We had already been traveling in other parts of Hawaii for a week before we got the details about our stay here - location, keys, parking pass. The parking pass neede to be printed. Of course, we didn’t have access to a printer, but we were able to find a copy shop/storage business that had printing services and print the paring pass, so not a big deal. Just “a thing”.
There’s a red dust that coats everything there. Could be from construction going on, or could just be indigenous to area. We did not wear footwear inside, as requested (and I’m certain that policy contributes to the cleanliness, and helps maintain the shine on the tile floor) but our socks, feet, and inside of all our footwear was stained with the rust colored dust. Wear black socks inside, and don’t wear those socks with your footwear.
No AC - not a big problem. The cross breeze created when front & back doors are open simultaneously is sufficient. One of the fans in the bedroom didn’t work (that was problematic for one of us😉).
The only cutting board I found was about 4”X6” - not large enough for the amazingly delicious, gigantic “Maui Gold Pineapples” that are plentiful on the island. Luckily, we had picked up enough literature on our comings-&-goings that I had enough newspaper to cut our pineapples on.
Sidewalk right outside the complex will take you to plenty of restaurants and beachside parks that you won’t need to drive there. You can walk off some of the calories before and after consumption.

Have stayed in this complex 4 time. The unit was nicer than any of the others. It is the lower level so your beach viewing is mildly restricted. I believe that’s reflected in the awesome price.

Enjoyed this cozy condo with my hubby. It’s comfortable, easy to get to, and close to many attractions on the Kaanapali side of Maui. It’s a 45 min drive from the airport but not a problem if you have a rental car and don’t plan too many activities on the other side of the island.

I wish we had more time to just enjoy the condo. It was such a great place, in spite of no a/c, with the availability of multiple fans and open doors/screens for airflow at night it was quite comfortably pleasant. We had a problem one day with the pull out bed getting stuck and they helped us fix this quickly and timely. The view is just beautiful, both to the pool and the ocean beyond. The neighbors were quiet and we had no issues with noise. I loved this property and would come again if we ever get the chance!

Overall the property is awesome. It is smaller but as shown in the photos. The unit was clean, well furnished and an excellent location.
The information I received from the property management company was not complete, there were no extra keys as stated and there was not a parking pass.
After speaking with the property management company they were to arrange for a 2nd set of keys and parking passes - but either were provided during our trip.
Again the unit is great and as advertised, it was just the other "issues" that made the rental less than perfect.

This suite was just what we needed. It has a great location, yet quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this suite! There are groceries, fuel and shopping all nearby.

Unfortunately, the pictures and original description (they changed after we complained) were inaccurate. The place was not very clean, there were a lot of bugs, and all the utensils, furniture and renovations are definitely not new as previously stated. We left and had to find a new place to stay after one night because we were so uncomfortable. The owners were also not very nice when we complained. It was a very stressful experience all around and I don't recommend it at all.

Incredible ! This listing is exactly as described and really completed our stay in Maui. We went in April and even without AC the airflow was great and we loved using the sun deck for sunsets and being able to eat or have a coffee on the outdoor patio space. It was centrally located in West Maui and easy to drive anywhere as well as there was a bus stop right outside which made it easy to go into Lahaina.
We loved this condo and hoping I can book it again when I return!

We loved the condo, nice room, great price point. It would be nice if you could access the pool from outside of the unit but you can’t, you have to walk around, It’s not a big deal but it is unusual set up for a ground floor unit. There is a Keurig in the room, in addition to the coffee maker, which wasn’t listed, it’s nice to know when you’re picking up groceries which kind of coffee to get.

We were perfectly situated for our two month stay in Maui. The unit had everything we needed to make it our home away from home. We cooked meals daily and had everything we needed in the kitchen to do so. The bathroom had space for two and was newly redone. We loved having the Lanai as additional outdoor living space with a view of the ocean and the lovely pool which look’s especially beautiful at night. The condominium complex is wonderful, clean and beautiful. The location was ideal for us too as we did not have a car and took the bus daily. There are plenty of beach supplies in the closet, we did not have to buy or rent anything. Our hosts Ashley Lisa and Tim were so responsive and helpful. It was just great to be able to do this special trip and end up with the perfect location and place to stay. Thanks again!!

The condo is beautiful and perfect for 2 people. The kitchen has everything, the living room has a giant couch and TV. There is no A/C, and the mattress of the bed is very soft. For everything else, we loved stayed there.

We had a great experience at this lovely condo. We’ve stayed at Hale Ono Loa many times before, but this was our first time in this unit and we were not disappointed. Well stocked, comfortable and just what we needed for a home base to enjoy our week and a half Maui stay. The property is great, with a nice pool area, barbecue and sun deck (great for watching the sunset and seeing turtles swim off short). There is a nice little beach just a few mins walk that we visited often, and Honokawai Beach Park is a 5 min walk down the road (across from Boss Frogs). Within easy driving distance of many of the best beaches on Maui, and close to restaurants and shopping. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

It took 4 days to figure out the TV, cable box and remotes. I had to go back to WalMart by the airport to purchase batteries for the remotes and replace batteries in TV remote and the volume remote. The TV remote was not working well even after I replaced the batteries. It looked like the remote was dropped/damaged, Tried to call Greg the on site property manager/ repair man and the phone number in the (rules/instruction book) was not correct. I then had to e-mail VRBO to contact customer service to get Greg's correct phone number. Each time I called him, to help me fix the problem with the remotes he was always off the island. Then we had problems with the keys and the lock box and some man named Rory who lived in the first condo next to the office helped us get the keys out of the lock box. He only helped us because I knocked on his door and ask for help. My friend and I were sitting in the area by the front office for a while before I knocked on his door. It was obvious to me that he was some kind of on site substitute property manager and he helped us with the lock box but he had a real bad attitude toward us, like we were two old ladies (which were are 67 and 73). He was very unfriendly with a bad attitude. The property was very nice close to Lahana, very clean but if this were my condo I would get a better property management company.

Clean, good pool, views are nice and we did see turtles right off shore. Tons of kitchen supplies and towels. Easy to walk to various places near by. We enjoyed the small beach for calm swimming. The bed was far too soft, but everything else was great.

This proved to be a wonderful place to stay. Nice and clean facilities, beach access beautiful swimming pool. Centrally located to all of the things that we wanted to do here on this beautiful island. Casey and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did the road to Hana, snorkeling trip, luau, jumped off Black rock, doorless helicopter ride. A wonderful wonderful experience.

Good location. A little north but accessible all over. Fed the turtle doves on the morning out in the patio. The spotted turtle dove which was bigger blended with the smaller ones.
In the evening you can go on top of a landing next to the ocean and watch the sunset. There is a turtle that feeds every evening off shore.

The rental was in a good location and has good views/pool. Gave it 4 stars only because the bed was extremely uncomfortable, causing us to have to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed, due to the back pain. Other then that, it would be a 5 star place!

Great place to stay for our vacation. Conveniently located and loved seeing the turtles and whales. We even had a mother and her two baby zebra doves just outside of our lanai. The ceiling fans and breezes made it very comfortable.

Noise: Construction10 days out of 15, close to road, parking, bedroom fan, bathroom door, 5:00 AM neighbors driving away and sprinklers
Dust/Dirt: Oven, lamp shades, door jams, fans, beech chairs, cooler, floors, futon, chair and sofa, BBQ.
The unit was not to a standard that we expected, got smoked out by a neighbor smoking weed for three days. The bed mattress way too soft and should be replaced, as well as the old futon with springs almost protruding.
Would have not rented had we known about the building renovation and repainting project. One of the units had the whole doors, windows and concrete floors removed for renovations, lots of noise.
Upon arrival we brought a deficiency to the owners attention which was looked after in 2 days to our satisfaction, however we didn't complain about the rest as the list was growing too long to be looked after properly during our stay, we valued our time in Maui and we didn't want the hassle of finding another accomodation so we spent most of our time as much as we could away from the unit.
I believe that the owners are very good, honest and mean welll but too far away to really look after their property/investment.

This was a great retreat in a perfect location. We always worry about upstairs people when we stay in a ground floor unit... not here - very quiet and even street noise was minimal. The condo was clean and as described on website. Ashley the property manager was easy to communicate with. The pool could have been a little warmer but that is the only small complaint. The ocean was the warmest we have ever swam in November! Love this unit and complex and will return one day! Many Mahalo's

My Husband and I wanted to find a place in Maui that was affordable but still beautiful. This place was perfect! Right in Lahaina close to all the shopping and good food! We booked a few excursions prior to our trip and they were all easy to get to from the property. It was a very quiet and peaceful place with beautiful views and great balcony walk out since it was bottom floor! We love it here! We will for sure stay again!!
