Trip of a lifetime for us and this condo couldn’t have been more perfect! It went above and beyond – super clean, killer views, and cozy-chic! Check-in was a breeze, tons of parking, and the place was well-kept. Bonus points for having snorkeling gear, cooler, and beach chairs – made our beach days even more awesome. Perfect location to check out different beaches or grab a bite to eat, but honestly the kitchen had everything for homemade meals too. Kim and Scott are fantastic hosts- easy communication, personable, and kind. We will definitely be back. Totally recommend it!

I stayed along to get some rest and take in the views. I was not disappointed. I felt safe on the 4th floor to leave the patio door open. I could lay in the bed and look at the ocean. I would have my morning coffee on the patio because of the beautiful view. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal.

We had already been traveling in other parts of Hawaii for a week before we got the details about our stay here - location, keys, parking pass. The parking pass neede to be printed. Of course, we didn’t have access to a printer, but we were able to find a copy shop/storage business that had printing services and print the paring pass, so not a big deal. Just “a thing”.
There’s a red dust that coats everything there. Could be from construction going on, or could just be indigenous to area. We did not wear footwear inside, as requested (and I’m certain that policy contributes to the cleanliness, and helps maintain the shine on the tile floor) but our socks, feet, and inside of all our footwear was stained with the rust colored dust. Wear black socks inside, and don’t wear those socks with your footwear.
No AC - not a big problem. The cross breeze created when front & back doors are open simultaneously is sufficient. One of the fans in the bedroom didn’t work (that was problematic for one of us😉).
The only cutting board I found was about 4”X6” - not large enough for the amazingly delicious, gigantic “Maui Gold Pineapples” that are plentiful on the island. Luckily, we had picked up enough literature on our comings-&-goings that I had enough newspaper to cut our pineapples on.
Sidewalk right outside the complex will take you to plenty of restaurants and beachside parks that you won’t need to drive there. You can walk off some of the calories before and after consumption.

This was our 9th trip to Maui and 8th time in the Honokowai area on lower Honoapiilani road. We like the quieter pace of that area. We stayed at Hale Ono Loa and it was what we expected, clean and simple with a fully functional kitchen. We also knew going in there wasn't much of a beach directly in front of this, but two beaches within easy walking distance and a short drive to others. Also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. One minor issue, the hotel pool was a little on the cold side, I understand it's solar heated, not a big deal, the pool was still usable. Otherwise the room was perfect for us, maybe even a little nicer than we expected, we'd stay there again.

Have stayed in this complex 4 time. The unit was nicer than any of the others. It is the lower level so your beach viewing is mildly restricted. I believe that’s reflected in the awesome price.

I don't know where the five star reviews came from that encouraged us to book here. We were disappointed the minute we walked through the door. Old furniture, old carpet under the coffee table. The bed gave us the worst sleep we have ever had on a holiday. The microfiber sheets were awful. The lighting on the patio was dismal- you could not see what was on your plate. The only redeeming feature was the view, grounds and location.

Thanks to Steve, the trip was a resounding success! The unit has a great view, very clean, up to date appliances and furnishings. He communicated with me frequently coming up to the date of check-in, ensuring that it would go flawlessly despite him not being on location. There were no complications, but had there been, he gave me all the confidence that they would have been fixed quickly and painlessly.

The condo is nicely laid out and has an incredible view of the ocean. The deck is perfect for morning breakfast and working on your computer (wifi is solid). The full kitchen is equipped for cooking a meal. Bed was comfortable. Lots of thoughtful extras like robes and snorkel gear. It is perfect for a couple.
Pool is super clean and the BBQ's worked great - especially when we lost power for an evening. The area is not completely back to normal, but there was everything you need and the people all said, "please come - we need your business to feed our families". There are some wonderful opportunities to volunteer and help at distribution centers that give out food and clothing for the Laihina Town fire victims. We did a few shifts at Napili Park and it was the highlight of our trip.
There is no AC but we had no shortage of winds on this trip - so we were fine. The open windows and doors does allow road noise into the unit - but if you have stayed at most any older beachfront resort in Hawaii - this is expected. But being able to walk to several local community coffee shops and restaurants is the trade off. Parking was easy at the complex. Communication with owners was great, which was good as we had not gotten the email with code for the door and we were able to get it quickly via text with owner.
The turtles right in front of the complex were plentiful and so fun to watch. We would stay here again!

We stayed a week at this condo and we had a great time. We were a little worried when we first arrived that there was no air conditioning (unusually warm for October) but once we opened up ALL the windows we were able to relax and sleep comfortably. The cross breeze we got from the windows was delicious.
We did see some MINOR fix issues that we wanted to make sure that we would not be responsible for and emailed the owner with pictures. She responded right away and even though it was not necessary, she got the issues fixed right away.
If we have to complain about something, I would say that the bathroom could use a little more ventilation. It has a fan but after a shower, we had to make sure to leave the door open to try and cool the bathroom. Also, we thought that there was a beach (with sand). The beach steps drop down into a rocky area where you can get into the water. Although we did see the turtle swimming.
If you are visiting, you HAVE to be in the room at sunset. There is a gentleman who blows a conch shell in the condo complex, speaks Hawaiian and gives a positive message. In no way is this loud or annoying. This really added to our experience of Hawaii.
After a couple of days in the condo complex we felt safe enough to leave the door open (when we were in the condo). I know that this is probably not suggested by the condo owner, but the complex just felt safe and the area felt safe.
We will DEFINITELY be requesting to stay at this condo again.

Very quiet location, great if you want to relax and not be in the hustle and bustle of Kaanapali, but close to everything on the West shore. I’d say complex is on the older side and unit does not have air conditioning. Left windows open the entire time and was comfortable enough. Decent complex amenities and unit was well stocked with everything we needed.
