily sea turtle visitors. The pictures shown in the listing are accurate!!! The hosts also thought of everything to ensure we felt welcome and at home. Initially, we were looking for the normal basic resort style condos, but this listing came up on Vrbo and I’m so glad it did because this location is perfection.
The views of being 20 ft away from the beach and seeing not 2 but 3! Of the other Hawaiian islands was just breath taking. Every night the sunset is perfectly in your center vision, the views, the colors, the everything is so beautiful it’s hard to describe.
I would also like to highlight Marcie as she was always ready to answer questions we had through the app. Really top notch service.

This is quite a hidden gem. Our family had an amazing time swimming and seeing turtles everyday right in the ocean in front of us. The sunsets were amazing every night with the concha shell blowing that the kids enjoyed. The only dislike was with having the windows open-you can hear the loud street traffic and neighbors at the complex next door! Great place tho! Thanks for sharing this with us for our vacation.

I am sometimes reluctant to book VRBO properties when I’m very unfamiliar with the area and having been burned in the past by super edited photos. That definitely was not the case with this one. It was so clean & nicely updated. We enjoyed just sitting outside most of the day, snorkeling & had the best sleep of our life with the constant breeze/wonderful fans. The extras Marcie had available for us were an added bonus like an umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels, air fryer, blender, etc. The bed was so comfortable she gave me the name of it so I can get one at home, lol. The condo was wonderful for our 10 day stay in Maui. The condo was very clean, in great condition, the bed was comfortable (I have back problems) and had everything we needed. The location is wonderful and walking distance to stores, restaurants, local food trucks, etc. Filipp was quick to respond to texts re: a few questions we had about check in, gate codes, mail etc. There was plenty of fresh towels for the bath and beach. We spent lots of time watching and listening to the ocean from the lanai or the recliners, and spent time on the beach right in front of the condo. We did not need ac as there are plenty of ceiling fans and louvered windows. This is an end unit which made for even more windows for air and light. We would highly recommend this for a couple or a couple with one child.

A very nice condo right on the beach. Rather than luxury I would say it’s comfortable. We were surprised to have no A/C but appreciated all the fans. They help a lot. Really appreciated the beach umbrella and chairs - a nice feature!
Heads up to anyone wanting to go to the black sand beach on the road to Hana… reservations are now required. We visited 7 years ago, drove all the way up there only to be refused.

Nice and comfortable ocean front corner condo. Filipp was easy and responsive to communicate with.
This rental is in an older 12 unit building with this unit being an updated corner unit that is well equipped and comfortable furnished. The beach in front was never busy and one can swim and snorkel there when the ocean is calm. The balcony was our favorite to just sit and enjoy the view! My 2 Gen Z’ers were happy to find so many great food and shopping options within safe walking distance to explore since they are still too young to drive a rental car. Ms Arepa was our favorite, friendliest service on the island, a block south across from the park.
It was perfect for us but for people with mobility issues (steep stairs) or who is sensitive to road noise or happy children playing loudly - this might not be the spot for you. The condo has no AC so it is Maui style cooling with open louver windows and fans which gives the privacy similar to a campground.
We would definitely stay at this place again.

The location of this condo couldn’t have been better for our family. The small community of Honokowai was quaint with smaller restaurants and markets. It felt tucked away from the crowds of Kaanapali but was only a 10 minute drive to Whalers Village, and about a 15 minute drive to Lahaina town and Honolua Bay (such good snorkeling- go early, don’t let the crowds/parking scare you it truly was an experience). The beach in front of the property is small but it’s perfect for swimming and snorkeling. We only went to another beach once because we had everything we needed within steps of the back door. Turtles arrived everyday at and around high tide to feast on the reefs. Coffee on the Lanai every morning was my favorite activity along with laying out on the loungers. The condo itself was nice. It was really hard to keep sand out of the condo despite cleaning your feet before going in. The rug outside needed to be swept after a day or so of being there. If you don’t like the gritty feel of sand on your feet you’ll likely find yourself sweeping multiple times a day. At sundown all the neighbors blew on their conch shells and that was a fun nightly tradition. This condo has three so each kiddo had their own. Overall such a great vacation for the entire family. We can’t wait to come back to the Pikake… many Mahalos for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

Amazing location. We saw so many sea turtles AND a little family of humpback whales breaching right off the balcony. That was an incredible experience. I loved just walking down to the beach and floating in my tube. The big waves were fun! There is a little park with a swing set just a block away. We got acai bowls from the Farmers Market and ate them at the park with an incredible view and shade from the beautiful trees.
The other vacationers are super friendly. Lots of them have been coming here for years.
The place is exactly as pictured and awesome. We loved it. I really appreciated the kid plates/cups/utensils. The fans and cross breeze really do keep it cool.
We had some trouble with the keypad and i texted the host and he called me immediately and helps me. That was very wonderful.
We had a great time. Incredible stay.

This was our 3rd time in this unit. New owners have done a wonderful job with updates. Unit is so clean. Slept better here than at home. Yes it’s really 20’ from the beach. We had 2 weeks of relaxing and listening to ocean waves and the most beautiful sunsets. Great communication with owners. Thanks Marcie for sharing your home.

What are the most comfortable places I've stayed. We got to snorkel with turtles right in front of the condo. Everything about this condo is amazing. Highly recommended for your maui vacation.

We have stayed on this property before but first time in this condo and it did not disappoint. I really do feel like this is a small piece of heaven. The property only has 12 condos and you have a private sandy beach. We loved that it’s on the bottom floor which made it easy just to walk to and from the beach. The condo itself was great. There is no AC but the evenings cool down and when you open the windows it’s quite comfortable and a chance to hear the waves crashing. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, nice blender, toaster, etc. we cooked quite a bit and felt I had everything needed to cook, everything seems to be well thought out! Provided plenty of towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler. 10/10 we will be looking to stay here again on our next Maui trip. Thank you Jason.

Marcie was prompt with her replies and answered all of the questions we had. The unit was clean and spacious and the kitchen was stocked with anything that we could need. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved being able to watch whales from the balcony! The location of the complex was convenient and we loved our stay so much, that we booked again for next year! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Great place. Right on the water. Walk to lots of simple food places for take out.
You can see turtles out in front, swim and snorkel.
Ocean is right there and waves are crashing on the reef.
But, This is what I love! Lulled to sleep by the waves!
Kitchen is well equipped. We cooked most of our breakfast in the condo and had breakfast on the lanai.
Lots of families and kids. It’s not a party place, it’s not a resort. It’s the best, nice place on the water to enjoy! We hope to return someday! 😊

Filipp’s condo is right on the beach! We watched the waves, turtles, and whales every morning on the lanai with coffee. Couldn’t ask for a better location- on the water and short walk to the snorkel rental, coffee, and small market. We love the small beach in front of the condo and swam/snorkeled every day. The condo was perfect for 2 people, clean, tidy, and well-stocked kitchen. The fans kept the condo cool to sleep, even when we closed some of the windows that face the street. Plenty of cookware, Tupperware, and spices. We brought our own coffee and were all set. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely stunning property. Was even better than it looked, and it looked incredible. Best spot on the island. Marcie was great - our dream is to come back here. Swam with turtles multiple times in front of the property, saw whales. Went to the farmers market and spoke with the Hawaiian version of Ted Lasso who works there. Ate the best cinnamon rolls at Papis Ohana down the street, and the best fish of our life at the food truck Kaipos down the street. A dream vacation!!!

Very happy with our stay. The condo is a bit dated but you won't care when you are looking at the ocean all day. There is no A/C which could be an issue in hotter months. We were there end of March and the breeze at night kept us cool and comfortable. The bed should be updated soon, but otherwise we were more than happy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Overall this worked very well for us. The noise from the building next door was noticeable but wasn’t too bad. My only complaint is there weren’t any coffee filters. The snorkeling in front was amazing. Overall it was a very convenient location and we would definitely stay at the Pikake again.

Lovely local neighbourhood with all amenities walking distance. Condo was clean and comfortable and you can't beat the west-facing lanai just steps from the beach. Loved seeing so many whales during their season, though a pair of binoculars would have been a great addition to the condo cupboard! A great place to relax the days away or head out on daily adventures from.

We have stayed at this property before but in a different unit. The proximity to the private beach (20’ from the lanai), is unmatched by any other vacation rentals (that we have found).
This area is also prime for snorkeling as the rock formations act as a breaker for waves and allow for calm clear water everyday.
During this time of year it is almost a guarantee that you will see whale and turtle activity daily. The unit offers beach towels and plenty of gear for use.
There are countless places to eat and a small market near by for stocking the fridge and pantry.
We will definitely stay at the Pikake again in the future.

This was our fifth trip to Maui and our fifth stay at this great condo. Having stayed at countless places all over the planet, this vacation home remains at the top of the list. What's not to love about the location, views, patio, lawn, beach, waves, sun, and surf? Nothing! The condo is always clean, and has all the amenities we need on a trip to this beautiful island. And Amy is a great host. We love this place and cannot wait to visit again in 2024!

This place is an absolute gem. Main floor, you walk out on your grassy lawn and there is the beach! We saw an abundance of wildlife, turtles every day stunning themselves on our beach, whales, stingray, fishies, salamanders, and even a sandbar shark! The place had every single thing you could want for. Was clean and comfy. We will be back! Amy was an amazing host, super responsive and helpful.

This is the first place we have stayed on Maui where we almost never left the property during the week we were there. Beautiful beach, good snorkeling and whale watching. The condo was well taken care of ( we loved the recliners) and we'll stocked. It was comfortable even without air conditioning. We would love to come back for a longer visit.
